We have studied color-octet contributions for $J/\psi$ inclusive production at B factories, i.e., $e^+e^-\to J/\psi(^3P_J^{[8]},^1S_0^{[8]}) + X_{\mathrm{non}-c\bar c}$, using the soft gluon factorization (SGF) approach, in which the $J/\psi$ energy spectrum is expressed in a form of perturbatively calculable short-distance hard parts convoluted with one-dimensional soft gluon distributions (SGDs). The series of velocity corrections originated from kinematic effect can be naturally resummed in this approach. Short-distance hard parts have been calculated analytically to next-to-leading order in $\alpha_s$. Renormalization group equations for SGDs have been derived and solved, which resums Sudakov logarithms originated from soft gluon emissions. Our final result gives a upper bound for color-octet matrix elements consistent with that extracted from hadron colliders. This may relieve the well-known universality problem in the NRQCD factorization. As a comparison, we also analytically calculated short-distance hard parts in the NRQCD factorization, with Sudakov logarithms resummed by using soft collinear effective theory. The comparison shows that velocity corrections from kinematic effect, which have been resummed in SGF, are significant for phenomenological study. Furthermore, it is found that Sudakov logarithms originated from soft gluon emissions are very important, while it is not the case for Sudakov logarithms originated from jet function. The complete geometry of quantum states in parameter space is characterized by the quantum geometric tensor, which contains the quantum metric and Berry curvature as the real and imaginary parts, respectively. When the quantum states are degenerate, the quantum metric and Berry curvature take non-Abelian forms. The non-Abelian (Abelian) Berry curvature and Abelian quantum metric have been experimentally measured. However, an experimentally feasible scheme to extract all the components of the non-Abelian quantum metric tensor is still lacking. Here we propose a generic protocol to directly extract the non-Abelian quantum metric tensor in arbitrary degenerate quantum states in any dimensional parameter space, based on measuring the transition probabilities after parameter quenches. Furthermore, we show that the non-Abelian quantum metric can be measured to obtain the real Chern number of a generalized Dirac monopole and the second Chern number of a Yang monopole, which can be simulated in three and five-dimensional parameter space of artificial quantum systems, respectively. A black hole (BH) hyperaccretion system might be born after the merger of a BH and a neutron star (NS) or a binary NS (BNS). In the case of a high mass accretion rate, the hyperaccretion disk is in a state of neutrino-dominated accretion flow (NDAF) and emits numerous anisotropic MeV neutrinos. Only a small fraction of these neutrinos annihilates in the space outside of the disk and then launch ultrarelativistic jets that break away from the merger ejecta to power gamma-ray bursts. Mergers and their remnants are generally considered sources of gravitational waves (GWs), neutrinos, and kilonovae. Anisotropic neutrino emission and anisotropic high-velocity material outflows from central BH-NDAF systems can also trigger strong GWs and luminous disk-outflow-driven (DOD) kilonovae, respectively. In this paper, the anisotropic multimessenger signals from NDAFs with outflows, including DOD kilonovae, MeV neutrinos, and GWs, are presented. As the results, the typical AB magnitude of the DOD kilonovae is lower than that of AT 2017gfo at the same distance, and it decreases with increasing viewing angles and its anisotropy is not sensitive to the outflow mass distribution but mainly determined by the velocity distribution. Since neutrinos with $\gtrsim 10~\rm MeV$ are mainly produced in the inner region of the disk, they will be dramatically deflected to a large viewing angle by relativity effects. Moreover, the strains of GWs induced by anisotropic neutrinos increase with increasing viewing angles. We present wide-field multi-wavelength observations of $\gamma$ Cassiopeiae (or $\gamma$~Cas for short) in order to study its feedback toward the interstellar environment. A large expanding cavity is discovered toward $\gamma$~Cas in the neutral hydrogen (HI) images at a systemic velocity of about -10 km/s. The measured dimension of the cavity is roughly 2.0 deg $\times$ 1.4 deg (or 6.0 pc $\times$ 4.2 pc at a distance of 168 pc), while the expansion velocity is about 5.0$\pm$0.5 km/s. The CO observations reveal systematic velocity gradients in IC63 (about 20 km/s/pc) and IC59 (about 30 km/s/pc), two cometary globules illuminated by $\gamma$~Cas, proving fast acceleration of the globules under stellar radiation pressure. The gas kinematics indicate that the cavity is opened by strong stellar wind, which has high potential to lead to the peculiar X-ray emission observed in $\gamma$~Cas. We study the Josephson effect in spin-triplet superconductor$-$quantum anomalous Hall insulator$-$spin-triplet superconductor junctions using the nonequilibrium Green function method. The current-phase difference relations show strong dependence on the orientations of the $\bf{d}$-vectors in superconductors. We focus on two $\bf{d}$-vector configurations, the parallel one with the left and right ${\bf{d}}$-vectors being in the same direction, and the nonparallel one with the left ${\bf{d}}$-vector fixed at the $z$-axis. For the parallel configuration, the $0$-$\pi$ transition can be realized when one rotates the ${\bf{d}}$-vectors from the parallel to the junction plane to the perpendicular direction. The $\phi_{0}$ phase with nonzero Josephson current at zero phase difference can be obtained as long as ${d_{x}}{d_{z}}\ne0$. For the nonparallel configuration, the $0$-$\pi$ transition and the $\phi_{0}$ phase still exist. The condition for the formation of the $\phi_{0}$ phase becomes $d_{Rx}\ne0$. The switch effects of the Josephson current are found in both configurations when the ${\bf{d}}$-vectors are rotated in the $xy$ plane. Furthermore, the symmetries satisfied by the current-phase difference relations are analysed in details by the operations of the time-reversal, mirror-reflections, the spin-rotation and the gauge transformation, which can well explain the above selection rules for the $\phi_{0}$ phase. Our results reveal the peculiar Josephson effect between spin-triplet superconductors and the quantum anomalous Hall insulator, which provide helpful phases and effects for the device designs. Noise is a significant part within a millimeter-wave molecular line datacube. Analyzing the noise improves our understanding of noise characteristics, and further contributes to scientific discoveries. We measure the noise level of a single datacube from MWISP and perform statistical analyses. We identified major factors which increase the noise level of a single datacube, including bad channels, edge effects, baseline distortion and line contamination. Cleaning algorithms are applied to remove or reduce these noise components. As a result, we obtained the cleaned datacube in which noise follows a positively skewed normal distribution. We further analyzed the noise structure distribution of a 3D mosaicked datacube in the range l = 40{\deg}.7 to 43{\deg}.3 and b = -2{\deg}.3 to 0{\deg}.3 and found that noise in the final mosaicked datacube is mainly characterized by noise fluctuation among the cells.

In this paper, we review the current status of the phenomenological study of quarkonium production in high energy collisions. After a brief introduction of several important models and effective field theories for quarkonium production, we discuss the comparisons between theoretical predictions and experimental measurements.

Recently, photons have been observed to possess transverse orbital angular momentum (OAM); however, it is unclear as whether they can hold a transverse OAM higher than 1. Here, we theoretically and experimentally demonstrate that high-order spatiotemporal Bessel optical vortices (STBOVs) can stably carry transverse OAM even beyond $10^2$. Through the inverse design of the spiral phase, an STBOV of any order can be controllably generated using a 4f pulse shaper. In contrast to conventional longitudinal OAM, the vector direction of the transverse OAM can be distinguished by the unique time-symmetrical evolution of STBOVs. More interestingly, the stability of STBOVs improves with their increasing orders owing to enhanced space-time coupling, making these beams particularly suitable for the generation of ultra-high transverse OAM. Our work paves the way for further research and application of this unique OAM of photons.

We attempt to visually classify the morphologies of 18190 molecular clouds, which are identified in the $^{12}$CO(1-0) spectral line data over $\sim$ 450 deg$^{2}$ of the second Galactic quadrant from the Milky Way Imaging Scroll Painting project (MWISP). Using the velocity-integrated intensity maps of the $^{12}$CO(1-0) emission, molecular clouds are first divided into unresolved and resolved ones. The resolved clouds are further classified as non-filaments or filaments. Among the 18190 molecular clouds, $\sim$ 25 $\%$ are unresolved, $\sim$ 64$\%$ are non-filaments, and $\sim$ 11$\%$ are filaments. In the terms of the integrated flux of $^{12}$CO(1-0) spectra of the whole 18190 molecular clouds, $\sim$ 90$\%$ are from filaments, $\sim$ 9$\%$ are from non-filaments, and the rest $\sim$ 1$\%$ are from unresolved sources. Although non-filaments are dominant in the number of the discrete molecular clouds, filaments are the main contributor of $^{12}$CO emission flux. We also present the number distributions of physical parameters of the molecular clouds in our catalog, including their angular sizes, velocity spans, peak intensities of $^{12}$CO(1-0) emission, and $^{12}$CO(1-0) total fluxes. We find that there is a systematic difference between the angular sizes of the non-filaments and filaments, with the filaments tending to have larger angular scales. The H$_{2}$ column densities of them are not significantly different. The principle of the background-eliminated extinction-parallax (BEEP) method is examining the extinction difference between on- and off-cloud regions to reveal the extinction jump caused by molecular clouds, thereby revealing the distance in complex dust environments. The BEEP method requires high-quality images of molecular clouds and high-precision stellar parallaxes and extinction data, which can be provided by the Milky Way Imaging Scroll Painting (MWISP) CO survey and the Gaia DR2 catalog, as well as supplementary AV extinction data. In this work, the BEEP method is further improved (BEEP-II) to measure molecular cloud distances in a global search manner. Applying the BEEP-II method to three regions mapped by the MWISP CO survey, we collectively measured 238 distances for 234 molecular clouds. Compared with previous BEEP results, the BEEP-II method measures distances efficiently, particularly for those molecular clouds with large angular size or in complicated environments, making it suitable for distance measurements of molecular clouds in large samples., Comment: Accepted for publication in ApJ. 17 pages, 8 figures

By using gauge/gravity duality, we calculate the spectral function of the heavy vector mesons with the presence of an intense magnetic field in a hot and dense medium. The results show that, a general conclusion, as the increases of magnetic field, chemical potential and temperature, the height of the peak of the spectral function decreases and the width increases. A nontrivial result is the change from the peak position of spectral function. We explain this non-trivial behavior by the interplay of the interaction between the two heavy quarks and the interaction between the medium with each of the heavy quarks.

We report the global properties recovered by an ongoing CO survey of the Milky Way Imaging Scroll Painting (MWISP) toward the Galactic outskirts. %To better understand the observational biases, Our results are also compared to those extracted by a uniform decomposition method from the CfA 1.2 m CO survey and the FCRAO 14 m outer Galaxy survey (OGS). We find that more extended and unseen structures are present in the MWISP data. The total flux across the disk recovered by the MWISP survey is 1.6 times larger than those recovered by the CfA and OGS surveys in the case of the same resolution. The discrepancies are scaling with distance. For example, in the outermost OSC arm, the flux ratios for MWISP-to-CfA and MWISP-to-OGS increase up to 43.8 and 7.4, respectively. Nonetheless, the census of molecular gas in our Galaxy is still far from complete by the MWISP, with flux completeness of $<$58%. The total mass ratios of the tabulated molecular clouds between different surveys are similar to the CO flux ratio. The application of these ratios to the total H$_{\rm 2}$ mass of our Galaxy yields a correction factor of at least 1.4, meaning that the H$_{\rm 2}$ mass of our Galaxy should be at least 40% more massive than previously determined. Including the completeness correction, an even more significant fraction of the matter should be contributed by baryonic matter. The mass spectrum in the outer Galactic plane is better described by a non-truncating power-law with $\gamma$=$-$1.83$\pm$0.05, and an upper mass of $M_0$=(1.3$\pm$0.5)$\times$10$^{\rm 6}$ $M_\odot$., Comment: 27 pages, 9 figures, 10 tables, accepted to ApJS

With a key improvement, the auxiliary mass flow method is now able to compute Feynman integrals encountered in cutting-edge collider processes. We have successfully applied it to compute some integrals involved in two-loop electroweak corrections to $e^+e^-\to HZ$, two-loop QCD corrections to $3j$, $W/Z/H+2j$, $t\bar{t}H$ and $4j$ production at hadron colliders, and three-loop QCD corrections to $t\bar{t}$ production at hadron colliders, all of which are crucial for precision frontier in collider physics in the following decade. Among non-Hermitian systems, pseudo-Hermitian phases represent a special class of physical models characterized by real energy spectra and by the absence of non-Hermitian skin effects. Here, we show that several pseudo-Hermitian phases in two and three dimensions can be built by employing $q$-deformed matrices, which are related to the representation of deformed algebras. Through this algebraic approach we present and study the pseudo-Hermitian version of well known Hermitian topological phases, raging from two-dimensional Chern insulators and time-reversal-invariant topological insulators to three-dimensional Weyl semimetals and chiral topological insulators. We analyze their topological bulk states through non-Hermitian generalizations of Abelian and non-Abelian tensor Berry connections and quantum metric. Although our pseudo-Hermitian models and their Hermitian counterparts share the same topological invariants, their band geometries are different. We indeed show that some of our pseudo-Hermitian phases naturally support nearly-flat topological bands, opening the route to the study of pseudo-Hermitian strongly-interacting systems. Finally, we provide an experimental protocol to realize our models and measure the full non-Hermitian quantum geometric tensor in synthetic matter., Comment: Comments are welcome
