Introduction: Glioma represents the most prevalent primary malignant tumor in the central nervous system, a deeper understanding of the underlying molecular mechanisms driving glioma is imperative for guiding future treatment strategies. Emerging evidence has implicated a close relationship between glioma development and epigenetic regulation. However, there remains a significant lack of comprehensive summaries in this domain. This study aims to analyze epigenetic publications pertaining to gliomas from 2009 to 2024 using bibliometric methods, consolidate the extant research, and delineate future prospects for investigation in this critical area. Methods: For the purpose of this study, publications spanning the years 2009 to 2024 were extracted from the esteemed Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database. Utilizing advanced visualization tools such as CiteSpace and VOSviewer, comprehensive data pertaining to various aspects including countries, authors, author co-citations, countries/regions, institutions, journals, cited literature, and keywords were systematically visualized and analyzed. Results: A thorough analysis was conducted on a comprehensive dataset consisting of 858 publications, which unveiled a discernible trend of steady annual growth in research output within this specific field. The nations of the United States, China, and Germany emerged as the foremost contributors to this research domain. It is noteworthy that von Deimling A and the Helmholtz Association were distinguished as prominent authors and institutions, respectively, in this corpus of literature. A rigorous keyword search and subsequent co-occurrence analysis were executed, ultimately leading to the identification of seven distinct clusters: "epigenetic regulation", "DNA repair", "DNA methylation", "brain tumors", "diffuse midline glioma (DMG)", "U-87 MG" and "epigenomics". Furthermore, an intricate cluster analysis revealed that the primary foci of research within this field were centered around the exploration of glioma pathogenesis and the development of corresponding treatment strategies. Conclusion: This article underscores the prevailing trends and hotspots in glioma epigenetics, offering invaluable insights that can guide future research endeavors. The investigation of epigenetic mechanisms primarily centers on DNA modification, non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), and histone modification. Furthermore, the pursuit of overcoming temozolomide (TMZ) resistance and the exploration of diverse emerging therapeutic strategies have emerged as pivotal avenues for future research within the field of glioma epigenetics. Background: No effective drugs currently exist to cure Alzheimer's disease (AD) due to its complexity and the lack of understanding of the involved molecular signaling and pathways. The relationship between liver health and AD is now widely recognized. Still, molecular links and shared pathways between the liver and brain remain unclear, making the liver-brain axis in AD therapies a new area for exploration. However, bibliometric studies on this topic are lacking. Objective: This study aims to review the liver-brain axis in AD and identify future research hotspots and trends through bibliometric analysis. Methods: Articles and reviews related to AD and liver and its related diseases were searched in the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database up to 2024. Data were processed and visually analyzed using VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and Pajek. Results: We collected 1,777 articles on AD and liver and its related diseases from 2,517 institutions across 80 countries. Keyword cluster analysis identified 11 clusters, with 'insulin resistance,' 'amyloid-beta,' 'apolipoprotein-E,' 'oxidative stress,' and 'inflammation' appearing most frequently, and exhibiting strong total link strength. These results indicate that these topics have been the primary focus of research on the liver-brain axis in AD. Conclusions: This study is the first to comprehensively analyze the liver-brain axis in AD using bibliometric methods. Background: The genetic association between urticaria and mental disorders and whether inflammatory cytokines mediate this process remains unclear. Materials and methods: A Mendelian randomization (MR) approaches to elucidate the causal relationship between urticaria and mental disorders and to validate the mediation of inflammatory cytokines. Genome‐wide association study (GWAS) databases used were obtained from Psychiatric Genomics Cooperation (PGC), GWAS Catalog, and FinnGen Consortium. Our study was conducted using inverse variance weighted (IVW) and Bayesian weighted MR (BWMR) methods for joint analysis. Results: The MR results showed that urticaria increased the risk of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) (odds ratio [OR] =$ = $ 1.088, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.026–1.154, p=$ = $ 0.0051); cholinergic urticaria increased the risk of bipolar disorder (BD) (OR =$ = $ 1.012, 95% CI: 1.001–1.022, p=$ = $ 0.0274); dermatographic urticaria increased the risk of ADHD (OR =$ = $ 1.057, 95% CI: 1.005–1.112, p=$ = $ 0.0323); idiopathic urticaria increased the risk of schizophrenia (SCZ) (OR =$ = $ 1.057, 95% CI: 1.005–1.112, p=$ = $ 0.0323); other unspecified urticaria increased the risk of ADHD (OR =$ = $ 1.085, 95% CI: 1.023–1.151, p=$ = $ 0.0063). We found that eight inflammatory cytokines were negatively associated with mental disorders and seven inflammatory cytokines were positively associated with mental disorders. Finally, our results suggested that inflammatory cytokines do not act as mediators between urticaria and mental disorders. Conclusions: Our study reveals a causal relationship between urticaria and the increased risk of mental disorders. We suggest that the treatment of urticaria could incorporate psychiatric interventions and mental health assessment of patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: The link between allergic diseases and dementia remains controversial, and the genetic causality of this link is unclear. Objective: This study investigated the causal relationship between allergic diseases and dementia using univariate and multivariate Mendelian randomization (MR) methods. Methods: We selected genome-wide association studies including 66,645 patients with allergic diseases and 12,281 patients with dementia, with statistical datasets derived from the FinnGen Consortium of European origin. After a rigorous screening process for single nucleotide polymorphisms to eliminate confounding effects, MR estimation was performed mainly using the inverse variance weighting method and the MR-Egger method. Sensitivity analyses were performed using Cochran's Q test, MR-PRESSO test, MR Pleiotropy residuals and leave-one-out analysis. Results: Univariate and multivariate MR together demonstrated a causal relationship between atopic dermatitis and reduced vascular dementia (VaD) risk (OR = 0.89, 95% CI: 0.81–0.99, p = 0.031; OR = 0.85, 95% CI: 0.76–0.95, p = 0.003). MVMR confirmed asthma was associated with a reduction in the risk of Alzheimer's disease (AD) (OR = 0.82, 95% CI: 0.71–0.94, p = 0.005) and may be associated with a reduction in the risk of VaD (OR = 0.80, 95% CI: 0.65–0.99, p = 0.042); allergic rhinitis may be causally associated with an increased risk of AD (OR = 1.16, 95% CI: 1.00–1.35, p = 0.046) and VaD (OR = 1.29, 95% CI: 1.03–1.62, p = 0.027). In sensitivity analyses, these findings were reliable. Conclusions: MR methods have only demonstrated that allergic rhinitis dementia is associated with an increased risk of developing dementia. Previously observed associations between other allergic diseases and dementia may be influenced by comorbidities and confounding factors rather than causality. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to in-depth study the assembled track technology of rail transit with speed range from 80 to 250 km/h, assembled track refine analysis models were built and the related parameters were analyzed. Factors including train load factors, civil construction factors, curve paragraph track slave tension adjustment factors, and construction factors on track structural parameters were comprehensive considered. The results show that: (1) The length of the slab, the distance between the fasteners have less effects on slab force, and the slab force is reduced when the width and thickness of the track plate are increased. (2) The slab length for three speed levels is 4.7 m, and the thickness is unified as 0.2 m, the fastener spacing is suggested as 0.6 m. The class I speed grade slab width is proposed as 2.2 m, class H and M velocity grade are proposed as 2.5 m. (3) The track slab is a prestressed structure, and a circular hole is suggested set in the slab to serve as a stopper. (4) The assembled track is used in two layers and backroom layer. The middle layer of assembled ballastless track has significant effects in terms of structural force and durability. The mismatch of structural stiffness of each ballastless track layers may create and trigger track diseases. A micro-elastic isolation layer was proposed for the assembled ballastless track. By establishing a finite element model, the effects of micro-elastic isolation layers on mechanical properties of the track structure were analyzed. In addition to the isolation layer material trial, test and durability testing had been done. The result shows that: to improve the smoothness and reduce self-filled concrete stress of the assembled track comprehensively, the stiffness of micro-elastic isolation layer is recommended within the scope of 0.05 ~ 0.5 N/mm³; Ac cording to tests of the isolation layer, polyurethane isolation layer stiffness is stable after the load reaching a certain value, and the micro-elastic isolation layer is recommended to be made of polyurethane material; The service life of the polyurethane elastic pad is expected to be 61. 8 years based on the test of fatigue performance of polyurethane damping pads. Introduction: We carried out a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the safety and effectiveness of uterine artery embolization (UAE) compared with conventional hysterectomy on refractory postpartum hemorrhage (PPH).Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure database (CNKI), Cochrane Library, and Wanfang database through October 2017 for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and observational studies assessing the safety and effectiveness of UAE compared with hysterectomy on refractory PPH. The main outcome measures included the blood loss, operating time, hemostatic effective rate, and length of stay.Results: Six RCTs and nine observational studies were included in the meta-analysis, which involved 1142 women with refractory PPH. The results demonstrated that UAE was more beneficial on refractory PPH compared with hysterectomy using four scales: blood loss (WMD 893.39 mL; 95% CI: -1205.65, -581.13; p < .001); operating time (WMD -37.19 minutes; 95% CI: -44.42, -29.96; p < .001); length of stay (WMD -5.36 days; 95% CI: -5.76, -4.97; p < .001), hemostatic effective rate (OR 1.58, 95% CI: 0.80, 3.12, p = .184) .Conclusions: In the present meta-analysis, the positive findings suggest UAE has beneficial effects on refractory PPH. UAE significantly reduced blood loss, shortened the operating time, and length of stay compared with hysterectomy. And there is no difference between the UAE group and hysterectomy group in hemostatic effective rate. Rationale, aims, and objectives: Current meta‐analysis was conducted aiming to assess the efficacy and safety of recombinant human interleukin‐11 (rhIL‐11) in the treatment of acute leukaemia (AL) patients with chemotherapy‐induced thrombocytopenia (CIT). Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure database (CNKI), Cochrane Library, and Wan Fang Database on 4 July 2018. Results: Ten randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and two observational studies were included, which involved 754 AL patients with CIT. Pooled analysis demonstrated that rhIL‐11 was beneficial on CIT: recovery time of platelet count to 50 × 109/L [weight mean difference (WMD) = −4.19 days; 95% CI: −5.01, −3.37], recovery time of platelet count to 100 × 109/L (WMD = −4.45 days; 95% CI: −4.85, −4.06), platelet transfusion volume (WMD = −6.14 U; 95% CI: −9.20, −3.09), and the rate of haemorrhage (RR = 0.46; 95% CI: 0.36 to 0.61). Most adverse events associated with rhIL‐11 were mild to moderate. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that rhIL‐11 is effective and safe in the treatment of CIT in patients with AL.
