The article presents a case study on the investment of the U.S. in the political fate of Chile in the early 1960s. It says that Eduardo Frei, leader of the Christian Democratic Party in Chile, became the recipient of American political counsel and financial help. However, Marxist Salvador Allende's Socialist Party continued to grow that it became a case for the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). It reveals that Soviet propaganda blames the CIA for the Chilean coup and the death of Allende.
