Oxidation of NH3 over Bi2O3. MoO3 catalyst indicates the importance of electronic factors in oxide systems doped with small amounts of another oxide, and of structural factors for the intermediate compositions. Cation lattice defects in Bi2(MoO4)3 are invoked to account for the observed relationship between activity and composition.

In a recent study of the sensitivity of Coefficients of Reproducibility, Cotton (1969) found a lower bound for the expected value of the Green-Sagi (1953, 1959) Coefficient of Reproducibility under the assumption of response independence. It is the purpose of this note to show that the lower bound found by Cotton holds more generally. An appendix gives a nomograph for testing the significance of this coefficient of reproducibility.

The effects of TCAP on the incorporation of C14-adenine, C14-guanine, H3-uridine, H3-cytidine, and C14-valine into frog central and peripheral nervous tissue maintained in vitrowas observed. TCAP inhibited C14-valine incorporation into the protein fraction of both tissues. However, H3-uridine incorporation into RNA was inhibited only in brain tissue. TCA.P caused changes in the nucleic acid metabolism of frog ganglia in general quite similar to those produced by DNP and azide. However, TCAP did inhibit adenine incorporation into RNA whereas DNP and azide did not.
