Abstract

With the deepening of Japan's aging and miniaturizing of family structure, coupled with Japan's economic decline, unreasonableness and abnormal supply brought by the old pension system and ancillary equipment will bring a series of problems. Social endowment is the trend of the times. In this paper, the author expounds the problems encountered in the reconstruc-tion of urban hou- sing under the old-age model in Japan, and provides a comprehensive service to meet the needs of the elderly and be in line with their requirements and life style in the light of the housing, supporting space, public access, internal and external environment and public facilities. And the author creates economic and practical, comfortable and convenient, safe and healthy supporting residential facilities in line with living habits of the local elderly, and on this basis, the use of the Internet of things can better support the old-age housing

7. The Susceptibility of the Rodents, Gerbillus gerbillusand Gerbillus pyramidum, to Experimental Typhus Infection

Abstract

G. gerbillusand G. pyramidum, two rodents which abound in Egypt, succumb to large doses of either murine or louse-borne typhus rickettsiæ by the intranasal, intravenous, or intraperitoneal routes. Protective antibodies in the sera of persons who have recovered from typhus fever and in the sera of persons who have been vaccinated against typhus fever have been demonstrated in tests with the species G. gerbillus.Both species were useful in various types of experiments in which survival or death was the end point. Neither species has yet been found to be infected with typhus under natural conditions. Specific complement-fixing antibodies were demonstrated in the sera of both species after inoculation with murine or louse-borne typhus. G. gerbilluswas found to be slightly less susceptible to fatal infection than the Eastern cotton rat, Sigmodon hispidus hispidus.

Abstract

In the present paper, the energies of vacancy relaxation and vacancy formation of the face-centred cubic metals (lead, silver, nikel, copper, and aluminium) are calculated by using the idea of metallic bond and the Morse potential of pure metals.In the calculation of relaxation energy, both the atomic and the electronic redistribution are considered. The energies of vacancy relaxation calculated by using the present method are 1.27-1.36,>1.73, 1.93-2.29, 1.52-1.84, and >1.09 eV respectively. These results are more reasonable than those obtained without taking into account the electronic redistribution. These results indicate that the contribution of electronic redistribution to the effect of relaxation is very important.The formation energies of vacancy calculated by using the present method for the five metals mentioned above are 0.64-0.74
