According to the evolution of programming technology, the study of queueing system and simulations have become complementary in providing an overall picture of a system. When considering the future role of simulation in the communication sector, it must be considered as part of the overall solution. A simulation gives a more realistic picture of the systems from a variety of angles, allowing for fewer assumptions and more accurate results, while not oversimplifying certain parts. Due to the difficulty of determining the number of arriving customers and the time required to provide service in a call center, performance measurements must be obtained prior to implementing the queuing system, as well as an understanding the effect of the estimation methods assuming the parameter to be measured is constant. The practical section includes the application of the Monte Carlo (MC) simulation in the generation of data for the Weibull distribution with two parameters. We used two methods of parameter estimation for the distribution's parameters: Ordinary Least Square (OLS) and Maximum Likelihood Estimator (MLE) with statistical measures Mean Square Error (MSE) to determine the best model estimation method. The distribution of the service time data was determined using the Easyfit5.5 and tests of good conformity. The study used real data from the Customer Service Center at the Communications and Informatics Company, one of the Ministry of Communications companies. The results indicate that the M/G/1 Queue model is data conformant. Additionally, the simulation results showed that the MLE method is the optimal method for parameter estimation because it achieves the lowest mean square error and sample size has an effect on the estimated values. The importance of higher education's function in knowledge transfer is demonstrated by the rising demand for research that measures its performance. Nonetheless, limited systematic reviews are being performed for studies that employed data envelopment analysis (DEA) in higher education. Thus, this paper aims to review the available literature that uses DEA in the assessments of higher education. A systematic review of Science Direct discovered 23 related studies using the Preferred Reporting Item for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) method. Further analysis of these articles resulted in four main themes, namely the extension of the DEA model, the integration of the DEA model with other methods applied in HEIs, the application of DEA in HEIs, and network DEA (NDEA). Additionally, the inputs and outputs utilised in every paper were identified in this article. These indicators enable practitioners to select appropriate indicators for their research and improve their understanding of the various DEA-based applications in higher education. This paper gives a systematic review of container handling operations analysis efficiency utilizing Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The goal of this research is to examine several studies on DEA models used to estimate efficiency. It was also intended to signify which decision-making unit (DMU), as well as input and output variables, were frequently utilized in this study. This paper examines 28 papers published on Scopus and Web of Science databases from 2011 to 2021. The chosen papers in this review were identified using a multi-stage selection procedure. Some eliminations were made to select research conducted employing DEA in container operations depending on the author's criteria. According to the findings, DEA in container operations was widely utilized in 2018 and 2021. Port was chosen as a decision-making unit in eleven studies (46%). The most commonly used input variable was "berth length" or "quay length". The most frequently used output variable was "container throughput." This study will enable financial institutions, corporations, academics, and researchers to analyse the port's efficiency by employing DEA for input and output variable selection, an essential stage in DEA applications.
