This is the most complete list of Aleiodes species of the subfamily Rogadinae from Vietnam, and of the total seventy five species of this genus reported, sixty three species of the subgenus Aleiodes, five of Arcaleiodes, three of Chelonorhogas, and four species of the genus Heterogamus. There are thirty species newly recorded from the Rogadinae fauna of Vietnam. The information on valid names, the published papers of the first record of Aleiodes species in Vietnam and the distribution of Aleiodes species were also provided. Additionally, there are three species listed with information about their hosts, being agricultural pests controlled to some degree by these parasitoids.

Dicamptus isshikii Uchida, 1928 is recorded for the first time from Vietnam on the basis of specimens collected from Bat Xat Nature Reserve, Lao Cai province, Northwest Vietnam. A checklist of the Dicamptus species of Vietnam is presented with detailed records on the distribution range of each species. A key to the Vietnamese species of the genus Dicamptus is also provided.

A list of 23 species belonging to 15 genera of subfamily Cetoniinae is reported from Phia Oac-Phia Den National Park, Cao Bang Province. Of which, eight genera and eleven species are recorded for the first time from this National Park. In addition, the global and domestic distributions of all recognized species are given.

The relatively small genus Colastomion Baker, 1917 is newly recorded for Vietnam’s braconid fauna and six new species are described and fully illustrated, viz. Colastomion asperum Long, sp. n; Colastomion cephonodes Long & PVLam, sp. n.; Colastomion citrum Long, sp. n.; Colastomion neuterum Long, sp. n.; Colastomion nigroconfusum Long & Pham, sp. n. and Colastomion vietnamenese Long, sp. n. Based on both females and males, a key to the new species from Vietnam is given. Diagnostic characters of the new species are also analyzed and compared with other Colastomion species from the Oriental region. Additionally, the first host record for the new species, C. cephonodes sp. n., is provided as this new species is reared from caterpillars of the coffee hawkmoth, Cephonodes hylas (Linnaeus, 1771).

The genus Leptophion is recorded for the first time from Vietnam, including new records of three species, viz. L. giganteus Shimizu & Watanabe, L. maculipennis (Cameron) and L. radiatus (Uchida), for the country. The comparative morphological and pictorial characters of Vietnamese specimens were given. In addition, variations and in-country distribution of newly recorded species were also provided.

Two species of the genus Acropimpla, viz. A. bicarinata (Cameron) and A. uchidai (Cushman), are recorded for the first time from Vietnam. An updated, illustrated key to all eight Vietnamese species of Acropimpla is provided.

Based on the material collected from the field surveys in 2017–2018, we report the first list of lepidopteran insects from the Trang An Landscape Complex, Ninh Binh Province. A total of 167 species including 62 butterflies and 105 moths have been recorded, in that two species, Celerena signata Warren, 1898 and Nygmia plana (Walker, 1856) are recorded for the first time from Vietnam.

Six new species of three small genera of the subfamily Rogadinae: Cystomastacoides van Achterberg, 1997; Gyroneuron Kokujev, 1901 and Rogasodes Chen & He, 1997, viz. Cystomastacoides contrastus Long, sp. n.; Cystomastacoides similis Long, sp. n.; Gyroneuron asperatum Long, sp. n.; Gyroneuron bicoloratum Long, sp. n.; Gyroneuron glabrum Long, sp. n. and Rogasodes phongi Long & Hoa, sp. n.; and three new species of the subgenus Arcaleiodes Chen & He, 1997 from Vietnam, namely: Aleiodes (Arcaleiodes) hoanglienensis Long, sp. n., Aleiodes (Arcaleiodes) sapa Long, sp. n. and Aleiodes (Arcaleiodes) simulatus Long, sp. n. are described. Additionally, two genera: Cystomastacoides van Achterberg and Rogasodes Chen & He, and two species: Aleiodes (Arcaleiodes) sinamensis Quicke & Butcher and Cystomastacoides coxalis Chen & He are newly recorded for Vietnam’s braconid fauna. Illustrated keys to species of the genera Cystomastacoides, Gyroneuron and subgenus Arcaleiodes from Vietnam are given. The paper presents a checklist of the genus Rhaphuma Pascoe, 1858 belonging to the tribe Clytini from Vietnam. Of the total 26 species, there were eight species newly recorded for the Vietnam’s fauna, viz. Rhaphuma anongi Gressitt et Rondon, 1970; Rhaphuma clarina Gressitt et Rondon, 1970; Rhaphuma constricta Gressitt et Rondon, 1970; Rhaphuma diana Gahan, 1906; Rhaphuma eleodina Gressitt et Rondon, 1970; Rhaphuma elongata Gressitt et Rondon, 1970; Rhaphuma minima Gressitt et Rondon, 1970 and Rhaphuma phiale Gahan, 1906. All species are presented with notes on distribution. The genus Megarhyssa (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Rhyssinae) is reviewed from Vietnam for the first time, with three new country records, M. belluliflava, M. jezoensis, and M. hainanensis. In addition, the distribution range of M. praecellens, previously reported from Sapa, Lao Cai Province (North Vietnam), is extended to the South. A key to four already known Vietnamese species of this genus is provided with illustrated figures. Up to date, three species of the genus Flavopimpla have been known from Vietnam, of which two species were described as new on the basis of the material collected from the country, viz. F. lanugo Pham, Broad & Wägele, 2013 from Xuan Son NP, Phu Tho Province and F. vinhcuuensis Pham, Broad & Wägele, 2013 from Phu Ly, Dong Nai Province. Resulted from recent field survey, one species Flavopimpla nigromaculata (Cameron) is recorded for the first time from the country and included to the previous key to already known Flavopimpla species of Vietnam. In addition, the distribution range of F. lanugo is extended northwards. Cho đến nay, 3 loài thuộc giống ong cự Flavopimpla đã được ghi nhận ở Việt Nam, trong đó hai loài được miêu tả gần đây dựa trên các mẫu vật thu được trong nước bao gồm F. lanugo Pham, Broad & Wägele, 2013 ở Vườn Quốc gia Xuân Sơn, tỉnh Phú Thọ và F. vinhcuuensis Pham, Broad & Wägele, 2013 ở Phủ Lý, tỉnh Đồng Nai. Besides the unsustainable exploitation, farming activities and economic development activities, forest fire is considered as one of the major threats to biodiversity and deforestation in Vietnam. In forest ecosystems, any changes in insect communities can affect species composition, nutrient cycling and numerous other ecological processes. The impact of forest fires, however, is not equal to different insect groups. In this paper, we study the impact of forest fires to hymenopteran insects at Copia species-use forest, Son La Province. This is the first time this kind of study has been taken place in Vietnam. Bên cạnh việc khai thác không bền vững, tập quán canh tác và các hoạt động phát triển kinh tế, cháy rừng được xem là một trong những mối đe dọa chính ảnh hưởng tiêu cực tới đa dạng sinh học và mất rừng ở Việt Nam. Trong các hệ sinh thái rừng, những thay đổi trong cấu trúc của quần xã côn trùng có ảnh hưởng tới thành phần loài, chu trình dinh dưỡng và rất nhiều quá trình sinh thái khác. Tuy nhiên mức độ ảnh hưởng của cháy rừng tới các nhóm côn trùng khác nhau là khác nhau. Trong bài báo này, chúng tôi nghiên cứu tác động của cháy rừng tới nhóm côn trùng cánh màng tại khu rừng đặc dụng Copia, tỉnh Sơn La. In this paper, 48 ichneumonid species of 14 genera, two tribes of the subfamily Pimplinae were listed on the basis of material collected during the time from 2003 to 2011 in four provinces from the Central Highlands of Vietnam and a lesser degree of previous records. Among 48 aforemention pimpline no less than 16 species were described recently as new for science. The diversity of topography and vegetation types resulted in the high level of species richness and new discoveries of the region. Bài báo này giới thiệu danh sách 48 loài ong cự thuộc 14 giống, 2 tộc của phân họ Pimplinae dựa trên việc phân tích các mẫu vật thu tại Tây Nguyên trong thời gian từ năm 2003–2011 và một số ít loài dựa trên các ghi nhận trước đây. Trong số đó, 16 loài mới được mô tả trong thời gian 5 năm trở lại đây.
