The diploma thesis deals with the ethical topic of guilt and its processing in persons serving a sentence. The paper elaborates with the topic of guilt on a practical and theoretical level. The theoretical framework deals with concepts related to guilt (morality, good, evil, conscience, sin), then presents the concept of guilt and the possibilities of its processing. Based on the description of the theory, the theoretical part formulates questions, which are used in the practical part. It describes three case studies of persons serving a sentence. The research is devoted to their individual perception of guilt and subsequently to ways of coping with it. Special attention is paid to Christianity and its influence on the perception of guilt, as two persons believe in God. Research shows that guilt is a fundamental issue for people in prison, whether it is in its negative or positive manifestations. The research confirms the fundamental theoretical starting point that there is a line from the negative effect of guilt to its positive contribution. As all three convicts confirm, guilt is the path to awareness, acceptance, and finally to the correction. The aim of this thesis is a theological reflection of contemporary Czech poetry. Specifically, the thesis deals with collections Úloža by Ivan Martin Jirous, Darmata by Petr Hruška and Osip míří na jih by Marie Iljašenko. It focuses mainly on their concepts of man, the world and transcendence. The work is divided into three chapters, the first two being a necessary prelude for chapter three. The first part of the thesis presents some of the ways in which theology can relate to poetry. Language, imagination and metaphor are presented as common fields of both theology and poetry. Furthermore, this chapter defines two possible theological approaches to poetry: The theological approach to poetry as an object of theology and as a subject of theology. In the second chapter, there is literary analysis of the collections, which is necessary for the third part. In the third part, which is the main focus of this thesis, a theological reflection of selected collections is presented. Its aim is not only to examine whether and how the selected themes in the collections correlate with their conception in theology, but also to present what they may be inspirational for theology.

The thesis "The Sacrament of Confirmation - the theological understanding in the particular documents and regulations of the dioceses (in Slovak Republic and Czech Republic) and its comparison with the theological concept in the universal magisterial documents from the second Vatican council until now" deals with the sacrament of confirmation as the essential part of Christian initiation which constitutes the heart of sacramental organism and shapes being of every Christian. First two chapters analyze presence of the seven aspects of confirmation in universal and particular magisterial documents (history of salvation; sacramental sign; relationship to the rest of initiation, common priesthood and apostolate; effects; recipient and catechesis; minister; ecumenical perspective). Then in the third chapter, the two approaches are compared and critically considered.

In his books, Jean Daniélou comments on the currents of thought of his time, which often grow out of the nihilistic negation of transcendence, which hurts man and his (inter) subjective position in the world, or as Daniélou says: in reality. The only correct reality for him is one that transcends the realm of visible things (although it necessarily affects it) and which is fulfilled in the eschatological vision of the future. Daniélou's vision of history is also connected with this view of the future: for him, Christianity is both a history and a path leading to salvation, and thus it is written into the history of salvation, but it is also in history. That is, it is influenced by specific socio-cultural coordinates, which it has the ability to create and transform itself. Both of these conceptions of history merge and can be interpreted in the incarnate Word: Christ is the beginning and the end of history. Daniélou speaks of a markedly Christological orientation of history as an already started eschatology (eschatologie commencée). This orientation is also reflected on the individual level, where one has to transform oneself with one's own transformation to become like the Divine image. Barbora Sadilová Title Augustine's theology of resurrection in the light of Sermones 361-362 Abstract The submitted thesis aims to present Augustine's theology of the resurrection. After examining the biblical foundations of the theology of the resurrection, the thesis deals with the concept of the topic by selected patristic authors before Augustine. The second chapter presents Augustine's doctrine of Christ's resurrection as the cause and beginning of the final resurrection of the dead. In the third part, the work focuses first on the biblical grounding of Augustine's theology of the resurrection of the dead and his controversy with contemporary opponents of the resurrection, especially with Manichaeism and Neoplatonism. Subsequently, his conception of the eschatological resurrection of the body is systematically introduced and his vision of the renewed world and life in it is outlined. However, it pays special attention to the spiritual, religious and ritual dimension of this activity. It examines the extent to which this dimension has been automatically associated with this activity throughout history and the extent to which it has been required by society. The civil and ecclesiastical hierarchy, especially since the Council of Trent, has issued various instructions offering a way to validly administer baptism to children in extraordinary circumstances where the death of a child is imminent. Homosexuality and Teaching of the Catholic Church is a critical analysis of homosexuality as an anthropological phenomenon examined from dogmatic and theological as well as ethical perspective laid down in the Catholic teaching and reviewed in the context of the Apostolic Exhortation on Love in the Family, Amoris laetitia. It confronts particular anthropological approaches towards theoretical and practical problems concerning homosexual orientation with the emphasis put on their compatibility with the Catholic moral doctrine. Searching for a conform personally accepted and positive integration of homosexuality perceived as irregular and difficult situation according to the Christian understanding of integral personal and spiritual growth in relation to a man practicing his Catholic faith is the main task of this diploma thesis.

The study is going to analyse Ambrose's treatise De paenitentia and evaluate its importance for the theology of penance. After presenting the evolution of the practice of penance in early Church till 4th century, especially in West and with focus on the Novatian crisis as a milestone, the study is further dealing with Ambrose of Milan's personality and works, namely with his treatise De paenitentia; not only in the context of the contemporary polemics with Novatian heresy, but mainly as a first formalized and structured theology which will be later developed into the understanding of penance as one of the Church's sacraments. This bachelor thesis deals with the concept of the Eucharist sacrament in selected writings of Joseph Ratzinger, which deal directly with the Eucharist, or in which the sacrament plays an important role. The aim of this work is to describe and evaluate how Ratzinger approaches the Eucharist, its essence, history and way of celebration. First, the use of biblical sources and citations of ancient, medieval and modern authors is analyzed in this work. In the next section, attention is paid to how Ratzinger uses the terms of the Eucharist, especially the following: sacrifice, communion, Lord's Supper. The last chapter deals with the form of the liturgical celebration of the Eucharist and the connection between its external and internal aspects, between form and content. Ratzinger views the Eucharist primarily as a sacrifice and accentuates its Christological-soteriological dimension. It is also very important for him to keep the triunity of events - the Last Supper, the Crucifixion and the Resurrection - which led to the establishment of the Eucharist and which only together make sense to this sacrament, in the understanding of the Eucharist.

Man as homo moralis in Thomas Aquinas and according to it in evolutionary psychology In my thesis I want to compare two different views on human nature: The view of a Christian, enhanced by the theological ethics, and the view by a non-believer who deals with the origin and goal of the human life. These two points of view will be represented by the philosophy and theology of Thomas Aquinas on one hand and the evolutionary ethincs on the other hand. My goal is especially to point out the the difference between two views on the human being: typically religious one and typically secular one, and their opinion on the origin and purpose of it. I will try to answer the question on existence of such field, which is not explorable by tools of natural (evolutionary) ethics and which points to the "theological" dimension of human nature. On the other hand I will ask whether the traditional concepts of human nature can get by the exploration of the modern science and whether they can be enhanced by it. The outcome of my work should finally be above all practical: how to argue in behalf of the Christian point of view, dealing with the topics of bioethics or Human Rights as general. The aim of the thesis is to investigate what is the impact of new religious movements' concepts on practicing Catholics in Ostrava region, especially focused on angel's topic. The first part of the thesis introduces the Catholic doctrine on angles. In the second chapter new religious movements' view on the angelic beings is introduced. Into consideration mostly written texts by new movements' authors are taken, especially of these with the biggest influence on Czech spiritual sphere. The third part analyses how deeply active Catholics are influenced by new movements' ideas and their angels' concepts. Method used is quantitative research amongst Ostrava region Catholic parishioners. This rigorous thesis is an extension of the previous diploma thesis. The thesis "Sacraments in the documents of the second Vatican council" deals with selected articles of the individual constitutions, documents and decrees of the council, which concern sacraments in the theological context. The articles are selected from the constitution on the Sacred Liturgy Sacrosanctum concilium, constitution on the Church Lumen gentium, pastoral constitution Gaudium et spes, document about the Apostolate of the Laity Apostolicam actuositatem, decree on Ecumenism Unitatis redintegratio and the decree on the life and service of priests Presbyterorum ordinis. The thesis is based on the acts of council and it maps the progress of creating the articles. A brief summary of history of the formation of individual constitutions, documents and decrees is mentioned before the analysis of the articles. The chapters are divided by the documents. At the end of the thesis is a chapter containing important themes concerning the Sacraments that came up from the mapping of the article.

In my diploma's thesis "Representation of the Christ's sacrifice during the Holy Mass in the documents of the magisterium." to deal with the way how the church doctrine and faith in this mystery in their documents is submit. The first part is devoted to describe Son's realitonship to Father in Trinity and analysis of the key texts of the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments that the Church on this topic covered. The second part deals with some texts approved documents, the Council of Trent on the Eucharist and the Sacrifice. The third part contains the view of Pope Pius XII. on the Eucharist and its actualization, as reflected in documents Mystici corporis, Mediator Dei and Humani generis. The fourth part of my work explores ways of presenting the mystery of the Eucharistic Sacrifice in selected documents II. Vatican and during the pontificate of Pope Paul VI., John Paul II. and Benedict XVI.

The aim of this thesis "Theology of Labour of St. John Paul II." is to summarize John Paul II.'s theological view of human labour, its impact on Christian spirituality and evangelization and pastoral efforts of the church. There is also attention paid to influence of his theology on further social magisterial texts. At the end, there is a reflection of impacts of this teaching to everyday economic and political life. The thesis is based on magisterial documents of John Paul II., especially on the encyclical Laborem exercens and his two further social encyclicals, Sollicitudo rei socialis and Centisimus annus. Other inspiring ideas come especially from reflections on St. Joseph and from the theology of body. There is a discussion on relation of human labour to the Mystery of The Holy Trinity, on perichoretical and sharing character of human labour. As a part of discussion on spirituality, there is the work state of life defined as analogy to Christian state of life. Human labour is a key to the social question, it is a tool for our salvation and therefore the mission of the church. Theology of the Sacrament of Reconciliation in Časopis pro katolické duvhovenstvo/Časopis katolického duchovenstva The theme of this thesis is a theological reflection of the sacrament of reconciliation, as it recorded in Časopis katolického duchovenstva [Journal of the Catholic Clergy] throughout the whole period of its publication in the years 1828-1949. In the first part a short history of the journal is presented. The second part examines, in the chronological order, individual articles and shows how selected authors deal with the studied issue, which aspects they stress and on what conception of the sacrament of reconciliation they build their argument. In the exposition of these articles their authors are also briefly introduced. Author of this thesis has chosen several fundamental perspectives for his analysis and for his structuring of his treatment of individual articles. These approaches to texts were: author's own basic stance, the establishment of the sacrament, its historical development, parts assigned to the penitent and to the priest, the effects of the sacrament of reconciliation and author's conception of this sacrament. Bachelor thesis "The Sacrament of Penance in the Roman Catechism, and in the Catechism of the Catholic Church" analysis the historical context of the catechism's emergence (Chapter 2). For better clarity of the recherché part, the elaboration of catechism's contents was divided into three separate chapters. Joint analysis of both catechisms is viewed in terms of the circumstances of origin, content, and size, description, in whole or in part with a more general focus on the sacraments (Chapter 3). Own significance, the importance, the structure of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and its integration into everyday life and salvation of man is described in detail and separately for the Roman Catechism (Chapter 4) and the Catechism of the Catholic Church (Chapter 5). Theological reception of a current issue' first shows the presence of this issue in the world of media, especially in the weekly catholic magazine called 'Katolický týdenik'. It introduces the book 'Family Tree Healing' by Dr. K. McAll and the doctrinal note of the Czech Bishops' Conference (CBC) which speaks about this issue. The main part is a theological analysis which compares arguments of this note with the original texts by Dr. McAll and P. Hampsch. The aim of this thesis is to find out whether the practice of Family Tree Healing contradicts the teachings of the Church as the doctrinal note states. Diploma thesis " The Concept of the Church in the work of Walter Kasper " is about ecclesiology of German Cardinal Walter Kasper. The first part describes briefly his personality and his work in academic role and pastoral role as the diocesan episcopus and his work in the Roman Curia. This marked his understanding of the church. It follows a description of his journey from pneumatological ecclesiology to communio ecclesiology. After that thesis will mediate to readers current form of the festivals and their experience in Prague Jewish comunity through the interview with the members of Prague Jewish comunity.

FRANTIŠEK ŽÁK SJ (1862-1934) AND THEOLOGY OF CREATION The thesis is focused on the personality of Czech Jesuit priest František Žák SJ (1862-1934) and his theology of creation. In the first chapter the life story of František Žák is presented - the description of key moments of his life offers a basis for an evaluation of his personality. Consecutively, his writings are summed up in different thematic groups according to author's interest. In the second chapter Žák's main work of systematic theology - Soustavná katolická věrouka pro lid - is portrayed. Themes of different parts of the book are outlined and special focus is put on its fifth chapter, which deals with God the Creator. This question will be examined in the third chapter of this thesis. The fifth chapter of the book will be thematically and formally analyzed - with special regard to the way how Žák uses the evidence from the Scripture and Church Fathers. Finally, author's main work will be examined in comparison with the writings of his contemporaries Josef Pospíšil, Richard Špaček and Jan Valerián Jirsík. Unity of the Church: Particular Churches and the Universal Church in the Ecclesiology of Henri de Lubac Abstract The main aim of the thesis is to present part of the ecclesiological work of French theologian Henri de Lubac devoted to external structure of the Church. The thesis is based on reflections of de Lubac's book Les églises particulieres dans l'Église universelle, which is analysed in the overall context of his theological thought. Our goal is to define relations between particular churches and the universal Church and analyse theological principles of the institutional setting of the Church. The basic principle is found in theologically defined unity of the Church. Relations between the Church and culture, problem of acculturation and relations between principles of unity and plurality of the Church are among other topics of the paper. We came to the conclusion based on the analysis of the de Lubac's work, the Church is found on the theological principles even as a visible institution. The thesis Teaching of the Eucharist sacrament in Magisterial documents from 2nd Vatican council to present at first, concerns with the Second Vatican Council, where, first of all, deals with the selected paragraphs from the particular constitutions, which participated essentially on the formation and elucidation of the eucharistic dogma. For the reason of coherent image, not a single decree was left behind (1st chapter). The teachings on the eucharist after the Second Vatican Council is divided according to the pontificates, those are an interest of the following chapters (2nd - 4th chapter). Each chapter deals only with the most important documents of the period. At first, the structure for every document is presented and after that follows a commentary on the eucharistic teachings, that indicates effect of this sacrament (the source and the summit of all the action; the unity of church and faithful). The fundamental questions are: Why was the given document written? Who wrote it? On what did an author reacted? The main goal of the work is to show the continuous church teachings on the eucharist. For the church can not be divided in the pre- and post-conciliar.

The Grace Working in the States of Life The work procedes with the view of God's grace as the special gift for each state of life. I come from the fact that man, without God, who created him was not anything that was created by God. Without his grace could not even reach salvation. It treats also basic division of the grace to ,sanctifying grace and sacramental graces. The work of grace in human life is discussed in the section calling and election. Implementation of life in grace is developed in four states of life: lay, consecrated, the ministerial priesthood and married state. The Diploma thesis "Corpus verum et mysticum. The development of the relationship between the Eucharist and the Church in Theology from the 9th to the 12th century." is based on theological debates of the 20th century, concerning the application of the term corpus mysticum. While magisterial documents use this expression for the Church, a French theologist Henry de Lubac calls attention to the original holder - to the Eucharist. That's why this Diploma thesis is interested in a conception of the Church and the Eucharist, in their relationship and in their terminological development. It proceeds in chronological order. Initially it tries in a mentioned point of view to find and evaluate default texts in the Holy Scripture (Chapter 1), which were received by distinguished authors in the patristic period (Chapter 2). They influenced afterwards theologists of the Middle Age from 9th to 12th century. During this period the Eucharistic doctrine and the theological synthesis corpus triforme (Church, Eucharist and historical-heavenly Jesus) were being formed and developed; each of them was influencing the other one. This diploma thesis "De aeternitate mundi St. Thomas Akvinski" deals with one of the themes that are nowadays more or less omitted - the eternal world. It was one of the greatest intelectual arguments in the half of the 13th century. The result of those arguments was the clarification of the relations between theology and philosophy. The intense of these disputations led to the restriction of philosophical studies at university in Paris. Two groups of learners arose there. Not only were there philosophical disputes between these groups of scholars, but also political ones. We observe the life or a saint in this discomposed era. The saint, that looks for the truth honestly and for this fact he is criticized by both groups. It might be the reason why the publication De aeternitate mundi the brilliant and balanced work about our problem. A small diamond that glitters in the darkness of history.

Anglická anotace / English annotation Bc. Renata Černá - THE LIFE AND WORK OF REGINALD DACÍK This thesis comprises two sections: the first part deals briefly with the rich and varied life of Reginald Dacík; the other part, which is more voluminous, is devoted to Dacík's work, in particular to his work published in book form. Father Dacík had a beneficial influence on the lives of a large number of Christians. He belonged to a well-known and active generation of Moravian Dominicans and is considered to be one of the foremost representatives of Neo-Thomism in the Czech Republic. He followed the example of St Thomas Aquinas, whose work he took as an authoritative basis in the fields of dogmatics, morality and spiritual life. During his life he experienced persecution and imprisonment, even his life was in danger. He was brought face to face with his own human weakness as well as with the limits of the life in this world. When in prison, he was not allowed to write, but living a life with God, he was able to witness it, and moreover, he managed to teach in secret. Having been released from prison, he worked at Velehrad with the Congregation of Sisters of St Cyril and Methodius. In the Diploma thesis entitled "The Necessity of the Baptism for Salvation in the Light of the Document of ITC" in terms of the document of ITC "The Hope of Salvation for Infants Who Die without Being Baptized" and on the base of the selected parts of the Holy Scripture, magisterial, theological, liturgical texts questions about the necessity of the baptism for salvation of infants and adults are discussed. The baptism is the proper way for all people to be saved. The history of salvation is christocentric; everything is focused on Christ and, vice versa Christ turns to every man, accepts every man. Therefore, one can suppose that for every adult who cannot make an explicit decision for Christ, this Christ acceptation together with its implicit decision is enough for its salvation. On the other side, church prays for those infants who died without being baptized and who could not make neither explicit nor implicit decision for Christ. There are sufficient theological reasons to suppose that these infants will be saved because Christ has accepted also all these children.

It points out marriage and its issues. The aim is to look at the issue in its historic context. In the first chapter, where is delt with the historical and theological matters I gradually and widely introduce the city of Alexandria with its religious and cultural thinking. At the end of the more general part I decribe the very person of Clement of Alexandria. In the second part of the first chapter I outline the issue of marriage in the historic and cultural therms. The second and third chapter is a discovery of the theological teaching of Clement of Alexandria about marriage. The second chapter introduces analyzed tracts and a diachronnic analyzis ,where are submited different specific teachings on marriage from the christian, phylosothical and cultural points of wiev. English annotation - The Negative theology in writings of the Denys the Areopagite In this thesis I am trying to describe the middle way of testifying about God, his presence, his being, about his activity in the soul of men and his activity in the World. Polemics between Antonín Lenz and Alfons Šťastný from Padařov Jan Mikeš This thesis describes the theological debate between Antonín Lenz and Alfons Šťastný from Padařov, which took place in the second half of the 19th century. This debate was the Czech contribution to the European catholic discussion on liberalism. None of the works were analysed in detail before. This thesis focuses on those parts of the work of Lenz and Šťastný that entail questions addressed by contemporary theology of that age. Both were prime representatives of free thinking in their time. The first chapter is an introduction into the contemporary context in which the polemics started, furthermore the life and work of both authors. The second chapter presents the anticlerical work of Štastný and the reaction of Lenz to them. The third chapter concerns Lenz's christology described in his apologetic work against Štastný. V úvodu seznamuje práce s dějinami revue Na hlubinu, příčinami a okolnostmi jejího vzniku, nesmírné popularity i následného zániku. Krátce pojedná též o jejích pokračovatelích. Resumé: Jan Poříz, Prayer of St. Augustine This work is offering to introduce St. Augustine as a man and a teacher of prayer and to include his spiritual teaching into the whole of his theology and philosophy and also into the wider events of the religious and common history. The prayer and the spiritual life remains the focal point from which the whole is being observed. They proved and emphasize their importance for the entire of the saint's teaching and his life. The first Chapter is pointing out the historical aspect of Augustin's times. In three points it moves from the more distant circumstances, from the onset of Christianity and the fall of the West-Roman Empire, through to the position of the Church at these times, till the treatise about Augustin's predecessors who already worked on the theme of prayer. Ecclesiology in the works of Silvester Mario Braito OP This bachelor thesis is concerned with the development of ecclesiology in the works of the Catholic priest Silvester Mario Braito OP. The thesis has three parts. In the first part, it describes the events in the life of S. M. Braito, mainly with respect to their importance for his publishing activities. It also offers an outline of the development of Catholic ecclesiological thinking in the time when Braito was active. The second part then offers an analysis of S. M. Braito's ecclesiological articles in the bulletin Na hlubinu (Into the deep). The third part takes into consideration his ecclesiological thoughts in books. The work contains a review of Braito's church doctrine, defines the main concepts of his ecclesiological reflection and shows the sources he uses. At the end of this thesis, we evaluate Braito's contribution to the development of modern ecclesiology and sets the junctions with the church doctrine, as it has been defined by the Second Council of Vatican. Anglická anotace The theological work of Jan Valerian Jirsík Jan Hamberger This thesis deals with the theological work of the Czech 19th century author Jan Valerián Jirsík (1798-1883). Its first part consists of an introduction into the Czech historical context of the 19th century and the life of the author. Its second part presents a survey of the literary-theological work of Jirsík in three life phases: the first phase is demarked by his activity as chaplain and vicar, the second phase by his editorial activity for Casopis pro katolické duchovenstvo (trans. Magazine for catholic clergy) and the last phase by his pontifical years in the diocese of Southern Bohemia. His literary work is divided by theme into various periods, shortly described and characterized. The last and major section of this thesis deals with the most comprehensive and renown work of Jan Valerián Jirsík - Populární dogmatika (trans. Popular doctrine). This pivotal work of theologian Jirsík is discussed at large and analyzed by tractate, both apologetic and dogmatic. He has established and run a review for spiritual life Na hlubinu (1926-1948) (On depth), cultural review Výhledy (1939-1940) (Outlook) and homiletical magazine Katolický kazatel (1937-1941) (Roman Catholic preacher). The Church is the mystical Body of Christ and the individual Christians become/are limbs of this body - the Church. Jesus Christ is not only the Head of the Church, but also the bond of its unity. The principle of the complementarity is based on the fact, that all individual vocations in the Church require, complete and complement each other, and the all cooperate on Christ's mission of salvation. Anglická anotace The Christology in the work of Joseph Ratzinger Pavel Frývaldský This thesis presents an analysis of the significant Christological works of Joseph Ratzinger. The aim of this work is to find and examine the constant features and development of Ratzinger's Christological reflection. The comparative analysis of his work was done from two points of view: the work of Ratzinger during his academic engagement and the work of Ratzinger as Cardinal and head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. In a diachronic analysis we examine biblical sources, quotations of Fathers, medieval authors and present-day theologians. In the diachronic analysis we research these areas of interest: Christological titles, the theology of incarnation, the mystery of Jesus' life, the theology of the cross and the interpretation of resurrection. From the analysis of the Christological titles we learned, which titles Ratzinger considers to be important, how he comprehends them and how he elaborates on the question of origination. In the analysis of theology of incarnation we can see an expression of the relation between incarnation and the cross, Christ centrism, reflection of the hypostatic union.
