Since 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected not only Indonesia but also other countries in the world. The economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has been felt by the Indonesian people since the implementation of the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) on March 15, 2020. Community activities are forced to be carried out through digital transformation in services, transactions, and work, for example, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. This research was conducted to determine the digital communication management planning, activities, and evaluation of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia in an inclusive and sustainable economic recovery in Indonesia. The objective of this research is the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. This study uses the method of Phenomenology of Edmund Husserl. Having the concept of phenomenology as a scientific method that does not start with doubt, direction, and the truth of an experience. Data were collected by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study use data reduction, data display, and verification of Miles and Huberman. Based on the data findings, data results, and discussions that the researchers have submitted, it can be concluded that the Government of the Republic of Indonesia has implemented Digital Communication Management both from planning, activities, and evaluation in inclusive and sustainable economic recovery through the importance of directed and coordinated digital communication planning through agenda setting and framing are well conceptualized. Digital communication planning of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Cooperatives of MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia has been going well with many trainings held so that there are many benefits for the community. The global outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has forced governments around the world to launch various digital information campaigns in an attempt to boost public awareness about the virus and increase public information on effective measures to prevent its diffusion in local communities. Different public relations and data preservation, data retention, and data distribution strategies have been applied by healthcare policymakers to initiate, implement, and promote a wide range of public information campaigns, unique open data-driven platforms, and related digital solutions and tools to achieve the goal. Likewise, they were driven by different motivations and priorities as well as demands and political signals that they received from both top government leadership and civil society. In this regard, it is interesting to analyze how these different public relations and data management strategies were manifested in real administrative and technological practices, what priorities policymakers put in promoting such digital platforms, what communication and data management tools they used, and how effective they were in raising public awareness about the pandemic via such digital information platforms and related data-driven projects, startups, and initiatives. An effective facility management process is crucial to overall firm performance and is becoming a core competency for organizations seeking to gain a competitive advantage. The recent literature on facility management reveals that poor facility management is a major cause of management inefficiency, leading directly to budget overruns, maintenance delays, repetition of work, variations, noncompliance incidents, unnecessary risk, and dissatisfied customers. Therefore, facility management firms should pay close attention to the most critical success factors in order to effectively manage and measure performance. This paper presents a multidimensional campus facility management performance framework (CFMPF) that addresses both operational and systematic factors. Facility management companies, owners, contractors, and consultants can use this framework to identify systemic weaknesses using key indicators to specifically assess the effectiveness and success of facility management. The significance of 45 key facility management success factors across seven categories was determined via a literature review, expert interviews, and the Delphi method. The seven process groups are: Campus Facility Work Force Management, Campus Facility Communication Management, Campus Facility Systems Management, Campus Facility Organizational Management, Campus Facility Financial Management, Campus Sustainability & Environment Management, and Campus Facility Assets Management. To verify the overall agreement via the Delphi rounds, the score percentage and standard deviation to mean ratio were examined. Mean value and interrater agreement (IRA) analyses were conducted to evaluate the correlation between the factors and facility performance. This research adds to the body of knowledge by presenting a systematic operational framework for campus facility management that identifies the underlying factors influencing performance and fills the gaps left by previous studies. Guided by the theory of communication privacy management, this study examines recipients' communicative and relational responses to disclosures of transgender identity. Participants (N = 207) completed an online survey and reported on a time they learned about a close other's transgender identity. Results indicated that perceived disclosure strategy influenced recipients' supportive communication, avoidance, aggression, and relational distancing. Recipients' feelings of sympathy and anger moderated the effects of disclosure strategies on recipient responses. A general pattern emerged, suggesting the effects of disclosure strategies on recipient responses are amplified at low levels of sympathy and high levels of anger. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: Exploring the considerations that guide and influence members of Facebook medical support groups to disclose private information. Design/methodology/approach: The sample included 293 participants, aged 18–85 years, who answered an online survey, 155 members of Facebook medical support groups and 138 members of other Facebook groups. Findings: Members of medical support groups attach greater importance to privacy policy, give greater value to privacy and reveal more private information, compared to members of other groups. Members of medical support groups tend to feel that they receive more support and feel that the privacy policy preserves their privacy much more. These feelings are associated with greater self-disclosure of groups' members. Originality/value: The research insights will help medical support groups' members and admins to put into action the fundamental right to privacy and build a set of rules tailored to their individual and group needs. The inclusion of people with disabilities in organizations is a unique topic today, especially with the growing attention given to discussions on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I). Although these issues are currently debated, the issue of diversity of bodies and minds, which concerns people with disabilities, has less visibility. Discussions that consider individuals with disabilities as subjects that make up the characterization of human diversity can be found in areas such as Administration, Education, Entertainment, Law and Psychology. However, the absence of the theme in Communication, specifically in the academic and professional field of Public Relations, is noticeable. This professional is responsible for communication between organizations and their most varied stakeholders, including the internal public, that is, employees. These, in turn, may be people with disabilities living in a context of exclusion. Furthermore, Public Relations is understood as an area that, from a social perspective, considers the diversity of interests in relationships and has both a tactical/operational and reflexive role, necessary in modernity. Therefore, this work aims to understand the role of Public Relations and Communication in the inclusion of people with disabilities in organizations, based on the identification and systematization of the approach to this topic in the scientific literature in the area, produced in the last ten years. A bibliographical research was conducted, with a qualitative approach and exploratory-descriptive character. The research technique used was systematic literature review. Initially, a volume of 876 works was collected. Based on the filters applied and the suitability to the theme, a corpus of 20 works was selected from Google Scholar, Scielo and the Capes Periodicals Portal. The selected works are articles published in scientific journals (n=11) and papers presented at conferences (n=9). A considerable frequency of the same Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and authors is not identified. In relation to the methodologies used in the studies, most works adopt a qualitative approach and opt for methods and techniques such as bibliographical research with literature review, in-depth interviews and application of questionnaires. It is clear that scientific production on the role of communication for the inclusion of people with disabilities in organizations is not consolidated in the area of Communication, on the contrary, it is widespread in other areas such as Administration, Management, Human Resources, etc. and, when discussed by Communication authors, it is found in conferences/congresses, as incipient works. The results indicate little mention of Communication and/or Public Relations, however, it is possible to establish a relationship with the roles designated as essential for inclusion with essentially communication and relationship management functions and activities. They are: 1) establishing dialogue to deconstruct stigmas and prejudices against people with disabilities; 2) strategic management of internal communication and how communication processes take place; 3) consideration of accessibility and the use of accessibility features in internal communication channels and fluxes, mainly adaptations and availability of alternative formats of audiovisual products; 4) construction of an inclusive corporate culture, based on the construction and circulation of possible new imaginaries about disability in the workplace. Purpose: This paper investigates the roles and activities of the orchestrators of innovation networks constituted within cities. In this sense, the authors expected to contribute for research related to the roles and activities of the orchestrators of innovation networks constituted in the scope of cities given the large number and diversity of complex and multiple dimensions social actors (Castells & Borja, 1996; Reypens, Lievens & Blazevic, 2019). Design/methodology/approach: The authors conducted an exploratory research with a single case study in depth. The case chosen for the paper is the case of Pacto Alegre. The case selection criterion was the relevance of the Pacto Alegre Case in the construction of an innovation network in the city of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The Pacto Alegre network was proposed by the Alliance for Innovation (composed of the three main Universities in the city: UFRGS, PUCRS and UNISINOS) and by the Municipality of Porto Alegre. In addition to these actors, the network counts on financial and development institutions as sponsors, with media partners, with design partners, with an advisory board (composed of five professionals considered references in different themes) and composed by more than 100 companies, associations and institutions from different areas (Pacto Alegre, 2019). Data were collected from 09/20/2020 to 11/30/2020 through in-depth interviews, documentary research and non-participant observation. Findings: In this research, the authors highlighted the city as a community that involves and integrates various actors, such as citizens and companies, to collaborative innovation activities. For this, they proposed a framework on innovation networks and network orchestration. In this direction, seven dimensions of the "orchestration of innovation networks" were assumed as a result of the combination of previous studies by Dhanaraj and Parke (2006), Hurmelinna-Laukkanen et al. (2011) and da Silva and Bitencourt (2019). In the sequence, different roles of orchestrators associated with the literature were adopted based on the work by Pikkarainen et al. (2017) and Nielsen and Gausdal (2017). Research limitations/implications: The authors' results advance in relation to other fields by promoting the expansion of the "orchestration of innovation networks" model with the combination of distinct elements from the literature in a coherent whole (agenda setting, mobilization, network stabilization, creation and transfer of knowledge, innovation appropriability, coordination and co-creation) and in the validation of its applicability in the context of the innovation network studied. In addition, when relating different roles of orchestrators to the seven dimensions studied, it was realized that there is no linear and objective relationship between the dimensions and roles of the orchestrator, as in each dimension there may be more than one role being played in the orchestration. Practical implications: Therefore, the findings suggest two theoretical contributions. First, the authors identified a role not discussed in the literature, here called the communicator. In the case analysis, the authors observed the communicator role through functions performed by a media partner of the innovation network and by a group of civil society engaged in the city's causes. Second, the authors indicated a new dimension of orchestration related to the management of communication in the innovation network and its externalities such as p. ex. civil and organized society, characteristic of an innovation network set up within a city. Originality/value: Although several studies have proposed advances in the understanding of the orchestration of innovation networks (Dhanaraj & Parkhe, 2006; Ritala, Armila & Blomqvist, 2009; Nambisan & Sawhney, 2011; Hurmelinna-Laukkanen et al., 2011), the discussion on the topic is still a black box (Nilsen & Gausdal, 2017). More specifically, the authors identified a gap in the literature about the role and activities of actors in the city level. Few studies connected the regional dimension with the roles and activities of the orchestrators (Hurmelinna-Laukkanen et al., 2011; Pikkarainen et al., 2017), raising several challenges and opportunities to be considered by academics and managers. Under Metaverse, security management of communication networks in digital cultural consumption has attracted more and more attention. As we know, security risks of communication networks caused by non-human factors are becoming weaker and weaker due to technology optimization. Meanwhile, players play significant and increasing role in communication networks. Taking mobile games as an example, this paper designed and applied the security management model to improve security management of communication networks in digital cultural consumption under Metaverse. The results show that: (1) The physiological, psychological, pathological, pharmacological, physical and psychosocial factors exert tremendous influence on communication networks. The psychosocial factors are more prominent. (2) There is security threshold in communication networks. It means that the security state can be entered if security threshold is crossed. This paper designs security threshold as the III level (5.5 ≤ P < 6.5). (3) This paper proposes 3E rules (That is, engineering, education, enforcement). It is beneficial to deal with security risks in communication networks. (4) After two security evaluations, the result is G2 = 6.70 > G1 = 5.01. The emergence of the Internet has brought revolutionary changes to modern information technology. The development of electronic communication information storage technology facilitates people to access information anytime and anywhere, effectively achieving resource sharing. However, traditional methods scatter communication information to all nodes, but neglect the extraction of electronic communication information association features, resulting in low information storage efficiency. This article analyzes the efficiency management of electronic communication information storage in multi-threaded networks and sets up a control experiment. Comparing the method proposed in this article with traditional methods, this study focuses on five aspects: information redundancy storage, information space utilization, productivity, data accuracy, and data transmission efficiency. It is concluded that the average information redundancy storage capacity of traditional electronic information storage methods is 8.35 x 107 T which is 6 x 107 T higher than using multi wire network electronic communication information storage methods. It indicates that traditional redundant information occupies a large amount of storage space, and its storage value exceeds the upper limit of electronic communication information storage. This means that the stored information may be overwritten by redundant information, resulting in the loss of stored information. The experimental results show that using the method proposed in this paper for electronic communication information storage results in a high distribution density of storage space and a significant improvement in information storage efficiency. This study used structurational divergence theory (SDT) to explain why employees' concerns with powerholders can encourage them to select defensive silence in their approach to workplace problems. A survey of working adults (N = 276) revealed employees who had a concern with powerholders were more likely to select defensive silence as compared to employees who were concerned about other types of workplace concerns. Results indicated that perceptions of structurational divergence—and the loss of agency and immobilization that characterize it—are associated with employees' selection of defensive silence instead of dissent. Natural disasters occur and management must adjust to the reality and needs that arise. The research analyzed Technologies, Government Communication and Uncertainty Management in Disaster Cases: The Case of Landslides and Floods, particularly the role played by government communication in the disaster that occurred in the municipality of San Gabriel in the state of Jalisco, on June 2, 2019. The methodology used was a case study and also of a descriptive nature, studying the case of landslides and floods generated by an avalanche of mud, water, stones and tree trunks that invaded a large part of the municipal seat of San Gabriel, located in the south of the state of Jalisco Mexico and caused the loss of five human lives. Purpose: This study provides real-world evidence for the relationship between strategic communication from a global/multinational perspective and the effectiveness of corporate message strategies in the context of environment risk communication. Among sustainability issues, particulate matter (PM) air pollution has threatened the health and social wellbeing of citizens in many countries. The purpose of this paper is to apply the message framing and attribution theories in the context of sustainability communication to determine the effects of risk message characteristics on publics' risk responses. Design/methodology/approach: Using a 2 (message frame: gain vs loss) × 2 (attribution type: internal vs external) × 2 (country: China vs South Korea) between-subjects experimental design, the study examines the message framing strategies' on publics' risk responses (i.e. risk perception, risk responsibility attribution held toward another country and sustainable behavioral intention for risk prevention). Findings: Findings include (1) main effects of message characteristics on participants' risk responses; (2) the impact of country difference on participants' differential risk responses and (3) three-way interactions on how risk message framing, risk threats type and country difference jointly affect not only participants' risk perception and risk responsibility attribution but also their sustainable behavioral intention to prevent PM. Research limitations/implications: Although this study used young–adult samples in China and South Korea, the study advances the theory building in strategic environmental risk communication by emphasizing a global/multinational perspective in investigating differences among at-risk publics threatened by large-scale environmental risks. Practical implications: The study's findings provide evidence-based implications such as how government agencies can enhance the environmental risk message strategy so that it induces more desired risk communication outcomes among at-risk publics. Insights from our study offer practical recommendations on which message feature is relatively more impactful in increasing intention for prosocial behavioral changes. Social implications: This study on all measured risk responses reveals important differences between at-risk young publics in China and South Korea and how they respond differently to a shared environmental risk such as PM. The study's findings provide new evidence that media coverage of global environmental issues needs to be studied at the national level, and cross-cultural comparisons are imperative to understand publics' responses to different news strategies. Thus, this study offers implications for practitioners to understand and apply appropriate strategies to publics in a social way across different countries so as to tailor risk communication messaging. Originality/value: This study offers new insights to help connect message framing effects with communication management practice at the multi-national level, providing recommendations for government communication practitioners regarding which PM message features are more likely to be effective in forming proper risk perception and motivate sustainable actions among at-risk publics in different countries. Digital transformation has become a research focus in recent years. Likewise, internal communication (IC) is one of the fastest‐growing specialisations in public relations and communication management. This research explores digital internal communication (DIC) at the nexus between digital transformation and IC. We provide an integrative review of the literature; our thematic analysis of selected journal articles and other scholarly texts is guided by the concept of organisations as socio‐technical systems. Furthermore, we create a template using NVivo software to organise the emerging themes and clusters following the logic of communication levels. This template allows us to explain the phenomenon of DIC in a socio‐technical organisational system and discuss how the emerging themes are interrelated, people‐focused, and linked to competency development and trust‐building. As a contribution to theory, we offer a conceptual model which illustrates the dynamics of DIC as an interplay of socio‐technical elements on three communication levels. This conceptual model can be further developed in scholarly discussions on DIC and by organisations reflecting on their IC use in a digital workplace environment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: Engaging with stakeholders in "a personal, intimate way" (Men and Tsai, 2016, p. 932) or "includ[ing] the 'personal touch'" (Kent and Taylor, 1998, p. 323) is often seen as desirable in internal communication management. While the importance of personal communication is undisputed from the perspectives of internal communication, its communicators, and from internal stakeholders, this is not true when it comes to the dimensions and characteristics that constitute an experience of communication as feeling personal. The present study aims to explore what makes communication personal from the employees' perspective. Design/methodology/approach: The study used the Q methodology and Q method, thus focusing on an individual's subjective perspective. The Q methodology was implemented in the form of a Q-sort survey exploring the perceptions of 32 German employees (selected from a representative cross-section of 400 employees in Germany, using a balanced-block design to maximize heterogeneity). Findings: The results show that while direct and dyadic communication is often perceived as personal, many other dimensions and characteristics are also considered "personal" in both the literature and based on stakeholder perceptions. The Q-sort survey revealed four perception types whose perceptions of communication as "personal" vary widely, with all these types rejecting non-human communicators. Originality/value: This study contributes to the limited understanding of employees' perceptions of internal communication as "personal." It shows how the Q methodology and Q method—a rarely used perspective—can complement existing theoretical and empirical research on internal communication. For internal communication management, the findings show that a "one-size-fits-all" approach must be questioned and that a communication team's involvement in personal communication can have negative consequences. The progressive ageing of developed societies requires strategies and tools to ensure the well-being of older adults. The new communication paradigm offers ways to reduce the stigma associated with ageing and to improve the quality of life for older adults, but it can also create a dynamic that could put their inclusion at risk. The internet has fomented digital gaps that have exacerbated some of the exclusionary barriers faced by many older adults, while allowing a considerable number of others to maintain emotional ties with loved ones during the worst moments of the pandemic. This thematic issue addresses the different opportunities offered by Information and Communication Technology in improving the social inclusion and quality of life of seniors, but it also considers the risks that digitisation may pose by limiting certain rights of this group. Through the different articles in this issue, the repercussions of communication on the management of ageing are highlighted from different perspectives and methodological approaches. In this way, the complexity of the issue has been revealed, along with the need to address it from positive and constructive perspectives that reassess the role of older adults in the societies in which they live. Modern medical devices connected to public and private networks require additional layers of communication and management to effectively and securely treat remote patients. Wearable medical devices, for example, can detect position, movement, and vital signs; such data help improve the quality of care for patients, even when they are not close to a medical doctor or caregiver. In healthcare environments, these devices are called Medical Internet-of-Things (MIoT), which have security as a critical requirement. To protect users, traditional risk assessment (RA) methods can be periodically carried out to identify potential security risks. However, such methods are not suitable to manage sophisticated cyber-attacks happening in near real-time. That is the reason why dynamic RA (DRA) approaches are emerging to tackle the inherent risks to patients employing MIoT as wearable devices. This paper presents a systematic literature review of RA in MIoT that analyses the current trends and existing approaches in this field. From our review, we first observe the significant ways to mitigate the impact of unauthorised intrusions and protect end-users from the leakage of personal data and ensure uninterrupted device usage. Second, we identify the important research directions for DRA that must address the challenges posed by dynamic infrastructures and uncertain attack surfaces in order to better protect users and thwart cyber-attacks before they harm personal (e.g., patients' home) and institutional (e.g., hospital or health clinic) networks. The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of communication in the effective management of resistance to change within IT organizations in Romania. Failures can have multiple causes, including insufficient and incomplete communication, which can lead to resistance. To fulfill the purpose of this research, we applied a questionnaire to a sample of 100 employees. Following the research, we found that face-to-face meetings are the most effective in communicating organizational changes, emphasizing the importance of direct dialogue. Strategies such as recognizing successes, transparent communication, and continuous feedback are critical to managing this resistance. In addition, it emphasizes the importance of clearly communicating the goals and benefits of change, as well as the development and distribution of detailed explanatory materials to facilitate organizational transitions. As residents living in hazard‐prone areas face on‐going environmental threats, the actions they take to mitigate such risks are likely motivated by various factors. Whereas risk perception has been considered a key determinant of related behavioral responses, little is known about how risk mitigation actions influence subsequent perceived risk. In other words, do actions to prevent or mitigate risk reduce risk perception? This longitudinal study considers the dynamic relationships between risk perception and risk‐mitigating behavior in the context of forest disturbance in north‐central Colorado. Based on panel survey data collected in 2007 and 2018, the results provide a first look at changes in perceived forest risks as they relate to individual and community actions in response to an extensive mountain pine beetle outbreak. Analysis revealed that the perception of direct forest risks (forest fire and falling trees) increased, whereas indirect forest risk perception (concern on broader threats to local community) decreased across the two study phases. Higher individual or community activeness (level of actions) was associated with subsequent reductions in perceived forest fire risk, smaller increases in direct risk perception, and larger decreases in indirect risk perception. These findings contribute insights into the complex risk reappraisal process in forest hazard contexts, with direct implications for risk communication and management strategies. In this article, we evaluate the effect of managerial entrenchment on corporate information production using the voting outcomes of shareholder-initiated proposals intended to mitigate managerial entrenchment. We focus on the proposals that are passed or rejected by a small margin of votes, which generate plausibly exogenous variations in managerial entrenchment. We find that a reduction in managerial entrenchment enhances corporate information production. The effects are stronger for firms with greater information asymmetries and severer agency frictions. Overall, the evidence is consistent with the view that reducing managerial entrenchment enhances corporate disclosure by aligning the incentives of managers and shareholders. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article presents the discussion on growing demand for Technical Program Managers (TPMs) in the tech industry, highlighting their dual role in managing technical details and broader business impacts. The exponential growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) is being witnessed nowadays in different sectors. This makes IoT data communications more complex and harder to manage. Addressing such a challenge using a centralized model is an ineffective approach and would result in security and privacy difficulties. Technologies such as blockchain provide a potential solution to enable secure and effective management of IoT data communication in a distributed and trustless manner. In this paper, a novel lightweight blockchain-centric IoT architecture is proposed to address effective IoT data communication management. It is based on an event-driven smart contract that enables manageable and trustless IoT data exchange using a simple publish/subscribe model. To maintain system complexity and overhead at a minimum, the design of the proposed system relies on a single smart contract. All the system operations that enable effective IoT data communication among the different parties of the system are defined in the smart contract. There is no direct blockchain–IoT-device interaction, making the system more useable in wide IoT deployments incorporating IoT devices with limited computing and energy resources. A practical Ethereum-based implementation of the system was developed with the ability to simulate different IoT setups. The evaluation results demonstrated the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed architecture. Device‐to‐Device (D2D) communication is one of the leading technologies which works under the aegis of fifth generation (5G) communication for the Internet of Things in Healthcare. In D2D communication, power control with resource allocation is the most challenging area for the research to make them suitable for IoT devices. In the present work, power control with resource allocation is done by using the Linear pricing game power allocation method. First, a mathematical min‐function based problem is proposed whilst taking the interference, data rate and minimum power requirement as a constraint to ensure the resource and power allocation. In the next phase, a linear pricing game (LPG) method is utilized to propose the LPG power control with resource allocation (L‐PaRAG). Mathematical analysis and theorem ensure the minimum cost function with global stability for an optimal solution of the proposed problem. Numerical analysis and results show that the proposed algorithm gives the best results for power control and resource management whilst managing the interference to maintain the quality of services (QoS) in D2D communication. The present study examines the discourse of the then Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, following the 2018 July wildfire disaster in the Eastern Attica suburbs including Mati to reveal the frames employed by the main protagonist utilizing existing framing models while also incorporating the notions of ethic of care and strategic ambiguity. The then government received extensive criticism by the media and political opponents in regard to the management and communication responses of the then Prime Minister. A content analysis was conducted to the statements made by the then Prime Minister. Findings indicate that Tsipras during the initial stages of the crisis acknowledged the extent of crisis while also emphasizing the successful crisis response efforts. Moreover, strategic ambiguity along with low levels of "caring" were important elements of Tsipras' narrative at the initial stage. As the public outrage and criticism intensified, Tsipras incorporated a more caring profile and presented the disaster as a "critical opportunity" by shifting the blame to previous governments and proposing policy changes. Background: The ward round is an integral part of everyday surgical practice. It is a complex clinical activity that requires both sound clinical management and communication skills. This study reports the results of a consensus-building exercise on the common aspects of the general surgical ward rounds. Methods: The consensus-building committee involving a range of stakeholders from 16 United Kingdom (UK) National Health Service trusts took part in this consensus exercise. The members discussed and suggested a series of statements concerning surgical ward round. An agreement of ≥ 70% among members was regarded as a consensus. Results: Thirty-two members voted on 60 statements. There was a consensus on fifty-nine statements after the first round of voting, and one statement was modified before it reached consensus in the second round. The statements covered nine sections: a preparation phase, team allocation, multidisciplinary approach to the ward round, structure of the round, teaching considerations, confidentiality and privacy, documentation, post-round arrangements, and weekend round. There was a consensus on spending time to prepare for the round, a consultant-led round, involvement of the nursing staff, an MDT round at the beginning and end of the week, a minimum of 5 min allocated to each patient, utilisation of a round checklist, afternoon virtual round, and a clear handover and plan for the weekend. Conclusion: The consensus committee achieved agreement on several aspects concerning the surgical ward rounds in the UK NHS. This should help improve the care of surgical patients in the UK. Purpose: Advancements in management of non-communicable diseases using regular reminders on lifestyle and dietary behaviors have been effectively achieved using mobile phones. This study evaluates the effects of regular communication using a mobile phone on dietary management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) among patients attending Kitui County Referral Hospital (KCRH) in Kenya. Methods: Pre/post-study design among eligible and consenting T2DM patients visiting KCRH was used for this study. One hundred and thirty-eight T2DM patients were enrolled; 67 in the intervention group (IG) and 71 in the control group (CG). The IG received regular reminders on key dietary practices through their mobile phones for six months while the CG did not. The Net Effect of Intervention (NEI) and bivariate logistic regression were used to determine the impact of mobile phone communication intervention at p < 0.05. SPSS version 24 was used to analyze the data. Results: The results revealed an increase of respondents who adhered to the meal plan in the IG from 47.8% to 59.7% compared to a decrease from 49.3% to 45.1% in CG with corresponding NEI increasing (16.1%) significantly (p < 0.05). The proportion of respondents with an increased frequency of meals increased from 41.8 to 47.8% in the IG compared to a reduction from 52.1% to 45.1% in the CG with corresponding NEI increasing (13.0%) significantly (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Regular reminders on lifestyle and dietary behaviors using mobile phone communication improved adherence to dietary practices such as meal planning and frequency of meals in the management of T2DM. Organizations facing the question of whether to adopt an ethical management programme not only face this question, but also that of which tools to apply to achieve this. Although having a code of ethics is usually the main tool through which an organisation accomplishes this, it is not the only tool available. For an organisation's ethical management programme to be effective, the tools applied must form an interconnected whole, which is often referred to as a company’s “ethical infrastructure”. This infrastructure usually includes, among other things, ethical leadership, ethics training and communication for management and employees alike, an internal ethics committee, an ethics officer, etc. The aim of this paper is to describe, analyse and evaluate the main tools organisations use to implement ethical management programmes in addition to a code of ethics. Within this context, the research sought to determine how widespread certain ethical management tools are among Czech companies, what the main factors are that influence their prevalence and structure, and to evaluate how effective these tools are. Natural resource management is rapidly shifting to incorporate a deeper understanding of ecological processes and functioning, including attention to invasive species. The shift to understand public perceptions of resource management and invasives is much slower. Information influences both landscape preference and behaviors. Theory suggests that increasingly engaging information should have concurrently greater impacts. This research tested the effect of increasingly engaging information on visitor preferences and intentions to return to landscapes treated in response to emerald ash borer (EAB; Agrilus planipennis). Park visitors in a midwestern-U.S. state randomly received one of four messages about forest management in response to EAB (control, photo, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR)). Messaging impacted preferences for three of the four management approaches, but significant changes in displacement intentions emerged in only one of the four. Specifically, VR and AR increased preferences for complete harvest compared to photos/text, but not differently from those who received no information. VR significantly lowered preferences for select harvest with natural regeneration. The photo/text treatment increased preference for select harvest with planted trees over no information. Any information reduced displacement in response to a photo depicting "select harvest, planted trees." Subsequently judicious use of advanced communications like VR can optimize increasing scarce resources and maintain or optimize ecological services. Product Lifecycle Management remains a strategy that aims to strengthen the capabilities and competitive advantages of the company. Its implementation and its adoption depend on the problems that are brought back to be solved by this tool as well as its acceptance by the companies that will implement it. Hence, we like to introduce this approach within the cottage industry to improve its competitiveness. For this, we are going to present this article as being the first step towards the introduction of this strategy within the craft sector. So, we aim to investigate the problems faced by the craft sector, the levers favoring the establishment of this kind of approach and to analyse the independence between the problems investigated, the nature of the companies interviewed and their sector of activity. Data was gathered from surveys of 132 craft industries the primary data analysis was performed using excel and SPSS techniques and chi square test. The results affirm that the management and communication problems, as well as problems related to the raw material waste, are the most dominant in the sector. Methods: The protocol for this systematic review was based on the Cochrane Handbook methodology and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Protocols (PRISMA-P) recommendations. A systematic search of the literature on electronic databases Medline, Embase, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, PsycINFO, and Web of Science (from the inception to 19 June 2022) was carried out using predefined search terms to identify relevant studies. This review will include randomized clinical trials or observational studies. The search strategy consisted of keywords and index terms related to "clinician", "communication" or "post-surgical pain". Inclusion criteria are as follows: randomized clinical trials or observational studies using a parallel group design that assess the efficacy of communication interventions in patients undergoing surgery and that assess pain and pain-related disability. We considered interventions that included any type of written, verbal, and non-verbal communication in combination with other interventions or without. Control groups may include no communication intervention or another intervention distinctly different. We excluded studies with follow-up duration of less than 3 months, patients aged < 18 years, and studies for which no reviewer had language proficiency (eg, Chinese, Korean). Descriptive statistics will be used to summarize quantitative findings. Meta-analysis will only be considered if at least three studies used the same outcome with comparable interventions, as we expect a wide heterogeneity of study population and settings. The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of Knowledge Management Capability (KMC), Workforce Diversity (WD), and Organisational Commitment(OC) on the Organisational Performance (OP) of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in China that are owned by German companies. The researcher employed a mixed-methods approach to addressthe lack of existing theory and current knowledge, particularly in the context of knowledge management and communication (KMC) practices in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Germany. During the initial phase, a quantitative survey was conducted by the researcher. A selfadministered questionnaire, utilising a 5-point Likert Scale, was distributed to a total of 620 respondents. Out of these, 435 questionnaires were deemed usable for analysis. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was utilised to validate the conceptual model and its associated hypotheses. In the second phase of the study, a qualitative survey was conducted. The researcher employed the purposive sampling technique to select a sample of 32 informants. These informants were approached to provide insights on the model through focus group discussions and oneto-one interviews. The objective of this study is to enhance the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Germany by placing greater emphasis on knowledge management capabilities (KMC), organisational culture (OC), and workplace diversity (WD). Three additional professors from the University were extended invitations to provide their insights and elucidate the model. The results suggest that Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC), Water Disinfection (WD), and Oral Contraceptives (OC) have a direct and significant impact on Osteoporosis (OP). The role of OC has been empirically demonstrated to act as a mediator between KMC and OP. The consideration of KMCas a factor of lesser concern isimportant in the context of daily operational activities. The findings of this study have implications for the decision-making processes of German small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in overseas branches. This mixed-method study aims to analyze how and when employees' perceptions of positive organizational change may be related to role clarity and resilience and conditional on supervisor support levels. A total of 40 employees participated in focus groups. Thematic analysis revealed that participants perceived differently organizational change, role, supervisor support, and resilience. A total of 178 employees completed questionnaires analyzing perceptions of organizational change, role clarity, resilience, and supervisor support. Quantitative analyses revealed that role clarity mediated the association between employees' perceptions of positive organizational change and resilience. This relationship was enhanced by supervisor support. Overall, the results suggest that employees who positively perceive organizational change may more easily understand their new role and demands, which is positively related to their resilience. When employees perceive being supported by their supervisors, they are more likely to perceive themselves as resilient, even in the face of organizational change. Our results suggest that organizations should adopt a transparent change management communication plan based on employee involvement. MAD statement This study moves an important step forward in both the change management and resilience literature, as it is the first to examine the mechanisms and boundary conditions explaining how and when employees' perceptions of positive organizational change may facilitate resilience. By adopting a positive psychology perspective and a mixed-method design, this study identifies role clarity and supervisor support as two important resources that allow employees to benefit from organizational change.
