In this paper, the importance of mass and heat transfer characteristics of mixed convective conditions on nonlinear free convection flow embedded with non-Fourier flux and thermal radiation is numerically investigated. A partial Casson slip and mixed impact of thermophoresis and Brownian motion is considered at the elastic surface. To change the highly nonlinear partial differential equations into ordinary differential system, we used the similarity transformations and then the shooting method is employed to solve resulting equations. The significance of various physical parameters on the velocity, concentration and temperature profiles are investigated for both negative value of ferromagnetic interaction ([Formula: see text]) and positive value of ferromagnetic interaction ([Formula: see text]). The governing physical aspects of coefficient of skin friction, the Sherwood and Nusselt numbers are obtained for various embedded parameters. Our findings concluded that the ferromagnetic interaction is positive and then more mass transfer rate is identified compared to the negative value of ferromagnetic interaction, but whereas in friction and heat transfer rate, it was completely mixed sense (i.e., different effects have different results). Brownian motion has less Nusselt number values in positive ferromagnetism compared to negative ferromagnetism and quite opposite behavior is observed in the presence of thermophoresis, this happened due to nonlinear flux and buoyancy.

In most of practical situation multiple slips (velocity, temperature and concentration) has importance in manufacturing, medicinal, imaging processes and design of materials. In view of this, the present work considered the multiple slips on Magneto hydrodynamic (MHD) dissipative non-Newtonian fluid (Casson fluid) above a curved type of a stretching surface are studied. Multiple slips with Casson fluid have significance in controlling the blood flow distribution in human and animal bodies. The R–K fourth-order via shooting technique is used to convert the nonlinear governing equations. The impact of governing parameters is shown and explored graphically. The present investigation explores the multiple slip effects in governing equations under the influence of the magnetic field; the fluid’s temperature and velocity have reverse characteristics. In a few unique situations, the current findings have been in reasonable agreement with the current results. As opposed to when viscous dissipation is absent, the temperature distribution is higher when viscous dissipation is present. It helps us to decide depending on the industrial and manufacturing processes, whether dissipation has to be applied or not. The stretching parameter enhances the Skin friction coefficient and rate of heat transfer, while decreases the rate of mass transfer. Also, the fluid’s temperature decreases because an increase in Casson fluid parameter enhances the plastic dynamic viscosity, which creates resistance in the fluid motion.

Background:Chengannur, a town in the south Indian state of Kerala, was 1 of the worst affected towns during the floods of 2018. Post-flood, Kerala state was under the threat of many infectious diseases including leptospirosis, but did not report any leptospirosis infections.Objectives:This study was conducted with the following objectives: (1) Assess the knowledge, attitude and practices regarding the prevention of leptospirosis among the flood affected population and Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) of Chengannur; and (2) Analyze the factors responsible for and contributing to leptospirosis control in the area post flood.Methodology:A cross-sectional questionnaire based observational study was conducted among 2 groups: the flood affected population, and ASHA. The questionnaire was divided into 3 parts. Part A contained the socio-demographic information. Part B contained questions on assessment of knowledge, attitude, and practices regarding the prevention, and control of leptospirosis. Part C was only for the ASHA involved.Results:The final sample size was 331 (244 from the general population and 87 ASHAs). With respect to knowledge, attitude, and practice, the responses were dichotomized into correct and wrong responses. The mean knowledge score was 9.01 ± 1.08 (maximum score of 10), mean attitude score was of 3.61 ± 0.55 (maximum score of 4) and the mean practice score was 4.12 ± 1.05 (maximum score of 5).Conclusion:Knowledge and attitude scores did not significantly differ between the general population and ASHA, but the practice score showed a higher score among the ASHA, all of which could have probably contributed to the prevention of a leptospirosis outbreak in the region.

The current research work is devoted to study the exploration of dissipation and chemical reaction on MHD radiative Casson nanoliquid thin film flow generated due to the sheet stretching. Brownian motion, viscous dissipation, radiation and chemical reactions are considered, respectively, in energy and concentration equations. The popularly used similarity variables are utilized to remodel the nonlinear partial differential equations to a system of ordinary differential equations. The computational results are obtained for this system by adopting shooting technique. The impressions of significant flow variables on liquid stream are obtained through diagrams and tables. The outcomes of current work conclude that the thickness of thin film decreases with the rise of unsteady, magnetic and Casson parameters. Also, for higher estimates of non-Newtonian parameter a reduction in the coefficient of wall friction is noticed. The outcomes are matched with the viscous fluid flow and the results are in better agreement as a limiting case.

The Search and Rescue Transponders are used to search for the lost ship and aircraft. The transponder antenna resonates at the frequency of 9 GHz. The design is considered using FR4 (Flame Retardant) substrate of dielectric constant 4.4 and loss tangent 0.0019. A micro strip line fed rectangular patch antenna is designed in such a way that it resonates at 9 GHz. The return loss and gain for the designs are, Single Element Design: Return Loss is -24.291 dB, Gain Total is 5.9083 dB, 1*2 Array Design: Return Loss is -19.3635 dB, Gain Total is 8.5915 dB, 1*4 Array Design: Return Loss is -34.4773 dB, Gain Total is 9.4879 dB. Other antenna parameters such as VSWR, Radiation Efficiency, Gain 2D, Specific Absorption Rate are observed. The antenna structure is simple, flat and straightforward. The design can be embedded easily in Search and Rescue Transponder Transmitter because it is geometrically small. The simulation and analysis were done using High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS).

In this report, the effects of homogeneous-heterogeneous autocatalytic chemical reaction together with the variable thermal conductivity in the Maxwell fluid flow due to nonlinear surface of variable thickness are investigated. Thermal radiation and heat generation / absorption effects are also incorporated in the analysis. Appropriate scaling analysis is implemented to reduce the mathematical model describing the physics of the problem in to a set of nonlinear differential equations and are subsequently solved computationally. Graphical illustrations indicating the effect of pertinent parameters on momentum, thermal and solutal boundary layers are presented and discussed. The study reveals that velocity distribution shows a decreasing (increasing) tendency for larger values of wall thickness parameter when the velocity power law index is less (greater) than unity. The concentration of the homogeneous bulk fluid with catalyst at the surface decreases with increasing chemical reaction rate parameters.

Periodontitis is a condition that causes the periodontal tissues to deteriorate. Clinical or surgical therapies are widely established as a necessary step in the re-establishment of periodontal tissue health. The introduction of newer biomaterials has increased the number of treatment options accessible and improved the long-term prognosis of teeth with periodontal disease. The convergence of physical and biological components of material science is known as biomaterial science. Biomaterials include bioinert, bioactive and bioresorbable materials. The progression in the field of material science is phenomenal progressing from macro particles to nano particles. They are made up of organic or inorganic materials and are derived from vital or non-vital bone sources. The majority of these biomaterials have structural, mechanical, and biofunctional limits, and their performance is determined by patient factors such as age, defect size, and compliance. The numerous advances in biomaterials and their uses in periodontal therapy are reviewed in this chapter.

The network protocol BFD (Bidirectional Forwarding Detection) that detects issues between duplet forwarding engines. With minimum overhead, it detects flaws in physical media that doesn't allow for any kind of finding defects, including Ethernet, MPLS label switched channels, tunnels, and virtual circuits. One of the features is to verify the functionalities of static BFD. The work modes in BTS are Asynchronous mode, Demand mode, Echo mode. Currently only Asynchronous mode is supported in WBTS. BFD can be configured in two ways: Single hop and multi hop. Configured and commissioned the BTS & TRS setup in SEM tool and configured BFD in SEM (Site Element Manager) tool. BTS has come ON AIR and CS (Circuit Switch) PS (Packet Switch) calls are processing. Here we are checking the functionality of BFD whether it detects faults properly or not and removing routing connection from router side and check BFD alarm show up or not in SEM. Several calls are successfully placed after functionality check. Complete BFD process setting up and functionality check is automated. Where its check switch and router configuration as precondition and then perform BTS commissioning, checks BTS RNC BFD alarms and also placed call automatically. For switch, router configuration check and Wireshark log collection several key words are designed in Robot framework format so that script can be easily understandable by anyone. Configuring and verifying BIDIRECTIONAL FORWARDING DETECTION functionality in WCDMA Base Transceiver station (WBTS) is done manually and automated the complete process.

Gateways are an important unit of the automotive industry to automate the functions of a vehicle electrically. The gateway helps the Electronic control unit to process the data sent by the sensors by converting it into suitable format which is understandable by the ECU. This paper discussed the design and implementation of how the messages sent by the ECU's are handled by the gateway and also gives an insight of the overall working of a gateway and how to approach the designing of the gateways.

The intent of this study is to analyse the influence of nonlinear thermal radiation, thermophoresis, second order slip and magnetic field on the doubly stratified flow of a non-Newtonian micropolar fluid induced by a stretched sheet along with transport of thermal energy and mass species. The radiative heat flux term is modified using the non-linear Rosseland diffusion approximation. The partial differential equations governing the physics of the problem are recast into a set of coupled non-linear ordinary differential equations by using appropriate similarity transformations and later they are solved numerically using RKF-45 algorithm along with shooting technique. Results of the numerical solution are illustrated graphically for several sets of values of the governing parameters. Comparison of our results with the available results in literature for some special cases reveals close agreements. The results indicate that material parameter boosts the velocity and micro-rotation. The temperature ratio parameters that arise due to non-linear thermal radiation are seen to have opposite effect on temperature. It is seen that for strong thermal stratification reverse flow takes place accompanied by an undershoot in temperature. Excessive mass stratification and weaker molecular diffusivity resulted in a significant undershoot of species concentration.
