An electrostatic lattice is composed of many micro-scale traps. It is a powerful tool for manipulating cold polar molecules on a chip with the help of the interaction between the dipole moment and the inhomogeneous electric field. To the best of our knowledge, the existing electrostatic lattice still suffers the nonadiabatic transition that will lead to the escape of molecules from the electrostatic trap. In the paper, we skillfully design the electrode structure to avoid the zero-field zone at the center of every single microtrap, and the nonadiabatic transitions can be prevented. First, we numerically calculate the distribution of the spatial electrostatic field. Then, the influences of voltages on the electric field intensity and the height of the trap center are investigated. We simulate of the trajectory of molecules using the Monte Carlo method and figure out the factors impacting the loading efficiency of our electrostatic lattice. At last, we discuss how the voltages and the loading positions affect the positional distribution of trapped molecules.

As is well known in atomic optics, the nonadiabatic transitions induce the loss of atoms trapped in a magnetic well which seriously affects the formation of the Bose-Einstein condensates. Electrostatic traps have widespread applications in molecular optics. While, for most existing electrostatic traps, the electric field strength in the trap center is nearly zero which may cause the nonadiabatic transitions. Especially for a chip-based microtrap, ingenious design is need to overcome this problem. In the paper, we propose a novel electrostatic microtrap composed of four arc-shaped electrodes. The influences of the voltages and the geometrical parameters of the electrodes on the electric field strength as well as the height of the potential well are studied. The distributions of electrostatic field are numerically calculated. We firstly simulate the trajectory of one molecule in the processes of loading and trapping. After that, we simulate the movements of a large number of molecules using the method of Monte Carlo. Then we calculate the temperature of trapped cold molecules. After that, we analyze the impacts of voltages and the geometrical parameters on the efficiency of our microtrap. At last, we show that our scheme can evolve into electrostatic microtrap arrays which should be a powerful tool for a variety of basic research and applications.

A series of novel amide-linked 18β-glycyrrhetinic acid derivatives were developed by incorporating substituted piperazine amide fragments into the C30–COOH of 18β-glycyrrhetinic acid scaffold. The synthesized compounds were evaluated for their anticancer activity against Karpas299, A549, HepG2, MCF-7, and PC-3 cell lines by MTT assay. Besides, some compounds with electron-withdrawing groups on phenyl moieties exhibited noticeable antiproliferative activity. The most potent compound 4a was also found to be non-toxic to normal human hepatocytes LO2 cells. The compound 4a exhibited moderate inhibitory activity against wild-type ALK with an IC50 value of 203.56 nM and relatively weak potent activity to c-Met (IC50 > 1000 nM). Molecular docking studies were performed to explore the diversification in bonding patterns between the compound 4a and Crizotinib.

A spatial electrostatic beam splitter composed of six charged poles for polar molecules in weak-field-seeking states is proposed. First, the schematic diagram is given. With the help of finite element software the spatial distribution of the electrical field is calculated. The dynamic process of the loading and splitting polar molecules is simulated using the classical Monte Carlo method. The influences of the longitudinal velocity of the incident molecular beam and the voltages on the loading efficiency are studied. Two output arms of the beam splitter can be cut off at a certain position to adjust the splitting ratio of the molecular beam. Then the influences of the voltages and cutting positions on the splitting ratio are investigated. The results indicate that the splitting ratio can be manipulated conveniently from 0% to 100%.

A versatile electrostatic trap with open optical access for cold polar molecules in weak-field-seeking state is proposed in this paper. The trap is composed of a pair of disk electrodes and a hexapole. With the help of a finite element software, the spatial distribution of the electrostatic field is calculated. The results indicate that a three-dimensional closed electrostatic trap is formed. Taking ND3 molecules as an example, the dynamic process of loading and trapping is simulated. The results show that when the velocity of the molecular beam is 10 m/s and the loading time is 0.9964 ms, the maximum loading efficiency reaches 94.25% and the temperature of the trapped molecules reaches about 30.3 mK. A single well can be split into two wells, which is of significant importance to the precision measurement and interference of matter waves. This scheme, in addition, can be further miniaturized to construct one-dimensional, two-dimensional, and three-dimensional spatial electrostatic lattices.

A selective reduced integration 8-node hexahedral element for coining simulation is developed in this paper. The element is free of volume locking by assumed strain method. The standard velocity gradient matrix is derived in which the shear items are ignored to avoid shear locking. Hourglass modes are successfully suppressed without user-input parameters. The element is successfully employed in the coining simulation package - COINFORM. Numerical tests and experiments of a typical coin are carried out to show the good performances of the element.

Rice grain shape is one of the important factors affecting grain quality and yield, but it is liable to be influenced by genetic backgrounds and environments. The chromosome single segment substitution lines (SSSLs) in rice have been considered as ideal populations to identify the quantitative trait loci (QTLs). In this study, 22 QTLs affecting rice grain shape were detected to be distributed on eight chromosomes except chromosomes 6, 9, 11 and 12 by using SSSLs. Among them, seven QTLs conditioned grain length, six conditioned grain width, five affected grain length-width ratio and four controlled grain thickness.

The paper proposed a new reinforcement technique-planting steel technique. By numerical simulation analysis of planting steel, the load – slip curve, the load – stress curve and others were obtained. Meanwhile, ultimate bearing capacity of angle was calculated, and the ultimate bearing capacities with the same model at different anchorage depths were compared. With the anchorage depth increased, the ultimate bearing capacity increased too. But while the anchorage depth increased to a certain value, the ultimate bearing capacity no longer increased. All these provided a theoretical basis for the engineering application of planting steel technique.

This paper is to make an elastic dynamic time history analysis on a steel-concrete composite structure under the effect of frequent earthquake. And it reveals the collaborative performance of steel frame and RC frame under the seismic motion effect by studying time history response of the parameters like base shear, base bending moment, structure top acceleration and displacement of the structures under the seismic motion effect. The results show that for the steel-concrete composite frame structure under the seismic motion effect, its maximum base shear, maximum bending moment, structure maximum top acceleration and maximum displacement do not occur at the same time, and dynamic response of the top steel frame acceleration, displacement and other parameters increase more significantly than the lower RC frame, while Steel-concrete composite structure may produce resonant phenomenon with earthquake vibration.

It is observed that the parameter of seismic inhomogeneous degree (GL value) calculated from the earthquake catalog shows obvious abnormal changes prior to strong earthquakes, indicating the state change of local seismic activity. This paper focuses on the mechanism for the abnormal changes of the GL values based on the sequences of acoustic emission for three types of rock samples containing macro-asperity fracture; compressional en-echelon fracture and model-III shear fracture. The results show that for the three types of rock samples, there are continuous abnormal changes of GL value (>1) just before the non-elastic deformation occurs or during the process of nucleation prior to the instability. Based on the experimental results, it seems that the process of creep sliding and resistance-uniformization along fault zone is the possible mechanism for the abnormal changes of GL value before rock fractures.

Objective: Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) was used to analyze the changes of white matter fiber FA in patients with schizophrenia of different ages and genders, and to explore the reference of clinical imaging. Methods: Retrospective analysis of the clinical diagnosis of schizophrenia patients and healthy subjects in all 50 cases, were given routine examination of brain MRI parallel diffusion tensor imaging, comparison of different age and gender in different parts of the brain white matter changes of FA value. Results : (1) the FA values of white matter in different age groups were different between the patients and the normal group ( P < 0.05). The normal group right superior frontal gyrus, left parietal lobe and left anterior cingulate gyrus of the cerebral white matter fiber FA value increased gradually before the age of 30, at the age of 30 and reached the peak gradually decreased after 30 years old. The left frontal gyrus and corpus callosum in patients with group pressure (after) of cerebral white matter fiber FA value increased gradually before the age of 30, at the age of 30 and reached the peak gradually decreased after 30 years old. (2) the FA values of white matter in different parts of male and female patients were different (P < 0.05). The white matter fiber FA in the left anterior capsule of the normal group was higher in males than in females. The FA value of bilateral occipital white matter in male patients was lower than that in female; the FA values of the central white matter in the left and right sides of the brain stem were higher in males than in females. Conclusion : the changes of FA value in the white matter of some parts of the brain in the normal group and the patient group are influenced by age and sex.

In the third generation PWR, passive containment cooling system was one of the key security parts. If accident happened, the blasting valves in the containment would automatically open and the steam would be injected into the containment. When the pressure reached a certain value, the tank on the top of containment would automatically spray. Driven by gravity, the cooling water would flow along outer surface of containment. Steam inside the containment would condense on inner wall and the pressure in the containment would decrease. A numerical simulation of steam jet in the passive containment cooling system was carried out using computational fluid dynamics methods. Flow mechanism in the process was studied. A simplified three-dimensional model of the passive containment cooling system was built. The hexahedral structured mesh was made. The RNG k-epsilon turbulence model was used in solving the transient Reynolds Navier-Stokes equations by the Fluent. The distributions of velocity in containment at different time were acquired. Reference would be provided for understanding of flow mechanism of gas jet-flow in containment during the early stage of accident.

Three sets of data for the P1, P2, F1, and F2 populations derived from three crosses between the normal fertility wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars with different ecotypes and the female sterile line (XND126) were used to investigate the inheritance of female fertility in wheat using mixed major gene plus polygenes inheritance model in 2005 and 2006. The results from the joint segregation analysis of the four generations showed that female fertility in wheat is controlled by two major genes plus polygenes, and the interaction between the two major genes is also detected.
