In this paper, a new three-dimensional network coordination polymer {[Co(TPTC)(HBPDPE)2·2H2O]·3H2O}n [[[(1:1′:4′,1″-terphenyl)-3,3″,5,5″-tetracarboxylic cobalt (II)] dipyridine dihydrate] trihydrate] (Complex 1) was generated under solvothermal synthesis by rigid conjugated ligand H4TPTC ([1:1′:4′,1″-terphengl]-3,3″,5,5″-tetracarboxylic), V-shaped BPDPE (4,4′-bis (pyridyl) diphenyl ether) and Co(II) ion. In complex 1, the neighboring Co(II) ions are linked by deprotonated TPTC4- to achieve a 1D zigzag chain [Co(TPTC)(HBPDPE)2]n, then the adjacent [Co(TPTC)(HBPDPE)2]n chains linked each other by various H-bondings to extend the structure from 1D chain to 3D network. Complex 1 has excellent fluorescence sensing performance and exhibits high sensitivity and selectivity for detecting 2,4,6-trinitrophenol (TNP), the quenching constant Ksv is up to 2.08 × 105 M−1 along with the correlation coefficient R2 of 0.993. Furthermore, the quench mechanisms of this Co-MOF as a sensor to detect nitro- aromatic explosives were studied as well. • Four new d10 piperazine-bridged-amide-based coordination polymers were structurally directed by metal and carboxylate. • The title complexes can be acted as fluorescent sensors for nitrophenol and nitroaniline with low LOD, high K sv , good anti-interference and recyclable characteristics. • The feasibility of actual sample detection was verified by tap water, river water and wastewater samples. • The visual detection cloth and test paper were also prepared by solid phase deposition method and displayed good practical applicability. Four piperazine-amide-bridged d10 metal-organic coordination polymers, namely, [Zn(L) 0.5 (1,3-BDC)∙H 2 O]∙H 2 O (1), [Cd(L)(1,3-BDC)] (2), [Zn(L) 0.5 (5-MIP) ∙H 2 O]·H 2 O (3), [Cd(L)(5-MIP)] (4) were synthesized by the L ligand [N, N'-bis[(3-pyridin)acrylophenone] piperazine (L)] and two carboxylic acids with Zn/Cd(II) chloride under hydrothermal conditions. The title complexes were characterized by IR spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 is a 1D ladder-like structure. Complex 2 is a 3D NaCl type framework. Complexes 3 and 4 are 63 and 44 connected 2D structures. The different structural details of the title complexes directed by caroxylates and the central metals were compared. The complexes 1 – 4 can be used as excellent fluorescent sensors toward nitrophenol (NOP) and nitroaniline (NA) with a low limit of detection and a high quenching constant, and have good anti-interference and recyclable characteristics. The feasibility of actual sample detection was verified by tap water, river water and wastewater samples. Taking complex 3 as an example, the mechanism was also explored by fluorescence lifetime experiment and the UV-visible absorption spectroscopy. The 3 -modified visual detection cloth and test paper were also prepared by solid phase deposition method. Four new piperazine-amide-bridged metal-organic coordination polymers were obtained and used as fluorescent sensors for the detection of nitrophenol and nitroaniline in tap water, river water and wastewater environments. The sensors shows good recyclability, stability and low detection limit. To search for more high-performance crystalline proton conducting materials and to accelerate the related research progress, in this paper, a one-dimensional coordination polymer (CP), [Co(BBOT) 2 (H 2 O) 3 ·2H 2 O] n (1) (H 2 BBOT = N-benzoyl-N′-(4-benzoxy)thiourea) was firstly prepared by solvent volatilization approach. Subsequently, the thermal, H 2 O and chemical stabilities of the CP were tested and its high structural stability was confirmed. Furthermore, in 1 , a stable solid three-dimensional framework can be constructed by intermolecular H-bonds and stacking interactions between phenyl units. Then, utilizing the AC impedance determination, the dependence of the proton conductivity of this CP on temperature and humidity in the water vapor environment was explored and the positive correlation was verified. Excitingly, the optimized proton conductivity of this compound under specific test conditions (100 °C/98 % relative humidity) can be as high as 10−4 S/cm, being in the forefront of similar crystalline solid materials. Finally, according to the value of activation energy and the characteristics of crystal structure, we speculate on the proton conduction mechanism. Proton conductivity of a CP under variable humidity and temperatures was explored. Its highest proton conductivity can attain up to 10−4 S/cm, and its proton-conduction mechanism was speculated. • A three-dimensional crystal synthesized by carboxylic acid ligand and nitrogen-containing ligand. • The selective detection for Fe3+, Cr6+ and nitroimidazole antibiotics species in aqueous solution were investigated. • The quenching mechanism of the selective detection including theoretical calculation was presented. A novel complex of [Zn(L)(HEA)] n (1) has been successfully synthesized by hydrothermal method based on the double ligands of H 2 HEA (H 2 HEA = 1,2-Phenylenediacetic acid) and L (L = 1,1′-((2,4,6-trimethyl-1,3-phenylene)bis(methylene))bis(1H-1,2,4-triazole)). The single crystal structure of the complex was analyzed by X-ray single crystal diffraction, indicating that complex 1 was stacked into a 3D crystal structure through intermolecular π···π and C-H···π weak interaction. The complex was characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy, PXRD and TGA. Additionally, fluorescence experiments showed that complex 1 could be used as a fluorescent probe for detecting Fe(III), Cr(VI), and Metronidazole (MDZ), Ornidazole (ODZ), Dimetridazole (DTZ) in aqueous solutions. Detection limits were obtained for ions (3.2×10−7 M for Cr 2 O 7 2−, 5.4×10−7 M for CrO 4 2− and 3.6 × 10−7 M for Fe3+) and nitroimidazole antibiotics (1.3×10−7 M for MDZ, 9.7×10−8 M for ODZ and 4.4×10−8 M for DTZ). The possible fluorescence quenching mechanism has been studied in the paper. One novel complex, namely, [Zn(L)(HEA)] n (1) (L = 1,1′-((2,4,6-trimethyl-1,3-phenylene)bis(methylene))bis(1H-1,2,4-triazole), H 2 HEA = 1,2-phenylenediacetic acid) was synthesized. The oxygen-containing chain in complex 1 extends in a zigzag shape along the a -axis, while the nitrogen-containing chain extends in a W-shape along the b -axis, a 2D planar structure was obtained in the ab plane. Through the formation of π···π (Cg (2)···Cg (2)) and C-H ··π (C5-H5···Cg2) interactions between the 2D layers, the 3D supermolecule structure of 1 was formed along the c -axis.
