Whether Benito Mussolini, Prime Minister of Italy, has been forced into his Abyssinian adventure by circumstances beyond his control or whether he has deliberately chosen Ethiopia as a place for Italy to seek its manifest destiny is, of course, impossible to determine; but the result as far as Ethiopia is concerned promises to be the same.
