The article features Samuel Adrian Baugh, an All-America quarterback in 1935 and 1936 who led his Texas Christian teammates to victory in the Sugar and Cotton Bowls and is the player-coach of the Washington Redskins for the 1953 season. In 1947, he threw 354 passes and set three all-time National Football League (NFL) records in one season. Baugh had earned about 300,000 U.S. dollars in salaries and endorsements and he has become a successful rancher with 6,355 acres of land in Rotan, Texas.
