Energy is one of the most important components of human life. In the livestock industry, problems occur when there is a power outage so that the incubator cannot function. Solar energy is one of the renewable energy sources that convert solar radiation into electricity based on the photovoltaic effect and can be a solution to the above problems. In addition, another problem is that the egg incubator used by farmers still uses a manual system, the solution to the problem by utilizing IoT technology for monitoring and control systems for temperature, humidity, and egg rotation. the purpose of the research is to develop a smart incubator system to automate IoT-based temperature, humidity, and egg rotation systems so that they can be monitored more effectively using solar power as a power source. This research uses observational and quantitative methods with data collection techniques carried out through observation. The result of this research is the design of an IoT-based automatic incubator system using 30 WP solar panels as an energy source. In the measurement of the temperature monitoring IoT system in real-time, an error value of 0.93 was obtained with a temperature accuracy value of 99.07 which was declared very good, in the blynk test with a thermometer an error value of 2.92 was obtained with an accuracy value of 97.08 which was declared very good, in the humidity test an error value of 6.9 was obtained with an accuracy value of 93.1 which was declared quite good.

Greenhouses, often composed of plastic or glass structures, play a fundamental role in optimizing the environmental conditions essential for successful plant cultivation, ultimately resulting in higher-quality crop yields. The study aims to develop a realtime monitoring and control system for a smart mini greenhouse utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT), with a specific focus on cultivating spinach. The monitoring system is constructed around an ESP32 microcontroller, complemented by a DHT22 sensor for accurate air temperature and humidity measurements, and an RTC DS3231 timer for scheduling tasks. The DHT22 sensor's set point values trigger the fan and misting system operations. The fan activates when the air temperature reaches 32°C, while the misting system turns on when humidity levels (RH) reach 55%. The ESP32 is the central processing unit, enabling internet connectivity through Wi-Fi for real-time data monitoring via the Blynk application. Sensor calibration confirms the system's precision, with regression analyses producing impressive R² values of 0.989 and 0.952. The shading net control system operates four hours daily, from 11:00 to 15:00 WIB (Western Indonesian Time), optimizing the greenhouse environment. This well-executed system leads to the robust growth of spinach plants, reaching a height of 23.02 cm, sprouting nine leaves, and attaining a weight of 10 grams. The findings from this study highlight the efficiency and effectiveness of the smart mini greenhouse's monitoring and control system, offering promising applications in broader greenhouse management and crop cultivation practices. With the development of technology and the continuous operation of direct current transmission projects， condensers with large-capacity are gradually used in converter stations. Due to the variety of grid connection modes of the condenser connected to the converter station and the operation characteristics of the condenser， it is special in the system relay protection configuration， the parameter selection of current transformer， the monitoring system scheme and the interface design. Based on the previous engineering experience and the engineering practice of the converter station construction， this paper analyzes the key problems of secondary system design for the condenser connected to the converter station. This paper puts forward the general principles of the design of secondary system， the system relay protection configuration and typical design schemes under different main wiring modes，and the co-construction scheme of the monitoring and control system， as well as the interface problems that need to be focused on， which provides technical references for the engineering design of the condenser project in the future.

This study investigated baler load monitoring and automatic adjustment of bale density. A load monitoring and bale density adjustment system was developed for a wheeled self-propelled square baler. To realize the proposed system, a hydraulic circuit and a weighing device were designed, a bale density control program was developed, and a bale density control model was established. Bench tests were performed to obtain the relationships among the feed quantity of the baler, the load of the hydraulic cylinder on the compression chamber sidewall, the bale density, the piston’s compression force, the bale weight, and the degree of bale compression. The relationships among the operating parameters provided basic data for baler load monitoring and intelligent control of bale density. Field tests showed that when the bale density threshold was set at 5 kg m-3 and the allowable deviation was 2 kg m-3, the coarse adjustment time was less than 5 s, and the adjustment deviation of the bale density was within 5% as a whole, while most of the deviations were within 3%. The results demonstrate that the proposed control system can realize automatic adjustment of bale density according to user requirements within the allowable range. This article provides an overview of two variants of Li-ion battery models. It is shown that an empirical model based on the equivalent circuit is the most common, simple to implement, and flexible in terms of scaling for modeling special phenomena in secondary batteries. The parameters of the model are nonstationary, subject to both the aging process of the battery, and variations on the state of charge and temperature. The most promising way to improve the models for a new generation of battery-management systems is by using physical models that quantitatively describe electrochemical phenomena in a battery. This paper shows an experimental application case to convert a part of the grid formed by renewable generation sources, storage systems, and loads into a smart microgrid. This transformation will achieve greater efficiency and autonomy in its management. If we add to this the analysis of all the data that has been recorded and the correct management of the energy produced and stored, we can achieve a reduction in the electricity consumption of the distribution grid and, with this, a reduction in the associated bill. To achieve this transformation in the grid, we must provide it with intelligence. To achieve this, a four steps procedure are proposed: identification and description of the elements, integration of the elements in the same data network, establishing communication between the elements and the control system, creating an interface that allows control of the entire network. The microgrid of CEDER-CIEMAT (Renewable Energy Centre in Soria, Spain) is presented as a real case study. This centre is made up of various sources of generation, storage, and consumption. All the elements that make up the microgrid are incorporated into free software, Home Assistant, allowing real-time control and monitoring of all of them thanks to the intelligence that has been provided to the grid. The novelty of this paper is that it describes a procedure that is not reported in the current literature and that, being developed with Home Assistant, is free and allows the control and management of a microgrid from any device (mobile, PC) and from any place, even though not on the same data network as the microgrid. A new mathematical model of the intelligent access monitoring and control system based on the cybernetic approach is proposed for solving the problems of vehicle access to the territory of an organization. The distinctive feature of the mathematical model is the ability to take into account and recognize normal and abnormal situations at the protected object and develop control actions. To localize vehicles and recognize their license plates, the composition of traditional methods of image processing and two-pass classification performed by the developed modified architecture of convolutional neural network MobileNet is offered. The composition allows to define additional identification features of the object. The proposed adaptations allow to recognize the situation in real time with low computational costs and high accuracy. The natural experiment has shown that the integration of the modern hardware means and algorithms of object detection and recognition, even in the rough conditions of street closed-circuit television monitoring, provides not less than 96% accuracy, and the processing time of one frame is not more than 0.094 s based on the Nvidia GeForce 1080Ti graphic processor. High recognition accuracy without loss of speed in the real-time mode is achieved by integrating the modern hardware means and the algorithms of object detection and recognition. Nowadays, urbanization has become a trend, and the realization of urbanization cannot be separated from the implementation of various projects. In the process of project implementation, the most critical issue is safety, so it is extremely necessary to monitor the project safety. Traditional manual monitoring cannot meet the development of today's project, and the design of an automatic monitoring system for project safety has become a hot spot. In this paper, based on image processing and monitoring technology, and engineering safety monitoring and control system based on image quality analysis is studied, which can detect the engineering safety in real-time. Firstly, the image acquisition equipment is used to collect engineering images, and image processing is carried out to improve the image quality. Secondly, the convolutional neural network is used to realize image security analysis and detect the unsafe risk in engineering. Finally, combined with network technology, the automatic monitoring and control system of engineering safety based on image quality analysis is realized. Through simulation analysis, it is found that image processing can effectively remove noise and other interference and improve image quality. And the convolutional neural network can effectively detect the safety problems in the project, which shows that the design and implementation of the project safety monitoring and control system, it can achieve real-time safety monitoring in the implementation of the project, and has a good application effect in the project safety monitoring. With the continuous development of the mining industry, the world’s major mines have gradually entered the intelligent stage. In intelligent underground mines, the operation roads of the underground transportation equipment are very complicated, and the monitoring and control of the underground traffic have become the problems to be solved in the intelligent underground mines. Therefore, on the basis of solving the practical problems of underground mines, the concept paper discusses the possibility of the communication-based train control (CBTC) system being applied to underground mines through the summary and induction of the related literature. As mining engineers, we have proposed the function design for the CBTC system to solve the problems in underground mine rail transportation, but we still need to continue to work hard for the future development of the underground mines. The concept paper serves as a guide to the Tossing out a brick to get a jade gem, and it has implications for the development and the future of underground mine transportation.

Laundry service is one of the non-medical support services that carries out hospital linen management. Linen handling is necessary to prevent nosocomial and cross-infection, so it provides satisfaction and comfort for the patient. The results of preliminary study at X Hospital show that linen-loss incident was as much as 3.4%. This study aims to identify linen-loss problem and propose improvement suggestion through Lean Six Sigma approach. The research was conducted by integrating Lean and Six Sigma methods. Lean Six Sigma method is a systemic and systematic approach to identify and eliminate waste through continuous improvement in the flow of products (materials, work-in-processes, and output) and information using pull systems to achieve quality and excellence. Lean Six Sigma approach uses DMAIC Method (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control). The define stage was conducted with Focus Group Discussion (FGD), the obtained results is 'monitoring and control system in linen management to reduce linen loss' as a prioritized problem in Linen and Laundry Unit. Measure phase obtained low achievement of Minimum Service Standard on Laundry Service because there was still linen-loss incident as much as 3.4%. Analyze phase was done using Root Cause Analysis by making Ishikawa diagram (Fishbone) through questionnaires with Likert-scale, followed by arranging alternative solutions using Mc. Namara filtering theory. The selected solutions were creating procedures and a monitoring and control system document, as well as dissemination of linen-loss monitoring and control system. Improve phase was done by creating a handbook of linen-loss monitoring and control system consisting of four standard operating procedures in the Linen Room (Requirement Fulfillment SOP, Procurement SOP, Storage SOP, and Usage SOP), a standard operating procedure in Laundry Room (Distribution SPO), and eight supporting documents (linen inventory card, linen stock card, linen distribution form, linen checklist, dirty linen checklist, outgoing linen checklist, substitution form, and linen monthly report). The fifth phase (control) was to conduct short-term and long-term implementation evaluations. Short-term implementation is implemented for two weeks. Short-term implementation evaluations were performed by calculating a four-day Minimum Service Standard achievement by observing total linen on linen stock cards, linen checklists, dirty linen checklists, and linen distribution forms. Evaluation results obtained achievement of 100% Minimum Service Standard. Long-term implementation was carried out through creating Plan of Action (POA) covering the preparation, implementation and three-month and six-month evaluation. Lean Six Sigma approach in reducing linen loss is done through the application of linen-loss monitoring and control system. This system consists of five standard operating procedures and eight supporting documents. With recent adoption of Wireless Sensor-Actuator Networks (WSANs) in industrial automation, wireless control systems have emerged as a frontier of industrial networks. Hence, it has been shown that existing standards and researches concentrate on the reliability and real-time performance of WSANs. The multipath retransmission scheme with multiple channels is a key approach to guarantee the deterministic wireless communication. However, the efficiency of resource scheduling is seldom considered in applications with diverse data sampling rates. In this paper, we propose an efficient resources scheduling algorithm for multipath retransmission in WSANs. The objective of our algorithm is to improve efficiency and schedulability for the use of slot and channel resources. In detail, the proposed algorithm uses the approaches of CCA (clear channel assessment)-Embedded slot and Multiple sinks with Rate Monotonic scheme (CEM-RM) to decrease the number of collisions. We have simulated and implemented our algorithm in hardware and verified its performance in a real industrial environment. The achieved results show that the proposed algorithm significantly improves the schedulability without trading off reliability and real-time performance.

Based on Internet and ZigBee wireless sensor networks, in this paper, we describe a novel power-monitoring system architecture that makes the mobile deployment of power-monitoring points quite easy and applicable to diverse power-monitoring targets. Specifically, we have designed a novel power-monitoring server (PMS) to serve as the operational core of the proposed architecture. The PMS can monitor, record, display, and manage the power consumption information of general equipment and power facilities. It can also actively detect if the power consumption is over a preset threshold and promptly send warning messages to power management personnel through mobile phone messages and e-mails. In addition, we have developed six types of wire or wireless portable power-monitoring devices (PMDs) that can be used to monitor a variety of targets, such as general equipment, traditional distribution boxes, and new distribution boxes with digital meters and can be deployed in different environments. Finally, a paradigm power-monitoring system has been constructed to monitor the power consumption of the campus at Chung Cheng Institute of Technology, National Defense University, to validate the feasibility and practicality of the proposed PMS architecture. The research results in this paper provide an effective solution to the problem that the existing PMSs may not be applicable to different environments and did not take diverse monitoring targets into consideration. This paper presents a real case implementation of a proportional integral derivative controller (PID) into a building energy management system (BEMS). The case study building was done in the ICPE Office Building located in Bucharest, Romania. The goal of the implementation was to improve the indoor comfort level and maximize the energy efficiency of the heating system of the building. The algorithms developed are based on a series of chained PID control loops that manage the modularity of different heating system components. Also a parallel PID control loop was developed to further improve energy savings in the south area of the building. With the implementation of all PID's control loop the heating system has an increased efficiency based on modulating the heating source from district heating system (DHS) and modulating the heating distribution into the building. Introduction: This paper presents a monitoring and control system prototype using the internet protocol (IP) for a residential lighting layout. The prototype aims to develop energy efficiency processes by reducing electric energy consumption without decreasing user comfort and quality of life. Methods: The system is based on a web application to remotely turn the power on and off, which enables the monitoring of its consumption while being grounded in a prospective analysis. The prototype has hardware and software components. Results: The prototype has hardware is implemented with the Arduino® platform, which enables the assignment of an IP address using an Ethernet Shield card. This address provides bidirectional communication possibilities. The device is connected by a data acquisition system, which is designed and constructed to measure energy consumption from voltage and current measurements using an ADE7763® integrated circuit and an ACS714® current sensor. In this physical structure, a web application has been developed to monitor consumption and develop a control process with communication protocols through power line communication (PLC). Conclusions: The main contributions of this investigation are grounded in the use of economics and small devices that will enable low-cost energy-efficient project development in both domestic and industrial electric installations. In view of problem of false data existed in coal mine monitoring and control system, the paper summed up main causes of false data of coal mine monitoring and control system through field investigation, testing and analyzing, pointed out surge interference of power cable in roadway is the most main cause. It put forward main technical measures to remove the false data, concrete measures of anti-interference measures for power cable surge, and proposed method of using substation software to filter false data by identifying change rate of data.

An analysis of circuit designs as to connecting a magnetic pulse action tool to a power source has been carried out. Design features of a magnetic pulse installation control and monitoring system in a multiple current pulse mode have been revealed. The description of the control and monitoring system block diagrams has been presented.

Тhe paper describes a new pilot-scale biogas plant of the Institute of Microbiology - Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The equipment includes: a 100 L pilot bioreactor, a 200 L metal gasholder, sensors, actuators, a two-level automatic process monitoring and control system, a fire and explosion protection system and two web cameras. The monitoring and control system is composed on the lower level of a controller Beckhoff, and on the higher level - of a PC with specialized software (under development). The pilot biogas plant is designed to work out and scale up various anaerobic digestion (AD) technologies based on different types of feedstock. All the data will be stored on the PC for quick reference and possibly data mining, parameter identification and verification of different AD mathematical models.

Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) is an in situ technique to recover the fuel or feedstock value of coal that is noteconomically available through conventional recovery technologies. First tentative works directed toward the utilization of the in situmethod of gasification under conditions of Northern Bohemian brown-coal basin date back to 1956 in formerly Czechoslovakia.6 experiments of UCG were realized later. The obtained results did not confirm the technological assumptions of gasification especiallyregarding the quality of the gas recovered. The average heating capacity reached the value from 1.59 – 3.44 MJ.m-3. Today, similarly allother countries in the world, in Slovakia there is an interest in the revival and perfection of the UCG technology. In this paperit is described a laboratory plant including monitoring and controlling system and some reached results.During these experiments were find out that the gasification process depends on many factors/parameters. Most the important aretopologies/methods, humidity of coal, heat losses, temperatures in relevant zones, composition of oxidation agents and permeability.The calorific value of syngas is 2 - 5 MJ.m-3 if the oxidation agent was used air only. In case of using the air + oxygen mix the calorificvalue to 10 MJ.m-3 has been obtained.

The non-weighing lysimeter system in the Minqin desert areas was firstly used in the 1970 s, and mainly performed the orientation research on the water consumption by the transpiration of several desert plants and the evaporation on the surface of sand, which aimed to provide the theoretical guide for the selection of afforestation density and the utilization of sand and water in Chinese sand areas. At present the system has been running for 30 years, most of the lysimeters showed the jam and leakage phenomenon, and the observation was by conventional artificial means. All the factors seriously affected the accuracy of the data monitoring. However, on the basis of the non-weighing lysimeter system structure and its testing principle, the evapotranspiration area could be extended, the capacity of testing soil column could be increased, more real natural environment conditions could be simulated and the limitations of weighing lysimeter could be overcome, in sum, the lysimeter’s application field and adaptability were extended. Owing to the problems of low automation, and lack of scalability and reliability, the non-weighed lysimeter monitoring and control system in the Minqin desert areas has been retrofitted to improve its performance based on structure characteristics. The non-weighed lysimeter proving ground of 720 m2 was designed in Minqin sand areas, where 30 individual lysimeters (120 cm×120 cm) of desert plant were upgraded and 12 small groups of desert plant lysimeters (400 cm×400 cm) were expanded and built, at the same time, the lysimeter groups in different types could be used to carry out the test of water supply for plant under the constant water level of 190, 290 and 390 cm. The lysimeter proving ground upgraded and expanding-built could realize synchronous observation for evapotranspiration test from the desert plant individual scale to small group scale, and the experiment platform was provided for studying water consumption of desert plants transpiration in different scale and its coupling relationship. The distributed monitoring scheme was adopted in the new automatic monitoring system, in which the superior industrial computer was set up as the center with multiple lower machine monitoring points, such as lysimeter constant water level control and water-supplying measurement system, drainage measurement system, atmospheric precipitation monitoring system, soil moisture monitoring system, environment temperature measurement and control system, SMS cat alarm system, data remote transmission and monitoring system, and UPS over-voltage protection system, and the RS485 bus, ISM wireless communication and TCP/IP network structure were used in the system. The automatic control of the lysimeter water level, water supply and drainage, the automatic monitoring of water metering, and the soil water content were designed, and the atmospheric rainfall and the temperature indoor were monitored in real time in the new system; the system also had the functions of real-time data collection and processing, information communication and data entering, historical data storage, data report printing and remote transmission download, and the power supply system was protected against over-voltage to enhance the reliability of system operation and the stability of data acquisition. Additionally, the internet-based remote monitoring and control system was used, and the users could process the abnormal situation. According to the monitoring data analysis by the regression method, we could know that the errors of data regression analysis were ±2.2% for the pressure sensor, ±2.0% for the drop counter and ±12.5% for the moisture sensors. Recently, various studies have been conducted to stabilize food production and improve product quality and energy saving efficiency in the face of climate change by integrating ICT (Information and Communication Technology) into existing agricultural technologies. A representative example of this technology, the fully artificial plant factory, facilitates a high degree of environment control and growth prediction based on the cultivation environment and monitoring of crop growth, and has the advantage that environment-friendly crops are cultured. However, the concept has met difficulties in entering the market due to the large investment in facilities and expensive operation costs involved. There are many considerations, including calculating the optimal environment parameters for plants, designing and controlling artificial lights characterized by high-level efficiency and low power consumption, and selecting value-added crops. Among others parameters, those of the optimal environment may be utilized as a very important input element for maximizing plant growth and minimizing energy injection costs. To this end, data, including those related to environment, growth, and energy, will be monitored in real time, and integration management systems will be developed in advance to realize the effective control of connected devices based on the concept of the fully artificial plant factory. However, existing systems are designed for horticultural facilities and have been operated by simply monitoring environment or growth information or individually controlling each device through different interface environments, without considering the energy consumption of the devices. The purpose of this study is to design a method for monitoring in real time integrated environment and growth data and the energy consumption of the devices in a fully artificial plant factory, and to design and implement a plant factory integration management system that actively controls devices based on these data. In the future, the environment/growth/energy data collected from sensors in the proposed system will allow the optimal environment parameters to be calculated for each crop through correlation analysis and each device to be integrated and controlled, contributing to an increase in crop productivity and quality, as well as overall energy consumption efficiency in the plant factory. In addition, the database information collected from the system and then processed will be useful as input data for the integrated database of the SSN (Social Sensor Network) or the intelligent plant factory system. This study proposes a graphical human interface technology for use in mechatronics learning. This learning system elucidates, for students, the principles, function, and application of mechatronics, and also demonstrates the use of graphical monitoring and control technology. Students can, in advance, design a graphical monitor program to monitor and control mechatronics module. Students learn, verify, and acquire lectured concepts by performing mechatronics experiments in the laboratory. The most important part of the system is the implementation of the experimental module in laboratory sessions, using the graphical interface technology. The suitability of this technology of the laboratory concept is demonstrated in the Department of Industrial Education and Technology at National Changhua University of Education. A Pulsed High Magnetic Field Facility (PHMFF) has been established in Wuhan National High Magnetic Field Center (WHMFC) and various protection measures are applied in its control system. In order to improve the reliability and robustness of the control system, the safety analysis of the PHMFF is carried out based on Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) technique. The function and realization of 5 protection systems, which include sequence experiment operation system, safety assistant system, emergency stop system, fault detecting and processing system and accident isolating protection system, are given. To promote the development of textile information, solve the present condition of the production information can not be integrated and share in the LAN, a production information monitoring and control system are developed. First, the weaknesses that are from the existing computer monitoring system are analyzed, the structure model of system is designed via the techniques of database, network, communication and so on. Second, the technical problems in the system design process have been studied, and the corresponding solutions are proposed. Third, through the production monitoring and - control indexes, a system decision-making model is built by using the expert method and fuzzy control theory. With recent adoption of Wireless Sensor-Actuator Networks (WSANs) in industrial automation, wireless control systems have emerged as a frontier of industrial networks. Hence, it has been shown that existing standards and researches concentrate on the reliability and real-time performance of WSANs. The multipath retransmission scheme with multiple channels is a key approach to guarantee the deterministic wireless communication. However, the efficiency of resource scheduling is seldom considered in applications with diverse data sampling rates. In this paper, we propose an efficient resources scheduling algorithm for multipath retransmission in WSANs. The objective of our algorithm is to improve efficiency and schedulability for the use of slot and channel resources. In detail, the proposed algorithm uses the approaches of CCA (clear channel assessment)-Embedded slot and Multiple sinks with Rate Monotonic scheme (CEM-RM) to decrease the number of collisions. We have simulated and implemented our algorithm in hardware and verified its performance in a real industrial environment. The achieved results show that the proposed algorithm significantly improves the schedulability without trading off reliability and real-time performance.
