Abstract
The article focuses on the proliferation of newspapers in Lebanon. It mentions that the development and use of newspapers in the Arab world like Lebanon happened in the second half of the nineteenth century and is due to the felt need of the intellectuals in educating and guiding their people. It adds that the history of journalism in the country can be traced to a group of men who are devoted to letters wherein the first newspaper in the country was entitled "Hadikat al-Akhbar" (The Garden of News), which was published by Khalil el-Khuri on January 1, 1858. Moreover, it mentions that the country's newspapers emanate in times of crises.

Abstract
The article discusses the beginnings of academic journals in the field of business in the United States. The author investigates publications from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The first businesspaper published in the United States was "The New York Prices Current," founded in 1795. "The Boston Prices Current and Marine Intelligencer, Commercial and Mercantille," later to be known as the "Boston Gazette" was also founded in 1795. The author contends that these publications were very generalized and covered all aspects of trade and commerce. More specialized publications began to appear after 1839, with the "Hunt's Merchants' Magazine And Commercial Review." By 1850, he says business journals had developed into useful tools for businesses and professional workers.
