The article presents information about the Institut d'Études Administratives Africaines de la Faculté de Droit et des Sciences Économiques de Dakar (IEAA) which provides legal, economic and social education and advanced training courses for African civil servants from all African States. Instructions at the institute comprises two cycles, a primary and a secondary. The primary cycle is open to civil servants or candidates for public employment and comprises three sections, Administrative Services, Registration and Treasury. The secondary cycle provides accelerated training and advanced courses for the higher administrative levels of the African civil service. It comprises two sections, General Administration, and Economic and Financial Administration. Scholarships are awarded by the University of Dakar to African civil servants from all states enabling them to take to take the courses of the secondary cycle at Dakar itself.
