AN ALGORITHM is presented for the solution of an inverse geophysical problem enabling additional information about the solution to be concluded, which is used within the limits of the general regularization method.

BELOW we shall examine the possibility of applying the regularization method (see [1, 2]) to the problem of restoring functions (see [3]). The results obtained in this paper are applied to the problem of processing experimental data (see [4]) and to some other problems.

THE solution by the regularization method of a class of linear integral equations of the first kind of the convolution type with an inaccurately defined right side and kernel is considered.

SOME questions of the practical realization of the method of regularization in solving systems of linear differential equations are considered below. A scheme is described which in some cases considerably increases the accuracy and speed of the calculations.

THE QUESTION of the construction of the pseudo solution of the linear algebraic system Az = u, is considered when the vector u is not known exactly but experimental realization of it with a normally distributed error and covariance matrix σσT are known. The method of solution used is the method of filtering of Markov processes. In the case where the error of the vector u is distributed arbitrarily, using the regularization method of A. N. Tikhonov [1], we present a filter of the solution of this problem.
