Initial triage is carried out by a health aide using observation and scoring of objective clinical findings, and the patient is referred either to a physician or a nurse pediatric practitioner. Certain Negro children who reject milk exhibit biologic differences from other children. These factors operate beyond the social and economic determinants that act against the consumption of milk.
