The section of "Yarn Production and Properties," presents information regarding the methods of open-end spinning. It is stated that open-end spinning systems are classified in several groups in which the first group includes all devices where all fibres are assembled and twist is given to the end of the yarn by a fluid vortex. In the second group systems, fibres are transported in a fluid medium like air, and they are then assembled along the axis of a mechanical twisting element. Fibres are not separated completely in group 3 systems but in place of that, tufts of fibre taken from roving are overlapped onto the surface of a rapidly rotating roller. For the process of feeding, there are two basic methods.
