The article discusses cannabis use amongst university students in Great Britain. It presents an initial prevalence survey intended to reveal the extent to which cannabis had been used by students and how often, and a detailed questionnaire designed to look at similarities and differences amongst different kinds of users and non users. The findings are discussed in three contexts: demographic and background factors, including social, family, educational and personal background factors; some broad attitudinal, behavioural and personality indices; and, conventional drug use and some attitudes to drug use generally.
