Abstract
The article relates the author's experiences during his visit to Hong Kong and Japan in the winter of 1974. He compared Hong Kong with the city of San Francisco in California with its blend of ocean, bay and hills. He observed that there is very little poverty in the city. He also toured tourist destinations in Kyoto, Japan.

Abstract
The article describes the author's travel to the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club along the Causeway Bay in Hong Kong, China. Moored at the bay are the fleet of member yachts, native Chinese junks and sampan, as well as floating restaurants. He shares that local residents are transforming sampans and junks into modified yachts, which are launched in festivities. The author also offers a look at the celebration of the Moon Festival at the streets of the Wanchai section.
