Aim To investigate the value of ultrasound in the diagnosis of congenital internal carotid artery hypoplasia (CICAH). Methods Patients diagnosed with CICAH by ultrasound in Baotou Central Hospital, Inner Mongolia from July 2022 to December 2023 were retrospectively collected. The general data, ultrasound and imaging data of all patients were recorded. Results Among the 25 317 carotid artery ultrasonography subjects, 13 patients were diagnosed as CICAH. The ultrasonic detection rate of CICAH was 0. 051%. The 13 cases of CICAH included 11 cases of unilateral internal carotid artery hypoplasia and 2 cases of bilateral internal carotid artery hypoplasia. CT scan of carotid canal confirmed that all 13 cases of internal carotid artery hypoplasia were unilateral lesions, among which 2 cases of unilateral lesions were misdiagnosed as bilateral lesions by ultrasound, with a misdiagnosis rate of 15%. Taking carotid canal dysplasia as the gold standard, ROC curve was plotted to evaluate the diagnostic value of ultrasound in CICAH. The area under the curve (AUC) was 0. 941, and the optimal diagnostic threshold value of CICAH was 3. 2 mm, sensitivity was 100%, and specificity was 85%. The consistency test between ultrasonic examination and gold standard test method for CT scanning of carotid artery canal showed that Kappa value was 0. 846. Objective: To analyze the expression levels of serum galectin-10 (Gal-10) and inflammatory factors and their correlation with skin infection in children with atopic dermatitis of different severity. Methods: A total of 110 children with atopic dermatitis admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were included in the observation group. They were divided into mild group, moderate group and severe group according to SCORAD. Another 110 healthy children were included in the control group. The levels of serum Gal-10,inflammatory factors (IL-4, IL-13, IL-31) and percutaneous water loss in different parts of the skin were detected, and the relationship between serum Gal-10, IL-4, IL-13, IL-31, SCORAD score and percutaneous water loss in different parts of the skin was analyzed. The predictive efficacy of serum Gal-10 and inflammatory factors (IL-4, IL-13, IL-31) on skin infection was analyzed using receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC). Results: The levels of serum Gal-10, IL-4, IL-13 and IL-31 in observation group were higher than those in control group (P<0.05). With the aggravation of atopic dermatitis in children, serum levels of Gal-10, IL-4, IL-13 and IL-31 increased, and serum levels of Gal-10, IL-4, IL-13 and IL-31 in mild, moderate and severe groups were significantly different(P<0.05). By Pearson correlation analysis, serum Gal-10, IL-4, IL-13 and IL-31 levels were positively correlated with SCORAD score, and percutaneous water loss in anterior wall extension, anterior wall flexion, cheek and anterior tibia in atopic dermatitis children (P<0.05). Among 110 children with atopic dermatitis, 43 had skin infections. According to ROC curve analysis, the sensitivity of serum Gal-10, IL-4, IL-13 combined with IL-31 to predict skin infection in children with atopic dermatitis was 89.72%, the specificity was 56.97% and the area under ROC curve (AUC) was 0.921. Conclusion: The levels of serum Gal-10 and inflammatory factors (IL-4, IL-13, IL-31) are significantly correlated with the severity of atopic dermatitis in children, and are of certain significance in evaluating skin barrier function and predicting skin infection, which is worthy of clinical attention. Objective: To evaluate the validty and reliability of the Not Just Right Experiences Questionnaire Revised(NJRE-Q-R) in clinical and community populations. Methods: Totally 238 patients diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder, major depressive disorder, and anxiety disorder were recruited according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition(DSM-5), and 201 normal controls were enrolled. The subjects were evaluated with the Yale-Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale, NJRE-Q-R, Beck Depression Inventory, and Beck Anxiety Inventory to measure their clinical symptoms. Validity was tested through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. Cronbach a coefficient was used to test the reliability of the questionnaire. Results: Exploratory factor analysis showed the NJRE-Q-R category scale contained 3 dimensions, and the single dimension structure of the NJRE-Q-R severity scale was good. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the structural model of the NJRE-Q-R category scale and severity scale fitted well(χ²/df=1.66, CFI=0.95, RMSEA=0.06;χ²/df=2.71, CFI=0.92, RMSEA=0.11).The Cronbach a coefficients of the NJRE-Q-R category scale and severity scale were 0.73 and 0.96 respectively. ABCG2 and SLC2A9 encode the uric acid transporters ABCG2 and GLUT9. ABCG2 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) can reduce the expression and transport function of ABCG2 protein, and then cause intestinal uric acid excretion dysfunction, resulting in the increase of blood uric acid. The regulation of blood uric acid by SLC2A9 is complicated. Loss of function of SLC2A9 may lead to decreased renal tubule uric acid reabsorption, impaired intestinal uric acid excretion and impaired hepatic uric acid uptake. ABCG2 promotes gout attacks by causing hyperuricemia(HUA) and increasing inflammatory responses. On the contray, loss of function of SLC2A9 can instead reduce oxidation and inflammatory responses. BACKGROUND: Aortic dissection is a rare life-threatening disease with high mortality. At present, the pathogenesis of aortic dissection is still not fully understood; therefore, research on its pathogenesis will have important clinical significance. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the pathological basis of arterial dissection in mice with connective tissue disease through constructing an aortic dissection model by bleomycin combined with angiotensin II. METHODS: Twenty-four female BALB/c mice were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, with twelve mice in each group. Mice in the experimental group were subcutaneously treated with bleomycin to establish a systemic sclerosis model, while those in the control group were treated with phosphate buffered saline. Administration in each group lasted for 3 weeks. Mice in the two groups were examined for urine hydroxyproline level, back skin thickness and body mass to verify whether the model was successfully established. Mice were intraperitoneally injected angiotensin II beginning at 7 days after modeling for 14 continuous days. The histopathological changes in the aortic media of the two groups were analyzed and semi-quantitative grading was performed after modeling. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: There were significant increases in the urine hydroxyproline level and back skin thickness and a significant reduction in body mass in the experimental group compared with the control group (P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in systolic pressure, diastolic stage and mean arterial pressure between the two groups at 30 minutes after intraperitoneal injection of angiotensin II (P > 0.05). Compared with the control group, mice in the experimental group presented with significantly severer non-inflammatory degenerative lesions of the aortic media (P < 0.05). All findings indicate that non-inflammatory degeneration of the aortic media is more serious in the experimental mice then the control mice, that is, experimental mice are more prone to arterial dissection pathologically. Objective To explore the beliefs and attitudes about sleep in patients with comorbid depressive disorder and insomnia, and to explore its influence on sleep quality. Methods Patients with comorbid depressive disorder and insomnia (n=61) and patients with primary insomnia (n=62) who met criteria specified in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, fourth edition (DSM-IV) in Beijing Anding Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University were enrolled, meantime, another 64 healthy controls were recruited. All subjects were assessed using Dysfunctional Beliefs and Attitudes about Sleep (DBAS) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) . Additionally, patients with comorbid depressive disorder and insomnia were evaluated using Hamilton Depression Scale-17 item (HAMD-17) . The PSQI and DBAS scores were compared among three groups using analysis of covariance, and multiple linear regression analysis was used to screen the factors affecting PSQI score in patients with comorbid depressive disorder and insomnia. Results Compared with healthy controls, higher scores of PSQI (t=18. 932, 18. 610, P<0. 01) along with lower scores of DBAS (t=-5. 561, -5. 791, P<0. 01) were observed in patients with comorbid depressive disorder and insomnia and patients with primary insomnia. Taking the PSQI score of patients with comorbid depressive disorder and insomnia as the dependent variable, statistically significant equations were generated using multiple linear regression analysis (F=14. 095, R² =0. 327, P<0. 05), and the predictive and control factors of sleep in DBAS and age were found to be the influencing factors of PSQI score in patients (B=-0. 100, -0. 279, P<0. 05 or 0. 01) . Conclusion Compared with the normal, depression patients with insomnia have more dysfunctional beliefs and attitudes towards sleep, and dysfunctional cognition may be the influencing factor of their sleep quality. Firstly, the metabolites in plasma were extracted to obtain organic and aqueous phases by Folch method. Several kinds of metabolites in organic and aqueous phases were detected simultaneously by ultra-performance liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry (UPLC-HRMS). Mobile phase and elution procedure were optimized. Chromatographic separation was performed on a ACE3 C18 column (150 mm×3.0 mm×3.0 μm), and the MS analysis was carried out by electrospray ionization (ESI) source in positive and negative ion modes combined with full and segmental scanning. The mass spectrometry-based molecular networking (MSMN) has been widely used, but it has not been mentioned in the analysis of lipid metabolites. In this study, the method for the analysis of metabolites in plasma by UPLC-HRMS combined with MSMN was developed. The metabolites identified by chemical standards were selected as seed compounds, and MSMN was used to screen the metabolites having similar MS/MS behavior with the seed compounds, so as to expand the qualitative range and improve the qualitative efficiency of metabolites. A total of 187 metabolites were annotated, including 80 metabolites such as amino acid, fatty acid and sugar in the aqueous phase and 107 lipid metabolites in the organic phase, among which 64 metabolites were identified by MSMN, which achieved the high throughput analysis of multiple metabolites in human plasma in this way. It provided a feasible new idea for the identification of lipid metabolites but there were still many limitations and challenges. The MSMN is suitable for the analysis of metabolites with large molecular weight, and the prerequisite is that the MS/MS of certain metabolites contains at least 3 or more common characteristic fragments. In this work, the metabolites identified by MSMN in the organic phase were mostly phosphatidylcholines (PCs) and sphingomyelins (SMs) in positive ion mode. For example, the aggregation degree of triacylglycerols (TGs) was high in the MSMN, but it was difficult to annotate successfully because of the weak characteristic of common fragments. However, in negative ion mode, it was more difficult to use MSMN to characterize the metabolites because of the small number of characteristic fragments of congener metabolites and the low mass spectral response of some fragments, which was difficult to be detected. We also tried to establish the MSMN of metabolites in the aqueous phase and obtained the molecular network diagram with good aggregation. However, the qualitative results were not satisfactory, and the metabolites in the aqueous phase were all small molecular weight metabolites such as amino acid, and the MS/MS lacked representative characteristic fragments, so MSMN was not suitable for these metabolites. In order to explore the nutritional and health value of buckwheat varieties, the variation of crude protein, total flavonoids, protein components and fruit characters of 56 different lines of buckwheat seeds were studied. The results were as follows:(1)Common buckwheat, rice tartary buckwheat and golden tartary buckwheat seeds had crude protein content average of 13.19%, 15.44% and 11.75%, respectively, total flavonoids average of 0.14%, 2.50%, and 2.09%, the average of albumin content of 5.22%, 6.13% and 4.56%, respectively, the average of globulin content of 1.29%, 1.15%, and 0.91%, respectively, the average of gliadin content of 0.42%, 0.58%, and 0.55%, respectively, and the average of glutenin content of 2.66%, 3.36%, and 2.80%, respectively. The protein component content orders of all types of buckwheat were in accordance with albumin > glutenin > globulin > gliadin.(2)Among the fruit traits, the variation coefficient of 1 000-fruit weight, fruit area and diameter of common buckwheat were the largest, and the variation coefficient of fruit perimeter, fruit length-width ratio, fruit length, fruit width and 50 mL volumetric weight of rice tartary buckwheat fruit were the largest.(3)Correlation analysis showed that there are significant or extremely significant correlations between crude protein content and length-width ratio and fruit length in common buckwheat, between crude protein content and fruit perimeter and fruit length in golden buckwheat, between crude protein content and fruit width, between total flavonoids content and fruit area, fruit width, fruit diameter and 50 mL volumetric weight in rice tartary buckwheat fruits.(4)Through the study, the buckwheat lines with high protein content or high flavonoid content, such as common buckwheat Guitian 1808-166, golden tartary buckwheat(Duoku74, Duoku78),black rice buckwheat(1906-136 and 43-2)were found. Soil erosion has posed some serious damage on the land resources in the world. The "Grain for Green" project in 1999 has been launched to restore the vegetation on the steep slope farmlands and control the soil and water loss for a better ecological environment of the Loess Plateau in China. But, the frequent extreme rainstorms have aggravated the occurrence and development of gully erosion under global warming in recent years. The development of the gullies after the extreme rainstorm still remains unclear so far. Fortunately, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) data can be collected fast, accurately, and efficiently after a rainstorm. The flexible acquisition time of UAVs can be expected to serve as an effective tool for the development of gully. Taking the Wangwugou Small Watershed of Chabagou Watershed on the Loess Plateau as the research area, this study aims to investigate the formation and development of gully under a rainstorm using UAV images. A case study selected the "7·26" extreme rainfall that occurred in Northern Shaanxi of China on July 26, 2017, with a daily rainfall of 206.6 mm. The patterns of newly formed gullies were captured under the climate. An equation with the topographic parameters was established for the occurrence and development of newly formed gullies in the following three years. The results showed that: 1) There were 45 newly formed gullies during the extreme rainstorm, which were about 101 gully/km2 in total. Four types were divided, including the hill slope, terraced field, unpaved roadway, and bottom gullies. There were more gullies found on the slopping hills. The bottom and terraced field gullies presented much wider and larger in the study area. The unpaved roads, check dam farmland, and sloping farmland were more prone to the gullies. 2) In the three years after the formation of the new gullies, the development of the new gully heads was faster than that of the original, 34.48% of which were further advanced, indicating 1.32 times the original. The average gully head retreat rate of newly formed gullies was three times that of the original, up to 0.58 m/a, where the maximum speed reached 2.12 m/a. 3) The drainage area significantly promoted the development of gully heads. A critical topographic index was selected to simulate the retreat rate of gully heads. There was more severe soil erosion under extreme rainfall conditions. The source of newly formed gullies was rapidly traced within three years after the occurrence. Therefore, the appropriate management can be attached to prevent such gullies during this time. OBJECTIVE: To probe into the effects of Yinxingye capsules combined with alprostadil injection on cerebral blood flow, serum homocysteine（ Hcy） and fibroblast growth factor 21（ FGF21） in patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo（ PCIV）. METHODS: Totally 224 patients with PCIV admitted into People’s Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from Jan. 2019 to Oct. 2020 were retrospectively extracted. The control group（ 104 patients） was treated with alprostadil injection, while the observation group（ 120 patients） received Yinxingye capsules combined with alprostadil injection. The course of treatment was 2 weeks. Clinical efficacy, clinical symptom score, blood flow velocity of vertebrobasilar artery and levels of serum Hcy and FGF21 were observed in two groups. RESULTS: After treatment of two weeks, the total effective rate of the observation group was 92. 5%（ 111/120）,significantly higher than that of the control group 83. 7%（ 87/104）,the difference was statistically significant（ P <0. 05）. After treatment, the scores of vertigo degree, vertigo duration, vertigo frequency and accompanying symptoms in patients with PCIV in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant（ P < 0. 05）. After treatment, the blood flow velocity of left vertebral artery, right vertebral artery and basilar artery of the observation group was significantly faster than that of the control group, and the levels of serum Hcy and FGF21 were significantly lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant（ P < 0. 05）. CONCLUSIONS: The efficacy of Yinxingye capsules combined with alprostadil injection in the treatment of patients with PCIV is significant, which can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and cerebral blood flow, reduce the levels of serum Hcy,FGF21.
