The performance of Lithium–sulfur (Li–S) batteries is constrained by the migration of lithium polysulfide (LiPS), the slow conversion of LiPS, and the significant reaction barrier encountered during the precipitation/dissolution of Li2S throughout the discharge/charge cycle. In this contribution, the study presents Ni–Co dual‐atom catalytic sites on hollow nitrogen‐doped carbon (NiCoNC). Theoretical calculations and experimental data reveal that the dual‐atom catalysts (DACs) accelerate the kinetic conversion of LiPSs and facilitate the formation/decomposition of Li2S during discharging and charging, which minimizes LiPS migration. Consequently, the utilization of S/NiCoNC cathodes manifests a substantial initial capacity of 1348.5 mAh g−1 at 0.1 C, exceptional cycling stability with an average capacity degradation rate of 0.028% per cycle over 900 cycles at 0.5 C, and noteworthy rate capability with a capacity of 626 mAh g−1 at 2 C. Electrodes with a higher sulfur loading of 4.5 mg cm−2 and a low electrolyte/sulfur ratio of 8 µL mg−1 exhibit exceptional specific capacities of up to 1236 mAh g−1 at 0.1 C, as well as noteworthy capacity retention of 494.2 mAh g−1 after 200 cycles at 0.2 C. A lightning current measurement method using a Rogowski coil based on an integral circuit with low-frequency attenuation feedback was proposed to address the issue of low-frequency distortion in the measurement of lightning currents on transmission lines using Rogowski coils. Firstly, the causes of low-frequency distortion in lightning current measurements using Rogowski coils were analyzed from the perspective of frequency domains. On this basis, an integration correction optimization circuit with a low-frequency attenuation feedback network was designed to correct the low-frequency distortion. The optimized integration circuit can also reduce the impact of low-frequency noise and the DC bias of the operational amplifier (op-amp) on the integration circuit due to the high low-frequency gain. Additionally, a high-pass filtering and voltage-divided sampling circuit has been added to ensure the normal operation of the integrator and improve the measurement range of the measurement system. Then, according to the relationship between the amplitude–frequency characteristics of the measurement system and the parameters of each component, the appropriate types of components and op-amp were selected to expand the measurement bandwidth. Finally, a simulation verification was conducted, and the simulation results show that this measurement method can effectively expand the lower measurement frequency limit to 20 Hz, correct the low-frequency distortion caused by Rogowski coils measuring lightning currents on transmission lines, and accurately restore the measured lightning current waveform. Introduction: Lysinuric protein intolerance (LPI) is a rare genetic disorder caused by mutations in the solute carrier family 7A member 7 (SLC7A7) gene. Case presentation: We presented two siblings with LPI, carrying novel mutations of c.776delT (p.L259Rfs*18) and c.155G>T (p.G52V) in SLC7A7. The younger sibling, preferring protein‐rich foods, showed severe symptoms, including alveolar proteinosis, macrophage activation syndrome, severe diarrhea, and disturbance of consciousness with involuntary movements. In contrast, the elder sibling only had mild symptoms, likely due to aversion to protein‐rich food since toddler age. Conclusion: LPI is a congenital genetic metabolic disease with multi‐system involvement. Initiating appropriate protein‐restricted diet therapy as soon as possible could help prevent the progression of LPI. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objectives: This meta-analysis was performed to compare polymyxin monotherapy and polymyxin-based combination therapy for carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CR-KP) infections. Methods: We conducted searches on MEDLINE, Embase and Cochrane Collaborative database for both observational studies and randomised controlled trials (RCTs) comparing polymyxin monotherapy with polymyxin-based combination therapy in patients with CR-KP infection. The primary outcome was mortality. We divided all included studies into several groups according to different combination-combination and different infection types. The odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) were calculated for outcome analysis. Results: Ten studies with 481 patients were included. Polymyxin monotherapy was associated with higher mortality than polymyxin-based combination therapy in treatment of CR-KP bloodstream infections (BSI) (OR 1.93, 95% CI 1.14–3.27, P = 0.01) and ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP)/hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP) (OR 3.82, 95% CI 1.15–12.71, P = 0.03). In subgroup analysis of different combinations, mortality was significantly higher with polymyxin monotherapy compared with combination therapy with tigecycline (OR 1.88, 95% CI 1.05–3.37, P = 0.03), or with cabapenem (OR 3.11, 95% CI 1.25–7.74, P = 0.01), but no differences were found in combinations with aminoglycosides (OR 1.29, 95% CI 0.72–2.29, P = 0.38). Three-drug combination therapy including polymyxin was also associated with significant survival benefit (OR 3.86, 95% CI 1.60–9.32, P = 0.003). Conclusions: Polymyxin-based combination therapy provides significant survival benefit in treatment of CR-KP, which appears to be more pronounced when a carbapenem or tigecycline is included in the regimen.
