The article reports that President Park Chung Hee is determined to retain his power at any cost to harmony or peace in South Korea. Accordingly, the South Korean president is ruthlessly persecuting his enemies with arrests and death penalties. It cites the arrests of 280 students and critics, the seize of former president Yun Po Sun, and the death penalty of Kim Chi Ha. It adds that Park's harsh repression is causing international reverberations including the conviction of two Japanese citizens, Yoshiharu Hayakawa and Masaki Tachikawa, who have been living in South Korea .
