The aim of this study is to provide an Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) based solution to enhance biological treatment efficiency by improving biodegradability of wastewater. Photo-Fenton and Peroxydisulfate (PDS)/UV processes were selected in this study as a representative of hydroxyl and sulfate radical based AOPs. A central composition design (CCD) employed to optimize operational cost and BOD/COD ratio to determine optimal conditions for enhancing wastewater treatment efficiency. The study achieved a maximum COD removal of 71.5 % and increased wastewater biodegradability. Optimal conditions for Photo-Fenton process were DOD (H 2 O 2) 0.28, [Fe2+] 106.26 mg/L, and pH 2.32, costing 2.27 USD per 1 kg COD removed. For PDS/UV process, 75.5 % COD removal was achieved at a cost of 10.6 USD/1 kg removed COD. The PDS/UV process had higher COD removal than Photo-Fenton but did not improve wastewater biodegradability. Optimal conditions were DOD (PDS) 0.19, pH 6.68, costing 10.6 USD/1 kg COD removed. Owing to increasing competition, the marketing of commercial software products is a challenging task. Diverse marketing strategies are adopted to tap the huge market share. Among these, pricing and warranty are the most significant ones. The warranty policies organizations adopt usually have two dimensions: duration and effort spent during the warranty phase. In this paper, two variables are broadly taken: testing, which is an essential phase during software development, and warranty, which is a crucial component of after‐sales service. Here, we will formulate an optimization problem where returns and expenses will be influenced by price, testing resources spent, the duration for which testing is done, warranty duration and effort spent during warranty for the software product. The product sales are assumed to follow a Stochastic Bass model based on Non‐Homogeneous Poisson Process (NHPP). A free on‐site support warranty with an upper limit on duration and effort covers the 2D failure process. The numerical illustration is presented wherein profit is maximized by conjointly optimizing five variables, that is price, testing duration, testing effort, warranty duration and warranty effort. This study emphasizes on application of a popular soft computing, metaheuristic technique named genetic algorithm (GA) to solve an optimization problem for a software system. The solution to the Optimization problem is obtained using the GA tool in MATLAB. The results obtained have relevance in the industry for finding optimal values of significant variables before the release of newly developed software products to the ultimate client. A Virtual Power Plant (VPP) is a centralized energy system that manages, and coordinates distributed energy resources, integrating them into a unified entity. While the physical assets may be dispersed across various locations, the VPP integrates them into a virtual unified entity capable of responding to grid demands and market signals. This paper presents a tri-level hierarchical coordinated operational framework of VPP. Firstly, an Improved Pelican Optimization Algorithm (IPOA) is introduced to optimally schedule Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) within the VPP, resulting in a significant reduction in generation costs. Comparative analysis against conventional algorithms such as Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) demonstrates IPOA's superior performance, achieving an average reduction of 8.5% in generation costs across various case studies. The second stage focuses on securing the optimized generation data from rising cyber threats, employing the capabilities of machine learning, preferably, a convolutional autoencoder to learn the normal patterns of the optimized data to detect deviations from the optimized generation data to prevent suboptimal decisions. The model exhibits exceptional performance in detecting manipulated data, with a False Positive Rate (FPR) of 1.92% and a Detection Accuracy (DA) of 98.06%, outperforming traditional detection techniques. Lastly, the paper delves into the dynamic nature of the day ahead market that the VPP participates in. In responding to the grid by selling its optimized generated power via the day-ahead market, the VPP employs the Prophet model, another machine learning technique to forecast the spot market price for the day-ahead to mitigate the adverse effects of price volatility. By utilizing Prophet forecasts, the VPP achieves an average revenue increase of 15.3% compared to scenarios without price prediction, emphasizing the critical role of predictive analytics in optimizing economic gains. This tri-level coordinated approach adopted addresses key challenges in the energy sector, facilitating progress towards achieving universal access to clean and affordable energy. Background: Transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) generates an electric field (or current density) in the brain through surface electrodes attached to the scalp. Clinical significance has been demonstrated, although with moderate and heterogeneous results partly due to a lack of control of the delivered electric currents. In the last decade, computational electric field analysis has allowed the estimation and optimization of the electric field using accurate anatomical head models. This review examines recent tES computational studies, providing a comprehensive background on the technical aspects of adopting computational electric field analysis as a standardized procedure in medical applications. Methods: Specific search strategies were designed to retrieve papers from the Web of Science database. The papers were initially screened based on the soundness of the title and abstract and then on their full contents, resulting in a total of 57 studies. Results: Recent trends were identified in individual- and population-level analysis of the electric field, including head models from non-neurotypical individuals. Advanced optimization techniques that allow a high degree of control with the required focality and direction of the electric field were also summarized. There is also growing evidence of a correlation between the computationally estimated electric field and the observed responses in real experiments. Conclusions: Computational pipelines and optimization algorithms have reached a degree of maturity that provides a rationale to improve tES experimental design and a posteriori analysis of the responses for supporting clinical studies. Comet Interceptor (Comet-I) was selected in June 2019 as the first ESA F-Class mission and aims to explore a pristine comet, which will visit the inner Solar System for the first time. Comet-I will hitch a ride to a Sun-Earth L2 quasi-halo orbit, as a co-passenger in ESA's M4 ARIEL's launch. At the time of writing, this is scheduled for 2029. It will then remain there awaiting the right departure conditions to leave definitively and intercept a newly discovered comet. Comet-I will be the first mission to be designed and launched without an already identified target. Given the latter, the Comet-I Target Identification Working Group is tasked with the continuous follow-up of newly discovered comets, to analyse their characteristics as virtual targets for Comet-I. The goal of the paper is to inform the decision-making process that will eventually be necessary to commit Comet-I spacecraft to its final target. Within this context, this paper presents a trajectory optimization process based on Primer Vector theory that considers intercept trajectories with multiple revolutions and multiple deep space manoeuvres (DSM). The process is applied to 21 long period comets, which were discovered since July 1, 2020 and whose characteristics are of interest for the Comet-I mission. In fact, one of the latest of these recently discovered comets, C/2023H2, is the most accessible virtual target discovered at the time of writing, with delta-V intercept costs well within Comet-I capabilities. A complete launch window analysis is thus presented for C/2023H2, which accounts not only for the most optimal delta-V intercept transfer, but also considers all launch options that satisfy all Comet-I's current boundary conditions and flyby constraints. A systematic launch window analysis is made possible by a grid search approach on which departure and fly-by dates are fixed and the remaining design variables, including the times for manoeuvres and their Δ v impulse vector, are optimized via Primer Vector theory. This allows to understand the latest possible departure date, but also the sensitivity to departure and arrival dates of key encounter characteristics such as relative fly-by speed, the solar aspect angle and the Earth distance. • A Primer Vector Theory-based trajectory optimization tool is shown, tailored for ESA's Comet Interceptor (Comet-I). • The method supports trajectories with multiple revolutions around the Sun and multiple impulses. • The method allows rapid grid search over the search space, finding the lowest cost trajectory and other notable solutions. • A novel analysis of the launch window is presented, contributing to the decision-making process of Comet-I. • A multi-manoeuvre strategy benefits Comet-I's trajectory design, lowering the delta-V cost and improving mission flexibility. Growing concerns about seismic events enforced structural engineers and architects to embrace the hazardous effect of ground motion in design. To address this, researchers have developed various base isolation (BI) techniques. This study comprehensively reviews BI system types, techniques, and implementation. Exploring the dynamic response of three-dimensional BI devices and the mutual effects of isolation devices and soil-structure interaction during strong ground motion, the paper covers topics such as seismic isolation of nuclear power plants, cost analysis, and various optimization techniques. Furthermore, the paper investigates the behavior of isolation devices in beyond-design events, including blast and aircraft impact loading. In general, the seismic isolation and control device response is demonstrated through shaking table tests and computational analysis. The study sheds light on the functions of seismic isolation system by comparing them with fixed base structures. Additionally, the paper presents codal recommendations, recent advancements, and current practices, aligning them with historical developments and past reviews of different BI techniques, along with their advantages and disadvantages. This paper combines artificial intelligence deep learning technology to optimize the wine making process of mango wine. Moreover, in view of the shortcomings of traditional electronic nose data processing methods, a deep learning method based on SSAE‐BPNN is proposed for electronic nose data processing. In addition, according to the characteristics of automatic learning features, this paper uses a deep learning method based on SSAE‐BPNN to simplify the process of traditional data processing methods. Finally, this paper constructs an electronic nose system that can be used to identify mango wine making characteristics, and enhances the effect of electronic nose recognition through deep learning. Through the analysis, it can be seen that the mango wine making process optimization method based on artificial intelligence deep learning technology proposed in this paper has a certain effect, and it has optimized the traditional mango wine making process. Despite their widespread applications in sectors such as pulp and paper, textile, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and biofuel production, laccases encounter challenges related to their activity and stability under varying reaction conditions. This review accumulates data on the complex interplay between laccase characteristics and reaction conditions for maximizing their efficacy in diverse biotechnological processes. Benefits of organic media such as improved substrate selectivity and reaction control, and their risks such as enzyme denaturation and reduced activity are reported. Additionally, the effect of reaction conditions such as pH and temperature on laccase activity and stability are gathered and reported. Sources like Bacillus pumilus, Alcaligenes faecalis, Bacillus clausii, and Bacillus tequilensis SN4 are producing laccases that are both thermo-active and alkali-active. Additionally, changes induced by the presence of various substances within reaction media such as metals, inhibitors, and organic solvents are also reported. Bacillus pumilus and Bacillus licheniformis LS04 produce the most resistant laccases in this case. This paper investigates the performance of a two-stage multi-criteria decision-making procedure for order scheduling problems. These problems are represented by a novel nonlinear mixed integer program. Hybridizations of three Multi-Objective Evolutionary Algorithms (MOEAs) based on dominance relations are studied and compared to solve small, medium, and large instances of the joint order batching and picking problem in storage systems with multiple blocks of two and three dimensions. The performance of these methods is compared using a set of well-known metrics and running an extensive battery of simulations based on a methodology widely used in the literature. The main contributions of this paper are (1) the hybridization of MOEAs to deal efficiently with the combination of orders in one or several picking tours, scheduling them for each picker, and (2) a multi-criteria approach to scheduling multiple picking teams for each wave of orders. Based on the experimental results obtained, it can be stated that, in environments with a large number of different items and orders with high variability in volume, the proposed approach can significantly reduce operating costs while allowing the decision-maker to anticipate the positioning of orders in the dispatch area. Improving the control performance of dynamic vibration absorbers has recently been effective by introducing a grounded negative stiffness device. However, the negative stiffness structure is unstable and difficult to achieve in engineering practice , and its major drawback is that it amplif ies the vibration response of the primary system at low frequency region. Meanwhile, some mechanical devices can be combined to make the DVA work even better with a grounded positive stiffness. For this purpose, this paper combines for the first time the control effect of the inerter device and grounded positive stiffness into a three-element DVA model in order to better improve vibration reduction of an undamped primary system under excitation. First, the dynamic equation of motion of the system is written according to Newton 's second law. Then, the steady-state displacement response of the primary system under harmonic excitation is calculated. In order to minimize the resonant response of the primary system around its natural frequency, the extended fixed point theory is applied. Thus, the optimized parameters such as the tuning frequency ratio, the stiffness ratio , and the approximate damping ratio are determined as a function of mass ratio and inerter – mass ratio. From the results analysis, it was found that the inerter – mass ratio has a better working range to guarantee the stability of the coupled system. Then , study on the effect of inerter – mass ratio on the primary system response is carried out. It can be seen that increasing the inerter – mass ratio in the optimal working range can reduce the response of the primary system beyond its uncontrolled static response. However, it is necessary to avoid the situation where the inerter – mass ratio is very large because it can lead to unrealistic optimal parameters. Finally, comparison with other DVA models is show n under harmonic and random excitation of the primary system. Metal additive manufacturing is an active field of innovation. However, for laser power bed fusion (LPBF), supports removal is a major constraint. In this technology, supports are strongly welded to the part to tightly maintain it, avoid distortion, and evacuate thermal load. Although supports are usually optimized for manual removal, machining is often necessary, which can affect post-processing productivity. This paper proposes a comprehensive methodological approach to optimize the selection of cutting parameters, cutting tools, and support structure for LPBF. The aim is to help additive manufacturers find supports that reduce machining costs in terms of time and cutting tool degradation, from among the numerous support designs available. This approach can also optimize the design of lattice structures used inside parts. Our results show that among the 11 designs tested, honeycomb and squared pattern grid supports are the most efficiently machined using the 8-teeth tangential milling of the 3 tools tested, with a good post-machined surface roughness and tools' health. The method considers low magnification optical analysis and an accelerometer sensor, which is easy to use even for small- and medium-sized enterprises. Ever-increasing penetration of distributed energy resources (DERs) in the power grids, alongside their numerous benefits, brings new challenges that call for enhanced solutions in the field of control and management of power grids. The majority of the available research have considered either distribution or transmission grids in their studies. In this paper, a comprehensive review of the effects of DERs on the distribution and transmission grids is performed. The focus of this paper is on hierarchical management methods in order to categorize different approaches and highlight the gaps. Moreover, a review is conducted in the field of the newly introduced distributed energy resources management system (DERMS) concept. A DERMS can facilitate the hierarchical energy management procedure due to its functionalities and broad capabilities. Hence, its implementation in energy management and its impact on the power grid will be assessed with the aid of a co-simulation platform that considers both transmission and distribution grids. This paper presents the results of studies on the transformation of geraniol (GA) in the presence of the natural mineral bentonite. The paper determines the influence of temperature, catalyst content, and reaction time on the course of the process. In order to determine the most favorable process conditions, the catalytic tests were carried out without solvent and under atmospheric pressure. Three functions were chosen to determine the most favorable process conditions: GA conversion and the selectivities of the main products: linalool – LO and beta-pinene – BP. In addition, the paper optimize GA transformation process based on response surface methodology (RSM). The impact of the most relevant process indicators was presented. For all factors of the method, their effects on all primary parameters were determined in the form of second-degree polynomials, and such process conditions were determined to achieve their maximum. Reanalysis datasets provide a reliable reanalysis of climate input data for hydrological models in regions characterized by limited weather station coverage. In this paper, the accuracy of precipitation, the maximum and minimum temperatures of four reanalysis datasets, the China Meteorological Assimilation Driving Datasets for the SWAT model (CMADS), time-expanded climate forecast system reanalysis (CFSR+), the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecast Reanalysis (ERA). and the China Meteorological Forcing Dataset (CMFD), were evaluated by using data from 28 ground-based observations (OBs) in the Source of the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers (SYYR) region and were used as input data for the SWAT model for runoff simulation and performance evaluation, respectively. And, finally, the CMADS was optimized using Integrated Calibrated Multi-Satellite Retrievals for Global Precipitation Measurement (AIMERG) data. The results show that CMFD is the most representative reanalysis data for precipitation characteristics in the SYYR region among the four reanalysis datasets evaluated in this paper, followed by ERA5 and CFSR, while CMADS performs satisfactorily for temperature simulations in this region, but underestimates precipitation. And we contend that the accuracy of runoff simulations is notably contingent upon the precision of daily precipitation within the reanalysis dataset. The runoff simulations in this region do not effectively capture the extreme runoff characteristics of the Yellow River and Yangtze River sources. The refinement of CMADS through the integration of AIMERG satellite precipitation data emerges as a potent strategy for enhancing the precision of runoff simulations. This research can provide a reference for selecting meteorological data products and optimization methods for hydrological process simulation in areas with few meteorological stations. In recent years, there has been an increasing need to understand the complex interdependencies between critical infrastructure systems, for example, electric power, natural gas, and potable water. Whereas open-source and commercial tools for the independent simulation of these systems are well established, frameworks for cosimulation with other systems are nascent and tools for co-optimization are scarce—the major challenge being the hidden combinatorics that arise when connecting multiple-infrastructure system models. Building toward a comprehensive solution for modeling interdependent infrastructure systems, this work presents InfrastructureModels, an extensible, open-source mathematical programming framework for co-optimizing multiple interdependent infrastructures. This work provides new insights into methods and programming abstractions that make state-of-the-art independent infrastructure models composable with minimal additional effort. To that end, this paper presents the design of the InfrastructureModels framework, documents key components of the software's implementation, and demonstrates its effectiveness with three case studies on canonical co-optimization tasks arising in interdependent infrastructure systems. Thedistribution of products stands out as one of the pivotal activities for logistics companies in recent years, particularly in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and other geopolitical events. Intense competition compels companies to efficiently execute their logistical processes, with cross-docking emerging as a frequently applied solution. However, the location of cross-dock terminals in urban areas remains a problem insufficiently addressed in the literature, with a dearth of studies and models tackling this issue. This paper introduces a novel and innovative model for locating cross-dock terminals based on the CI-DEA–IDOCRIW–MABAC (Composite Indicators–Data Envelopment Analysis-Integrated Determination of Objective Criteria Weights–Multi-Attributive Border Approximation Area Comparison) methods. In the process of defining input indicators, the following three sources were utilized: relevant literature, practical insights from logistics experts, and the knowledge and experience of the authors. Eight inputs and three outputs were considered (the number of users in the observed channel; the area served by the channel; the average distance a vehicle travels in one delivery; the required number of vehicles; labor availability; competition; construction, and expansion possibilities; proximity to the main infrastructure and traffic facilities; the average number of deliveries; average delivered quantity; and service level). The model underwent testing in a case study analyzing nine distribution channels (areas within the observed urban zone). The results indicated that alternative A4 (in the southwest area) ranked the highest since it was the best-ranked in accordance with the most important criteria, suggesting that the terminal is best located in the southwest zone. The accuracy of the results was confirmed by company management. As penetration of EVs in the transportation sector is increasing, the demand for the mandatory installation of charging infrastructure also is increasing. In addition, renewable energy and energy storage systems (ESSs) are being reviewed for use in electric vehicle charging stations (EVCSs). In this paper, we present an optimal electricity trading volume and an optimal installation capacity of ESSs to maximize the daily profit of the EVCSs equipped with solar power generation when the EVCSs are licensed to sell energy to the power supplier during a specific time period. By formulating and solving the optimization problem of the EVCSs, this paper analyzes validation results for the different useful lives of ESSs, the peak power of a PV generator, and weather conditions at the Yangjae Solar Station and the Suseo Station public parking lot, Seoul, Republic of Korea. Furthermore, this paper validates that the daily expected profit of EVCSs with the proposed method outperforms the profit of conventional EVCSs which do not utilize ESSs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Sharing of a project's outcomes drives the contracting parties to closer cooperation. However, subcontracting and sharing with downstream contracting parties (e.g., subcontractor and sub-subcontractor) have received less attention in the construction literature. This paper proposes an optimal multilayer outcome-sharing model for construction contracts between a client and a construction team (e.g., including contractors, subcontractors, and sub-subcontractors), based on existing utility and principal–agent models. A numerical study supports the validity of the proposed model and the paper's propositions. The findings indicate that optimal effort levels by downstream parties result in cost savings for all contracting parties, promoting fair and efficient outcome sharing. Moreover, the study highlights that contracts with risk-neutral downstream contracting parties lead to the most significant cost-saving for the client. The paper's contribution lies in establishing a connection between optimal sharing in upstream layers and downstream layers. The modeling approach is original, with no similar models found in the existing literature. The model can be utilized by those involved in writing incentive contracts to determine the best approach for sharing project outcomes with downstream parties. The paper sheds new light on the sharing problem in multilayer contracting. During the tendering process, clients, contractors, subcontractors, and others may encounter challenges in negotiating appropriate outcome-sharing contracts. A Hybrid Photovoltaic Thermal (PVT) system is one of the most emerging and energy-efficient technologies in the area of solar energy engineering. This review paper provides a comprehensive review of hybrid PVT systems in the context of the history of PVT, general classification, and parameter analysis. Several cell technologies with spectrum analysis are discussed to understand the application's ability and energy efficiency. Hybrid PVT concept, characteristics, and structure analysis is also discussed in this study. An extensive analysis on the classifications of hybrid PVT systems from the recent literature is also presented here. These literatures are identified based on several criteria. In order to provide a complete and energy-efficient technology, an innovative classification of the hybrid PVT system is proposed in this paper. This proposed classification is a combination and upgrade of various existing classifications mentioned in recent research studies. Parameters have a significant and unavoidable impact on the performance and efficiency of the hybrid PVT system. A brief analysis of different parameters and the optimization of the system is conducted after reviewing recent research articles. This analysis provides insights into the impact of parameter variations on the system. A novel parameter model comprising parametric and optimistic analyses is also presented in this paper. It provides a detailed parametric description that significantly affects the performance and efficiency of the hybrid PVT system. This paper presents a novel approach to optimize the thinning of an elliptical cylindrical array (ECA) composed of uniformly stimulated, isotropic antennas with the objective of achieving a directed beam characterized by a significantly reduced relative Sidelobe Level (SLL). The optimization process employs the Novel Particle Swarm Optimization (NPSO) method, which offers a fresh perspective on addressing electromagnetic optimization challenges by its ability to effectively explore solution spaces. By employing the NPSO algorithm, which emulates the collective behavior of swarming particles to search for optimal solutions, this study addresses complex optimization challenges inherent in antenna array design. This study focuses on identifying the optimal combination of ON–OFF components (use the minimum number of ON antenna elements) within the antenna array to produce a radiation pattern exhibiting the greatest decrease in SLL. Additionally, the First Null Beam Width (FNBW) is targeted for optimization without predefined values. The optimization approach also considers the effect of thinned array element spacing on the overall performance metrics. Out of total 36 elements, only 15 elements are switched ON and the remaining of the elements are OFF, so the total reduction or thinning of ECAA is 41.66%. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed methodology enables a simultaneous reduction of more than half of the antenna array elements while achieving superior SLL minimization. Optimal planning and design of microgrids are priorities in the electrification of off-grid areas. Indeed, in one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 7), the UN recommends universal access to electricity for all at the lowest cost. Several optimization methods with different strategies have been proposed in the literature as ways to achieve this goal. This paper proposes a microgrid installation and planning model based on a combination of several techniques. The programming language Python 3.10 was used in conjunction with machine learning techniques such as unsupervised learning based on K-means clustering and deterministic optimization methods based on mixed linear programming. These methods were complemented by the open-source spatial method for optimal electrification planning: onsset. Four levels of study were carried out. The first level consisted of simulating the model obtained with a cluster, which is considered based on the elbow and k-means clustering method as a case study. The second level involved sizing the microgrid with a capacity of 40 kW and optimizing all the resources available on site. The example of the different resources in the Togo case was considered. At the third level, the work consisted of proposing an optimal connection model for the microgrid based on voltage stability constraints and considering, above all, the capacity limit of the source substation. Finally, the fourth level involved a planning study of electrification strategies based mainly on microgrids according to the study scenario. The results of the first level of study enabled us to obtain an optimal location for the centroid of the cluster under consideration, according to the different load positions of this cluster. Then, the results of the second level of study were used to highlight the optimal resources obtained and proposed by the optimization model formulated based on the various technology costs, such as investment, maintenance, and operating costs, which were based on the technical limits of the various technologies. In these results, solar systems account for 80% of the maximum load considered, compared to 7.5% for wind systems and 12.5% for battery systems. Next, an optimal microgrid connection model was proposed based on the constraints of a voltage stability limit estimated to be 10% of the maximum voltage drop. The results obtained for the third level of study enabled us to present selective results for load nodes in relation to the source station node. Finally, the last results made it possible to plan electrification using different network technologies and systems in the short and long term. The case study of Togo was taken into account. The various results obtained from the different techniques provide the necessary leads for a feasibility study for optimal electrification of off-grid areas using microgrid systems. The prospect of the energy transition is exciting and sure to benefit multiple aspects of daily life. However, various challenges, such as planning, business models, and energy access are still being tackled. Energy Communities have been gaining traction in the energy transition, as they promote increased integration of Renewable Energy Sources (RESs) and more active participation from the consumers. However, optimization becomes crucial to support decision making and the quality of service for the effective functioning of Energy Communities. Optimization in the context of Energy Communities has been explored in the literature, with increasing attention to metaheuristic approaches. This paper contributes to the ongoing body of work by presenting the results of a benchmark between three classical metaheuristic methods—Differential Evolution (DE), the Genetic Algorithm (GA), and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO)—and three more recent approaches—the Mountain Gazelle Optimizer (MGO), the Dandelion Optimizer (DO), and the Hybrid Adaptive Differential Evolution with Decay Function (HyDE-DF). Our results show that newer methods, especially the Dandelion Optimizer (DO) and the Hybrid Adaptive Differential Evolution with Decay Function (HyDE-DF), tend to be more competitive in terms of minimizing the objective function. In particular, the Hybrid Adaptive Differential Evolution with Decay Function (HyDE-DF) demonstrated the capacity to obtain extremely competitive results, being on average 3% better than the second-best method while boasting between around 2× and 10× the speed of other methods. The LSTM neural network is often employed for time-series data prediction due to its strong nonlinear mapping capability and memory effect, allowing for better identification of complex data characteristics. However, the large computational workload required by neural networks can result in longer prediction times, making deployment on time-sensitive embedded devices challenging. To address this, TensorRT, a software development kit for NVIDIA hardware platforms, offers optimized network structures and reduced inference times for deep learning inference applications. Though TensorRT inference is GPU-based like other deep learning frameworks, TensorRT outperforms comparable frameworks in terms of inference speed. In this paper, we compare the inference time consumption and prediction deviation of various approaches on CPU, GPU, and TensorRT, while also exploring the effects of different quantization approaches. Our experiments demonstrate the accuracy and inference latency of the same model on the FPGA development board PYNQ-Z1 as well, though the best results were obtained using NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX. The results show an approximately 50× improvement in inference speed compared to our previous technique, with only a 0.2% increase in Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). These works highlight the effectiveness and efficiency of TensorRT in reducing inference times, making it an excellent choice for time-sensitive embedded device deployments that require high precision and low latency. Circular antenna arrays (CAAs) find extensive utility in a range of cutting-edge communication applications such as 5G networks, the Internet of Things (IoT), and advanced beamforming technologies. In the realm of antenna design, the side lobes levels (SLL) in the radiation pattern hold significant importance within communication systems. This is primarily due to its role in mitigating signal interference across the entire radiation pattern's side lobes. In order to suppress the subsidiary lobe, achieve the required primary lobe orientation, and improve directivity, an optimization problem is used in this work. This paper introduces a method aimed at enhancing the radiation pattern of CAA by minimizing its SLL using a Hybrid Sooty Tern Naked Mole-Rat Algorithm (STNMRA). The simulation results show that the hybrid optimization method significantly reduces side lobes while maintaining reasonable directivity compared to the uniform array and other competitive metaheuristics. This paper proposes the Love Evolution Algorithm (LEA), a novel evolutionary algorithm inspired by the stimulus–value–role theory. The optimization process of the LEA includes three phases: stimulus, value, and role. Both partners evolve through these phases and benefit from them regardless of the outcome of the relationship. This inspiration is abstracted into mathematical models for global optimization. The efficiency of the LEA is validated through numerical experiments with CEC2017 benchmark functions, outperforming seven metaheuristic algorithms as evidenced by the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and the Friedman test. Further tests using the CEC2022 benchmark functions confirm the competitiveness of the LEA compared to seven state-of-the-art metaheuristics. Lastly, the study extends to real-world problems, demonstrating the performance of the LEA across eight diverse engineering problems. Microbial fuel cells (MFCs) have garnered significant attention due to their capacity to generate electricity using renewable and carbon-neutral energy sources such as wastewater. Extensive experimental work and modeling techniques have been employed to dissect these processes and understand their respective impacts on electricity generation. The driving force is to enhance MFC performance for practical applications commercially. Among the various statistical modeling approaches, one particularly robust tool is the Design of Experiments (DoE). It serves to establish the relationships between different variables that influence MFC performance and allows for the optimization of the MFC configuration and operation for scaled-up performances in terms of bioelectricity generation. This study focused on optimizing microbial fuel cells (MFCs) for bioelectricity production using industrial wastewater treatment, employing the Box–Behnken design (BBD) methodology. Through an analysis of response surface models and ANOVA tests, it was found that a combined approach of reduced quadratic, reduced two-factor interaction, and linear models yielded sound results, particularly in voltage yield, COD removal, and current density. Second-order regression models predicted optimal conditions for various parameters, with surface area, temperature, and catholyte dosage identified as critical input variables for optimization. Under these conditions, conducted by the four-factor and three-level Box–Behnken design methodology in a double-chamber MFC unit considering eight output variables—CCV yield, % COD removal, current density, power density, % TSS removal, % CE, and % P O 4 3 − —the optimum values were 700 mV, 54.4%, 54.4 mA/m2, 73.7 mW/m2, 99%, 21.2%, and 100%, respectively. At optimum operating conditions, the results revealed a desirability of 76.6% out of a total of 92 iterations. The paper highlights the effectiveness of statistical ANOVA fit-statistics modeling and optimization in enhancing DCMFC performance, recommending its use as a sustainable bioenergy source. This paper introduces a new algorithm designed to address the challenge of distribution network reconfiguration, employing the tabu search metaheuristic in conjunction with the voltage drop concept. Distinguishing itself from existing methods, our proposed approach not only utilizes voltage drop for obtaining the initial solution but also introduces a novel technique for generating a candidate solution neighborhood. This method leverages both randomness and voltage drop, ensuring a smooth and steady descent during algorithm execution. The primary goal of our algorithm is to minimize active power losses within distribution networks. To validate its effectiveness, the proposed method underwent testing on three commonly referenced distribution systems: the 33-Bus, 69-Bus, and 94-Bus systems, widely acknowledged in the literature. The green energy transition calls for various solutions to enhance environmental sustainability. One of these is represented by renewable energy communities, which may help transition from centralized energy production to distributed renewable generation. European countries are actively promoting incentive schemes for energy communities to foster local electricity self-consumption in order to balance demand and renewable generation. In this context, energy storage facilities can be employed to gather the energy production surplus and use it in periods of low generation. In this paper, we focus on the optimal operation of an incentive-based energy community in the presence of energy storage systems. A centralized optimization problem was formulated to optimally operate storage systems at the community level. Starting from this solution, distributed charging/discharging commands were found to optimally operate the single storage units. Moreover, conditions guaranteeing the convenience of using energy storage systems inside the community were derived. Energy efficiency is a challenging and relevant research field in modern manufacturing industries, where robotic systems play an essential role in the automation of several industrial operations. In this paper, we present an approach for the energy-efficiency optimization of a 3-DOF parallel robot. The proposed strategy leverages the task placement, the execution time, and the length of the robot lower arms to minimize the energy consumption for the execution of a predefined high-speed pick-and-place operation. To evaluate the actuators energy consumption, the kinematic, dynamic and electro-mechanic mathematical models, as well as an equivalent multibody model, of the parallel robot are implemented. The results of extensive numerical simulations show that the proposed strategy provides notable improvements in the energy efficiency of the parallel robot, with respect to alternative approaches. Starting from a pick-and-place task with optimal task placement with a consumption of 38.2 J (with a cycle time of 0.4 s), the energy expenditure can be reduced to 3.75 J (with a cycle time of 1.86 s), with a reduction percentage of 90.2%, by additionally optimizing the execution time, and the length of the robot lower arms. These results lead to a reduction from 5733 J/min (for 150 cycles/min) to 121 J/min (for 32 cycles/min), allowing to choose the best trade-off between robot productivity and consumed energy. This paper presents research on the use of anisogrid lattice structures in fighter wing applications. While the anisogrid lattice structure has been widely used in spacecraft structures, its implementation in main aircraft structures is still limited. The study is aimed at investigating the feasibility of utilizing an anisogrid lattice structure in fighter wing design. The analysis and optimization focus on determining the optimal weight of the composite wing structure, considering static, buckling, and flutter failure constraints. Various lift distributions, including triangular, Schrenk, and constant, are applied to evaluate the structure's response to static failure caused by aerodynamic loads. The anisogrid structure design incorporates inclined lattice elements between ribs and spars, with spar arrangement in the wing box featuring an anisogrid configuration. The anisogrid lattice structure is expected to produce higher bending and torsional stiffness compared to conventional orthogonal structures, producing better flutter and buckling characteristics. The optimized wing structure successfully meets static, buckling, and flutter load requirements at speeds below 500 m/s. The study showcases triangular, Schrenk, and constant load distributions resulting in half-wing masses of 504, 571, and 707 kg, respectively. In the realm of evolutionary game theory, the majority of scenarios involve players with incomplete knowledge, specially regarding their opponents' actions and payoffs compounded by the ever‐shifting landscape of players' interactions. These dynamics present formidable challenges in both the analysis and optimization of game evolution. To address this, a novel model named the networked evolutionary game (NEG) is proposed based on incomplete information with switched topologies. This model captures situations where players possess limited insight into their opponents' benefits, yet make decisions based on their own payoffs while adapting to different networks and new players. To bridge the gap between incomplete and complete information games, R. Selten's transformation method is leveraged, a renowned approach that converts an incomplete information game into an interim agent game, thereby establishing the equivalence of pure Nash equilibria (NE) in both scenarios. Employing the semi‐tensor product (STP) of matrices, a powerful tool in logistic system, the evolution of the model is articulated through algebraic relationships. This enables to unravel the patterns of game evolution and identify the corresponding pure Nash equilibria. By introducing control players, strategically positioned within the game, optimized control is facilitated over the evolutionary trajectory, ultimately leading to convergence towards an optimal outcome. Virtual screening is an early stage in the drug discovery process that selects the most promising candidates. In the urgent computing scenario, finding a solution in the shortest time frame is critical. Any improvement in the performance of a virtual screening application translates into an increase in the number of candidates evaluated, thereby raising the probability of finding a drug. In this paper, we show how we can improve application throughput using Out-of-kernel optimizations. They use input features, kernel requirements, and architectural features to rearrange the kernel inputs, executing them out of order, to improve the computation efficiency. These optimizations' implementations are designed on an extreme-scale virtual screening application, named LiGen, that can hinge on CUDA and SYCL kernels to carry out the computation on modern supercomputer nodes. Even if they are tailored to a single application, they might also be of interest for applications that share a similar design pattern. The experimental results show how these optimizations can increase kernel performance by 2 × , respectively, up to 2.2 × in CUDA and up to 1.9 × , in SYCL. The advancement of autonomous capabilities in maritime navigation has gained significant attention, with a trajectory moving from decision support systems to full autonomy. This push towards autonomy has led to extensive research focusing on collision avoidance, a critical aspect of safe navigation. Among the various possible approaches, dynamic programming is a promising tool for optimizing collision avoidance maneuvers. This paper presents a DP formulation for the collision avoidance of autonomous vessels. We set up the problem framework, formulate it as a multi-stage decision process, define cost functions and constraints focusing on the actual requirements a marine maneuver must comply with, and propose a solution algorithm leveraging parallel computing. Additionally, we present a greedy approximation to reduce algorithm complexity. We put the proposed algorithms to the test in realistic navigation scenarios and also develop an extensive test on a large set of randomly generated scenarios, comparing them with the RRT* algorithm using performance metrics proposed in the literature. In this paper, attention is focused on the analysis and optimization of energy flows in networked systems via a fluid-dynamic approach. Considering the real case of an energy hub, the proposed model deals with conservation laws on arcs and linear programming problems at nodes. Optimization of the energy flows is accomplished by considering a cost functional, which estimates a term proportional to the kinetic energy of the overall system in consideration. As the real optimization issue deals with an integral formulation for which precise solutions have to be studied through variational methods, a decentralized approach is considered. First, the functional is optimized for a simple network having a unique node, with an incoming arc and two outgoing ones. The optimization deals with distribution coefficients, and explicit solutions are found. Then, global optimization is obtained via the local optimal parameters at the various nodes of the real system. With respect to a traditional point-to-point (P-P) network, a hub-and-spoke (H-S) network not only uses a smaller number of links/paths but also utilizes the scale economy advantage on consolidated flows on hub–hub links and at hubs. However, the inevitable delays through hubs have always been a critical concern. Therefore, this paper develops an H-S model considering flow delay costs and applies the model to a logistics case in Eastern China. The integer quadratic term in the model's objective function is linearized using the algebraic method. Our model is applied to develop an H-S network for its 13-node express package delivery operation, using the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. The results show using the H-S can save more than 14.1% of the total cost annually. The proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and their integration into critical infrastructure and business operations has rendered them susceptible to malware and cyber-attacks. Such malware presents a threat to the availability and reliability of IoT devices, and a failure to address it can have far-reaching impacts. Due to the limited resources of IoT devices, traditional rule-based detection systems are often ineffective against sophisticated attackers. This paper addressed these issues by designing a new framework that uses a machine learning (ML) algorithm for the detection of malware. Additionally, it also employed sequential detection architecture and evaluated eight malware datasets. The design framework is lightweight and effective in data processing and feature selection algorithms. Moreover, this work proposed a classification model that utilizes one support vector machine (SVM) algorithm and is individually tuned with three different optimization algorithms. The employed optimization algorithms are Nuclear Reactor Optimization (NRO), Artificial Rabbits Optimization (ARO), and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). These algorithms are used to explore a diverse search space and ensure robustness in optimizing the SVM for malware detection. After extensive simulations, our proposed framework achieved the desired accuracy among eleven existing ML algorithms and three proposed ensemblers (i.e., NRO_SVM, ARO_SVM, and PSO_SVM). Among all algorithms, NRO_SVM outperforms the others with an accuracy rate of 97.8%, an F1 score of 97%, and a recall of 99%, and has fewer false positives and false negatives. Microgrids (MGs) have evolved as critical components of modern energy distribution networks, providing increased dependability, efficiency, and sustainability. Effective control strategies are essential for optimizing MG operation and maintaining stability in the face of changing environmental and load conditions. Traditional rule-based control systems are extensively used due to their interpretability and simplicity. However, these strategies frequently lack the flexibility for complex and changing system dynamics. This paper provides a novel method called hybrid intelligent control for adaptive MG that integrates basic rule-based control and deep learning techniques, including gated recurrent units (GRUs), basic recurrent neural networks (RNNs), and long short-term memory (LSTM). The main target of this hybrid approach is to improve MG management performance by combining the strengths of basic rule-based systems and deep learning techniques. These deep learning techniques readily enhance and adapt control decisions based on historical data and domain-specific rules, leading to increasing system efficiency, stability, and resilience in adaptive MG. Our results show that the proposed method optimizes MG operation, especially under demanding conditions such as variable renewable energy supply and unanticipated load fluctuations. This study investigates special RNN architectures and hyperparameter optimization techniques with the aim of predicting power consumption and generation within the adaptive MG system. Our promising results show the highest-performing models indicating high accuracy and efficiency in power prediction. The finest-performing model accomplishes an R 2 value close to 1, representing a strong correlation between predicted and actual power values. The dynamics and vibration reduction performance of bistable nonlinear energy sink (BNES) are studied in this paper. First, the negative stiffness of BNES is realized by geometric nonlinearity, and the dynamics model of the system is established. The slow flow equation of the system under 1:1 main resonance is analyzed based on the complexification-averaging (CX-A) method, and the boundary conditions of saddle node bifurcation and Hopf bifurcation are analyzed. Second, the slow invariant manifold (SIM) of the BNES is studied based on multiscale analysis, and the excitation threshold of strongly modulated response (SMR) is analyzed; the analysis results are verified by the numerical method. The results show that the analytical solution is highly consistent with the numerical solution, and the error is less than 1%. Finally, the influence of structural parameters on the vibration reduction performance is analyzed and optimized. Vibration-driven robots are innovative mechanical systems that exhibit a wide range of capabilities and applications due to their simple propellers. The applications of these robots span from clearing debris after an incident, traversing pipelines for inspection and maintenance, or medical purposes. In this paper, optimization and motion control of an energy-efficient two-module vibration-driven robot are investigated. The robot contains two blocks connected by a spring as its main body, and an unbalanced rotating mass to drive the robot rectilinearly. At first, the governing dynamic equations of the robot are derived and solved using MATLAB/Simulink. Then, the dynamic model of the robot is verified by comparing the obtained results with the simulation results from MSC Adams. Subsequently, a parametric study is conducted to investigate the effect of various physical parameters of the robot on its average velocity and consumed energy. Afterward, optimization variables are determined and a proper objective function is considered. By performing an optimization process using a genetic algorithm (NSGA-II), optimal parameters of the robot are obtained. Moreover, for motion control of the optimized robot, two control schemes, PID and Fractional Order PID, are designed. To evaluate and compare the performance of the proposed controllers, parameters of both controllers are optimized using a genetic algorithm in which both tracking error and control input are minimized, simultaneously. Contemporary distribution networks can be seen with diverse dispatchable and non‐dispatchable energy resources. The coordinated scheduling of these dispatchable resources with non‐dispatchable resources can provide several techno‐economic and social benefits. Since battery energy storage systems (BESSs) and microturbine units are capital intensive. A thorough investigation of their coordinated scheduling on a purely economic basis will be an interesting and challenging task while considering dynamic electricity price and uncertainty of renewable power generation and load demand. This paper proposes a new methodology for optimal coordinated scheduling of BESSs and microturbine units considering existing renewable energy resources and dynamic electricity price to maximize daily profit function of the utility. In this study, a recently explored modified African buffalo optimization algorithm is employed. The key attributes of the proposed methodology are comprised of mean price‐based adaptive scheduling embedded within a decision mechanism system to maximize arbitrage benefits. Decision mechanism system keeps a track of system states as a‐priori thus guides the artificial intelligence‐based solution technique for sequential optimization. This may also reduce the computational burden of complex real‐life engineering optimization problems. Further, a novel concept of fictitious charges in coordination with BESS management algorithm is proposed to restrict the counterproductive operational management of BESSs. Speech presence probability (SPP) and gain functions such as Wiener filter or MMSE estimators require an estimate of the a-priori signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). However, the estimation of the a-priori SNR is computationally involved and sensitive to noise variations. This paper proposes to approximate the SPP and the overall gain function of a speech enhancement system by using sigmoid functions to reduce the need of estimating the a-prior SNR. By applying an approximation via the sigmoid functions it is shown that only the a-posteriori estimate of SNR is needed, resulting in a low complexity system. The sigmoid function is designed with an optimization algorithm to optimize its parameters with respect to speech quality measures. The optimization algorithm is based on the idea that the solution obtained for a given problem should move towards the best solution and avoid the worst solution. The proposed algorithm requires minimal control parameters and does not require any algorithm specific parameters. In recent years, several research works have addressed and developed the phase-locked loop (PLL) in single-phase grid-connected converters with different structures and properties. Each has merits and demerits, such as a complex structure, high computational burden, and slow transient response. This paper aims to comprehensively review advanced single-phase PLLs based on transport delay operators to realize signal orthogonality. A deep insight into the PLLs' small-signal modeling, main characteristics, stability analysis, and loop filter design are provided in this paper. The main advantages and drawbacks are explained for each type of PLL in terms of different performance indexes, such as settling time, estimation error, and ripples in the estimated grid information. This paper also aims to provide optimal tuning and design of the loop filter gains from the large-signal model point of view, including all the nonlinearities, adopting the stochastic optimization method. All simulations are implemented using the MATLAB/Simulink 2018b environment to validate all theoretical analyses of this paper. This paper presents a method based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) for optimizing the power settings of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAVs) along a given trajectory in order to minimize fuel consumption and maximize autonomy during surveillance missions. UAVs are widely used in surveillance missions and their autonomy is a key characteristic that contributes to their success. Providing a way to reduce fuel consumption and increase autonomy provides a significant advantage during the mission. The method proposed in this paper included path smoothing techniques in 3D for fixed-wing UAVs based on circular arcs that overfly the waypoints, an essential feature in a surveillance mission. It used the equations of motions and the decomposition of Newton's equation to compute the fuel consumption based on a given power setting. The proposed method used PSO to compute optimized power settings while respecting the absolute physical constraints, such as the load factor, the lift coefficient, the maximum speed and the maximum amount of fuel onboard. Finally, the method was parallelized on a multicore processor to accelerate the computation and provide fast optimization of the power settings in case the trajectory was changed in flight by the operator. Our results showed that the proposed PSO was able to reduce fuel consumption by up to 25% in the trajectories tested and the parallel implementation provided a speedup of 21.67× compared to a sequential implementation on the CPU. In this paper, we introduce the Special Issue on Machine Learning Methods and Applications in Large-Scale Route Planning Problems, which draws its inspiration from the academic community's positive reception of the 2021 Amazon Last Mile Routing Research Challenge. We provide a structured overview of the papers featured in this special issue, and briefly discuss other noteworthy contributions to the research challenge. Further, we point the reader to a number of peer-reviewed publications outside of this special issue that directly or indirectly emerged from the research challenge. Brain stroke is one of the most common causes of disability and death worldwide. In this paper, we present the numerical algorithm behind a new system for brain stroke detection: it relies on a novel imaging technique known as Electromagnetic Tomography (EMT). As compared to classical techniques, EMT has several advantages: it is noninvasive and, since it relies on nonionizing radiation, it is safe for the patient; it can be made compact and portable; it is easy to use and it has relatively low cost. The main drawback of EMT is its relatively poor spatial resolution due to restriction on the frequency spectrum. This paper presents a modified metaheuristic algorithm named the modified Firefly algorithm. Any metaheuristic algorithm will have exploration and exploitation steps, and the goal of modification is to maintain a balance between them. The improvement relies on movement equations, alterations to the algorithm’s structure by introducing a single loop, and a selection of movement equations at random. Two movement equations are included in the improved method and are randomly selected. This guarantees both regionally and globally focused solution-finding. This prevents the algorithm from getting stuck at a local minimum. Comparing the modified version to the original Firefly method, just one for loop is used, reducing the algorithm’s complexity. The algorithm’s performance is evaluated with 35 traditional benchmark test functions and 10 CEC2019 test functions. According to the findings, the suggested method performed optimally in 24 traditional benchmark test functions and best in the six remaining benchmark test functions. The improved algorithm produced the best outcomes in seven of the 10 CEC2019 test functions. In contrast, the Firefly algorithm produced optimal results in 18 classical benchmark test functions and the best results in 6 CEC2019 test functions. The proposed algorithm is compared with other variants of the Firefly algorithm for common test functions in the literature. Tuberculosis (TB) stands as the leading cause of death and a significant threat to humanity in the contemporary world. Early detection of TB is crucial for precise identification and treatment, and Chest X-Rays (CXR) serve as a valuable tool in this regard. Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) systems play a vital role in easing the classification process of active and latent TB. This paper uses an approach called the Double Attention Res-U-Net-based Deep Neural Network (DARUNDNN) to enhance TB detection in the lungs. The detection process involves pre-processing, noise removal, image level balancing, the application of the DARUNDNN model and using the Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) for improved accuracy. Experimental validation using Montgomery Country (MC), Shenzhen China (SC), and NIH CXR Datasets compares the results with U-Net, AlexNet, GoogleNet, and convolutional neural network (CNN) models. The findings, particularly from the SC dataset, demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed DARUNDNN model with an accuracy of 98.6%, specificity of 96.24%, and sensitivity of 97.66%, outperforming benchmarked deep learning models. Additionally, validation with the MC dataset reveals an excellent accuracy of 98%, specificity of 97.56%, and sensitivity of 98.52%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The increasing integration of microgrids into distribution networks has highlighted the significance of evaluating and managing intelligent microgrids from both technical and economic perspectives. In this paper, a decentralized approach using agents is employed to optimize the operation of an intelligent microgrid within the telecommunications platform. The decentralized control method comprises two layers. The first layer represents the main microgrid, which includes loads and their controllers, as well as renewable and conventional resources. In the secondary layer, there is a telecommunication platform in which agents can operate as a control processor along with the means of communication. It should be noted that agents interact with the primary layer and neighbouring agents and exchange information with each other. This exchange takes place until the best state of optimization for the power supply occurs. In this study, the operation cost is calculated for decentralized control rules and considering telecommunication links. Also, the effect of performance on cost reduction is examined and compared with normal conditions and centralized methods. It can be seen that the operation cost of the network has decreased to 9.034% after the implementation of the mentioned method in comparison with the normal condition and it has decreased to 6.957% in comparison with the centralized method. Then, using a demand side management program, the cost will be reduced by 2.5%. This paper presents a novel method for efficiently solving a trajectory planning problem for swarm robotics in cluttered environments. Recent research has demonstrated high success rates in real-time local trajectory planning for swarm robotics in cluttered environments, but optimizing trajectories for each robot is still computationally expensive, with a computational complexity from O (k (n t , ε) n t 2) to O (k (n t , ε) n t 3) where n t is the number of parameters in the parameterized trajectory, ε is precision, and k (n t , ε) is the number of iterations with respect to n t and ε. Furthermore, the swarm is difficult to move as a group. To address this issue, we define and then construct the optimal virtual tube, which includes infinite optimal trajectories. Under certain conditions, any optimal trajectory in the optimal virtual tube can be expressed as a convex combination of a finite number of optimal trajectories, with a computational complexity of O (n t) . Afterward, a hierarchical approach including a planning method of the optimal virtual tube with minimizing energy and distributed model predictive control is proposed.
