The heat and mass transfer characteristics of the nonlinear, unsteady, radiative MHD boundary layer slip flow of a chemically reacting fluid past an infinite vertical porous plate are taken into account in this study. The effect of physical parameters are accounted for two distinct types of thermal boundary conditions namely prescribed uniform wall temperature thermal boundary condition and prescribed heat flux thermal boundary condition. Exact solution of the governing equations for the fluid velocity, temperature and concentration are obtained by using two term perturbation technique subject to physically appropriate boundary conditions. The expressions of skin friction, Nusselt number and Sherwood number are also derived. The numerical values of fluid velocity, temperature and concentration are displayed graphically whereas those of shear stress, rate of heat transfer and rate of mass transfer at the plate are presented in tabular form for various values of pertinent flow parameters. Results are compared with the literature in the limiting case.

Collodion baby and harlequin fetus are two clinical entities that have characteristic appearances that mark their diagnosis. Yet, this is only the beginning of unraveling the congenital ichthyosiform dermatosis causing it, as they are mere phenotypic forms, not disease entities. Autosomal recessive ichthyosiform diseases are responsible for a majority of collodion babies. Both syndromic and nonsyndromic ichthyosis disorders cause collodion in babies; thus, these babies need to be thoroughly evaluated during hospital stay and during the follow-up period as well. The course of a collodion baby can range from self-healing to significant morbidity. It is more worse in the harlequin fetus. Neonates with both conditions need neonatal intensive care unit hospitalization. The collodion membrane gradually sheds in the majority, revealing the ichthyosis in time. Skin barrier maintenance is extremely important, as fragility of the skin leads to a sequelae of complications. Otherwise, treatment modalities depend on general care and temperature regulation, and retinoids have shown promising results. Both conditions are described, and the approach needed in evaluation of the collodion baby is highlighted.

Pityriasis rosea is one of the commonly encountered papulo squamous disease in dermatology outpatient department. Its clinical presentations are varied, and it also has many atypical forms. We report a case of a male patient with classical Pityriasis rosea lesions limited to the patches of Hansen's disease. This is probably being reported for the first time in literature.

The terminology Cauliflower ear refers to the appearance of external ear, sequelae to underlying primary inflammation/infection. Trauma and secondary infection or perichondritis being the most common cause of cauliflower ear, this article describes a case of unilateral cauliflower ear due to multibacillary leprosy. This case shows the importance of skin smears and the histopathological identification and classification of leprosy patients with unusual lesions.

The objective of the present study is to investigate thermal diffusion and radiation effects on unsteady MHD flow past a linearly accelerated vertical porous plate with variable temperature and also with variable mass diffusion in presence of heat source or sink under the influence of applied transverse magnetic field. The fluid considered here is a gray, absorbing/emitting radiation but a non-scattering medium. At time t > 0, the plate is linearly accelerated with a velocity u = u0t in its own plane. And at the same time, plate temperature and concentration levels near the plate raised linearly with time t. The dimensionless governing equations involved in the present analysis are solved using the closed analytical method. The velocity, temperature, concentration, skin-friction, the rate or heat transfer and the rate of mass transfer are studied through graphs in terms of different physical parameters like magnetic field parameter (M), radiation parameter (R), Schmidt parameter (Sc), Soret number (So), Heat source parameter (S), Prandtl number (Pr), thermal Grashof number (Gr), mass Grashof number (Gm) and time (t).

In this paper, the study of the steady two-dimensional flow of an incompressible viscous fluid with heat and mass transfer and MHD heat generation past a moving vertical plate with suction in the presence of viscous dissipation and chemical reaction is investigated. Using similarity variables, the governing partial differential equations are transformed into non-linear ordinary differential equations. These equations are then solved numerically using fourth order Runge-Kutta method with shooting technique. The flow variables are presented graphically. The graphs showed that velocity rises for increasing Grashof number, mass Grashof numer, suction, heat generation and Eckert number while reducing with increasing magnetic parameter, Schmidt number, and chemical reaction parameter and Prandtl number. Comparisons with previously published work are performed and are found to be in an excellent agreement.
