BackgroundThe application of telemedicine in home pulmonary rehabilitation interventions for the management of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) has achieved promising results. ObjectiveThis study aimed to develop a WeChat official account (Pulmonary Internet Explorer Rehabilitation [PeR]) based on social media. It further evaluated the effect of PeR on the quality of life, symptoms, and exercise self-efficacy of patients with COPD. MethodsThe functional modules of PeR were developed by a multidisciplinary team according to the electronic health–enhanced chronic care model (eCCM) components. A total of 106 patients were randomly selected (53 in the PeR group and 53 in the outpatient face-to-face group [FtF]). Pulmonary rehabilitation intervention was conducted for 3 months, and the outcome was observed for 3 months. The primary outcome was patient quality of life measured with the COPD assessment test (CAT). The secondary outcomes were evaluated using the modified Medical Research Council scale (mMRC), exercise self-regulatory efficacy scale (Ex-SRES), and St George’s Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ). ResultsThe intention-to-treat analysis was used in the study. A total of 94 participants completed the 6-month pulmonary rehabilitation program. Objective To explore the mortality rate and changes in splenic cell cycle and apoptosis in rats with abdominal infection. Methods An animal model of sepsis was induced by cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) in rats. At serial time points 0 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h after CLP, the animal death rate was calculated. The percentage of cell cycle G1, S, G2/M phase and apoptosis of isolated spleen cells were analyzed using flow cytometer. The expression of p27 of spleen tissue was determined by Western blot analysis. Results In the rat model of CLP-induced systemic inflammatory response, the mortality of animals gradually increased at 0 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h, 48 h and 72 h after CLP surgery, reaching a maximum of 88.81%. The abdominal infection in the animals gradually worsened at 0 h, 6 h, 12 h, and 24 h after CLP surgery, but localized and gradually alleviated after 48 h and 72 h. Within 48 h after CLP surgery, there was a blockage in the G1 phase of the spleen cell cycle, an increase in the percentage of apoptotic cells, and an elevation in p27 expression. After 48 h, the G1 phase blockage gradually recovered, the number of apoptotic cell decreased, and p27 expression declined. Additionally, within 48 h after CLP surgery, there was a decrease in the percentage of cells in the S and G2/M phases of the spleen cell cycle, but the percentage of cells in these phases gradually increased after 48 h. ConclusionsCell cycle arrest and apoptosis of the spleen cells are potentially contributed to the change of animal mortality after abdominal infection.

Purposes It is of great significance for the storage and utilization of solar energy to develop high-efficiency non-precious metal oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalysts that can be used in water splitting under near-neutral conditions. Methods FeOOH@Ni-Bi/NF electrocatalyst was constructed in two steps by electro-oxidation treatment and electro-deposition of Ni(OH)2/NF that obtained by hydrothermal method. Findings The large number of active sites provided by nickel foam (NF) substrate and three-dimensional nanosheet array structure of the catalyst facilitate the mass transfer process of OER. In addition, the electrochemical activity of catalyst is greatly enhanced by modulating the electro-oxidation degree of Ni-Bi and the amount of deposited FeOOH. Catalytic performance of the optimized FeOOH@Ni-Bi/NF is tested in near-neutral medium (0.1 mmol/L K2B4O7) with an overpotential of 394 mV and a Tafel slope of 54.2 mV/dec at 20 mA/cm2, showing excellent catalytic activity and long-term stability for OER.

Objective To analyze the therapeutic effect of microsurgery on patients with severe aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SaSAH). Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 14 SaSAH patients admitted to Beijing Chao-Yang Hospital, Capital Medical University from December 2017 to November 2019. General information, Hunt Hess grading, Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), time of rebleeding, surgery time, examination method, aneurysm size, prognosis, and postoperative follow-up were collected. Results A total of 14 patients with SaSAH were enrolled, including 5 males and 9 females, 8 patients with Hunt-Hess grade Ⅳ and 6 with grade Ⅴ. Seven cases experienced rebleeding after admission, with an average time between the onset of symptoms and rebleeding being 11.21 hours. Intracranial aneurysm rupture was confirmed by computed tomography angiography (CTA) or digital subtraction angiography (DSA) before operation in 13 cases. All 14 patients underwent microsurgical aneurysm clipping after definite diagnosis. There were 5 cases of transtentorial herniation and 3 cases of subfalcine herniation. Bone flaps were removed during surgery for all patients with cerebral herniation. In 14 cases, Glasgow prognostic score (GOS) was 4 in 2 cases, 3 in 3 cases, 2 in 7 cases, and 1 in 2 case at 6 months follow-up. Conclusion Treating SaSAH responsible aneurysms within 24 hours is an important principle for preventing intracranial rebleeding, reducing mortality, and improving prognosis. Microsurgery remains an important method for treating SaSAH, especially for patients with intracranial hematoma and progressive intracranial hypertension."

Although structures of vitrified supramolecular complexes have been determined at near-atomic resolution, elucidating in situ molecular structure in living cells remains a major challenge. Here, we apply a novel but simple liquid-cell technique, developed previously for real-time imaging of the dynamics at a liquid-gas interface, to image wet biological samples. With extra scattering from the liquid phase, the transmission electron micrographs show amplitude contrast comparable to that in negatively stained samples. Single-molecule domains are resolved in the protein complex GroEL imaged in buffer solution at room temperature. Moreover, various stages of virus cell entry, which are transient events with very few structural information to date, are also captured. Morphological details are reconstructed using the technique of individual particle electron tomography. These results demonstrate that this approach can be a valuable yet cost-effective technique complementary to other microscopy techniques for addressing important biological questions at the molecular level.

Green finance initiatives are encouraged in the world to attain green economic milestones. Therefore, it is the centered area of research for the plethora of researchers across the globe. Instead of this significant transition to green finance, the study analyzed the Chinese data to explore the relationship between Green Finance, Green Technology innovation, and Environmental Performance from 2003 to 2022 in the Chinese context. We preferred the CS-ARDL and panel Quantile regression models for exploring our hypothesis and to examine the relationship of these variables. Our results validated that both green finance and green technology innovation have positive effects in both the long-term and short-term on the environmental performance in numerous Chinese cities. The statistical results showed that Green Finance and Green technology innovation reduce the amount of CO2 emission. Hence our results confirmed that both Green Finance and green technology innovations are significantly contributing to the environmental quality of China as the selected cities considered for the study investigation are considerably more driven towards green initiatives. This research also discussed the potential for implementing policy interventions in the future to leverage the adoption of green technology and make a significant impact on the world’s environmental quality as China is the biggest emitter of CO2 emissions. The study places and puts forward valuable insights to the regulatory bodies that would likely help them in achieving sustainable milestones and would contribute to their long-term strategic landscape for the attainment of environmental objectives and heights.
