Abstract

The article profiles book illustrator and painter Tony Chen. Tony Chen is the son of a Chinese father and Jamaican-born Chinese mother. He went to New York City to study at the Art Careers School, then studied at the Pratt Institute for four years. He has illustrated books that were published by "Better Homes" and "The Reader's Digest." His first show was conducted at New York's Gallery 10 in 1965, with the Art Directors Club displaying his horse paintings in 1966.
