The issues of automatic vessel control in a storm are considered in the paper. Vessel control in a storm is the most difficult stage in the vessel’s wiring, as it requires quick decisions to be made in difficult conditions. Practical experience shows that the deterioration of the working conditions of the crew is usually associated with an increase in the number of control errors, which is completely unacceptable in stormy conditions. To assess the safe speed and course in a storm, Yu. V. Remez has proposed a universal storm diagram, which allows identifying unfavourable combinations of vessel speed and course angles of the waves – the resonant zones, and avoid them. The universal Remez diagram provides for graphical calculations, which, in combination with the visual determination of the wave parameters, gives a very low accuracy. The article examines the possibility of automatic control of a vessel in a storm by automatic measurement of motion parameters and wave parameters, automatic calculation in the onboard controller of the vessel optimal safe speed and course during a storm, automatic maintenance of the optimal safe speed and course of the vessel. The automatic control significantly increases the accuracy of calculations, excludes the human factor, reduces the depletion of the crew, and increases the reliability of the vessel control in a storm. The efficiency and effectiveness of the method, algorithmic and software were tested on Imitation Modelling Stand in a closed loop with mathematical vessel models of the navigation simulator Navi Trainer 5000.

- Abstract
This study aims to perform a theoretical and empirical analysis to identify psychological factors, establish key correlations, and determine the differences in junior athletes' re-adaptation to competitive activity after a forced break. Methods: The research involved 36 junior athletes from both individual and team sports, representing sports schools for children and youth -- "LSSCY Enerhetyk" (Lviv, Ukraine), "SSSYOR №1" (Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine), and junior academies of professional football and handball clubs from Kherson and Mykolaiv. A forced break in competitive activity was the primary criterion for participant selection. Valid and reliable psycho-diagnostic tools, previously tested in sports studies, were employed. Results: No statistically significant differences were observed in the re-adaptive capacity parameters across the examined junior samples. An algorithm for creating a profile to assess junior athletes' ability to re-adapt is proposed. It considerably simplifies the management of recovery process and is capable of increasing the accuracy of planning competitive activities. It was established that the following parameters are the most dependent parameters of re-adaptation (three correlations for each): "adaptability", "acceptance of others" and "internality". The most dependent coping strategies (five correlations for each) are as follows: "problem-solving planning" and "escape--avoidance". It was explained that the strongest direct correlation of "internality" with the coping strategy "problem-solving planning" (rs = .549; p <.001) testifies that the efforts made by the re-adapting individual have the greatest readapting effect. It was found that the opposite effect is in the correlation between "emotional comfort" and the coping strategy "escape--avoidance" (rs = -.525; p = .001) which is the most undesirable combination at the stage of re-adaptation. Discussion and conclusions. It was substantiated that juniors' re-adaptation to competitive activity after a forced break is the return of athletes to active training and competitive processes in order to resume a sporting career. It was noted that the comparison of two groups with low and high levels of the parameters of re-adaptation confirmed that adaptive capacity and internal orientation towards problem-solving is the most effective combination of juniors' competences at the stage of re-adaptation to competitive activity after a forced break. It was summarized that re-adaptation is an important scientific problem in research into sporting activities which requires empirical study and implementation of effective practices in sporting activities. - Abstract
Aim: This study aims to conduct theoretical and empirical research into the strategies of extreme self-organization among handball players in competitive context. Methods: The research sample consisted of 34 athletes, aged 20-28 years (Me = 22.00; M = 21.87; SD = ± 3.64), who had been actively involved in handball for 4-12 years and represented both women's and men's teams. Validated psycho-diagnostic tools, extensively tested in team sports research, were used. Additionally, purposeful non-participant observation was performed using standard protocols. Theoretical methods were employed to analyze, generalize, and explain the empirical results. Results: The research strategy included comparing the parameters of two attack lines, the first line (Group 1) and the second line (Group 2), to assess their extreme self-organization strategies. It was found that experienced handball players rely on perfectly practiced functional models of organization, focusing on permanent significant changes in spatio-temporal relations of a competitive situation. It was established that the dominant strategies are as follows: taking responsibility; self-control; problem-solving planning. It was found that the competitive strategy orientated towards social support is manifested moderately. The moderation is explained by the connection of the players' game expectations with successful functional self-realization of teammates, rather than with the emotionally colored personal self-realization. It was established that the strategy of confrontation is statistically pronounced in the experienced handball players of the first line of attack. This preference was regarded as a consequence of the functionally determined and normatively provided close physical contact with the players of the team-competitor. It was highlighted that the excessive confrontational attitude of experienced players is compensated by distancing oneself from provoking circumstances. Discussion and conclusions. It was established that the strategies of handball players' extreme self-organization are motivational-behavioral patterns, caused by stressogenic situations of a contest, the players' role positions on the sports ground, external and internal factors of sporting activities and organizational-content features of handball competitions. It was substantiated that the strategies of extreme self-organization of the first and second lines of attack have regular different functional-content parameters. It was proved that the obtained results of the research into the strategies of extreme self-organization possess scientific novelty and are valuable for representatives of team sports. - Abstract
This study aims to establish statistical correlations between the propensity for adventurousness and components of junior athletes' motivational structures. Methods: The sample consisted of juniors actively involved in competitive, training, and rehabilitative sports, regularly participating in competitions ranging from regional to international levels, including European, World, and Olympic events. The sample includes an equal number of male (n = 65; 50.00%) and female (n = 65; 50.00%) participants, as well as an equal representation from team sports (n = 65; 50.00%) and individual sports (n = 65; 50.00%), randomly selected. The size of the total sample was: n = 130 respondents aged from 17 to 19 years. The following descriptive characteristics were obtained: M = 18.38; SD = ±3.08; Me = 18.50. The applied psycho-diagnostic tools tested in numerous studies on sports psychology, on junior samples are valid, reliable and representative. Results: Twenty-one statistically significant correlations of the parameters of propensity for adventurousness with motives for engaging in sports and thirtyfour correlations with motives for achieving a sports result (p ≤ .050; p ≤ .010; p ≤ .001) were established using Spearman's coefficient (rs). It was found that the parameters of propensity for adventurousness "emotionalmotivational indicator of adventurousness" and "energy indicator of adventurousness" are the most dependent ones. It was explained by the fact that these components in junior athletes are a powerful mental resource which should be supported, developed and directed at volitional self-regulation. An algorithm for creating a profile of propensity for adventurousness was proposed. Discussion and conclusions: Comparison of the researched groups with a high level (Group 1) and a low level (Group 2) of propensity for adventurousness allowed summarizing that the athletes with a high level are guided by the desire for new sensations accompanied by adrenaline rush, frequent changes goals during sports competitions and by an immense desire for social selfaffirmation. The athletes with a low level strive to improve sports skills, work on a procedural component accompanied by control, volitional efforts and self-regulation of sports behavior. It is recommended that the obtained results should be taken into consideration by coaches, psychologists and managers of sports institutions working with junior athletes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
This study aims to explore and substantiate correlations between hubristic motivation and parameters such as subject activity, interpersonal communication, and the drive to achieve sports results among juniors. Methods: Valid and reliable tools previously tested in sports studies involving junior samples were employed. Standard statistical coefficients were used to establish significant correlations and identify differences. Results: Hubristic motivation among juniors was examined through two dimensions--desire for perfection (DP) and desire for superiority (DS)--highlighting their impact on juniors' self-efficacy, characterized by maximalist tendencies and confidence in achieving competitive success, influencing both formal and content aspects of sporting activities. A statistical advantage of juniors in team sports (Group 1) by the parameter "desire for perfection" and the advantage of juniors in individual sports (Group 2) by the parameter "desire for superiority" were established. It was explained that team educational-training work, learning technical schemes and practicing them in training make athletes concentrate on improving their technique and constantly ascertain that a sports result depends on well-coordinated team work. Accordingly, individual sports work can take much time to analyze and compare oneself with real or probable competitors, therefore, the desire for superiority rationally and intuitively becomes dominant. It was stated that the correlation between the desire for perfection and subject activity is the strongest one. It is logical that improvement of one's mastery is a direct way to self-efficacy and a victory result. It was established that there was no correlation between the desire for perfection and the parameter of self-efficacy "interpersonal communication". Discussion and conclusions: It was explained that efficacy facilitates friendly and warm relationships in communication and can lower requirements for oneself and teammates in practicing tactical schemes in training. It was summarized that hubristic motivation as a dichotomous unity of the desire for perfection and the desire for superiority is one of important psychological mechanisms of the formation of a junior athlete's personality and organization of a junior's motivation structure. - Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the correlation between athletes' aggressiveness and various parameters of self-efficacy during tense competitive situations. The sample consisted of athletes spanning different levels of sporting experience, from juniors to professionals, excluding amateurs and veterans. Participants were involved in International, European, World, and Olympic sports competitions. Their age was between 15 and 32 years. Sample characteristics: n = 120; M = 23.45; SD = ±5.12; Me = 23.50. Methods: Valid and reliable psychodiagnostic instruments were used to perform a comprehensive cross-sectional analysis. The parameters of self-efficacy examined included self-efficacy in subject activity, self-efficacy in interpersonal communication, motivation for achieving success, and motivation for avoiding failure. Results. Using Pearson's correlation coefficient (r
xy ), ten statistically significant bivariate correlations of aggressiveness characteristics with the parameters of self-efficacy were established (p ≤ .050; p ≤ .010). It was explained that the obtained regularities constitute a poly-determined construct of the complex nature of aggressiveness in the context of sporting activities. It was highlighted that it does not allow stating that self-efficacy is determined by athletes' aggressiveness. It was found that "direct physical aggressiveness" is the most dependent aggressiveness characteristic -- four correlations. It was established that "level of impulsiveness" in sports competitions is the least controlled state and, consequently, the most dangerous one. It was found that groups with low levels of aggressiveness had a statistically significant advantage in all five pairs. Discussion and conclusions. The dual nature of aggressiveness in sports was revealed and constructive or destructive characteristics of the impact on sporting activities were explained. The knowledge of the specificity of athletes' aggressiveness was deepened. It was generalized that an athlete's aggressiveness is a highly complex psycho-emotional resource, that requires the formedness of a high level of self-regulation and the ability to manage one's psycho-emotional state, achieving optimal sports readiness. We recommend that the obtained empirical results should be implemented in educational-training process, tactical and psychological training for athletes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

- Abstract
The aim of the research is to categorize the types of precompetition anxiety experienced by junior athletes immediately before official sports events. Methods: Valid and reliable psychodiagnostic tools, well-established in sports research, were utilized to accurately measure anxiety phenomena in junior athletes. Results: Descriptive frequency characteristics were analyzed to construct a comprehensive profile of pre-competition anxiety among the participants. K-means clustering identified four distinct types: "Destructive Anxiety Disorder" (DAD) (n = 42; 13.13%); "Personal Precompetition Anxiety" (PPA) (n = 120; 37.50%); "Situational Precompetition Anxiety" (SPA) (n = 102; 31.87%); and "Social Unprotected Anxiety" (SUA) (n = 56; 17.50%). Notably, DAD is the most concerning type, potentially impacting both performance and the athlete's overall health. Additionally, SUA was identified as posing significant risks. It was explained that this type can become a plateau of stagnation and be transformed into a psychological problem later. It was highlighted that anxiety performs an important function in an athlete's sporting activities and it is important how efficiently a junior athlete can utilize their resources. We performed comparison of the types of pre-competition anxiety of junior athletes representing team sports (Group 1) and individual sports (Group 2) by Fisher's criterion (φ). Two statistically significant advantages were established: Group 1 (n = 79; 49.37%) has an advantage by "SPA" (φ = 1.89; p ≤ .05); Group 2 (n = 42; 26.25%) has an advantage by "SUA" (φ = 2.12; p ≤ .05). Discussion and conclusions. It was substantiated that the types of junior athletes' pre-competition anxiety are considered to be psycho-physiological states related to awaiting a sports competition, which are accompanied by psycho-emotional stress, require the development of athletes' self-regulation, stress-resistance and resilience, and depend on their individual-psychological characteristics, experience and mastery. We recommend that coaching staffs should diagnose the types of pre-competition anxiety that will allow making timely corrections to an athlete's performance that can have a considerable impact on the result of a sports competition and also protect athletes against traumas. One of the ways to reduce human influence on the control process is the development of automated and automatic control systems. Modern control systems are quite complex and require preliminary ground testing. The article considers the issues of creating Imitation Modelling Stand for such control system synthesis and testing. For this reason, a Control System Model was integrated into the local computer network of the navigation simulator NTPRO 5000. The authors of the paper developed and tested software for information exchange between the navigation simulator and the Control System Model. The authors also developed a functional module of collision avoidance with many targets for testing in a closed loop system with virtual training objects. The results showed that the developed Imitation Modelling Stand allowed developing and testing functional modules of the control systems. In comparison with the found analogues, it is easy to include in a closed simulation cycle various models of command devices, actuators, control objects, objects of training scene, weather conditions; it is universal both for solving problems of manual control and for developing and testing automatic and automated control systems; it is not highly specialised and is created at minimal costs.

- Abstract
The objective is to empirically investigate statistically significant correlations and elucidate determinants of high and low anxiety parameters within the motivational orientation dimensions of junior athletes. The study encompassed male and female junior athletes (n = 96) (e = 17; = 17.38; SD = ±1.71) representing individual sports from sports schools for children and young people - "SSSYOR 1" in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine and "LSSCY Enerhetyk" in Lviv, Ukraine - and youth academies of professional handball clubs: "HC Dniprianka" in Kherson, Ukraine and "HC Real" in Mykolaiv, Ukraine and football club "FC Enerhiya" in Lviv, Ukraine. Methods: valid and reliable methods were applied to find the parameters of anxiety and motivational orientation of the respondents before the beginning of the game. Additionally, a planned observation with standard blanks was used. Statistical coefficients were used to establish significant correlations. Results. It was found that the junior athletes with a low level (Group 1) of the parameters of anxiety have an advantage in the level of motivation over the athletes with a high level (Group 2). A lack of advantage in the parameters of situational and personal social protection - SSP (U = 623.50; p = .549) and PSP (U = 532.00; p = .091) - was explained by an equally important impact of this protection for the respondents with a high level and those with a low level. It was proved that high and low psychological content parameter of anxiety have statistically significant correlations with the respondents' motivational orientation: Group 1 - thirty correlations; Group 2 - twentyseven correlations. It was empirically established that situational (SAEP) and personal (PAEP) anxious evaluation of prospects has a positive impact on subject-directed (SbM) and socially-directed (ScM) motivational orientation in the two research groups. Discussion and conclusions. It was substantiated that the impact of the parameters of SAEP and PAEP are within the scope of a personal choice, social pressure and an athlete's construction of the future that requires psychological assistance and support of coaching and teaching staff. It was highlighted that the impact of spectators, social pressure of mass-media, expectations of fans, coaching staff and management of an organization (sports school/professional club) and junior athletes' aspirations to meet other peoples' expectations are wrong tactics and strategies of training and competitive process. We can generalize that anxiety is a multifaceted phenomenon in the dimensions of motivational orientation of junior athletes combining a complex of internal and external factors determining psychophysiological reactions of a junior athlete's body and their motivational orientation. We recommend that the obtained results should be taken into consideration by coaches working with juniors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
This study aimed to identify statistically significant parameters regarding the influence of emotionality and locus of control on athletes' motivation for success achievement and failure avoidance in individual sports. The sample consisted of athletes participating in individual sports (n = 123) with a mean age of 23 (Me = 23; M = 23.19; SD = ±2.92), representing disciplines such as artistic gymnastics, track and field, weightlifting, freestyle wrestling, and boxing. Among the participants were medalists and winners of regional, national, international, and Olympic sports competitions. Methods. The methods verified in sports studies allowed measuring a number of parameters of emotionality and locus-control, and also two dependent variables - motivation for achieving success and avoiding failure. Statistically significant differences were identified by standard coefficients. Results. It was empirically established that both dependent variables have a considerable number of statistically significant correlations (p = .050; p = .010): motivation for achieving success has eight correlations, motivation for avoiding failure has seven correlations. It was found that three parameters - "athletes' emotional stability", "area of athletes' achievements" and "athletes' health and illnesses" correlate significantly with both motivations: motivation for achieving success (MAS) and motivation for avoiding failure (MAF). Diametrically opposite correlations of the parameters "athletes' interpersonal relationships" with MAS (r
xy = -.235; p=.041) and MAF (rxy = .215; p = .045) and "athletes' sporting activities" with MAS (rxy = .623; p = .041) and MAF (rxy = -.238; p=.042) were established. Discussion and conclusions. It was generalized that emotional stability (ES) and emotional arousal (EA) are important parameters of athletes' emotionality, whose constructive realization is within the scope of emotional intelligence (EQ) and has a statistically significant impact on motivation and achievement of victory. It was explained that support for emotional positive relationships in domination of motivation for achieving success can have a negative effect on athletes' concentration. Such relationships can be a defense mechanism, emotional comfort and psychological relief in difficult situations of sporting activities in case of domination of motivation for avoiding failure. It was proved that emotionality and locus-control affect motivation for achieving success and avoiding failure of athletes in individual sports. The obtained results are characterized by scientific novelty and can arouse interest in everyone who is involved in training and competition processes of athletes in individual sports. Aim. Empirical research and theoretical substantiation of the types of self-realisation of future teachers who did an educational-professional training course under conditions of a digital educational environment. Investigating the types of self-realisation and establishing statistically significant correlations with the research parameters of educational-professional training for future teachers will allow finding important scientific facts that will possess novelty and be of scientific interest for organisers of educational and scientific activities in a digital educational environment. Methods. The representative sample involved students of the final years of pedagogical educational programmes of Bachelor's and Master's studies. Methodological foundations of the research are the main statements of the concepts of self-realisation, self-actualisation and self-regulation in educational activity. Results. Spearman (r) correlation coefficient allowed us to find that "value orientations", "time competence", "cognitive needs" and "creativity of activity" are the most important and dependent parameters. £-means clustering allowed identifying four types of self-realisation: "Value-oriented self-realisation"; "Temporal self-realisation"; "Passive self-realisation" and "Pragmatic self-realisation". It explained that high external negative motivation in the type of passive self-realisation is not directly related to the process and results of educational-professional activity, but only reflects future teachers' attitude towards it. It was highlighted that future teachers with a value-oriented type of self-realisation are ready to devote themselves to pedagogical activity and consider it to be the meaning of their life. Conclusion. It was recommended that the established empirical facts possessing cognitive value, scientific and theoretical novelty should be implemented in creation and improvement of a digital educational environment. - Abstract
The purpose of the research is to find and substantiate a correlation between time decentrations and selfregulation of junior athletes under changed conditions of competitive activity. Methods. The main methods of a summative strategy of the research with elements of comparison were two valid and reliable psycho-diagnostic instruments: an adapted version of the questionnaire "Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory" (Zimbardo & Gonzalez, 1984) and a modified version of the questionnaire "Style of Self-regulation of Behavior" (Morosanova, 2004). Objective observation and structured interviews with data recorded in specialized protocol forms were supplementary research methods. Standard coefficients were employed to identify statistically significant differences. Results: The concept of time decentrations was defined, emphasizing their significance in junior sports. Seventeen statistically significant correlations were established (p = .050; p = .010). Temporal decentralization future (TDF) and temporal decentralization positive past (TDPP) exhibited the highest number of correlations, with six each. The strongest positive correlation of TDF with "Planning Training Activity" (PTA) (rs = .311; p = .010) was established. It was substantiated that the strongest correlation between the dimensions "Planning Training Activity" (rs = .311; p = .010) with Temporal Decentralization Future in combination with the other two strong (p = .010) correlations of the dimension "Independence of Decision-Making": TDF (rs = .302) and TDPP (rs = .221) constitute an efficient self-regulation construct of achieving a victory result under changed conditions of competitive activity. Comparison of self-regulation parameters of respondents of an optimal profile (Group II) and a general profile (Group I) of time decentration was performed. Statistically significant differences (p = .050; p = .010) were found by three self-regulation parameters: "Planning Training Activity", "Modelling Competitive Activity" and "Independence of Decision-Making". Discussion and conclusions. The identified differences between time decentrations possess scientific novelty and are valuable for tactical-technical preparation of junior athletes. Operationalization of the obtained results can increase resourcefulness of junior athletes and create a competitive advantage over rivals under usual and changed conditions of competitive activity. - Abstract
The purpose of the article is to determine the relationship between the characteristics of social marketing stakeholders and the degree of development of marketing systems in the digital economy. The results of the study are based on a critical analysis of the tools and processes of functioning of marketing systems in the context of digitalisation, and the changes it causes in marketing systems at basic and extended levels due to specific features inherent in the digital economy. The concept of cultural dimensions by Hofstede (2010) is applied to determine the collective behavioural characteristics of the most numerous stakeholders of social marketing, which are members of society in selected countries. A positive statistically significant correlation between the share of online shoppers against the indulgence index (R=.77) and the individualism index (R=.73) was found. There is a negative statistically significant correlation between the share of online shoppers against uncertainty avoidance (R=-.76), power distance (R=-.67), gender culture type (R=-.27) and long-term orientation (R=-.27). In general, a significant part of the expected impact of uncertainty avoidance is taken over by mechanisms that guarantee the protection of personal data from unauthorised use and security from fraud and crime committed in cyberspace.

- Abstract
The objective of this study is to convey the findings from an empirical investigation into the tactical thinking and competitive activity parameters of junior female handball players, followed by their operationalization based on fundamental game roles. The study entails a comparison and operationalization of empirical results pertaining to key content parameters, intended for integration into the educational and training processes, as well as competitive engagements of handball players. The research involved junior female athletes aged 15 to 19, regardless of their qualification level, representing women's handball clubs in the Ukrainian Championship (the Junior League). Methods. The method "Examination of the profile of athletes' thinking" (Hanzen et al., 2001) was applied; the key content parameters of competitive activity: intensity, activeness, preciseness, fault, efficiency and reliability were determined by a proprietary complex of tested indicators of handball players' attack/defense given in the studies by L. Latyshkevich & L. Manevich (1990); F. Terzy et al. (2009); I. Turchyn (1988). Results. Statistically significant differences (p<.050; p<.010; p<.001) were registered using the Kruskal-Wallis H test by all the types of thinking: subject thinking (SbTh), symbolic thinking (SmTh), logical thinking (LgTh), visual thinking (VsTh) and creative thinking (CrTh) of junior handball players by the basic game roles. Statistically significant differences (p<.050; p<.010; p<.001) were found using the Kruskal-Wallis H test by all the parameters of junior handball players' competitiveness by the basic game roles. It was found and substantiated that the most important types of handball players' thinking in the context of competitive activity are: logical thinking - four statistically significant correlations (p<.050) with the parameters of competitiveness (the coefficient of precise passes; the coefficient of a player's efficiency; the coefficient of a player's reliability; a complex indicator of competitive activity); creative thinking - three statistically significant correlations (p<.050; p<.010) with the parameters of competitiveness (the coefficient of precise passes; the coefficient of a player's efficiency; a complex indicator of competitive activity) and subject thinking - two statistically significant correlations (p<.050) with the parameters of competitiveness (the coefficient of precise passes; the coefficient of a player's reliability). Discussion and conclusions. The study explains that the obtained high indices of subject and logical thinking of team center players (fullbacks, centers, center-halves) are determined by educational-training process. The study regards a high level of development of the above types of thinking as a technological game construct of a team. Attention is paid to high levels of visual and creative thinking of line players which are determined by a situation of development which encourages them to play in attack through achieving a desirable image and scoring a goal unconventionally. The study found a considerable number of scientific facts which should be introduced into educational-professional activity of women's handball teams. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The primary aim of this research was to empirically examine and substantiate the of various pre-competition expectations exhibited by junior athletes, particularly in light of altering conditions within a sporting contest. The study involved a cohort of adolescents (n=267) (Me=16; M=16.32; SD=±1.71). The participants were representatives of team sports such as football and volleyball, as well as individual sports such as artistic gymnastics and track and field. The empirical investigation focused on junior athletes enrolled in an educational training course at two sports schools: "LSSCY Enerhetyk" in Lviv, Ukraine and "SSSYOR No1" in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine. Methods. Psychodiagnostic tools were employed to gauge the content parameters of both expectations and the concept of a safe competition space. Standard coefficients were applied to discern statistically significant correlations within the collected data. The categorization of pre-competition expectations was accomplished through the application of k-means clustering. Results. This research established statistically significant correlations cognitive, emotional and behavioral components of psychological safety and expectation parameters underscoring the pivotal influence of both the competition space and pre-competition expectations on actual competitive performance. The delineation of five distinct precompetition expectation types emerged: real (RTE), active analytical (AATE), moderate (MTE), passive moderate (PMTE) and unreal (UTE). The findings provided robust evidence supporting that RTE, AATE and MTE constitute favorable expectation types, contributing positively to desired outcomes. In contrast, PMTE and UTE were identified as negative types, exhibiting a detrimental impact on achieving desirable results. Notably, the study demonstrated and substantiated the heightened risk associated with PMTE establishing it as the most perilous type of expectation for athletes engaged in competitive activities. Discussion and conclusions. This study revealed a significant negative correlation, particularly the cognitive component of psychological safety (CC), with expected status (ESA). This finding underscores the increased risk associated with this psychological configuration because it promotes a closed convergent position with subsequent distancing. Such a psychological state, coupled with a diminished awareness of competition activity (ACA), consistently leads to tactical errors in both offensive and defensive actions among athletes. These errors, in turn, disrupt team interaction and hinder the execution of a game plan. It was generalized that the identified precompetition expectation types among junior athletes, especially under altering sporting conditions, carry a distinctive scientific novelty. Moreover, these findings can be practically operationalized in the realm of educational training preparation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The purpose of the empirical research is to find out the impact of psychogenic factors on motivational orientation of junior athletes. The study identified differences in the psychological content parameters reflecting psychogenic factors of junior athletes by high and low levels. The research involved juniors (n=75) (Me=17; M=17.23; SD=±1.67) representing the following football clubs (n=43): FC "Krystal" (Kherson, Ukraine), FC "Riatuvalnyk" (Mykolaiv, Ukraine), FC "Enerhiia" (Lviv, Ukraine) and juniors (n=32) of handball clubs "Dniprianka" (Kherson, Ukraine) and "Real" (Mykolaiv, Ukraine). Methods: the selected methods, which are reliable and sensitive to the research subject, allowed measuring the research parameters relevantly, ensured external and internal validity. In addition, purposeful observation with entering data in standard reports was used. Statistically significant differences were found by means of standard coefficients. Results. It was empirically established and substantiated that there are dominant negative statistically significant correlations (p<.050; p<.010) of depressiveness (D), neuro-psychic tension (NPT), situational reactive anxiety (SRA) and personal anxiety (PA), spontaneous (Scale II) and reactive aggressiveness (Scale VII) with all the parameters of motivational orientation of junior athletes: subject-directed (Sb); result-directed (R), socially directed (Sc) and personally directed motivational orientation (P). A positive correlation of neuro-psychic tension (NPT) and spontaneous aggressiveness (Scale II) is accounted for by an impact on socially directed motivational orientation. It was proved that there are statistically significant differences between the respondents with a high level of the parameters reflecting psychogenic factors and the subgroup of respondents with a low level. Thirteen statistically significant differences were registered (p=.050; p=.010). The study highlights that subject-directed motivational orientation (Sb) is the most dependent on the level of development of the parameters reflecting psychogenic factors. Discussion and conclusions. It was substantiated that the suggested summative research strategy with elements of comparison of the examined variables confirmed its efficiency. The applied methods, which are sensitive to the research subject, allowed establishing and substantiating statistically significant differences. The obtained results should be taken into consideration by coaches in physical and tactical-technical training for the representatives of team sports. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The purpose of the research is to find out empirically and theoretically substantiate the psychological causes of football players' fatigue. Methods. The ascertaining strategy of research and ranking of parameters has been applied. Valid and reliable psychodiagnostic methods have been used to measure parameters of professional maladjustment, self-assessment of psychophysiological state, differentiated assessment of performance, and the level of football players' emotional burnout. Results. It was found that the high level of football player's fatigue from the training-competitive cycle has been caused by a decrease in the efficiency of their psycho-functional systems: emotional changes (R=.920); a decrease in general activity (R=.810); a decrease in motivation to activity (R=.824); features of certain mental processes (R=.549); features of social interaction (R=.891). It has been shown that with a decrease in the indicators of the psychophysiological state, the feeling of fatigue increases: well-being (R=-.812); activity (R=-.840). As well as in relation to motivational factors of the appearance of fatigue: interest in sports (R=-.869); willingness to perform tasks (R=-.816). A statistically reliable inverse relationship has been established between all indicators of the psychophysiological state and predictors of fatigue: monotony, oversaturation, stress. It has been empirically established and explained that the drop in the level of football players' performance, as a result of fatigue, can be caused by external negative influences: experiencing psycho-traumatic circumstances (R=.924); "being cornered" (R=.896); a desire to curtail professional activity: reduction of professional duties (R=.936); changes in team's psychological climate: personal alienation (R=.924); changes in the emotional sphere: anxiety and depression (R=.882); inadequate selective emotional response (R=.867); emotional moral disorientation (R=.904); expansion of the sphere of emotional economy (R=.918); emotional deficit (R=.870); emotional alienation (R=.896). Discussion and conclusions. It has been summarized that football players with pronounced parameters of fatigue are much more often characterized by a deterioration in well-being, namely changes in the emotional sphere, a decrease in general activity and course of mental processes. At the same time, they are characterized by separate somatic vegetative disorders in sleep, peculiarities in social relations. In sports activities, they demonstrate reduced motivation and, accordingly, the lack of interest and motivation provokes a feeling of fatigue. It has been empirically found that the respondent football players with a pronounced feeling of fatigue demonstrate a high level of desire to stop their training and competition activities. These football players feel bored with monotonous, same-type activities and seek to change activity or diversify it. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aim. The empirical study of gender differences in the dispositional mental states of university teachers who were internally displaced during martial law. Methods. A combined research strategy was used, integrating the methods for comparing samples of female and male participants. The different types of dispositional mental states of the respondents were identified by the author's methodology for the study of dominant mental states. Results. It was discovered that the respondents' psychological content parameters showed statistically significant gender-based differences. Group 1 prevailed in terms of anxiety (U = 855.0; p = .000). Group 2 prevailed in terms of self-control (U = 975.0; p = .001); awareness of events (U = 707.5; p = .000); expected attitude (U = 1074.0; p = .006); expected result (U = 1067.0; p = .006) and psychological wellbeing (U = 1113.5; p = .014). The dispositional mental states of a female sample of internally displaced university teachers were represented by five components with a total variation of Sd = 74.527%. The male sample had four factors with a total variation Sd = 94.442%. It was stated that there were significant differences between the dispositional mental states of female and male teachers in terms of formal characteristics and content loading of components. Conclusions. The scientific value of empirical facts about the dispositional mental states of university teachers who were internally displaced as a result of wartime action is justified. The importance of incorporating the discovered results into scientific and educational processes is emphasised. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The purpose is to examine correlations between the coach’s personal and professional qualities and junior athletes with different levels of self-efficacy (n=103). Methods: correlation and cluster analyses, valid psychodiagnostic methods, coefficients for establishing statistical significance. Results. Self-efficacy was studied as a factor of successfulness in sporting activities and an indispensable component of professional training for junior athletes. The meaning of “subject activity” (SA) and “interpersonal communication” (IC) as components of junior athletes’ self-efficacy was examined. A statistically significant correlation (p<.05; p<.01) of the coach’s qualities and SA (t = -11.905; p=.000) and IC (t = -2.222; p=.040) was established. There were statistically significant differences in manifestation of self-efficacy of the junior athletes in Group 1 and Group 2 by scale SA (t = -11.905; p=.000); Group I and Group II by scale IC (t = -2.222, p=.040). The research shows that athletes’ evaluation of the coach’s personal and professional qualities is an important factor in the formation of selfefficacy both in the area of “subject activity” and in the area “interpersonal communication”. Junior athletes with a high level of self-efficacy by the criterion SA (Group 1) and IC (Group I) evaluate the coach’s personal and professional qualities at a high level by the following parameters: the gnostic parameter (М
1 =5.78±.66; М2=5.00±.866); the emotional parameter (М1 =6.22±1.98; М2 =7.33±.707); the behavioral parameter (М1=6.56±1.59; М2 =6.8±1.33). Junior athletes with a low level of self-efficacy by the criterion SA (Group 2) and IC (Group ІІ) evaluated the coach’s role in their success in the following way: the gnostic parameter (М1 =3.64±.505; М2 =4.27±.1.42); the emotional parameter (М1 =5.22±1.37; М2 =4.18±.603); the behavioral parameter (М1 =5.0±1.48; М2 =4.64±.1.12). Pearson’s (R) correlation analysis allowed finding that evaluation of the coach’s professional qualities (R= 259; p<.01) and relationships between junior athletes and the coach (R=.178; p<.05) are important for the formation of self-efficacy related to sport qualification upgrading SA. The development of self-efficacy related to interpersonal communication IC depends on affection for the coach’s personality (R=.301; p<.01) and real relationships between junior athletes and the coach (R=.261; p<.01). Conclusions. It is generalized that the understanding of the role of the coach’s personal and professional qualities in increasing self-efficacy will contribute to better organization of sports pedagogical process, the development of skills in mutual constructive activity for achieving high sport results. Research on relationships “coachathletes” is considered to be promising in the context of improving the coach’s qualification and the formation of “team self-efficacy” in young athletes. - Abstract
Purpose of the empirical research is to operationalize physical work ability of young athletes in the dimensions of psychological well-being. The research participants comprise Group 1 - male and female athletes in team sports (n=46; 52.87%): football and handball, and Group 2 - male and female athletes in individual sports (n=41; 47.13%): rhythmic gymnastics and boxing. Methods: the questionnaire "The Scales of psychological well-being" ("SPW") (Ryff, 1989; adapted by N. Lepeshinsky, 2007); Ruffier's Index (RI) was determined by the author's trial - J. Ruffier (1951), adapted by S. Vozniy and I. Malyarenko (2020); the questionnaire "Motivation for achieving success" ("MAS") T. Elers (2002). Results. It was established that junior athletes in team sports (Group 1) have a statistically significant advantage by two dimensions: positive relations (PR) (U=566.00; p=.001) and environment management (EM) (U=598.00; p=.003). A statistically significant advantage of junior athletes in individual sports was registered by four parameters (Group 2): self-acceptance (SA) (U=378.00; p=.000), personal growth (PG) (U=393.00; p=.000), Ruffier's Index (RI) (U=612.00; p=.005) and motivation for achieving success (MAS) (U=562.00; p=.001). We identified four statistically significant correlations by (p≤01) Ruffier's Index in Group 1 with the following parameters: motivation for achieving success, psychological well-being, purpose in life, positive relations; three statistically significant correlations (p≤05; p≤.01) in Group 2: motivation for achieving success, positive relations and autonomous position. It was found that the respondents with a high level of physical work ability (Group I) have an advantage by the parameters PWB (U=651.500; p=.021) and MAS (U=46.500; p=.000). Conclusions. The research focuses on permanent orientation of the representatives of individual sports (Group 2) towards internalized personal development that makes them strongly dissatisfied with their personal achievements and high indexes of physical work ability do not result in psychological well-being (rs=.182; p>.05). The study highlights that a high level of physical work ability of young athletes (Group I) is accompanied by high indexes of motivation for achieving success and psychological well-being. It was generalized that operationalization of physical work ability in the dimensions of psychological well-being allowed discovering a number of important scientific facts which should be introduced into educational and training process of juniors. - Abstract

- Abstract
The aim of the study is to perform comparative analysis of dominating psycho-emotional states of future specialists in a socionomic area under lockdown and martial law. A verification strategy is suggested for examining psycho-emotional states. The research used participant observation, valid and reliable psycho-diagnostic instruments, factor analysis, coefficients of empirical data reliability. It was established that in the comparison of the selected complex of psychological content parameters Group 1 (under lockdown) and Group 2 (under martial law) there are no significant differences. Two factor structures of the respondents’ psycho-emotional states were created: one of them – during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic (59.91%) and the other – during the martial law (69.89%). It was found out that the obtained data on psycho-emotional states during the lockdown and the martial law are essentially different that did not allow determining or disproving significant differences by means of statistical coefficients. The study substantiated that the established empirical facts are characterized by scientific novelty which should be taken into consideration by organizers of educational and professional training for specialists in a socionomic area.

- Abstract
The purpose is to examine a correlation of personality traits of young athletes with different levels of selfefficacy components (n=114). We assume that self-efficacy of young athletes depends on their personality traits. However, there are differences in the research participants with high and low levels of self-efficacy. Research methods: correlation and cluster analyses, valid psycho-diagnostic methods, coefficients for finding statistical differences. The research conducted in Ukraine under conditions of martial law allowed obtaining significant scientific results. Results. The study looks at self-efficacy as an important component of professional training for young athletes. It substantiates the structure of self-efficacy and reveals the essence of its components: "subject activity" (SAS) and "interpersonal communication" (ICS). The research identifies a statistically significant correlation (p<.05; p<.01) of self-efficacy with personality traits of young athletes. It confirms statistically significant differences in the young athletes of Group 1 and Group 2 by scale SAS (t = 29.445, p=.000); Group I and Group II by scale ICS (t = 5.453, p=.000). The study lists traits which are equally important for the formation of self-efficacy by two components, namely: a high level of the development of sociability (R = .279, p<0.01; R = .477, p<.01); even-temperedness (R = .262, p<.01; R = .195, p<.05) and openness (R = .215, p<.05; R = .195, p<.05) and a low level of neuroticism (R = -.393, p<.01; R = -.281, p<.01); depressiveness (R = -.287, p<.01; R = -.192, p<.05) and emotional lability (R = -.454, p<.01; R = -.284, p<.01). At the same time, masculinity is important for subject activity (SAS) (R = .319, p<.01), and extraversion is important for interpersonal communication (ICS) (r = .394, p<.01). Conclusions. The obtained results show one of the methods for operationalization of the problem-solving process in professional training for athletes. Understanding of the role of personality traits in increasing self-efficacy will help trainers develop the process of preparing young athletes for competitions successfully, taking into consideration the features of their selfawareness, form their mental toughness and constructive aggression in sports. The research on self-efficacy is promising in the context of improving professional skills of young athletes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Purpose of the study is to conduct empirical research and theoretically substantiate the impact of the parameters of life orientations (dispositional optimism, positive and negative expectations) on risk inclination of young female athletes. The sample of research participants involved representatives of six teams from different regions of Ukraine in team (Group 1) and individual sports (Group 2): handball (n=61; 59.80%) and track and field (n=41; 40.20%). The respondents included representatives of the Championship of Ukraine (Junior League) and regular participants of International, European and World sports competitions as members of the national team of Ukraine. Methods: valid psycho-diagnostic instruments, H-test of Kruskal-Wallis, Spearman's correlation coefficient (rs) and Mann-Whitney U-test. Results. It was established that Group 1 has an advantage over Group 2 by the parameters of risk inclination: emotional inclination (H=13.683; p<.001), controlling-regulating inclination (H=9.997; p=.002) and by the parameter of life orientations - positive expectations (H=3.998; p=.046). It was established and substantiated that the parameters of life orientations of young female athletes are the factors determining the motive for achieving success and affecting risk inclination. The strongest positive correlations of negative expectations with the assessment of risk inclination (rs=.685; p<.010) and motivation for achieving success (rs=.425; p<.010) are an evidence of excessive, immoderate aspiration to achieve a desirable result, which can lead to instant, phenomenal success, or failure, disappointment and even physical and psychoemotional traumas. On the contrary, moderate mindset, systemic training, improving tactical-technical actions and personal technical mastery reinforce positive expectations and boost dispositional optimism, contributing to young athletes' understanding that they are on the right track and their victory is inevitable. There were statistically significant differences in the respondents in the comparison of a low level (Group I) and a high level of dispositional optimism (Group II) in a number of parameters. The study substantiated that a high level of dispositional optimism is orientation towards cognitive and behavioral risk inclination accompanied by positive and negative expectations with dominance of motivation for achieving success. Conclusions. We generalized that the parameters of life orientations affect risk inclination of young female athletes. Motivation for achieving success and avoiding failure and risk inclination are predictors of life orientations of young female athletes, designing their career in sports. The obtained results should be taken into consideration by trainers working with young female athletes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The purpose was to compare the researched parameters based on gender differentiation and to determine young athletes' dispositional optimistic and pessimistic mental states. The study's participants were young people aged 15 to 19 years (M=17.03; SD=±3.98), who regularly practiced sports and competed in all-Ukrainian and international sports tournaments. Respondents were divided into two groups based on gender: Group 1 - female representatives: handball, athletics (n=102; 55.74%); Group 2 - male representatives: football, freestyle wrestling, and weightlifting (n=81; 44.26%). Methods: valid and reliable psychodiagnostic methods used in sports research and standard purposeful non-participant observation. The following tests and coefficients were used to assess statistical reliability: H-test of Kruskal-Wallis, Spearman correlation parameters (rs), ranking (Rg), and factor analysis ANOVA. Results. The H-test of Kruskal-Wallis revealed differences in the studied parameters, disclosing that junior female athletes (Group 1) outperformed in (CN (H=7.717; p=.005), SSS (H=14.049; p=<.001) and PR (H=7.996; p=.005). Junior male athletes (Group 2) prevailed for GAL (H=9.041; p=.003) and DS (H=11.686; p=<.001). The correlation analysis revealed sixteen statistically significant associations. The ranking recorded the same first position in both samples: Group 1 - Op (Rg1; rs=.989) and Group 2 - Op (Rg1; rs=.982), and then the parameters were arranged differently. It was discovered that there was a statistically significant influence of negative relations of dispositional optimism/pessimism with protective mechanisms in stressful situations of the sports activity - Group 1: DS (Rg2; rs=-.982), CN (Rg4; rs=-.967), Ps (Rg9; rs=-.929) and Group 2: Ps (Rg7; rs=-.902). The subjects' dispositional optimistic and pessimistic mental states were constructed into two-factor structures. The following mental states characterized the sample population of junior female athletes (Group 1): F1G1 - "Value-meaning disposition"; F2G1 - "Responsible and expected disposition"; F3G1 - "Protective-avoidant disposition". A group of junior male athletes (Group 2) demonstrated the following mental states: F1G2 - "Value-meaning disposition"; F2G2 - "Responsible and expected disposition"; F3G2 - "Distant-confrontational disposition". Conclusions. It is summarized that timely differentiation and identification of dominant mental states by coaching staff and athletes themselves can significantly increase sports psychological literacy, and affect not only local sports results but also the planning of a sports career and life position. - Abstract
The purpose is to conduct empirical research on the correlation of emotional intelligence with footballers' motivational orientation by functional realization (the basic position). The study identifies differences in the parameters of footballers' emotional intelligence by the basic position. The research involved 74 footballers representing such football clubs: FC "Krystal" (Kherson, Ukraine), FC "Chliba Khersonshchyny" (Kherson, Ukraine), FC "Enerhiia" (Nova Kakhovka, Ukraine), FC "Mykolaiv" (Mykolaiv, Ukraine). Research methods: valid and reliable psycho-diagnostic instruments - the method "EQ questionnaire" (Hall, 2000) and questionnaire "Athlete's Motivational Orientation" ("AMO") (Smoldovskaya, 2022); purposeful non-participant observation with standard protocols; statistical methods for identifying significant differences. Results. The study established empirically and substantiated that functional realization (the basic position) in footballers' competition activities correlates with motivational orientation and sufficiently developed emotional intelligence. The integral index of emotional intelligence (IIEQ) of strikers (Me=38.0) and midfielders (Me=38.0) is characterized by a high level and obvious motivational orientation towards a high result. The study shows that a high level of development of footballers' ability to manage their emotions and self-motivation corresponds to a high level of involvement in the activity performed and aspiration for team cohesion, for a synergetic contact with spectators. Four strongest (p≤.010) significant correlations of self-motivation with subject-directed (r
s =.289), result-directed (rs =.344) and personally-directed motivational orientation (rs =.244) and empathy with socially-directed motivational orientation (rs =.267) were established. Conclusions. The study substantiates that focusing on the development of footballers' emotional intelligence, in particular, of such parameters as selfmotivation and empathy can give an essential advantage over competitors. It shows that the obtained scientific facts constitute a number of operational elements which should be taken into consideration by coaches in team sports. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published
