The widespreadness of video games, particularly among digital natives, requires ongoing exploration of their profound effects. This study aligns with this need, investigating video games as possible tools for positive societal influence and exploring their potential to address sensitive social issues. Transportation theory underscores the transformative potential of video games, casting players as "travellers" who, traversing stages of reality dissolution, emotional connection, and altered return, present a pathway for attitude transformation. Participants (N = 98) engaged with "Survival," "Paper, Please," and "Against All Odds" to explore the effectiveness of video games in addressing the refugee crisis, increasing awareness of the issue at hand, changing perceptions, and encouraging them to take action in real life. The study's results align with integrated threat theory, revealing that immersive gaming experiences can induce significant changes in attitudes, decrease denial, and increase empathy. The results highlight the potential of video games to educate people about pressing global issues and invoke empathy without trivialising problems. Consequently, while this study extends the current body of knowledge, it offers some promising directions for further research to validate the affirmative impact of video games in this realm. Background. Permanent supportive housing (PSH) is an evidence‐based solution to chronic homelessness. There are two common PSH models: place‐based (PB) programs where clients live in one building with services provided onsite and scattered‐site (SS) programs, which use community apartments coupled with mobile case management and support. Understanding the relative strengths and weaknesses of PB and SS is important for PSH planning and service delivery. This paper explores homeless service provider perspectives on these two models after the onset of the COVID‐19 pandemic. Methods. Service providers (N = 37) from across 5 PSH agencies in Los Angeles that provided either PB or SS services during the pandemic participated in focus groups. Discussions were recorded, transcribed, and analyzed using template analysis, grounded theory, and inductive techniques. Results. Providers identified four major differences between PB and SS services: (1) challenges in finding placements; (2) managing relationships with landlords/property managers; (3) frequency of contact; and (4) community integration. Advantages of PB included ease of finding units, ease of managing relationships with landlords/property managers, greater ability to serve clients efficiently, more frequent client contact, and more community among residents. SS was seen to provide tenants with more opportunities to grow, live in healthier environments, and develop independence. During the pandemic, finding units for SS clients became more difficult, while differences between PB and SS related to frequency of contact and community integration became more attenuated. Conclusions. PB can be advantageous for clients with higher levels of acuity, whereas SS could be more appropriate for clients who are more stable and independent. PB programs are seen to have practical and logistical advantages, but some providers prefer SS services. Clients and providers should be matched to PSH configurations that best match their needs and preferences, and providers should be aware that public health emergencies may impact PB and SS settings differently. Aim: To describe the use of artificial intelligence (AI) by nurse managers to enhance management, leadership, and healthcare outcomes. Background: AI represents a significant transformation in healthcare management by enhancing decision‐making, communication, and resource optimization. However, the integration and strategic application of AI in nursing management are underexplored, particularly regarding its impact on leadership roles and healthcare delivery. Methods: Methodological guidelines described by PRISMA were followed, and quality was assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) methodology. The databases searched included the Web of Science, Scopus, CINAHLi, and PubMed. The review included quantitative, qualitative, and mixed‐method studies published between January 2015 and April 2024. Results: Fourteen studies were selected for the review. The key findings indicate that AI technologies facilitate better resource management, risk assessment, and decision‐making. AI also supports nurse managers in leading changes, enhancing communication, and optimizing administrative tasks. Conclusion: AI has been progressively integrated into nursing management, demonstrating significant benefits in operational efficiency, decision support, and leadership enhancement. However, challenges, such as resistance to technological change and ethical complexities, need to be addressed. Implications for Nursing Management: Specific training programs for nurse managers are essential to optimize the integration of AI. Such programs should focus on the management of AI applications and data analyses. In addition, creating interdisciplinary groups involving nurse managers, AI developers, and nursing staff is crucial for tailoring AI solutions to meet the unique needs of healthcare settings. The increased funding provided for Community Health Worker (CHW) hiring and training as part of the COVID‐19 pandemic response was to increase their impact in alleviating the effects of negative social determinants of health in the lives of the most vulnerable individuals and communities. This enhanced use of CHW in vulnerable populations can also be used to improve access to such populations for applied research to study ways to improve health outcomes for low‐income minority populations. We carried out a feasibility study using the State CHW association as partners to reach CHWs working with low‐income minority population. Three hundred and three (303) clients of CHWs were interviewed on various demographic, health access, and employment information and both univariate and multivariate analyses was used to determine factors associated with being unvaccinated against COVID‐19 and chi‐squared used to determine if employment was associated with having health insurance. About half of the clients self‐identified as Black/African American and half as Hispanic. Two‐thirds were women and 52.1% were unemployed and 55.1% had no health insurance. There was no association between employment status and having health insurance. Majority (71.6%) had received one dose of a type of COVID‐19 vaccine and being younger and being African American were associated with not getting a dose of COVID‐19 vaccine, as well as being unemployed and not having health insurance. Most of the clients came to see the CHW about a Health/Healthcare issue of the five social determinants of health (SDOH). There were 38 different job titles provided by the clients and the job titles were mainly blue collar jobs and jobs in health and personal care. Our results indicate that CHWs reach the most vulnerable population who have limited health access and high unemployment and that CHWs can effectively be used for linkage to low‐income minority population for applied research. Our analyses found that in this low‐income population, being younger, being African American, being unemployed, and not having health insurance are each associated with not getting vaccinated against COVID‐19, and employment is not associated with having health insurance. We have shown that partnership with CHWs to access their clients as research subjects leads to elucidating new information on the population that can be used in addressing public health programming. Background. Take‐up of the influenza (flu) vaccination in France is assessed every year by Santé publique France (SPF), a national health agency. In 2020, the pandemic of COVID‐19 took place all over the world. With several symptoms known to be similar between flu and COVID‐19, we expected to observe a positive association with people's choice to also take the flu vaccine injection. Methods. Data regarding the flu vaccination for people aged 65 and over were extracted from the French National Health Data System (Système National des Données de Santé—SNDS). A noninterventional multicenter survey in the Department of Maine et Loire, an area in the west of France, was used for assessing the effect of COVID‐19 on vaccination intention. Results. The flu vaccine take‐up (Maine et Loire, France), among people aged 65 and over, improved since 2017 (54.36% in 2017–18 vs 58.12% in 2020–21). In 2020–21 (concomitant with the COVID‐19 pandemic), people got vaccinated earlier than the previous year (peak in weeks 1–2 vs peak in weeks 5–6 in previous campaigns), before a shortage of doses interrupted the 2020–21 campaign. Of the 211 people who answered the survey among the 232 for whom it was proposed, 175 were vaccinated during the 2020–21 flu vaccine campaign. Among them, 29.12% declared they were aware of COVID‐19 when receiving the flu vaccine. The most cited reason for taking the vaccination was the need to feel safe from the influenza virus; the second was "awareness of the fact that a virus can be contagious and deadly." Conclusion. Our study highlights the COVID‐19 association perceived by the elderly population (Maine et Loire) on flu vaccination rates. Despite having human consequences, the COVID‐19 pandemic seems to be beneficial to flu vaccine take‐up and may positively change people's beliefs and behaviors towards flu vaccination. Background. Clinical reasoning and evidence-based medicine (EBM) are important concepts in modern medicine. Objective. We performed this study to investigate the knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) status toward clinical reasoning and EBM among the medical interns and gynecology resident physicians of Iran University of Medical Sciences and related factors. Methods. A cross-sectional study (Tehran, Iran, first half of 2022) was conducted based on two researcher-made questionnaires consisting of three components for each including clinical reasoning attitude (CR-A), clinical reasoning knowledge (CR-K), clinical reasoning practice (CR-P), EBM attitude (EBM-A), EBM knowledge (EBM-K), and EBM practice (EBM-P). The related factors were age, gender, educational level, score of general practice education, having research experience, and general practice experience. Results. A total of 60 individuals participated. The mean score was good for CR-A, moderate for CR-K, moderate for CR-P, good for EBM-A, moderate for EBM-K, and moderate for EBM-P. The total score was moderate in both clinical reasoning and EBM. Among the related factors, CR-P was associated with higher educational levels and having experience in general practice (P < 0.05). Research experience was associated with better CR-K and all KAP components for EBM (P < 0.05). Conclusion. The total score and many of the KAP components had moderate status for clinical reasoning and EBM. Planning on the associated factors should be regarded in the future. Background. There was a remarkable downgrade in China's COVID-19 response strategies in January 2023. The COVID-19 infection rate grew rapidly in the early stages following the management policy shift. This study attempted to explore the associations between SARS-CoV-2 infection and mental or physical health status in pregnant and postpartum women and the role of perceived health risks and family members' SARS-CoV-2 infection status on these associations by capturing the impact of policy shifts in a short period of time. Methods. This cross-sectional study with a random sample from a convenience sample of hospitals was conducted in pregnant and postpartum women in January 2023. Standardized assessment tools were employed to assess anxiety, depressive and physical symptoms, and feelings of hopelessness. Hierarchical multiple logistic regressions were conducted to examine the mechanisms of associations of interests by including a range of sociodemographic factors, self-perceived health, SARS-CoV-2 infection status, and perceived health risks as covariates. Results. Of the 1,013 pregnant and postpartum women aged 32.0 ± 0.3 years, 58.2% (n = 590) were diagnosed with COVID-19, and 49.4% (n = 500) had family members who were infected with SARS-CoV-2. Nearly 98% of the included participants took measures to prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection. A COVID-19 diagnosis was positively associated with feelings of hopelessness (OR = 1.68, 95% CI: 1.20–2.35), probable anxiety (OR = 6.42, 95% CI: 2.18–24.61), possible depression (OR = 2.56, 95% CI: 1.07–6.70), and physical symptoms (OR = 6.28, 95% CI: 1.63–42.03) after adjusting for sociodemographic and health characteristics, while the associations presented no statistical significance when family members' SARS-CoV-2 infection status and perceived health risks were introduced into the models. Conclusions. Our results suggested that pregnant and postpartum women may experience physical and mental health challenges when they or their family members contracted COVID-19 in the context of a considerable shift in COVID-19 management. Early detection of poor health status and its risk factors for vulnerable groups during shifts in health policy and administrative practice is very necessary, and health services, including easy access to psychosocial support and obstetric counselling, should be prioritized. Background. Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy, a "living drug" immunotherapy, harnesses the power of T-cells from a patient (autologous) or healthy donor (allogeneic) to target and kill cancer cells and has shown unprecedented outcomes in patients with relapsed and refractory malignancies. Treatment with CAR-T cells requires the application of unique skillsets in recognised specialist centres for successful outcomes and requires management by the multidisciplinary team incorporating the specialist pharmacist. Method. A multimodal research strategy was employed for this literature review whereby PubMed, Google Scholar, Embase, Stella Library Search, EMA website, and EBMT website were sources of information. The search was limited from 2020 onwards with key terms referring to CAR-T cell therapy. Results and Discussion. There are six CAR-T cell products currently approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) which target haematological malignancies with abundant clinical trials underway exploring new and improved CAR designs and antigen targets. As CAR-T cell therapy is an advanced therapy medicinal product (ATMP), there is need for an extensive regulatory framework underpinning its safety and efficacy. The clinical pharmacist plays an integral role in the provision of safe and effective CAR-T cell therapy including governance, operational and clinical aspects of treatment. Pharmacists may also be involved through provision of "Qualified Person" (QP) expertise in clinical trials and for release within hospitals under certain circumstances. There is a need for harmonised and accessible guidance on the clinical delivery of ATMPs such as CAR-T cells, with fully delineated responsibilities of pharmacists involving the oversight and supervision of CAR-T cell treatment. Conclusion. There is an unmet need to provide suitable and applicable literature for clinical pharmacists who are involved in the delivery of CAR-T cells. We have provided an overview of T-cell biology and an explanation of CAR-T cell design and the biomanufacturing process. We reviewed the complex and multifaceted treatment cycle requiring considerable logistics, and described the involvement of the clinical pharmacist in each part of this cycle from patient selection to postinfusion care.
