4. A catalogue of double-mode high amplitude $\delta$ Scuti stars in the Galaxy and their statistical properties

Abstract

We present the first catalogue of double-mode and multi-mode high amplitude $\delta$ Scuti star (HADS) in the Galaxy. The catalogue contains source name, coordinates, radial modes such as the fundamental (F, period P0), first-overtone (1O, period P1), second-overtone (2O, period P2), and the third-overtone (3O, period P3) if available, period ratios, magnitude, and the relevant literature. Totally, 155 sources were collected until March 2021, in which 142 HADS with double-mode (132 with F and 1O, and 10 with 1O and 2O), 11 triple-mode, and 2 quadruple-mode. Statistical analysis shows clear features: P0 lies in a range of 0.05 days to 0.175 days (sample: 132 double-mode HADS pulsating in F and 1O); P1/P0 lies in a range of 0.761 $-$ 0.787 (sample: 142 with P0 and P1), in which about 90\% in 0.765 $-$ 0.785, which is wider than previous studies. The Petersen diagram was created with a much larger sample (144 HADS with P0 and P1) and we find that stars with periods in 0.05 $-$ 0.1 days scatter largely from the updated linear relation (i.e., Eq.1), the reason of which however needs further investigation. Particularly, we discover that the ratio P2/P1 (sample: 21 HADS with P1 and P2) equals 0.802$\pm$0.004, which could be viewed as a possible indicator to identify the modes 1O and 2O for multi-mode HADS. Abstract

Macrocyclic conformations play a crucial role in regulating their properties. Our understanding of the determinants to control macrocyclic conformation interconversion is still in its infancy. Here we present a macrocycle, octamethyl cyclo[4](1,3-(4,6)-dimethylbenzene)[4]((4,6-benzene)(1,3-dicarboxylate) (OC-4), that can exist at 298 K as two stable atropisomers with C2v and C4v symmetry denoted as C2v-OC-4 and C4v-OC-4, respectively. Heating induces the efficient stepwise conversion of C2v- to C4v-OC-4 via a Cs-symmetric intermediate (Cs-OC-4). It differs from the typical transition state-mediated processes of simple C–C single bond rotations. Hydrolysis and further esterification with a countercation dependence promote the generation of C2v- and Cs-OC-4 from C4v-OC-4. In contrast to C2v-OC-4, C4v-OC-4 can bind linear guests to form pseudo-rotaxans, or bind C60 or C70 efficiently. The present study highlights the differences in recognition behavior that can result from conformational interconversion, as well as providing insights into the basic parameters that govern coupled molecular rotations. The three-dimensional conformation of macrocycles determine their chemical and recognition properties and the factors that influence the interconversion between macrocyclic forms are poorly understood. Abstract

Radiological heart damage (RIHD) is damage caused by unavoidable irradiation of the heart during chest radiotherapy, with a long latency period and a progressively increasing proportion of delayed cardiac damage due to conventional doses of chest radiotherapy. There is a risk of inducing diseases such as acute/chronic pericarditis, myocarditis, delayed myocardial fibrosis and damage to the cardiac conduction system in humans, which can lead to myocardial infarction or even death in severe cases. This paper details the pathogenesis of RIHD and gives potential targets for treatment at the molecular and cellular level, avoiding the drawbacks of high invasiveness and immune rejection due to drug therapy, medical device implantation and heart transplantation. Injectable hydrogel therapy has emerged as a minimally invasive tissue engineering therapy to provide necessary mechanical support to the infarcted myocardium and to act as a carrier for various bioactive factors and cells to improve the cellular microenvironment in the infarcted area and induce myocardial tissue regeneration. Therefore, this paper combines bioactive factors and cellular therapeutic mechanisms with injectable hydrogels, presents recent advances in the treatment of cardiac injury after RIHD with different injectable gels, and summarizes the therapeutic potential of various types of injectable hydrogels as a potential solution. Abstract

The research aims to develop an original product design using elements of intangible cultural heritage (ICH). It attempts to evaluate the attractiveness of design with elements of ICH in individual countries and on the world stage. A Master of Art History from Korea National University of Arts participated in the analysis and research of ICH objects. Based on the Gmarket online store, the authors conducted fake door testing to determine the attractiveness of this design for consumers. The method of paired comparisons allowed the authors to assess the attractiveness of a design with the ICH elements on the world stage. Following the project's objectives, the study demonstrated 211 thousand views of the product page with the developed design and 767 thousand views of pages with similar products during one calendar month.
