Post-secondary institutions are required to complete a variety of quality assurance activities including external program review, a process of inviting external reviewers from outside the institution to provide constructive feedback on all aspects of an academic program. While external program reviews have been completed for decades, there has been little work to ensure that meaningful change occurs as a result. Assessment of outcomes at the department level are limited and research specifically considering external academic program review as a primary quality assurance activity is scant. Each of these limitations is even more significant when considered at the institutional level. From our experience, there is minimal consideration in research or practice to ensure that external review recommendations have an impact on educational planning at the institutional level. To help address this concern, in this paper we describe an approach involving secondary research and thematic document analysis that can be leveraged to enhance institutional decision-making processes by uncovering institutional themes evident across external reviews. We suggest that our approach may be helpful for other higher education institutions striving to make sense of program review recommendations from an institutional perspective.

The article emphasizes the crucial role of language proficiency as well as language sensitivity, especially within multilingual classroom environments, underlining the significance of adhering to the Common European Reference of Languages (CEFR) as a means of fostering global cohesion. It underscores the importance of aligning Ukraine' s educational strategies with international standards, particularly emphasizing the value of foreign language education. Furthermore, the paper stresses the necessity for foreign language teachers to acquire adequate didactical and methodological competencies, an awareness for language sensitivity, and intercultural understanding. It describes Austria' s successful implementation of the CEFR in language assessment, illustrating its pivotal role in standardized examinations and its broad international recognition. Specifically, the article outlines the structure of Austria' s Matura exam for foreign languages, which evaluates reading, listening, language in use, and writing, with a mandatory requirement to achieve a B2 level of CEFR proficiency. It suggests that standardized assessment formats, based on CEFR levels, mitigate stigmatization and ensure fairness in evaluation. Consequently, the paper recommends integrating the CEFR into Ukraine' s educational system to foster language proficiency and enhance language sensitivity in multilingual classrooms. It advocates training programs for language teachers on CEFR implementation and assessment, with the aim of fostering European unity through language education. The article suggests incorporating CEFR principles into Ukraine' s educational reform «New Ukrainian School», and underscores the importance of collaboration between Austrian and Ukrainian educators and researchers in achieving this goal. The field of artificial intelligence (AI) is presently having a substantial influence on the advancement of career counseling education by enabling tailored guidance and evidence-based decision-making for learners. This paper aims to provide an overview about the utilization of AI in Bangladesh's early career planning education. The utilization of AI has already been deployed in many first world country, however this is quite new to the third world country like Bangladesh. Significantly, artificial intelligence (AI) has surpassed its traditional function in professional growth and extended its reach to encompass social and emotional education. The examination of AI studies in Bangladesh requires the careful examination of several elements, such as cognitive advancement, parental engagement and oversight, and cultural heritage. This paper reveals overall all the facets of implementing AI in career planning in context of Bangladesh. Although there are several limits associated with the utilization of artificial intelligence for career assessment, it has undeniably yielded a multitude of benefits and discoveries. In the result, the two areas of data-informed making choices and career exploration are where the phenomena mentioned above are most frequently seen. Predicting student performance in the future is a crucial behavior prediction problem in education. By predicting student performance, educational experts can provide individualized instruction, optimize the allocation of resources, and develop educational strategies. If the prediction results are unreliable, it is difficult to earn the trust of educational experts. Therefore, prediction methods need to satisfy the requirement of interpretability. For this reason, the prediction model is constructed in this paper using belief rule base (BRB). BRB not only combines expert knowledge, but also has good interpretability. There are two problems in applying BRB to student performance prediction: first, in the modeling process, the system is too complex due to the large number of indicators involved. Secondly, the interpretability of the model can be compromised during the optimization process. To overcome these challenges, this paper introduces a hierarchical belief rule base with interpretability (HBRB-I) for student performance prediction. First, it analyzes how the HBRB-I model achieves interpretability. Then, an attribute grouping method is proposed to construct a hierarchical structure by reasonably organizing the indicators, so as to effectively reduce the complexity of the model. Finally, an objective function considering interpretability is designed and the projected covariance matrix adaptive evolution strategy (P-CMA-ES) optimization algorithm is improved. The aim is to ensure that the model remains interpretable after optimization. Lesson study is recognised as a cultural activity and its implementation in a context different from Japan is a complex process. Researchers' role in this process is assumed to be critical, although this has rarely been investigated. In this paper, we analyse a teaching experiment to introduce lesson study into a professional development course for prospective teachers at an Italian university, focusing our investigation on a group of researchers acting as teacher educators (didacticians). Using the anthropological theory of the didactic and meta-didactical transposition frameworks, we investigate their dual position as researchers and as teacher educators. We observe the evolution of the didacticians' teacher-education praxeology (a model of practice and knowledge) during their interactions with prospective teachers. The results indicate that the didacticians' teacher-education praxeology is distinguished, shaped, and actively influenced by their research praxeology. The results also imply that coordinating the two theoretical frameworks may guide the design and analysis of teachers' professional development courses. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the article, we focus on the stimulation of pupils' experimental activity using escape rooms. The text includes a division of escape rooms into six genres. In one of the genres, we also included the activity of the escape room created by us. By using the escape room we created, we tried to find out whether escape rooms are a suitable tool for stimulating pupils to do experimental activities in physics classes. We conducted a survey with pupils in the third year of an eight-year high school (13-14 years old). The number of pupils varied (18-19) as the survey was conducted over two weeks. We created a questionnaire consisting of seven questions. The questions were about pupil emotional engagement while doing experiments. We determined the suitability of the teaching tool for stimulating pupils using the answers to the questions from the questionnaire, which are related to the stimulation of experimental activity. We also compared the activities - Escape Room and Experiments given by a question using a comparative questionnaire. The paper in question is focused on (1) valuing the expanded and transdisciplinary approach for the definition of cultural heritage, consolidated in Brazil from the 1970s/1980s onwards, (2) and its subsequent applicability in the field of education, under the influence of a liberating pedagogy proposed by educator Paulo Freire. An important consequence of this process involves the conception of a formal education system structured to promote collectivity, equality, diversity, and educational equity, as a solution towards ensuring both the learning and development of students. (3) The paper discusses the contribution of the expanded context of cultural heritage and its relationship with the field of education in the development of pedagogical strategies that promote educational equity, through the Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), a document that parameterizes the curricula from early childhood education to high school in Brazil. From a bibliographic review, the paper presents the conjuncture on which the new look at cultural heritage has been consolidated, and the consequent redefinition of heritage education actions, and then, as a result, analyzes the approximation between this new approach and the formal educational strategies present in the BNCC, as well as the possibilities of intercommunication between both. This study evaluated students’ perceptions about providing feedback and identified their preferred feedback methods. The study design comprised quantitative and qualitative approaches to ensure a better understanding of students’ perceptions and increase the study’s validity. A structured questionnaire was distributed in five higher education institutions (HEIs) in Oman, followed by a focus group discussion (FGD). A total of 614 students responded to the questionnaire. The quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and the qualitative data were analyzed using thematic text analysis. It was observed that although students understand the importance of feedback, they feel that the methods can be improved. Furthermore, HEIs did not share the outcomes with the students, and therefore, students believed that HEIs were not considering their comments. Whilst students preferred anonymous online surveys, they believed that inperson meetings would be even more useful. This paper looked at how the educational well-being of students in Oman can be improved through the development of methods of seeking feedback from institutions. This research paper explores the awareness, perceptions, and beliefs of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students at the South East European University regarding Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences (MI) theory. Focusing on the dynamic landscape of contemporary education, the study aims to understand the extent to which students acknowledge and identify with different intelligences and the potential implications for language learning strategies and overall educational experiences. The research employs an exploratory mixed-methods approach, including a case study design, surveys, and qualitative analysis, to gather insights from bachelor's and master's-level students. Findings indicate a moderate level of familiarity with MI theory among the participants, with significant agreement on the utility of the theory in understanding learning abilities. First-year medical students are often challenged by the rapid pace and large volume of content that must be learned. Peer teaching has emerged as a supportive educational strategy. However, the most effective strategies for training peer tutors (PTs) for their role are not known. This paper examines the use of an Objective Structured Teaching Exercise (OSTE) to augment PT training sessions. Applying deliberate practice as a conceptual framework, an OSTE was used to provide tutors with an opportunity to practice their skills and receive feedback about their performance when meeting with a student presenting with a challenge. The newly trained PTs were required to assess a standardized student, determine challenge(s) being experienced, and present options to address the challenge(s). Standardized students evaluated the tutors' performance and a pre- and post-OSTE questionnaire was used to determine whether the OSTE was effective in increasing the confidence level of PTs to effectively assess and support students seeking help. Participants reported an increase in confidence in their ability to assess areas requiring improvement, understand the active learning strategies, and suggest appropriate active learning study strategies. Evaluations completed by standardized students documented that newly trained PTs accurately diagnosed the challenge presented in the OSTE and in most cases PTs asked all relevant questions to assess. Increased self-efficacy promotes PT's capacity to perform their work and feedback during an OSTE can further advance required skills. Aggregate OSTE results can also inform efforts to enhance the PT training program. NEW & NOTEWORTHY: This novel application of the Objective Structured Teaching Exercise (OSTE) was done to enhance tutors' skills as valued members of our integrated academic support program. The OSTE provided feedback to the tutors and enabled us to identify a need for enhanced tutor training in active learning strategies. Background: The social determinants of health (SDH) play a key role in the health of individuals, communities, and populations. Academic institutions and clinical licensing bodies increasingly recognize the need for healthcare professionals to understand the importance of considering the SDH to engage with patients and manage their care effectively. However, incorporating relevant skills, knowledge, and attitudes relating to the SDH into curricula must be more consistent. This scoping review explores the integration of the SDH into graduate medical education training programs. Methods: A systematic search was performed of PubMed, Ovid MEDLINE, ERIC, and Scopus databases for articles published between January 2010 and March 2023. A scoping review methodology was employed, and articles related to training in medical or surgical specialties for registrars and residents were included. Pilot programs, non-SDH-related programs, and studies published in languages other than English were excluded. Results: The initial search produced 829 articles after removing duplicates. The total number of articles included in the review was 24. Most articles were from developed countries such as the USA (22), one from Canada, and only one from a low- and middle-income country, Kenya. The most highly represented discipline was pediatrics. Five papers explored the inclusion of SDH in internal medicine training, with the remaining articles covering family medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, or a combination of disciplines. Longitudinal programs are the most effective and frequently employed educational method regarding SDH in graduate training. Most programs utilize combined teaching methods and rely on participant surveys to evaluate their curriculum. Conclusion: Applying standardized educational and evaluation strategies for SDH training programs can pose a challenge due to the diversity of the techniques reported in the literature. Exploring the most effective educational strategy in delivering these concepts and evaluating the downstream impacts on patient care, particularly in surgical and non-clinical specialties and low- and middle-income countries, can be essential in integrating and creating a sustainable healthcare force. As a well-established strategy in the educational traditions of Islam, copying texts (imitating a model) has played a crucial role in learning the Holy Quran and the Arabic language. This study delves into the necessity of understanding how this traditional strategy influences the learning of foreign languages. Using 18 hours of strategy-based instruction, this paper examines the efficacy of text copying in learning grammar (independent variable), as evidenced by a series of grammar tests and surveys assessing learners' perceptions (dependent variables). The study draws upon data from two groups of college-level English as Foreign Language (EFL) learners, comprising a control group (n=10) and an experimental group (n=11), all categorized at the A2 proficiency level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The findings suggest that text copying enhances learners' grammatical understanding and contributes to overall satisfaction in learning a foreign language, as indicated by improved test scores and positive learner feedback. This paper uses critical policy analysis to investigate how the concept of equity has been co-opted to promote a neoliberal agenda in education reforms in Manitoba. Early provincial reform documents contained a narrow definition of equity focused primarily on closing achievement gaps between Indigenous and non-Indigenous students. These reform documents were rejected by the public, in part due to concerns about equity. The Manitoba Education Action Plan was introduced in 2022, which more explicitly focused on achieving equity as part of the education reform process. However, the framing of equity in the Action Plan was narrow, emphasizing individualism rather than a more systemic pursuit of equity. While some recommended actions in the Action Plan have promoted a more inclusive and culturally responsive education system, other actions have advanced a neoliberal agenda focused on work-readiness and accountability, while actions to remove barriers to education have been undertaken with limited urgency. Problem-solving skills are an ability that must be cultivated to equip students with the skills needed to deal with today's increasingly complex and volatile environment. Computational thinking represents a new paradigm in problem-solving skills. After Wing proposed Computational Thinking as problem-solving skills in 2006, other scholars investigated this topic; nevertheless, the link between Computational Thinking and problem-solving has not been clearly discussed in previous studies. To uncover evidence for the connection between Computational Thinking and problem-solving skills, we conduct a systematic literature review of 37 papers collected from Web of Science database. The results indicate that (a) problem-solving is discussed in the 37 articles in the context of Computational Thinking, (b) the most frequently employed Computational Thinking stages in problem-solving skills are decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithm, (c) Computational Thinking is closely linked to problem-solving, and (d) Computational Thinking and problem-solving stages serve the same functions in solving problems. Research investigating teachers' knowledge and practices aimed to improve student participation, engagement and achievement in mathematics and science has often used qualitative methods involving observation and analysis of lesson videos. Some researchers have used excerpts of videos in various ways to gather data about their participants' anticipated actions in the moment. In the current study, we aimed to track primary teachers' developing adaptive expertise when teaching interdisciplinary mathematics and science lessons over a two-year period. In this paper, we describe the processes followed to design a questionnaire that used episodes from videos of interdisciplinary mathematics and science lessons to construct multiple choice items. The adaptive expertise scoring for the items was reliable but this improved when including an open-ended question for participants to explain their selection of an action for the classroom moment captured in the video episode. The Internet of Things (IoT) is an emerging paradigm, even though it does not receive enough attention in many academic plans. In order to introduce our students to IoT, in this paper we present the overall results of a seminar dedicated to encourage them to design basic IoT projects on a software application called Packet Tracer v8.2.1. Such projects were carried out in groups, whereas the evaluation process was performed by means of filling in a peer review construct after the presentation was made by each team. This construct was previously validated by a panel of five experts by applying the Aiken's V test, where an overall value of 0.907 was obtained. There were nine items within that construct, which were grouped into three dimensions, such as the quality of the prototypes presented, the communication skills during the presentations of the prototypes, and the alignment of the prototypes with SDGs. The average results obtained for all dimensions were all above 8 out of 10, whilst the medians were all 9 and the coefficient of variations were around 0.2. Those results showed high ratings with moderate variation among them. Furthermore, the reliability of the data collected in the evaluation process was assessed by applying the Cronbach's alpha, accounting for values above 0.9 for each dimension and overall, which means an excellent internal consistency of such data. Likewise, the level of engagement during the activity was also measured by the means of the ISA engagement scale, resulting in an overall value around 6.5, with a median of 7, which proved a high engagement among students. Background: University students are anxiety prone. Due to their changing their social roles, the proportion of university students with anxiety is relatively high. In this study, using the simple random sampling, we surveyed 53 university students, including sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Aims: This paper examines the relationship between art creation and anxiety. Methods: This study uses the Self-Assessment Anxiety Scale (SAS). The test form measures the presence and extent of their anxiety problems through a series of questions. We tested the effects of an art creation process on SAS scores and suggest best practices for course settings and teaching methods for art-related subjects. Results: Art therapy intervention reduced anxiety. The most effective technique was found to be slapping the clay board during the creation process. Other actions relieved anxiety as well. Results suggest that the art creation process is an application of art therapy effective in relieving anxiety in university students. Conclusion: Key actions in the process of creating art are closely related to the treatment approaches used in art therapy interventions. This has the potential to not only improve mental health, but also to promote the health and well-being of students. Implications for future research: Rapid societal changes increasing competition for employment creates work and life pressures. University students face challenges with learning, peer competition, and employment, often resulting in anxiety. A diversified curriculum can alleviate anxiety through proper curricular planning and design. Based on this, the university’s arts courses should be able to study how to improve and optimize the existing teaching and learning outcomes and can be integrated with the university’s general education curriculum planning. Through appropriate teaching content and learning methods, the courses of university general education can play a role in reducing students’ anxiety and promote physical and mental health, thus contributing to sustainable development of the society. Additive manufacturing has been widely used in various industries, including the healthcare sector. Over the last few decades, AM has been playing an important role in the medical field in different areas, including surgical planning, implants, and educational activities. For surgical applications, AM can help surgeons practice and plan an operation until they are confident with the process. This can help to reduce operational risk and time. In addition, it can help to demonstrate the problem to other colleagues. AM has also been used to produce 3D models to teach students and doctors about human anatomy. This article provides a comparative analysis of international education strategies employed by the United States and the Soviet Union during the Cold War. It explores how both superpowers sought to disseminate their ideologies globally, leading to direct competition. Both nations implemented educational exchange programs and aimed to establish or reform educational systems abroad. Discussion over the years regarding the quality of newly graduated engineers in Brazil has concluded that there are gaps between learning and market expectations. Analyzing the current scenario, the Ministry of Education (MEC) has approved new national curriculum guidelines that emphasize skills development and the adoption of active methodologies. The aim is to develop students as protagonists of their own learning. One of these methodologies is game-based learning (GBL), which utilizes games for educational purposes to integrate theory and practice. GBL simulates reality and presents concepts in a playful way, resulting in greater student engagement and interest. However, research shows that a lack of knowledge and difficulty accessing such games are barriers to implementing this methodology. Previous research has focused on the development of serious game metadata (SGM), the establishment of controlled vocabularies, and the identification of educational games targeting production engineering (PE). The authors of the present paper developed a database focused on the disciplines and content covered in production engineering courses. The paper describes the database and its aims to: (a) increase the use of games in the teaching-learning process; (b) make the process more effective; and (c) prepare better professionals. The introduction of ICT into education in educational settings has become increasingly common. Among these, the research and development of educational support robots have attracted attention. Conventional robots provide academic support through button operation by the learner. However, it has been reported that excessive requests for academic support can be problematic in environments in which learners can freely request academic support. To solve this problem, we developed a perplexion estimation method that estimates the state of perplexion from the learner's facial expression. When educational support is provided using the proposed method, the robot can autonomously provide academic support. Simulation experiments demonstrated that the perplexion estimation method has the potential to accurately estimate the learner's state. However, there is still no dedicated model for educational support robots that utilizes the perplexion estimation method. Therefore, this paper proposes an apprenticeship promotion model that integrates a learning support method based on cognitive apprenticeship theory and our perplexion estimation method. We then verified the learning effects of the robot equipped with the proposed model on the learner through participant experiments. The experimental results suggest that the robot equipped with the proposed model not only provides the same learning effect to university students as a conventional robot, but also can autonomously provide academic support at the optimal timing. Purpose and problems: The purpose of this article is to investigate some challenges for working teachers and to present selected issues that are not always known and understood, but which concern one of the key problems of education: the profession of teaching. Research methods: In this article, the "teacher" aspect is examined in a comparative context: from the perspective of social, economic and political conditions. For this purpose, methods of comparative analysis relating to a number of indicators and information from an international perspective are used (based on a critical choice of data from different studies). This helps clarify some relationships that can be found. Structure of the article: The article consists of three parts. The first part focusses on inclusive education (here limited mainly to the inclusion of culturally and linguistically diverse students). The second addresses the financing of education and the work of the teacher (with a focus on student performance against this background), whilst the third part covers issues such as digital transformation and scientific capital. Research findings and their impact on the development of educational sciences: The information and theses presented herein allow one to look at the teaching profession in a way that is less pedagogical and more political or social. Results/recommendations: Firstly, the paper shows that many teachers are not well-prepared to teach students from different ethnic backgrounds, speaking foreign languages etc. A second, somewhat more widely discussed point is that teachers generally earn less than workers with similar education. Furthermore, in some cases, it is not always more funding for education or higher salaries for teachers that result in better student performance. The public education policy of an individual country determines, among other things, the ways of documenting the educational process and children's outcomes. This paper explores the opinion of preschool teachers about documenting children's development. The sample included preschool teachers from two systems, or two different curricular approaches. One exists in the Republic of Croatia (curriculum based on the competence framework) and other in Bosnia and Herzegovina (curriculum based on normative outcomes). The measuring instrument Questionnaire of Preschool Teachers' Opinions on Monitoring the Psycho-physical Status of Children (a= .847), was constructed for research purposes. The Questionnaire was based on relevant literature and insights into existing educational practices. On a dichotomously structured 4-level scale, preschool teachers estimated that the most important purpose of documenting children's development is the planning of developmental incentives (M=3.63; SD= 0.495). They agree that monitoring should be continuous throughout the entire academic year (M=3.53; SD= 0.666). Likewise, preschool teachers are less inclined to one-time assessments of a children's psycho-physical status, considering "a testing" unlikely to provide a realistic image of their development (M=1.88; SD=0.797). No correlation was found between preschool teachers' age, length of service, and level of education. Using the t-test of independent samples, a mild/weak, but statistically significant difference in the preschool teachers' assessment between the subsamples was determined. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Because intercultural communication has become one of the most demanded skills in the current digitalized world, many educational institutions aspire to graduate students who possess intercultural skills and are able to successfully communicate with people from diverse cultures. However, intercultural communication has not received much attention in the Lebanese context, especially in schools. To this end, this paper examined the Lebanese high school directors' perceptions of intercultural communication. As pragmatists, the researchers employed quantitative and qualitative methods to better understand the problem under investigation. Using a snowball sampling, they surveyed the perceptions of 55 Lebanese director.s in private and public high schools and interviewed two informants in the Center for Educational Research and Development. The collected data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Then, the derived conclusions were compared to ensure trust worthiness of the findings. Major findings showed that though intercultural communication is a learning outcome in most schools, it is mostly taught at the knowledge level in the foreign language classrooms. Assessment of this outcome was neither systematic nor consistent. It was also shown that directors in private schools tended to be more informed than those in the public sector. Within the European Commission's Digital Education Action Plan (2021–2027) and the DigCompEdu framework, our research focuses on the competence area of teachers' assessment practices and needs. We designed a 24-item online questionnaire for Romanian higher education teachers who are using digital technologies for assessing students' learning, learning outcomes and practical skills. The present paper analyzes how the 60 respondents from Romanian universities evaluate their own digital competence and how they are using digital assessment, but also what training needs they have in these regards. This study, carried out in May–June 2022, therefore attempts to identify the main concerns, challenges and obstacles higher education teachers encounter when designing and using digital assessment. Our findings indicate the importance of empowering teachers through continuous learning, embracing flexible hybrid models and reimagining assessment strategies for digital literacy. The ANOVA analysis reveals variations among three groups categorized by self-reported digital competencies in their utilization of digital tools. Responsible knowledge-sharing, AI literacy and adaptive curriculum design emerged as critical imperatives. Our study advocates for a transformative shift towards AI-based pedagogy, emphasizing personalized learning that aligns with teachers' competencies and specific assessment needs while adhering to fundamental teaching principles. In this paper, we explore the idea that categorizing students according to their early academic results can effectively prevent academic failure and enhance success in schools. Our objective is to offer appropriate educational strategies, learning methods, and resources. We introduce a method designed to improve student learning experiences and increase their high school success. For validation, we gathered a dataset from the School Life Management Software, containing data on the personal information and academic performance of 840 students from 2018 to 2021. Using this data, we developed a predictive model. We then compared the academic outcomes forecasted by our model with the actual results of the students for the 2021-2022 academic year. This comparison showed that our model can accurately predict early student academic performance and outcomes. Integrating our predictive model with a student classification system allows us to suggest effective strategies for enhancing student performance and avoiding academic failure, thereby improving the overall academic experience. In addition to the predictive model, we have developed a mobile application that operationalizes our findings. This application serves as a tool for students and educators, utilizing the predictive model to provide real-time academic performance forecasts. ChatGPT's remarkable ability to produce academic texts has generated significant interest in educational and academic circles. This study provides a specific overview of ChatGPT's current usage and explores its potential applications, limitations, and implications in English academic writing for EFL students, who often face challenges in language proficiency, content organization, and critical thinking. Using a mixed-methods research approach, this study employed a CSE-based questionnaire and focus group interviews to investigate how ChatGPT can empower academic writing strategies (WS) and how respondents perceive its assistance. Data was collected from 60 Chinese university juniors majoring in English. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis, while qualitative data underwent thematic analysis. Findings indicate that ChatGPT can help students apply academic WS more effectively by comprehending research trends, generating writing outlines, enriching writing content, synthesizing literature, and refining papers. However, issues such as potential plagiarism, inaccurate output, improper citations, and the digital gap between users and non-users must be addressed. The study suggests that while ChatGPT-empowered writing can better equip academic WS in planning, composing, and revising, respectively, it is crucial to scrutinize the quality of AI-generated texts. Further research will be urgently expected regarding ChatGPT's long-term impact on academic integrity, the development of educational policies for ethical AI use, and the integration of ChatGPT into pedagogical approaches to enhance EFL students' writing and critical thinking. The United Nations established the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015 to address issues like gender equality, clean water, health, education, and hunger by 2030. Of the 17 SDGs, health and education have an outsized impact on countries’ socioeconomic development, so providing insights into progress on these two goals is crucial. Machine learning can help solve many real-world problems, including working towards the SDGs. This paper proposes using a metaheuristic ensemble of Cat Swarm Optimization algorithms with Feed Forward Extreme Learning Machines, called Sustainable Health And Educational Goal Development (SHEGD) Prediction, to effectively contribute to countries’ economic growth by achieving health and education SDGs through machine learning. The model is assessed using UN SDG datasets and performance metrics like accuracy, precision, recall, specificity, and F1-score. Comparisons to other machine learning models demonstrate this model’s superiority in designing a recommendation system for progressing towards the health and education SDGs. Knowledge-based recommender systems have always had their privileged place among all Decision Support Systems (DSS), given their advantage on several points over other techniques. Our paper presents a framework implementing a hybrid form of Rule-Based Reasoning and Case-Based Reasoning (RBR-CBR), to address the rarely discussed domain of educational planning. The system has been tested and presented outstanding results with a high accuracy, which will benefit educational planners' decision support. In this paper I share stories about beautifully complex and novel pathways for learners on the margins within my under-resourced Grade 2 community school classroom. I challenged practices of schooling that produced static understanding of children, and ones in which they were compared to the average, by embracing kairos moments. Kairos moments are distinct spaces full of potential that ebb and flow in unexpected ways and may lead to unanticipated outcomes. Inspired by new materialist scholarship, I worked at the intersection of theory and practice to go beyond common inclusive and self-regulatory educational strategies, to focus on the complex relationships involving children and their material contexts. With the continuous advancement of educational technology, interactive mobile and adaptive learning platforms are playing an increasingly important role in the field of education. This is particularly evident in the development of educational design skills among education students, as these platforms showcase their unique value. Educational design capability is a crucial skill for education students, directly related to the quality of designing and implementing future teaching activities. Traditional methods of education often fail to fully consider individual student differences, resulting in inadequate cultivation of personalized capabilities. This study aims to explore and achieve precise cultivation of educational design capabilities in education students through interactive, mobile, and adaptive learning platforms. This paper first reviews the current application of interactive mobile and adaptive learning platforms to cultivate educational design capabilities. It highlights deficiencies in existing research methods related to personalized matching and recommendation system design. To address these deficiencies, this study proposes a new set of adaptive matching methods. These methods include capability characteristic recognition based on competitive advantage thinking, the construction of individual strength models, as well as matching calculation, and decision-making scheme optimization using the projection decision method and the Hungarian method. Additionally, the study designs a learning project recommendation algorithm based on explicit ratings to enhance the accuracy and personalization of learning project recommendations. The application of these methods not only enhances the educational design capabilities of education students but also provides new theoretical support and practical guidance for the development of interactive, mobile, and adaptive learning platforms. The purpose of this research is to analyze the acquisition of teachers' digital competencies through the use of virtual environments and information and communication technologies to improve the teaching-learning process. A systematic review was conducted through the search and compilation of empirical studies over five years (2019 to 2023), in the specialized databases: Scopus, Redalyc, SciELO, and the academic search engine Google Scholar. Based on the PRISMA statement, and through inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of fourteen research papers were selected. After examining them, it was possible to identify how digital literacy through the use of virtual learning environments influences the development of teaching work and performance and consequently also contributes to student learning. Among the digital skills most used by teachers that have allowed innovation and improvement of the teaching process are mainly the management of information and mastery of digital tools for the creation and management of educational resources. Women's enrollment in colleges in developing countries is staggeringly low. Due to cultural norms and safety concerns, women may not be allowed to enroll. Alternatively, local colleges might be in short supply. Using the variation in college construction in India under a college construction grant policy, we assess whether increased access to colleges in home districts improves human capital outcomes for women. We find an improvement in educational and other development outcomes. The educational gains accruing to women are twice as large as for men. A key feature of contemporary times is the high degree of complexity that impacts all spheres and aspects of today's society, particularly within education. This complexity, deriving from a postdigital world in a polycrisis, causes continuous eventualities and results in these conditions of uncertainty. This contribution reviews the present literature on the issues of the unexpected and uncertainty. From the 13 articles included in the review, an attempt is made to define the terms "uncertainty" and "unexpected" in order to scan the management strategies proposed by various authors in diverse fields, highlighting the correlation between uncertainty, the unexpected, and anxiety. Although this review revealed a lack of a universal definition of the "unexpected" and "uncertainty", the analysis seems to have revealed some common and essential features in various articles and perspectives on the topic. Suggestions drawn from the analysis prove particularly useful in investigating the implications that uncertainty and the unexpected have in education, especially in training future teachers.
