The paper presents a study on the magnetic characteristics of hexagonal boron nitride using Monte Carlo simulations through the Metropolis algorithm. The study used the Blume-Capel Ising model to analyze the behavior of magnetizations and susceptibilities under the effect of the temperature, mixed exchange coupling, crystalline and external magnetic fields. The results show that the blocking temperature, where the magnetic atoms become magnetically frozen, increases as the exchange coupling interaction becomes weaker and as the external magnetic field increases. The findings indicate that the blocking temperature of the system is significantly influenced by the physical parameters employed in this study. Besides, the investigation at hand could serve as a foundation for researchers to innovate novel categories of spintronics and magnetic memory devices, featuring enhanced performance and functionality. We studied some magnetic behaviors of the Ising model in a single-wall mixed spin (σ = ½, S = 1) triangular nanotube using the effective field theory with correlations (EFTC), and the differential operator technique (DOT). The effects of exchange interactions as well as the temperature and the applied field on the magnetic properties of the nanotube, such as isotherm and spontaneous magnetizations, were carefully analyzed. We demonstrated that the low-temperature behavior of the magnetization is very sensitive to the exchange interactions involved, especially in the case of competitional couplings. Besides the phase diagram, unusual phenomena have been discovered, especially for opposite exchange interactions where magnetization plateaus and frustration are observed. Several forms of ferrimagnetism have been revealed for judicious choices of exchange and single-ion anisotropy. One of the most notable effects is the occurrence of magnetization jumps and fractional plateaus due to both the geometry and the competition between exchange couplings, on the one hand, and the applied magnetic field, on the other hand. We investigated the dynamic phase transitions (DPTs) in the mixed spin (2, 5/2) Blume-Emery-Griffiths model with repulsive biquadratic interaction in the presence of a time-varying magnetic field. We used the path probability method to obtain the set of the dynamic equations. We numerically solved these dynamic equations to characterize the nature of first- and second-order phase transitions and to find the DPT temperatures as well as obtain the phases in the system. We constructed the dynamic phase diagrams (DPDs) in reduced temperature and amplitude of oscillating magnetic field plane. We observed that the DPDs display richer, complex and more topological various type of phase diagrams. In particular, DPDs exhibit the disordered phase, antiquadrupolar or staggered phase, six different ferrimagnetic phases, three different nonmagnetic phases, and numerous mixed phases. DPDs also display two dynamic tricritical points for only smaller values of crystal-field interactions, multiple critical end and double critical end points, one zero-temperature critical point, one inverse critical end point, and a quadruple point depending on interaction parameters. The system always shows the reentrant behaviors for the higher values of magnetic field amplitude, but it does not exhibit the dynamic tricritical behavior for higher values of crystal-field parameter. In the presence of the crystal field D/JCore and the external magnetic field h/JCore, using the Monte Carlo (MC) simulation based on the heat bath algorithm and the effective field theory (EFT), the triangular mixed spin nanowire model consisting of a spin-(1/2) core which is encircled by a spin-1 ferrimagnetic surface shell is studied. We have studied the special effects of the core surface and crystal field on the critical and compensation temperatures. Several properties, such as the magnetization, hysteresis behaviors, coercive field, and remanent magnetizations are studied. We proposed a ferrimagnetic mixed-spin (1, 3/2) Ising model to study the magnetic behaviors of a graphene ladder-type chain structure by means of Monte Carlo simulation. Induced by different physical parameters, the system can display interesting magnetic behaviors such multiple saturation magnetization values, double-peak susceptibility curves, and multi-cycle hysteresis loops. The magnetic properties of multilayered with alternating magnetic wires with the mixed spins-2 and 5/2 ferrimagnetic Ising model have been studied using the Monte Carlo simulations. We have given the ground state phase diagrams of a mixed Ising model on a multilayered with alternating magnetic wires with the mixed spins S (±2, ±1,0) and σ(±5/2, ±3/2,±1/2). The proposed Hamiltonian includes exchange interactions, crystal field and external magnetic field. The reduced transition temperature is deduced for a fixed value of layers. The effect of the exchange interactions and the crystal field on the magnetization of several layers has been investigated for a fixed values of layer with spin-3/2 and varying the layer values with spin-2. The probability distribution technique, exploited within the framework of effective field theory and the Ising model, was used to study the magnetic and thermal properties of a nanowire assimilated to a hexagonal shaped system of a core–shell structure and with mixed spins (3 / 2 , 2) , respectively. The coupling between core and shell is ferrimagnetic. Under certain physical parameter values, the nanowire exhibits the compensation behavior. The hysteresis behavior was investigated in the presence of an external magnetic field by magnetizing and demagnetizing the nanowire, as well as the effects of single ion anisotropy, ferrimagnetic exchange interactions and temperature on hysteresis loops. The dependence of the shapes of loops on the physical parameters of the system has been elucidated. At low temperatures, the nanowire exhibits triple, quadruple, quintuple, sextuple, septuple and nonuple hysteresis loop behaviors, which have important technological applications. Furthermore, the thermodynamic properties of the nanowire was also studied by evaluating the susceptibility, the internal energy and specific heat for a variety of system physical parameters. The magnetic properties of spins -S and σ Ising model on the Bethe lattice have been investigated by using the Monte Carlo simulation. In this study we used the path probability method (PPM) to calculate the dynamic phase diagrams of a ferrimagnetic mixed spin-(1/2, 1) Ising system under an oscillating magnetic field. One of the main advantages of the PPM over the mean-field approximation and the effective-field theory based on Glauber-type stochastic dynamics is that it contains two rate constants which are very important for studying dynamic behaviors. We present the dynamic phase diagrams in the reduced magnetic field amplitude and reduced temperature plane and the twelve main different topological types of the phase diagrams are obtained. The phase diagrams contain paramagnetic (p), ferrimagnetic (i) and i + p mixed phases. They also exhibit a dynamic tricritical and reentrant behavior as well as the dynamic double critical end point (B), critical end point (E), quadruple point (QP) and triple point (TP). The dynamic phase diagrams are compared and discussed with the phase diagrams obtained in previous works within the mean-field approximation and the effective-field theory based on Glauber-type stochastic dynamics. Nonequilibrium phase transition properties of a mixed Ising ferrimagnetic model consisting of spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 on a square lattice under the existence of a time dependent oscillating magnetic field have been investigated by making use of Monte Carlo simulations with a single-spin flip Metropolis algorithm. A complete picture of dynamic phase boundary and magnetization profiles have been illustrated and the conditions of a dynamic compensation behavior have been discussed in detail. According to our simulation results, the considered system does not point out a dynamic compensation behavior, when it only includes the nearest-neighbor interaction, single-ion anisotropy and an oscillating magnetic field source. As the next-nearest-neighbor interaction between the spins-1/2 takes into account and exceeds a characteristic value which sensitively depends upon values of single-ion anisotropy and only of amplitude of external magnetic field, a dynamic compensation behavior occurs in the system. Finally, it is reported that it has not been found any evidence of dynamically first-order phase transition between dynamically ordered and disordered phases, which conflicts with the recently published molecular field investigation, for a wide range of selected system parameters. Keskin and Ertaş (2009) presented a study of the magnetic properties of a mixed spin (2, 5/2) ferrimagnetic Ising model within an oscillating magnetic field. They employed dynamic mean-field calculations to find the dynamic phase transition temperatures, the dynamic compensation points of the model and to present the dynamic phase diagrams. In this work, we extend the study and investigate the dynamic hysteresis behaviors for the two-dimensional (2D) mixed spin (2, 5/2) ferrimagnetic Ising model on a hexagonal lattice in an oscillating magnetic field within the framework of dynamic mean-field calculations. The dynamic hysteresis curves are obtained for both the ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions and the effects of the Hamiltonian parameters on the dynamic hysteresis behaviors are discussed in detail. The thermal behaviors of the coercivity and remanent magnetizations are also investigated. The results are compared with some theoretical and experimental works and a qualitatively good agreement is found. Finally, the dynamic phase diagrams depending on the frequency of an oscillating magnetic field in the plane of the reduced temperature versus magnetic field amplitude is examined and it is found that the dynamic phase diagrams display richer dynamic critical behavior for higher values of frequency than for lower values. • The mixed spin Ising model is generally used as a modeling tool to study ferrimagnetism. • Monte Carlo simulation to study the critical and the compensation behaviors of a cubic lattice considering a mixed spin- 3/2 and spin-1 Ising ferrimagnetic model. • The presence of crystal and external magnetic fields is not sufficient to generate the compensation phenomenon in a mixed spins. In this study, we perform Monte Carlo simulations to study the magnetic properties of a mixed Ising model on a cubic lattice where spins S i A = 1 and σ J B = 3/2 are located in sublattice A and B, respectively. The proposed Hamiltonian includes coupling to nearest-neighbors interactions, next-nearest-neighbors interactions, crystal fields D S and D σ and external magnetic field h. We perform exact ground-state calculations for our model. The obtained results show the behavior of the critical temperature with the presence of the compensation temperatures under a certain range of parameters. Particularly, we found that the existence of compensation temperatures depends on the strength of the coupling to the next nearest neighbors between the S i A spins and between the σ J B spins, and it appears in a certain range of values of the external magnetic and crystal field of different spins. The effective-field theory with correlations based on Glauber-type stochastic dynamic is used to study the dynamic compensation behavior of the mixed spin-1 and spin-3/2 ferrimagnetic Ising model. The system is a layered honeycomb structure in which two kinds of spins (spin-1 and spin-3/2) occupy sites alternately. This is related to the experimental works of a molecular-based magnetic multilayer film, AM II Fe II ( C 2 O 4 ) 3 ( A = N ( n − C n H 2 n + 1 ) 4 , M II = Mn,Fe ) . The system is in the presence of a sinusoidal oscillating magnetic field and the Glauber dynamic is used to describe the time evolution of the system. The effects of the interlayer coupling and a crystal-field constant of the spin-1 sublattice on the compensation temperature are investigated. Dynamic phase diagrams, including the compensation points are presented. Besides second-order phase transition, lines of first-order phase transition, the dynamic tricritical point, the dynamic zero-temperature critical point and the multicritical point are found. The effect of the canting of local anisotropy axes on the ground-state phase diagram and magnetization of a ferrimagnetic chain with regularly alternating Ising and Heisenberg spins is exactly examined in an arbitrarily oriented magnetic field. It is shown that individual contributions of the Ising and Heisenberg spins to the total magnetization basically depend on the spatial orientation of the magnetic field and the canting angle between two different local anisotropy axes of the Ising spins. We applied Monte Carlo simulation to investigate the thermodynamic properties and hysteresis loops of the hexagonal core-shell nanoparticle described by a ferrimagnetic mixed-spin (3/2, 5/2) Ising model. The results revealed the significance of the single-ion anisotropy, exchange coupling, external magnetic field in dominating various thermodynamic quantities and hysteresis loops. Magnetic and thermodynamic characteristics of Ising ferrimagnetic core-shell graphene nanoribbon with core spin −2 and shell spin 5/2 were investigated by using the effective field theory with correlations. Some characteristic phenomena have been found in the system. Different saturation magnetization and P-type and Q-type curves were found on the magnetization curves. At low temperature, the magnetization has obvious magnetization platform. Due to the results of exchange coupling, anisotropy and external magnetic field competition, the m 5 -m 7 sublattice magnetization platform presents a concave shape. In this paper, we proposed a ferrimagnetic mixed-spin (1, 3/2) Ising model to describe the ladder-like graphene nanoribbon. Using the Monte Carlo simulation, the effects of the anisotropies, exchange couplings, longitudinal magnetic field and temperature on the magnetic and thermodynamic properties were investigated. Typical temperature dependences of thermodynamics quantities such as magnetization, susceptibility and internal energy were presented under the influence of various physical parameters. The phase diagrams of blocking temperature were obtained in the different parameter planes. In particular, we also found some interesting double hysteresis loops behavior for certain physical parameters.
