Item does not contain fulltext, Binnen de verslavingszorg is onbekend of de forensische en de reguliere doelgroep van elkaar verschillen. In de verslavingszorg is niet eerder onderzoek gedaan naar dit onderscheid, terwijl inzicht in deze verschillen belangrijk is om behandeling te kunnen optimaliseren en de kans op recidive te verminderen. Daarom richt dit onderzoek zich op de vraag op welke kenmerken er verschillen te vinden zijn tussen de forensische en reguliere doelgroep binnen de verslavingszorg. Om deze vraag te onderzoeken is retrospectief alle data geanalyseerd van cliënten die tussen 2019 en 2021 voor een forensisch of regulier traject werden aangemeld bij een verslavingszorginstelling. Allen hadden een verslavingsdiagnose bij aanmelding. Groepen werden vergeleken op sociodemografische gegevens, verslavingsproblematiek, middelengebruik, tevredenheid van leven, psychopathologische symptomen en behandeling. De forensische groep is vaker man, lager opgeleid en gebruikt vaker stimulerende middelen. Hoewel hun dossier meer diagnoses vermeldt (zowel verslaving- als psychiatrische diagnoses) en hoewel ze vaker een (ambulante) behandeling hebben gehad, ervaren ze minder psychopathologische symptomen, zijn ze meer tevreden over het leven, achten ze hun problematiek minder ernstig, en hebben ze minder zorgbehoeften. Toch schatten therapeuten de benodigde zorgzwaarte voor beide groepen even hoog in. Onduidelijk is of de ernst van de problematiek bij de forensische doelgroep wordt onderschat of overschat. Aspecten als 'externaliserende problematiek' 'probleemherkenning' en 'motivatie' zijn niet meegenomen in het onderzoek. Het is aangetoond dat deze variabelen verband kunnen houden met onderrapportage van klachten. Onderzoek naar deze factoren kan meer handvatten bieden voor behandeling.

We present a multi-purpose radiation furnace designed for X-ray experiments at synchrotrons. The furnace is optimized specifically for dark-field X-ray microscopy (DFXM) of crystalline materials at beamline ID06 of the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility. The furnace can reach temperatures above 1200 °C with a thermal stability better than 10 °C, with heating and cooling rates up to 30 K/s. The non-contact heating design enables samples to be heated either in air or in a controlled atmosphere contained within a capillary tube. The temperature was calibrated via the thermal expansion of an α-iron grain. Temperature profiles in the y and z axes were measured by scanning a thermocouple through the focal spot of the radiation furnace. In the current configuration of the beamline, this furnace can be used for DFXM, near-field X-ray topography, bright-field X-ray nanotomography, high-resolution reciprocal space mapping, and limited powder diffraction experiments. As a first application, we present a DFXM case study on isothermal heating of a commercially pure single crystal of aluminum.

Contains fulltext : 215746.pdf (publisher's version ) (Open Access), BACKGROUND: Provoked Vulvodynia (PVD) is the most common cause of vulvar pain. General practitioners (GPs) are insufficiently familiar with it, causing a delay in many women receiving correct diagnosis and treatment. Besides patients factors, this delay can partly be explained by the reluctance of GPs to explore the sexual context of PVD and by their negative emotional reactions such as helplessness and frustration when consulted by patients with medically unexplained symptoms like PVD. OBJECTIVE: To gain insight into how women with PVD perceive and evaluate condition management by their GP, in order to support GPs in the consultation of women with PVD. METHODS: We performed face-to-face in-depth interviews with women diagnosed with PVD. The interviews were recorded, transcribed verbatim and thematically analysed. The Consolidated Criteria for reporting Qualitative Research (COREQ-criteria) were applied. RESULTS: Analysis of the interviews generated four interrelated themes: Doctor-patient relationship, Lack of knowledge, Referral process and Addressing sexual issues. Empathy of the GP, involvement in decision-making and referral were important factors in the appreciation of the consultation for women with PVD who were referred to a specialist. Because women were reluctant to start a discussion about sexuality, they expected a proactive attitude from their GP. The communication with and the competence of the GP ultimately proved more important in the contact than the gender of the GP. CONCLUSION: Women with PVD prefer a patient-centred approach and want GPs to acknowledge their autonomy and to address sexuality proactively.

In December 2018, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Interior exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport (InSight) mission deployed a seismometer on the surface of Mars. In preparation for the data analysis, in July 2017, the marsquake service initiated a blind test in which participants were asked to detect and characterize seismicity embedded in a one Earth year long synthetic data set of continuous waveforms. Synthetic data were computed for a single station, mimicking the streams that will be available from InSight as well as the expected tectonic and impact seismicity, and noise conditions on Mars (Clinton et al., 2017). In total, 84 teams from 20 countries registered for the blind test and 11 of them submitted their results in early 2018. The collection of documentations, methods, ideas, and codes submitted by the participants exceeds 100 pages. The teams proposed well established as well as novel methods to tackle the challenging target of building a global seismicity catalog using a single station. This article summarizes the performance of the teams and highlights the most successful contributions.

A compact minicryostat has been well adapted on the hard x-ray microprobe ID22 of the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility. For variable low-temperature investigations, its special technical design provides precise scanning microscopy and allows easy access for multiple detection modes. Based on x-ray excited optical luminescence technique on the micrometer scale, details of the equipment, its temperature calibration, and typical results are described. Data collections from InAs quantum heterostructures support the excellent thermal performance of the novel cryogenic device.
