(1) Background: Neck pain intensity, psychosocial factors, and physical function have been identified as potential predictors of neck disability. Machine learning algorithms have shown promise in classifying patients based on their neck disability status. So, the current study was conducted to identify predictors of neck disability in patients with neck pain based on clinical findings using machine learning algorithms. (2) Methods: Ninety participants with chronic neck pain took part in the study. Demographic characteristics in addition to neck pain intensity, the neck disability index, cervical spine contour, and surface electromyographic characteristics of the axioscapular muscles were measured. Participants were categorised into high disability and low disability groups based on the median value (22.2) of their neck disability index scores. Several regression and classification machine learning models were trained and assessed using a 10-fold cross-validation method; also, MANCOVA was used to compare between the two groups. (3) Results: The multilayer perceptron (MLP) revealed the highest adjusted R2 of 0.768, while linear discriminate analysis showed the highest receiver characteristic operator (ROC) area under the curve of 0.91. Pain intensity was the most important feature in both models with the highest effect size of 0.568 with p < 0.001. (4) Conclusions: The study findings provide valuable insights into pain as the most important predictor of neck disability in patients with cervical pain. Tailoring interventions based on pain can improve patient outcomes and potentially prevent or reduce neck disability.

Hot sand baths are used for the treatment musculoskeletal diseases. The aim of this study was to assess beneficial effect of black sand bathing in the treatment of antenatal carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). Study was conducted in single case with CTS of the right dominant hand. The treatment time was 20 min/day, 5 days/week for 2 weeks. CTS were evaluated using a visual analogue scale (VAS), pinch gauge dynamometer and Boston Carpal Tunnel Questionnaire (BCTQ) with electrophysiological studies at baseline and at week 2. Pain intensity (VAS) was decreased (34.2%), Tip, Key and Tripod pinch strengths were increased (14.29%), (19.23%) and (21.74%) respectively. Mean scores on the BCTQ-SSS and BCTSQ-FSS were decreased (23.69%) and (20.7%) respectively. Electrophysiological studies revealed that decreased mMDL (11.47%), increased mSNCV (9.23%) at the end of treatment. Background and aim Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) poses a threat to the mother and child. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of acupressure on the glycemic control and insulin requirement of GDM females. Materials and methods Thirty GDM female patients were randomized to either the study group (SG; n=15), which was treated with acupressure and the standard antenatal care, or the control group (CG; n=15), which was treated with the standard antenatal care. Fasting and 2-h post-prandial blood glucose levels, requirement for insulin and insulin resistance were measured at 24 and 36 weeks' gestation (WG). Also, neonatal outcomes were registered at delivery. Results The pre intervention showed no statistically significant differences between SG and CG for baseline characteristics of participants (p>0.05). Within group analyses, after 12 weeks intervention had shown that 75 g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), insulin resistance, number of required insulin and measure of utilized insulin were significantly reduced (p<0.05), with significant increase in body mass index (BMI) (p<0.05) in both groups. All outcome measures were not significantly changed (p>0.05) between both groups at 24 and 36 WG. No significant differences (p>0.05) in pregnancy and neonatal outcomes between both groups at labor. Conclusions Acupressure may help to reduce gestational diabetes or insulin treatment for overweight female patients with GDM.

Introduction: Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most widely recognized reasons for infertility. The aim of this study was to examine the impact of laser acupuncture on PCOS women. Methods: Twenty-five PCOS women were randomly allocated to either the study group (SG; n=13), treated by laser acupuncture, or the control group (CG; n = 12). Blood hormonal levels and insulin resistance were measured at baseline and after 12 weeks of intervention. Results: The pre-intervention levels showed no statistically significant differences between SG and CG for baseline characteristics ( P >0.05). After 12 weeks of intervention, within-group analyses showed that body mass index (BMI), blood hormonal levels, and insulin resistance were significantly decreased ( P <0.05), while no significant changes in follicle-stimulating hormone ( P >0.05) were recorded in the 2 groups. Between-groups analyses showed that most outcomes measures were significantly decreased ( P <0.05) in SG compared with CG, with no significant changes in FSH and BMI ( P >0.05). Conclusion: Laser acupuncture can be suggested as an effective management for PCOS women.

Background: Postpartum low back pain harmfully affects all parts of women's life., Objective: To investigate the effect of kinesiotape on women with postnatal backache., Methods: Thirty participants were randomly allocated to either group (A; n= 15), treated by kinesiotape with exercise program, or the group (B; n= 15), treated by exercise program. Visual analogue scale (VAS) and Back Pain Function Scale (BPFS) were evaluated.at baseline and after 2 weeks of intervention., Results: There were no statistically significant changes between group A and group B for baseline characteristics (p> 0.05). After two-week intervention, within group analyses revealed that VAS decreased (p< 0.05), with significant increase in BPFS (p> 0.05) in the two groups. Between group analyses showed that there was significant reduction of VAS (p< 0.05) and significant increase of BPFS (p< 0.05) in favor to group A than group B., Conclusions: Kinesiotape and postural correction exercises can be recommended as effective treatment methods for women's postnatal back pain with better effect of kinesiotape and postural correction exercises than exercise alone.
