Abstract Background Several malreduction criteria have been proposed for ankle surgery, but the criteria of most importance for functional outcome remain undetermined. Furthermore, the acute inflammatory response in the ankle joint after fracture is hypothesized to result in osteoarthritis development, but no study has investigated the correlation between the levels of these inflammatory cytokines and post-surgical functional outcomes. We aimed to identify malreduction criteria and inflammatory cytokines associated with functional outcome after ankle surgery. Methods During surgery, synovial fluid from the fractured and healthy contralateral ankles of 46 patients was collected for chemiluminescence analysis of 22 inflammatory cytokines and metabolic proteins. The quality of fracture reduction was based on 9 criteria on plain X-rays and 5 criteria on weight-bearing computed tomography (WBCT) scans. After 3 and 12 months, we recorded scores on American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) scale, the Danish version of Foot Function Index (FFI-DK), EQ-5D-5L index score, the Kellgren-Lawrence score, and joint space narrowing. Results Tibiofibular (TF) overlap (p = 0.02) and dime sign (p = 0.008) correlated with FFI-DK. Tibiotalar tilt correlated positively with joint space narrowing at 3 months (p = 0.01) and 12 months (p = 0.03). TF widening correlated with FFI-DK (p = 0.04), AOFAS (p = 0.02), and EQ-5D-5L (p = 0.02). No consistent correlations between synovial cytokine levels and functional outcomes were found at 12 months. Conclusions Malreduction of TF overlap, TF widening, and tibiotalar tilt were the most important criteria for functional outcome after ankle surgery. Increased inflammatory cytokine levels after fracture did not affect functional outcome at 12 months. Abstract Background Patients with intra-articular fractures tend to develop post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA). The initial inflammatory response with elevation of inflammatory cytokines following joint trauma might be responsible for triggering cartilage catabolism and degradation. We aimed to identify and quantify cytokine levels in fractured and healthy knee joints and the correlation of these cytokines with clinical outcomes. Methods In this prospective cohort study, synovial fluid and plasma were collected from 12 patients with proximal intra-articular tibia fractures before surgery. The concentration of sixteen inflammatory cytokines, two cartilage degradation products and four metabolic mediators where measured, comparing the acute injured knee with the healthy contralateral knee. Patients were evaluated 3- and 12-months after surgery with clinical parameters and radiographical scanning. Non-parametrical Wilcoxon rank-sum and Spearman tests were used for statistical analysis, and a P-value below 0.05 was considered significant. Results We found an elevation of the pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1β, IL-2, IL-6, IL-8, IL-12p70, TNF-α, IFN-y, MMP-1, MMP-3, and MMP-9 and a simultaneous elevation of the anti-inflammatory cytokines IL-1RA, IL-4, IL-10, and IL-13 in the injured knee. Several pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines and metabolic mediators were correlated with clinical outcomes 12 months after surgery, especially with pain perception. Conclusions Our results support that an inflammatory process occurs after intra-articular knee fractures, which is characterized by the elevation of both pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines. There was no sign of cartilage damage within the timeframe from injury to operation. We found a correlation between the initial inflammatory reaction with clinical outcomes 12 months after surgery.

Introduction. Intra-articular fractures are the leading etiology for posttraumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) in the ankle. Elevation of proinflammatory cytokines following intra-articular fracture may lead to synovial catabolism and cartilage degradation. We aimed to compare cytokine levels in injured and healthy ankle joints, examine the longer-term cytokine levels in fractured ankles, and investigate the association between cytokine levels in fractured ankles and plasma. Materials and Methods. In this cross-sectional study, synovial fluid (SF) and plasma of forty-seven patients with acute intra-articular ankle fractures and eight patients undergoing implant removal were collected prior to surgery. We determined concentrations of sixteen inflammatory cytokines, two cartilage degradation proteins, and four metabolic proteins and compared the levels in acutely injured ankles with those of the healthy contralateral side or during metal removal. Cytokine levels in injured ankles were also compared to serum cytokine levels. Nonparametric Wilcoxon rank-sum and Spearman tests were used for statistical analysis, and a p value below 0.05 was considered significant. Results. Compared to the healthy ankles, the synovial fluid in ankles with acute intra-articular fracture had elevated levels of several proinflammatory cytokines and proteases (IL-1β, IL-2, IL-6, IL-8, IL-12p70, TNF, IFNγ, MMP-1, MMP-3, and MMP-9) and anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1RA, IL-4, IL-10, and IL-13). The levels of cartilage degradation products (ACG, CTX-2) and metabolic mediators (TGF-β1 and TGF-β2) were also significantly higher. Synovial concentrations of ACG, IL-12-p70, IFNγ, IL-4, and bFGF correlated with serum levels. While most of the examined synovial cytokines were unchanged after implant removal, IL-4 and IL-6 levels were upregulated. Conclusions. We show that an acute ankle fracture is followed by an inflammatory reaction and cartilage degeneration. These data contribute to the current understanding of the protein regulation behind the development of PTOA and is a further step towards supplementing the current surgical treatment. Introduction: Intra-articular fractures are a major cause of post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA). Despite adequate surgical treatment, the long-term risk for PTOA is high. Previous studies reported that joint injuries initiate an inflammatory cascade characterized by an elevation of synovial pro-inflammatory cytokines, which can lead to cartilage degradation and PTOA development. This review summarizes the literature on the post-injury regulation of pro-inflammatory cytokines and the markers of cartilage destruction in patients suffering from intra-articular fractures. Methods: We searched Medline, Embase, and Cochrane databases (1960–February 2020) and included studies that were performed on human participants, and we included control groups. Two investigators assessed the quality of the included studies using Covidence and the Newcastle–Ottawa Scale. Results: Based on the surveyed literature, several synovial pro-inflammatory cytokines, including interleukins (IL)-1β, IL-2, IL-6, IL-8, IL-12p70, interferon-y, and tumor necrosis factor-α, were significantly elevated in patients suffering from intra-articular fractures compared to the control groups. A simultaneous elevation of anti-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-10 and IL-1RA was also observed. In contrast, IL-13, CTX-II, and aggrecan concentrations did not differ significantly between the compared cohorts. Conclusions: Overall, intra-articular fractures are associated with an increase in inflammation-related synovial cytokines. However, more standardized studies which focus on the ratio of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines at different time points are needed.

Background: Exposure to respirable dust (RES) and respirable crystalline silica (RCS) is common in mining operations and is associated with health effects such as pneumoconiosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial pulmonary fibrosis, silicosis, lung cancer, and renal disease. Methods: This study used industry occupational exposure data for respirable dust from two surface lithium mines in Western Australia for the period between 2017 and 2023. A total of 1122 samples were collected in workgroups across four departments - administration and support, mining, crushing and processing, and maintenance. Results: The study found that the overall RES concentration did not exceed the exposure standard. However, Crusher Dry/Wet Plant Personnel (0.558 mg/m3) and Workshop Boilermakers (0.842 mg/m3) recorded elevated exposure to RES. The highest mean exposures for RCS over the seven-year study period were measured for Management Administration & Technical (0.068 mg/m3), followed by Crusher Dry/Wet Plant Personnel (0.042 mg/m3), exceeding the ES. Maximum results for both RES (15.00 mg/m3) and RCS (2.50 mg/m3) indicated exceedances. Conclusion: The study demonstrated a decline in exposure to RES over the seven years of study from 0.472 mg/m3 to 0.151 mg/m3, with a slight increase in 2019 and 2022. A decline in the concentration of RCS was observed between 2019 -2021, followed by an increase after 2021. The mean concentration of RCS exceeded the exposure standard in 2023. Based on the study results and the established adverse health effects associated with exposure to silica, various control measuresto protect workers from RCS exposure should be considered.

The pressure of competitive higher education has affected most universities, and whether the utilization of human capital as a resource to foster creativity, increase motivation, and boost innovation is an important topic to investigate. This study aims to explore the relationship between the elements of transformational leadership, affective trust, and intrinsic motivation and their impact on creativity to increase the performance of lecturers at Vietnamese universities, where most of them are also creators. Quantitative research is applied with data collected from full-time lecturers at Vietnamese universities from December 2023 to January 2024. The hypothesized correlations were investigated using structural equation modeling on a sample of 311 participants in Vietnam. The findings reveal substantial causal correlations between transformational leadership, affective trust, intrinsic motivation's determinants, and the creativity to improve performance and positive behavior from the lecturers' perspective. These results imply that leaders should focus on the prefix role of transformational leadership, which is the origin of affective trust, intrinsic motivation, and creativity, to raise the standard of higher education. In particular, affective trust needs more attention because it has the most vital mediating role in enhancing the impact of transformational leadership on lecturers' creativity. Abstract We previously described a two-component protein nanoparticle vaccine platform that displays 60 copies of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein RBD (RBD-NP). The vaccine, when adjuvanted with AS03, was shown to elicit robust neutralizing antibody and CD4 T cell responses in Phase I/II clinical trials, met its primary co-endpoints in a Phase III trial, and has been licensed by multiple regulatory authorities under the brand name SKYCovioneTM. Here we characterize the biophysical properties, stability, antigenicity, and immunogenicity of RBD-NP immunogens incorporating mutations from the B.1.351 (β) and P.1 (γ) variants of concern (VOCs) that emerged in 2020. We also show that the RBD-NP platform can be adapted to the Omicron strains BA.5 and XBB.1.5. We compare β and γ variant and E484K point mutant nanoparticle immunogens to the nanoparticle displaying the Wu-1 RBD, as well as to soluble prefusion-stabilized (HexaPro) spike trimers harboring VOC-derived mutations. We find the properties of immunogens based on different SARS-CoV-2 variants can differ substantially, which could affect the viability of variant vaccine development. Introducing stabilizing mutations in the linoleic acid binding site of the RBD-NPs resulted in increased physical stability compared to versions lacking the stabilizing mutations without deleteriously affecting immunogenicity. The RBD-NP immunogens and HexaPro trimers, as well as combinations of VOC-based immunogens, elicited comparable levels of neutralizing antibodies against distinct VOCs. Our results demonstrate that RBD-NP-based vaccines can elicit neutralizing antibody responses against SARS-CoV-2 variants and can be rapidly designed and stabilized, demonstrating the potential of two-component RBD-NPs as a platform for the development of broadly protective coronavirus vaccines.

Chronic compression of the left common iliac vein (CIV) by the right common iliac artery (CIA) or May-Thurner syndrome is rare and could be challenging to diagnose. The phenomenon results in chronic left lower extremity vein thrombosis. In this report, we present a 33-year-old female with pain and swelling in her left inner thigh for 2 days. She denied any systemic signs or any remarkable past medical history. Doppler ultrasonography revealed large blood clots extending from the left femoral and great saphenous veins to the upper part of the external iliac vein, causing a nearly complete obstruction. CT venography showed compression of the left CIV near the confluence by the right CIA and the lumbar vertebrae L4. She was managed by catheter-directed thrombolysis with alteplase via a superior vena cava catheter. Subsequently, a left CIV self-expanding stent was successfully placed. Follow-up demonstrated a positive outcome without any complications.

Objective: This study aims to determine the frequency of pathogen detection by real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR), the frequency of pathogen isolation by culture; and compare the value of real-time PCR and culture of nasopharyngeal aspiration samples in patients with severe community-acquired pneumonia (sCAP). Materials and Methods: It was a prospective and descriptive study. All pediatric patients diagnosed with sCAP were performed real-time PCR and culture of nasopharyngeal aspiration samples. Results: A total of 336 patient samples were obtained from children with sCAP. Real-time PCR detected pathogens in 312 patients (92.9%), while culture isolated bacteria in 228 patients (67.9%). Coinfections were reported in 279 cases (83.0%) through real-time PCR. The frequency of agreement between culture and real-time PCR was quite high (P < .001). Conclusion: Real-time PCR demonstrated more ability for detecting microorganisms than culture. This finding highlighted the value of real-time PCR for targeting pathogens in children with sCAP, particularly in cases involving complex pathogens or those requiring timely identification.

A facile approach was employed to fabricate MIL-100(Fe) materials from Fe2O3 nanoparticles through a conventional hydrothermal reaction without the presence of HF and HNO3. Effects of trimesic acid content in the reaction system on the quality and CO2/N2 separation performance of the as-prepared MIL-100(Fe) samples were investigated. Using 1.80 g of trimesic acid in the reaction system yielded the sample M-100Fe@Fe2O3#1.80, which proved to be the optimal sample. This choice struck a balance between the amount of required trimesic acid and the quality of the resulting material, resulting in a high yield of 81% and an impressive BET surface area of 1365.4 m2·g−1. At 25 °C and 1 bar, M-100Fe@Fe2O3#1.80 showed a CO2 adsorption capacity of 1.10 mmol·g−1 and an IAST-predicted CO2/N2 selectivity of 18, outperforming conventional adsorbents in CO2/N2 separation. Importantly, this route opens a new approach to utilizing Fe2O3-based waste materials from the iron and steel industry in manufacturing Fe-based MIL-100 materials.

Modifying activated carbon with nanosilver to increase the antibacterial ability of this water treatment material has been known for many years. The addition of stirring or ultrasound during the preparation process has contributed to improving the properties and stability of nanosilver and nanosilver-coated activated carbon, but they haven’t been combined. In this study, silver nanoparticles and nanosilver-coated activated carbon were prepared with D-glucose as a reducing agent and using magnetic stirring, followed by ultrasound. The properties of the nanosilver solution and coated activated carbon were analyzed to evaluate the effect of preparation conditions on material properties. The results showed that increasing the concentration of silver solution led to an increase in the amount of nanoparticles coated on the activated carbon surface and the nanoparticle size in the solution. In contrast, increasing the stirring speed or incorporating ultrasound reduced nanosilver aggregation, leading to a more uniform distribution of nanoparticles on the activated carbon surface. Antibacterial testing of the material was conducted on a column model, and the E. coli removal efficiency reached over 99.99 %.

Objective This study aimed to distinguish chest pain characteristics between patients with and without acute coronary syndrome (ACS) at Vietnam National Heart Institute. Methods A case-control study using a structured chest pain assessment questionnaire was performed to examine pain characteristics. Results Smoking, a history of heart attack, and a family history of cardiovascular disease were associated with increased ACS-related chest pain risk. Patients without ACS more frequently reported left or central chest pain, mild discomfort, pain triggered by activity, and relief with rest or nitroglycerin. ACS-related chest pain was more often characterized by pain radiating to the back, a sensation of tightness or severe discomfort, gradual intensity increase, occurrence at rest or with minimal exertion, and accompanying sweating. No significant sex differences were found in ACS-related chest pain symptoms. Conclusions Targeted assessment of chest pain features—such as pain radiation, pressure sensation, symptom escalation, duration, activity triggers, and relief factors—could improve public awareness and support the development of educational resources on ACS and non-ACS symptoms.

Background. Intra-articular infections can rapidly lead to osteoarthritic degradation. The aim of this clinical biomarker analysis was to investigate the influence of inflammation on cartilage destruction and metabolism. Methods. Objectives The prevalence of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) has increased, particularly among individuals who have recovered from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection. Health literacy is considered a “social vaccine” that helps people respond effectively to the pandemic. We aimed to investigate the association between long COVID-19 and PTSD, and to examine the modifying role of health literacy in this association. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted at 18 hospitals and health centers in Vietnam from December 2021 to October 2022. We recruited 4,463 individuals who had recovered from COVID-19 infection for at least 4 weeks. Participants provided information about their sociodemographics, clinical parameters, health-related behaviors, health literacy (using the 12-item short-form health literacy scale), long COVID-19 symptoms and PTSD (Impact Event Scale-Revised score of 33 or higher). Logistic regression models were used to examine associations and interactions. Results Out of the study sample, 55.9% had long COVID-19 symptoms, and 49.6% had PTSD. Abstract Background The duplex kidney is one of the common congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract. We present two cases of renal tumor accompanied with ipsilateral duplex kidney. The image of the tumor, renal artery system and collecting system were rendered by AI software (Fujifilm’s Synapse® AI Platform) to support the diagnosis and surgical planning. Case presentation Two Vietnamese patients (a 45-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman) with incidental cT1 renal cell carcinoma (RCC) were confirmed to have ipsilateral duplex kidneys by 3D reconstruction AI technique. One patient had a Renal score 9ah tumor of left kidney while the other had a Renal score 9 × tumor of right kidney in which a preoperative CT scan failed to identify a diagnosis of duplex kidney. Using the Da Vinci platform, we successfully performed robotic partial nephrectomy without any damage to the collecting system in both cases. Conclusion RCC with duplex kidneys is a rare condition. By utilizing a novel AI reconstruction technique with adequate information, two patients with RCC in duplex kidneys were successfully performed robotic partial nephrectomy without complication.

The coupling of transcription and translation enables prokaryotes to regulate mRNA stability and reduce nonfunctional transcripts. Eukaryotes evolved other means to perform these functions. Here, we quantify the disparity between gene expression and protein levels and attempt to explain its origins. We collected publicly available simultaneous measurements of gene expression, protein level, division rate, and growth inhibition of breast cancer cells under drug perturbation. We used the cell lines as entities with shared origin, different evolutionary trajectories, and cancer hallmarks to define tasks subject to specializing and trading‐off. We observed varying average mRNA and protein correlation across cell lines, and it was consistently higher for the gene products in the cancer hallmarks. The enrichment of hallmark gene products signifies the resources invested in it as a task. Enrichment based on mRNA or protein abundance corresponds to the relative resources dedicated to transcription and translation. The differences in gene‐ and protein‐based enrichment correlated with nominal division rates but not growth inhibition under drug perturbations. Comparing the range of enrichment scores of the hallmarks within each cell signifies the resources dedicated to each. Cells appear to have a wider range of enrichment in protein synthesis relative to gene transcription. The difference and range of enrichment of the hallmark genes and proteins correlated with cell division and inhibition in response to drug treatments. We posit that cancer cells may express the genes coding for seemingly nonspecialized tasks but do not translate them to the corresponding proteins. This trade‐off may cost the cells under normal conditions but confer benefits during stress.

Abstract Tomography has had an important impact on the physical, biological, and medical sciences. To date, most tomographic applications have been focused on 3D scalar reconstructions. However, in some crucial applications, vector tomography is required to reconstruct 3D vector fields such as the electric and magnetic fields. Over the years, several vector tomography methods have been developed. Here, we present the mathematical foundation and algorithmic implementation of REal Space Iterative REconstruction for Vector tomography, termed RESIRE-V. RESIRE-V uses multiple tilt series of projections and iterates between the projections and a 3D reconstruction. Each iteration consists of a forward step using the Radon transform and a backward step using its transpose, then updates the object via gradient descent. Incorporating with a 3D support constraint, the algorithm iteratively minimizes an error metric, defined as the difference between the measured and calculated projections. The algorithm can also be used to refine the tilt angles and further improve the 3D reconstruction. To validate RESIRE-V, we first apply it to a simulated data set of the 3D magnetization vector field, consisting of two orthogonal tilt series, each with a missing wedge. Our quantitative analysis shows that the three components of the reconstructed magnetization vector field agree well with the ground-truth counterparts. We then use RESIRE-V to reconstruct the 3D magnetization vector field of a ferromagnetic meta-lattice consisting of three tilt series. Our 3D vector reconstruction reveals the existence of topological magnetic defects with positive and negative charges. We expect that RESIRE-V can be incorporated into different imaging modalities as a general vector tomography method. Maintaining a service continuum is crucial for providing a reliable service in an Internet-of-Things (IoT) system based on Network Function Virtualization (NFV) due to the distribution of Virtual Network Functions (VNF). We address the optimization problem of VNF migration in an NFV-enabled IoT system (NIoT), considering the dynamics of traffic volume processed by an individual IoT function. We develop an optimization model based on integer linear programming and a function traffic-aware heuristic algorithm to solve the problem. The evaluation results show that our proposed heuristic algorithm offers an approximation solution very close to the optimal VNF migration in significantly reduced time. It outperforms a benchmark solution based on Simulated Annealing in both the service restoration cost and computation time. Furthermore, our findings provide valuable insights into an investment strategy for an IoT service provider seeking to enhance the system performance in the presence of a failure.

Abstract Background Vietnam’s primary mechanism of achieving sustainable funding for universal health coverage (UHC) and financial protection has been through its social health insurance (SHI) scheme. Steady progress towards access has been made and by 2020, over 90% of the population were enrolled in SHI. In 2022, as part of a larger transition towards the increased domestic financing of healthcare, tuberculosis (TB) services were integrated into SHI. This change required people with TB to use SHI for treatment at district-level facilities or to pay out of pocket for services. This study was conducted in preparation for this transition. It aimed to understand more about uninsured people with TB, assess the feasibility of enrolling them into SHI, and identify the barriers they faced in this process. Methods A mixed-method case study was conducted using a convergent parallel design between November 2018 and January 2022 in ten districts of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Quantitative data were collected through a pilot intervention that aimed to facilitate SHI enrollment for uninsured individuals with TB. Descriptive statistics were calculated. Qualitative interviews were conducted with 34 participants, who were purposively sampled for maximum variation. Qualitative data were analyzed through an inductive approach and themes were identified through framework analysis. Quantitative and qualitative data sources were triangulated. Results We attempted to enroll 115 uninsured people with TB into SHI; 76.5% were able to enroll. On average, it took 34.5 days to obtain a SHI card and it cost USD 66 per household. The themes indicated that a lack of knowledge, high costs for annual premiums, and the household-based registration requirement were barriers to SHI enrollment. Participants indicated that alternative enrolment mechanisms and greater procedural flexibility, particularly for undocumented people, is required to achieve full population coverage with SHI in urban centers. Conclusions Significant addressable barriers to SHI enrolment for people affected by TB were identified. A quarter of individuals remained unable to enroll after receiving enhanced support due to lack of required documentation. The experience gained during this health financing transition is relevant for other middle-income countries as they address the provision of financial protection for the treatment of infectious diseases.

Efficient energy exploitation is a necessary issue because it helps reduce fuel consumption and environmental pollution. Finding the optimal ignition timing (IT) for diesel engines to create high power and efficiency deserves attention. This study utilizes AVL BOOST simulation software with the Vibe 2-Zone combustion model to investigate the effect of IT and combustion duration on engine characteristics such as power, torque, and brake-specific fuel consumption (BSFC) at different engine loads and speeds. Then, the prediction models of the optimal ITs versus combustion durations for maximum power and minimum BSPFC were computed. The results show that ITs strongly affect engine performance characteristics. The optimal ITs that the engine produces maximum power at different combustion durations are unaffected by engine load. In contrast, they are considerably influenced by engine load when considering the engine-generated BSFC. The correlations of optimal IT versus combustion duration are linear functions. The prediction models can be utilized to predict the optimal ignition timings of the engine since the experimental time can be reduced when applied to the actual engine.

This study expands the Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT) by developing a model that includes additional factors influencing career choices, such as self-efficacy, career exploration, and social support. A convenient sampling method was applied, with 340 Vietnamese students responding to the questionnaire on Google Forms between August and October 2022. The results supported the research hypotheses, with environmental exploration emerging as the most decisive factor influencing career choice. The most exciting finding of this article is the negative impact of social support on the relationship between environmental exploration and career choice. Finally, the results underscore the significance of implementing career guidance and providing career experiences for university students at educational institutions.

Abstract In the era of Industry 4.0, online entrepreneurship is gradually seen as an essential tool that brings innovative values to the integration and development of a country. The rapid failure of nascent businesses stemming from a lack of human capital directed this study to explore the role of students' knowledge and technological innovativeness in motivating students to form e-entrepreneurial intentions. Information collected from 405 students from universities in Vietnam via online questionnaires was analysed using SmartPLS 4 to test the relationships among seven factors proposed in the research model. The results show that entrepreneurial education and prior experiences are the foundation for improving students' perceived feasibility and usefulness, forming their entrepreneurial motivation. Next, entrepreneurial motivation becomes an important premise for promoting students' entrepreneurial intentions more effectively. Furthermore, the study found that students' technological innovativeness moderated the relationship between their entrepreneurial motivation and intention to set up a digital business.

Abstract Banks are the engine of the economy. Therefore, bank performance has a direct impact on the development and security of the entire economy. The main source of income for commercial banks comes from lending and capital mobilization activity. Competition in the banking industry is increasingly fierce, not only among domestic banks but also with foreign banks. Thus, banks are trying to diversify their income sources, especially from non-interest activity. Most previous studies study the relationship between the bank's income diversification and the increase in the proportion of income from non-interest products and services. However, the relationship between income diversification and bank scale has not been studied as much. This paper examines the relationship between income diversification and commercial bank size in Vietnam. The study applies a panel data regression model with a sample of 23 commercial banks in Vietnam in the period 2012–2020, using the generalized least squares method to overcome variable variance and autocorrelation in the research model. Our results show that bank size has a positive impact on the degree of income diversification. At the same time, size has a larger impact on income diversification at large banks than small banks. Therefore, smaller banks need to concentrate on developing modern technology systems as well as improving the quality of personnel and operating experience rather than investing in new products and services. Further research may expand to include commercial banks of countries or regions in order to get a deeper look at the impact of size and some economic factors on income diversification.

Abstract This study aims to provide in vitro and in vivo data to support the utilization of antinuclear antibodies (ANAs) as novel tools for the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancers. The hematological, biochemical, and histological toxicities of ANAs were assessed at the doses of 5 and 50 μg per mouse. Radiolabeling study was then conducted with ANA and 131I using the chloramine T method, and the biodistribution and treatment efficacy were subsequently investigated in a PC3 xenograft model. No changes in clinical behavior or signs of intoxication, necrosis, or malignancy were observed in ANA-treated mice. 131I-ANA was obtained in very high yield and radiochemical purity, at 94.97 ± 0.98% and 98.56 ± 0.29%, respectively. They achieved immunoreactivity fraction of 0.841 ± 0.17% with PC-3 cells. Levels of radiolabeled ANAs were 1.15–10.14 times higher in tumor tissues than in other examined organs at 24 h post-injection. The tumor growth inhibition rates were 28.33 ± 5.01% in PC3 xenografts mice treated with 131I-ANAs compared with controls and a nearly twofold improvement in median survival was observed. These results demonstrate that radioimmunotherapy of radiolabeled natural ANAs may be an effective treatment for prostate tumors.
