Entwicklung eines toroidalen Verbunddruckbehälters zur mobilen Wasserstoffspeicherung mit 700 bar Fülldruck für einen brennstoffzellenbetriebenen mobilen Energieerzeuger mit 5 kW im Rahmen des Förderprojektes 'HZwo:FRAME - Tank'. Für die spritzgegossenen Polymerliner-Halbschalen und deren Laserfügeverfahren wurde ein Polyethylen mit einem akzeptablen Wasserstoffpermeationskoeffizienten ausgewählt. Der metallische Befüllinsert wird im Spritzguss in einer Halbschale integriert. Im Vergleich zu den am Markt erhältlichen zylindrischen Wasserstoff-Druckbehältern ist die gravimetrische H2-Kapazität hinsichtlich des Systemgewichts des entwickelten toroidalen CFK-Druckbehälters geringer. Mit einem Verhältnis von 5,7% des Gesamtgewichts zu Eigengewichts des Speichermediums wird bereits das Ziel für das Jahr 2025 für bordeigene Wasserstoffspeicher für leichte Brennstoffzellenfahrzeuge des U.S. Department of Energy erreicht. Der Ringdruckbehälter wird mit der entwickelten Ringwickelmaschine automatisiert hergestellt. Diese Prototyp-Maschine wurde im Rahmen des Projekts entwickelt und befindet sich derzeit im Aufbau. For the injection moulded polymer liner half-shells and the laser joining of those, a polyethylene with a tolerable hydrogen permeation coefficient was investigated. The metallic filling insert will be integrated in one part by injection moulding. Compared to cylindrical hydrogen composite vessels available on the market, regarding the H2 gravimetric capacity regarding the system weight of the developed toroidal composite pressure vessel is lower and already reaches the target for year 2025 for on-board hydrogen storages for light-duty fuel cell vehicles of the U.S. Department of Energy. The toroidal composite pressure vessel will be manufactured automated with the developed ring winding machine. This prototype machine has been developed within the project and is currently under construction.

26th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition; 1662-1665, The present work deals with the quantification of reactions products formed in the etching of silicon using HF/HNO3 mixtures. It turned out, that in HF-rich etchants two parallel pathways contribute to the oxidation of silicon: (i) via the oxidation by HNO3 and reactive intermediates generated by the reduction of HNO3, and (ii) via the formation of hydrogen. Furthermore we found, that the consumption of HNO3, i.e. expressed by the molar amount of HNO3 to dissolve 1 mol Si, is affected by several parameters, like the HF/HNO3 mixing ratio, the etch temperature, and the type of wafers used in etching. The higher the consumption of HNO3 the poorer is its utilization. This leads to an enrichment of reactive intermediates in the etch mixture and/or to a higher formation of nitrous oxides. The results emphasize the importance for an efficient control of the etch conditions, e.g. temperature, etch bath composition, etch bath lifetime, and defined replenishment cycles as key parameters for a more effective utilization of nitric acid and for a minimization of the costs for chemicals, waste, and exhaust gas treatment.
