The article focuses on the human rights and freedom of scientists in the U.S. These include the right to communicate to other scientists, to participate in cultural and intellectual life of the community, and to accept the duties and responsibilities of citizenship. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 10, 1948 is discussed. Furthermore, list of duties of scientist are to maintain a spirit of honesty, integrity and cooperation, to examine the meaning and purposes of the work performed, and to promote the development of science in the benefits of humanity.
