İntravezikal ektopik gebelik çok nadir görülen bir durumdur. Hastalar geleneksel ektopik gebeliklerden farklı olarak genellikle hematüri ile başvururlar. Olgumuz 22 yaşında olup karın ağrısı ve idrarda kanama şikayeti ile başvurdu. Fizik muayenede abdominal hassasiyeti gözlendi. ß-HCG 10033 IU/ml olarak ölçüldü. Ultrasonografide vezikouterin fistül traktı ve mesanede dış gebelik kesesi ile uyumlu görünüm izlendi. Sistoskopide mesane sağ yan ile posterior duvar birleşiminde fistül traktı ostiumu ve ektopik gebelik kesesi ile uyumlu kitle görüldü. Gözlenen yapı rezeke edildi ve koterize edilerek hemostaz sağlandı. Takiplerinde komplikasyon gözlenmeyen hasta eksterne edildi.Pelvik cerrahi öyküsü olan, adet gecikmesi ve hematüri şikâyeti ile başvuran hastalarda ayırıcı tanıda ektopik gebelik akılda tutulması gereken tanılardan biri olmalıdır., Intravesical ectopic pregnancy is a very rare condition. Unlike traditional ectopic pregnancies, patients generally present with hematuria. Our case presented with abdominal pain and urinary bleeding. Abdominal tenderness was observed on physical examination. The ß-HCG was measured as 10033 IU / ml. In ultrasonography, an appearance compatible with a vesicouterine fistula tract and an ectopic gestational sac in the bladder were observed. In cystoscopy, a mass compatible with a fistula tract ostium and ectopic gestational sac was observed at the junction of the right side of the bladder and the posterior wall. The observed structure was resected and cauterized to achieve hemostasis. No complications were observed during the follow-up, and the patient was discharged. Ectopic pregnancy should be one of the differential diagnosis of patients with a history of pelvic surgery who present with complaints of menstrual delay and hematuria.

Amaç: Normal term gebeliklerde fetal cinsiyetin maternalplasental alkalen fosfataz (ALP) seviyesine etkisininaraştırılması amaçlandı.Yöntem ve Gereçler: Termde olan 88 sağlıklı gebedeserum plasental ALP ölçümü yapıldı. Bebeklerin cinsiyetiçalışmaya alınan tüm kadınların doğumlarısırasında belirlendi. Materials and Methods: The serum placental ALP measurement was carried out in 88 healthy pregnant women at 38 - 39 weeks of gestation. Infant sex was determined at the delivery for all women included in this study. Placental ALP levels were compared between pregnant women bearing female and male fetuses. Results: Although placental ALP levels were slightly higher in pregnant women carrying female fetuses than in male bearing pregnant women, this difference was not statistically significant (p > 0.05). Conclusions: Fetal gender was seen not to affect maternal serum placental ALP levels in healthy pregnant women at 38 - 39 weeks of gestation. :&nbsp

Öz.Amaç: Kliniğimizde yapılan laparoskopik ve laparotomikhisterektomilerin operatif özelliklerini vekomplikasyonlarını karşılaştırarak hastanemiz verilerinisunmak.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Harran Üniversitesi Tıp FakültesiKadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Kliniğinde Ocak 2010 -Aralık 2015 tarihleri arasında yapılan laparoskopik velaparotomik toplam 159 histerektomi vakası retrospektifolarak incelendi. Hastalar laparoskopi (LSK) ve laparotomigrubu olarak ikiye ayrıldı. Hastaların demografiközellikleri, cerrahi tedavi şekilleri, operasyon süreleri,histerektomi endikasyonları ve postoperatif bulgularıretrospektif olarak incelendi.İstatistiksel çalışmalar içinSPSS programı kullanıldı. P < 0,05 değeri istatistikselolarak anlamlı kabul edildi.Bulgular: Yaş, vücut kitle indeksi (VKİ), preoperatif vepostoperatif hemoglobin (Hb) değerleri ve uterus çap 1 -çap 2 değerleri açısından her iki grup arasında anlamlı birfarklılık tespit edilmedi. Buna karşın uterus çap 3 ve totaluterin hacim açısından LSK grubunun laparotomi grubunaoranla istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı olarak daha küçükolduğu tespit edildi (sırasıyla p < 0,001; p = 0,018). Her ikigrupta da en sık histerektomi endikasyonu anormal uterinkanama idi. Perioperatif kan transfüzyonu ve hastanedeyatış süreleri her iki grupta da benzerdi. Fakat operasyonsüresi LSK grubunda istatistiksel olarak anlamlı derecededaha uzun idi (p < 0,001). Geçirilmiş cerrahisi olanhastalarda sıklıkla laparotominin tercih edildiği görüldü.Sonuç: Veriler değerlendirildiğinde laparoskopikhisterektomi vaka sayılarının kliniğin tecrübesiyle birliktegiderek arttığı görülmüştür.&nbsp

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, rat overinde iskemi-reperfüzyona bağlı doku hasarı üzerine N-asetil sistein ve resveratrol’ün etkisini değerlendirmektir. Yöntemler: 42 adet dişi Wistar rat temin edildi. Bu ratlar randomize bir şekilde 6 gruba eşit olarak bölündü (n=7). Oluşturulan gruplar; sham (S), torsiyon (T), torsiyon - detorsiyon (T - D), torsiyon - detorsiyon + salin (T - DT - S), torsiyon - detorsiyon + resveratrol (20 mg/kg) (T - DT - Res) ve torsiyon - detorsiyon + N-asetil sistein (150 mg/kg) (T - DT - NAC) şeklinde işlemlere tabi tutuldu. Sham grubu hariç diğer tüm gruplara iki saat boyunca ovaryan torsiyon işlemi uygulandı. Torsiyon grubu dışındaki diğer tüm gruplara 2 saat detorsiyon prosedürü uygulandı. Salin, resveratrol ve N-asetil sistein gruplarında yer alan ratlara; detorsiyon işleminden yarım saat önce intraperitoneal yoldan 2 ml serum fizyolojik, 20 mg/kg resveratrol ve 150 mg/ kg N-asetil sistein uygulandı. Ardından tüm ratlardan oksidatif stres markerları ve tümör nekrotizan faktör alfa (TNF-α) düzeylerinin çalışılması için 2 ml kan örneği ile histolojik inceleme için torsiyone edilen overler çıkarıldı. Histopatolojik değişiklikler ödem, konjesyon, hemoraji, lökosit infiltrasyonu ve follikül dejenerasyonu şeklinde tanımlandı. Bulgular: Histopatolojik hasar skorlamasına göre en az hasar sham grubunda, en fazla ise torsiyon-detorsiyon grubunda olduğu görüldü (1,00±0,81, 11,00±1,15, p, Objective: The aim of this study is evaluating the protective activity of N-acetyl cysteine and resveratrol treatment against ischemia - reperfusion damage created experimentally in rat ovaries. Methods: 42 female Wistar rats were used in our study. Rats were separated randomly into six groups consisting of seven rats as sham, torsion, torsion- detorsion, torsion-detorsion+saline, torsion-detorsion+resveretrol (20 mg/kg) and torsion- detorsion+N-acetyl cysteine (150 mg/kg). Except Sham, ovarian torsion procedure was implemented to all other groups for 2 hours. Detorsion procedure was implemented to other groups for 2 hours, except the torsion group. Medications were given through intraperitoneal way half an hour before the detorsion procedure in saline (two milliliter), resveratrol (20 mg/kg) and N-acetyl cysteine (150 mg/kg) groups. Then, 2 ml of blood samples were drawn for markers of oxidative stress and tumour necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) work and the ovaries, which were torsioned for the histologic examination, were ex­tracted from all rats. Edema, congestion, hemorrhage, leuko­cyte infiltration and degeneration of follicles were evaluated by histopathological examination. Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı; hastanemizde cerrahi tedavi uygulanan dermoid kist olgularının klinik bulguları, tanı yöntemleri, tümör belirteç düzeyleri, cerrahi tedavi yaklaşımları ve nihai patoloji sonuçlarını değerlendirmektir. Yöntemler: Çalışmamız retrospektif olarak planlanmıştır. Hastanemiz elektronik kayıt sisteminden dermoid kist nedeniyle tedavi edilen toplam 114 hasta çalışmaya dâhil edildi. Hasta dosyalarından demografik verilerin yanı sıra, pre-operatif klinik bulgular, tümör boyutu, ultrasonografik özellikleri, tümör belirteç sonuçları, cerrahi tedavi şekli (laparatomi-laparoskopi), uygulanan cerrahi tedavi şekli (kistektomi, ooforektomi, salpingo-ooforektomi, total abdominal histerektomi-salpingo-ooforektomi) ve patoloji sonuçları not edildi. Bulgular: Hastalarımızın ortalama yaşı 33,59±12,79 yıl (11 ile 70 yaş arası) olarak tespit edildi. Hastaneye başvuru sırasında en sık tespit edilen şikâyetin 32 hastada (%28,07) tespit edilen karın ağrısı olduğu görüldü. 70 hastanın (%38,59) ise insidental olarak tespit edildiği görüldü. Ultrasonografik incelemede ortalama kist boyutunun 47,70±48,49 cm2 olduğu tespit edildi (12 ile 300 cm2 arasında). Çalışmaya dâhil edilen 114 hastanın sadece 12’sinde (%10,52) Ca 125,29 hastada (%25,43) ise Ca 19-9 düzeyinin normal değerin üstünde olduğu saptandı. Nihai patoloji sonuçlarına göre en sık tespit edilen sonuç 103 hastada (%90,4) görülen dermoid kist idi. Diğer histopatolojik sonuçlar ise immatür teratom, skuamöz hücreli karsinom ve seröz karsinom idi. Sonuç: Ovaryan dermoid kistler genelde benign neoplazmlar olup nadiren malign transformasyon gösterirler. Tümör belirteçleri bu ayrımı yapmada tam anlamıyla yeterli olmamaktadır. Ancak özellikle ileri yaşlarda olan hastalarda malignite yönünden risk artışı olduğundan dikkatli olunmalıdır., Objective: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical findings, tumor markers, surgical treatment ap­proaches and final pathological results of the dermoid cyst subjects treated at our hospital. Methods: The study was planned retrospectively. 114 subjects with dermoid cyst were included from our hos­pitals electronic log system. Along with the demographic data’s, pre-operative clinical findings, tumor sizes, ul­trasonographic characteristics, tumor marker results, surgical treatment method (laparotomy-laparoscopy), administered surgical treatment procedure (cystectomy, oopherectomy, salpingo-oopherectomy, total abdominal hysterectomy-salpingo-oopherectomy) and pathology re­sults were recorded from the patient files. Results: Mean age of the patients was 33.59±12.79 years (11-70). Abdominal pain was observed in 32 patients (%28.07) as the most common complaint during hospi­tal admission. 70 patients (%38.59) were determined in­cidentally. Average cyst size was 47.70±48.49 cm2 dur­ing the ultrasonographic examination. Ca 125 level was higher than normal limits in only 12 (%10.52) patients and Ca 19-9 level was higher in only 29 (%25.43) of patients. The most common final histopathological diagnosis was dermoid cyst in 103 (%90.40) patients. Other histopatho­logical diagnoses were immature teratoma, squamous cell carcinoma and serous carcinoma. Conclusion: Ovarian dermoid cysts are usually benign neoplasms and rarely show malign transformations. Tu­mor markers are not fairly enough to make discrimina­tions. However especially in older patients treatment should be done cautiously due to the raised risk of ma­lignity.

Aim: We aimed to investigate whether the 50-gram oral glucose tolerance test is essential for the screening of gestational diabetes.Materials and methods: Clinical records related to 143 pregnant women who had applied to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of the OSM Hospital for antenatal care were included in this retrospective study. All of the pregnant women between 24 and 28 weeks of gestation had been screened for gestational diabetes. The patients were separated into two groups. The 50-gram oral glucose tolerance test had been performed in the first group (n=76), and the 75-gram oral glucose tolerance test in the second group (n=67). The women who had tested positive in the first group had undergone the 100-gram oral glucose tolerance test. All of the tests were performed in accordance with the recommendation of the American Diabetes Association.Results: In the first group who had undergone the 50-g OGTT, the mean age was 27.4 ± 5.5 (18–42) and 23 patients had tested positive. Of these, 13 patients (17%) had also tested positive with the 100-g OGTT. In the second group who had undergone the 75-g OGTT, the mean age was 26.9 ± 5.9 (17–43) and 14 patients (21%) had tested positive. Although the second group had tested positive for GDM more frequently, no statistically significant difference was found between the two groups (p>0.05). Discussion and Conclusion: The 50-g and 75-g OGTTs revealed a diagnosis of GDM at a similar frequency. Therefore, it may be concluded that the 50-g OGTT that consists of two stages and hence leads to a higher intake of glucose may not be essential., Amaç: Gestasyonel diyabet taramasında kullanılan 50 g glukoz yükleme testinin gerekli olup olmadığını araştırmak. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Bu retrospektif çalışmada Özel OSM Hastanesi Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum polikliniğine antenatal takip için başvurmuş olan 143 gebe kadına dair kayıtlar incelendi.Gestasyonel diyabet taraması uygulanan tüm gebeler 24–28. gestasyonel haftalar arasında idi. Hastalar iki gruba ayrıldı. Birinci gruba (n=76) 50 g glukoz, ikinci gruba (n=67) 75 g glukozyükleme testi yapılmıştı. Birinci grupta test sonucu pozitif olan gebelere 100 g oral glukoz yükleme testi yapılmıştı. Her iki yükleme testi ve 100 g oral glukoz yükleme testi, Amerikan Diyabet Birliği’nin önerdiği şekilde uygulanmıştı. Bulgular: 50 g glukoz yükleme testi yapılan birinci gruptaki hastaların yaş ortalaması 27,4 ± 5,5 (dağılım 18-42) olup 23’ünde test pozitif sonuçlanmıştı. Bu hastaların da 13’ünde (%17) 100 g oral glukoz yükleme testi pozitif sonuçlanmıştı. 75 g glukoz yükleme testi yapılan yapılan ikinci gruptaki hastaların yaş ortalaması 26,9 ± 5,9 (dağılım 17- 43) olup 14’ünde (%21) test pozitifsonuçlanmıştı. İkinci grupta daha sık test pozitifliği saptanmasına rağmen, iki grup arasında istatistiksel fark bulunmadı (p>0,05).Tartışma ve Sonuç: Her iki test ile benzer sıklıkta gestasyonel diyabet tanısı alan hasta saptanmıştır. Bu nedenle iki aşamalı olan ve buna bağlı olarak daha fazla glukoz alınmasına neden olan 50 g glukoz yükleme testinin gerekli olmayabileceği sonucuna varılabilir.

Amaç: Vaginal doğum sonrası fekal inkontinans gelişen olgularda geç dönemde yapılan overlappingsfinkteroplasti ameliyatının etkinliğini değerlendirmektir.Materyal ve Metod: 2010-2014 yılları arasında Harran Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Genel Cerrahi Kliniğindefekal inkontinans tanısıyla ameliyat edilen 11 olgu retrospektif olarak analiz edildi. Hastaların dosyakayıtlarından; demografik özelliklerinin yanı sıra, uygulanan cerrahi girişim, postoperatif komplikasyonlarve operasyonun başarı oranları not edildi.Bulgular: Hastaların yaş ortalaması 39 yıl, ortalama doğum sayısı 7 idi. Yedi hastaya doğum sırasındaepizyotomi yapılırken, dört hastada ise epizyotomi işleminin yapılmadığı tespit edildi. Altı hastanın gaz-sıvı,5 hastanın ise gaz-sıvı-katı gaita inkontinansı şikayeti ile başvuru yaptığı saptandı. Tüm hastalara fekalinkontinansı gidermek amacıyla overlapping sfinkteroplasti işlemi uygulandı. Postoperatif komplikasyonolarak hastaların 2'sinde yara enfeksiyonu, 2'sinde ise ameliyat sonrası şiddetli ağrı gelişti. Tüm hastalardaameliyat sonrası erken dönemde katı ve sıvı gaita inkontinansı kayboldu. Gaz inkontinansında bütünhastalarda belirgin düzelme gözlendi. Jorge-Wexner inkontinans skoruna (JWİS) göre; hastaların ameliyatöncesi inkontinas skoru ortalama 10.45 (8 -15), ameliyat sonrası ortalama 1.ayda 3.64 ( 3-5 ), 6.ayda 4.12 (4-5), 12.ayda 4.25 (4-5) idi. Hastaların % 72. 5'i ameliyat sonrası sonucu mükemmel/iyi olarak tanımladı.Sonuç: Doğum sonrası fekal inkontinans gelişen olgularda geç dönemde yapılan overlapping sfinkteroplastifekal inkontinans semptomlarının azalmasında ve hayat kalitesinin artmasında önemli katkı sağlayan basit,etkin cerrahi bir yöntem olarak kabul edilebilir.&nbsp, Background:To evaluate the efficacy of the patients with faecal incontinence after vaginal parturition whichmade overlapping sphincteroplasty surgery in the late period.Material and Method:We analyzed the eleven patients retrospectively that operated between 2010 and2014 with the diagnosis of faecal incontinence in Harran University School of Medicine, General SurgeryClinic. From the records of patients; in addition to demographic characteristics; surgical intervention,postoperative complications and success rate of the operation were noted.Results: The mean age of the patients was 39 years, the average number of birth was 7. Episiotomy wasexecuted to seven patients during parturition, whereas was not executed four patients. It was detected that sixpatients was admitted from gas and liquid, five patients was admitted from gas,liquid and solid incontinence.All patients was performed overlapping sphincteroplasty procedure to eliminate faecal incontinence. It wasdeveloped as postoperatively complication was wound infection in two patients, and developed severe painin two patients. Solid and liquid faecal incontinence disappeared in the early postoperative period in allpatients. Gas incontinence significantly improved in all patients. According to Jorge-Wexner incontinencescore; patients' average incontinence score before the operation was 10.45 (8-15); after the operation in firstmonth was 3.64 (3-5), 6th month was 4.12(4-5), 12th month was 4.25(4-5). 72.5% of patients describedexcellent / good as a result of surgery.Conclusion: Late term applied overlapping sphincteroplasty may be considered effective,simple surgicalprocedure to reduce fecal incontinence symptoms and contributing to the improvement of quality of life fromdeveloping fecal incontinence after parturition

Dear Editor,Cervico-isthmic pregnancy is a rare complication of pregnancy. The incidence of cervical and cervicoisthmic pregnancy ranges from 1:2400 to 1:4500 (1, 2). Appropriate early diagnosis and treatment lead to theremarkable reduction of maternal mortality from 45% to approximately zero (1). We describe the first case ofa cervico-isthmic pregnancy in the first trimester that was associated with a placenta percreta and wasmanaged surgically because of massive hemorrhage.A36-year-old woman, gravida 6 para 3, who was referred from a state hospital because attempted dilatationand curettage for 8 weeks gestation was complicated by massive vaginal bleeding. Her obstetric history wasnotable for three previous cesarean sections and two spontaneous abortions, both followed by curettage. Shewas in moderate general condition. There was marked pallor, blood pressure 90/60 mmHg and pulse120/min. The patient's hemoglobin level was 6.0 g/dl.Pelvic examination in our center revealed that the patient's vagina was filled with a blood clot. Afterevacuating the vagina, severe bleeding through the cervical os was observed. The uterus was enlarged andapproximately 8-9 weeks gestation. An ultrasound examination showed a cervical pregnancy with a deadfetus of 8 weeks gestation. An emergency laparotomy was performed. This pregnancy was associated with aplacenta percreta that was located on the anterior wall of the servico-isthmic region, just under the posteriorwall of the bladder. Bladder dissection revealed neovascularization on the anterior wall of the servix. Due toabove findings, a total abdominal hysterectomy was performed with conservation of both ovaries (Fig. 1).Altogether, she was transfused with five units of blood. The postoperative course was uneventful. She wasdischarged 4 days later in a general good condition. The pathologist confirmed the diagnosis of cervicoisthmic placenta percreta.Although the cause of cervical and cervico-isthmic pregnancy is unclear, previous cesarean deliveries,previous curettage, Asherman's syndrome, previous cervical or uterine surgery are the likely contributingfactors (1, 2). The above factors certainly contributed to development of the anormal placentation (3).Early diagnosis of cervico-isthmic pregnancy is very important due to high morbidity and mortality rates.When evaluating patients with first trimester bleeding who have predisposing factors for cervico-isthmicpregnancy, high clinical suspicion should lead to prompt imaging studies to avoid the potential catastrophicoutcome associated with cervico-isthmic pregnancy.&nbsp

Plasenta perkratada konservatif tedavi uygulanan iki olgu sunuldu. Kliniğimizde plasenta perkrata tanısıkonan iki olguya konservatif tedavi uygulandı. İlk olguda kanamadan dolayı tedavide istenilen başarı eldeedilemedi. İkinci olguda; abdominal orta hat ve uterin fundusda klasik insizyon, internal iliak arterligasyonu, profilaktik geniş spektrumlu antibiyotik kullanımı, menstruel siklus supresyonu, human koryonikgonadotropin seviyesinde hızlı düşüş trendi elde edene kadar metotreksat uygulaması ve plasental atılımgerçekleşene kadar hastanın haftalık izlemi ile başarılı bir sonuç elde edildi. Hemodinamik olarak stabil vefertilite isteği olan plasenta perkrata olgularında konservatif yaklaşım daha uygun bir seçenek olabilir., To present two cases of placenta percreta which were treated with conservative management in our clinic.Two cases of retained placenta percreta are presented. Treatment was failed in the first case because ofhaemorrhage. The second one was treated successfully with the procedures which consisted of caesareansection with midline abdominal and classic incision in the uterine fundus, internal iliac artery ligation,prophylactic broad-spectrum antibiotic treatment, suppression of menstrual cycle, use of methotrexate untilthe achievement of rapid downtrend of human chorionic gonadotropin, and monitoring the patient untilspontan expulsion or resorbtion of placenta. It may be better to treat the cases of placenta percreta withconservative management, if the patients are hemodynamically stable and desirable for future fertility.

Amaç: Servikal Pap smear test sonucu high grade servikal intraepiteliyal neoplazi saptanan hastalarda kolposkopi eşliğinde yapılan biyopsi ile servikal konizasyon sonuçlarını değerlendirmek. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmamız Zeynep Kamil Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesinde Ocak 2013 ile Ekim 2015 tarihleri arasında retrospektif olarak gerçekleştirildi. Pap smear test sonucunda high grade servikal intraepiteliyal neoplazi tespit edilen ve ardından kolposkopik biyopsi ile servikal konizasyon uygulanan toplam 64 hasta çalışmaya dâhil edildi. Bulgular: Çalışmamıza toplam 64 hasta dâhil edildi. Hastalarımızın yaş ortalaması 35,59±4,63 yıl, ortalama gebelik sayısı ise 3,08±1,64 idi. Kolposkopik biyopside servikal intraepiteliyal neoplazi (CIN 2-3) saptanan hastaların %82.98'inde konizasyon sonrası da aynı histopatolojik sonuç karşılaşıldı. İlginç olarak kolposkopik biyopsi sonrası lezyon saptanmayan yedi olgunun sadece ikisinde (%28.57) konizasyon sonrası da lezyon tespit edilmedi. Geriye kalan iki hastada CIN 1, üç hastada ise konizasyon sonrası CIN 2-3 lezyon saptandı. En yüksek uyum ise invaziv karsinom olgularında izlendi. Sonuç olarak kolposkopik biyopsinin CIN saptamada sensitivitesi %91,2, spesifitesi %28,6, pozitif prediktif değeri %91,2, negatif prediktif değeri ise %28,6 olarak tespit edildi. Sonuçlar: High grade servikal intraepiteliyal neoplazilerin tespit edilmesinde kolposkopi eşliğinde yapılan biyopsinin güvenilir olduğu düşünülebilir. Ancak kesin tanı ve tedavi için servikal konizasyon yöntemi halen altın standart olarak kabul edilip hastalara bu yönde bilgi verilmesi uygun yönetim şekli olmalıdır., Objective: To evaluate the results of colposcopically directed biopsy and cervical conization in patients diagnosed with high grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia according to Pap smear test. Material and Method: Our study was done in Zeynep Kamil Women's Disease and Birth Training and Research Hospital between January 2015 and October 2015 retrospectively. Total of 64 high grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia diagnosed patients according to Pap smear test whom colposcopically directed biopsy and cervical conization was performed on after, were included in the study. Results: 64 patients were included in our study. The average age of our patients was 35.59±4.63 years and the average gravida amount was 3.08±1.64. Same histopathological result was faced after conization with 82.98% of the patients diagnosed with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN 2-3) in result of colposcopically directed biopsy. Interestingly, only two of the seven cases (28.57%) were not diagnosed with lesions after colposcopically directed biopsy were also not diagnosed with lesions after conization. Remaining two patients were diagnosed with CIN 1, three patients were diagnosed with CIN 2-3 after conization. Highest accordance was observed in invasive carcinoma cases. In conclusion the diagnosing CIN sensitivity of colposcopically directed biopsy was determined as 91.2%, specifity was determined as 28.6%, positive predictive value was determined as 91.2% and negative predictive value was determined as 28.6%. Conclusion: Colposcopically directed biopsy can be considered as reliable for diagnosing high grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. However, for final diagnosis and treatment, cervical conization method should still be considered as the golden standard and for a proper management method patients should be informed accordingly.
