The article reports on the development of a method by Henri Griffon, toxicology specialist for the prefecture of police in Paris, France, and physicist-Captain Jean Barbaud, that would pinpoint the time when a victim had been poisoned by arsenic. In their study, Griffon and Barbaud bombarded the hair of a victim in the pile's neutron flux. They found the new use for atomic energy for criminal investigation such as in the case of Doctor Jean Duflos, who killed his wife with arsenic.
