Abstract

The impedance, capacitance and inductance in HoxMn1-xS solid solutions were measured at fixed frequencies in the range of 1 kHz – 300 kHz from temperature. Maxima in the temperature dependence of the impedance and the reactive part of the impedance and minima in the dielectric permittivity are found. The capacitive contribution to the reactive part of the impedance is established for the concentration x=0.05. Spin-glass effects below the Neel temperature from the inductance are found. The dielectric permittivity in HoxMn1-xS with x=0.1 is described in the Debye model. The activation type of relaxation time and activation energy are established. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

4. Concentration dependences of the structural, magnetic and kinetic properties of manganese chalcogenides doped with tellurium

Abstract

The effect of anionic substitution on the structural, magnetic, and kinetic properties of chalcogenides of the MnSe1-XTeX system in the temperature range of 77-400K in magnetic fields up to 12 kOe was studied. With an increase in the substitution concentration, changes in the structural and magnetic characteristics, which correlate with changes in the electronic structure, were found. The type and mobility of the main current carriers were determined from the Hall effect measurements.
