Abstract

The authors reflect on issues confronting the scholarly publishing sector as of May 2016, particularly the cases of questionable practices that mainly affect young researchers. They explain why a discipline on scientific information security should be established to focus on probing cybercrimes and attacks on information science. Also cited are the four major aspects of information security, namely, data, content, device, and behavioral security.
