China is rich in karst resources and famous for its karst landscape. As a part of karst, the popularity of red karst is obviously low and has received little attention; moreover, the related scientific research and tourism development are relatively immature. Therefore, this paper takes the red karst in Tongren, Guizhou as the research object, analyzes the characteristics and causes of the red karst, comprehensively evaluates its landscape value, and puts forward development strategies and protection suggestions. Through the above research, the following three research results are obtained. (1) On the basis of a field investigation and a literature review, the geographical situation, background, and landscape characteristics of the red karst landform and its surrounding areas in Tongren City were investigated in detail. It forms isolated peaks, rock walls, protruding rocks, stone pillars, and other forms. The most prominent features of the red karst landscape in Tongren City are that the color is red and white, and the shape is concave and convex in order. (2) Geochemical test and structural data collection and analyses of the collected samples were performed. The obtain concave layer rock is dolomitic limestone, and that convex lay rock is argillaceous dolomitic limestone. Because the convex layer rock sample is high in silicon element content, the convex layer rock sample is not easy to be weathered, is rich in clay mineral, and is not easy to be corrode; the convex layer rock sample gradually protrudes with the passage of time to form an uneven shape. The red karst landform is developed in either the rock stratum or tectonic zone with moderate tectonic deformation intensity. First, the formation of a single-layer honeycomb morphology requires that the rock stratum is subjected to a sufficient horizontal compressive stress at a certain burial depth. Second, it is necessary to widely exist in areas with relatively gentle rock formation occurrence; too strong of a structural deformation will make the rock formation occurrence steep, which is not conducive to the occurrence of differential dissolution between adjacent strata. (3) Through the construction of an evaluation index system, the red karst in Tongren City is evaluated, and it is concluded that the geological heritage value is high, and the development and utilization conditions are weak. The conclusion of this article is a supplement to the geological and geomorphological system characteristics of southern karst. From the perspective of world natural heritage, the study enriches the academic evidence of red karst and enables its exemplary role to be well played. From the perspective of the tourism development value, more people should be made aware of the diverse types of karst landforms, which provide experience and suggestions for the value of landforms, tourism resources, and tourism development in similar areas. Prior to this study, no species of Pseudophanias Raffray had been reported from Nanling, a vast biodiversity conservation area that spans five provinces in southern China. In this paper, three new species of the genus are described: Pseudophanias furcilobus sp. nov. (Guizhou, Guangxi), P. leigong sp. nov. (Guizhou), and P. mulun sp. nov. (Guangxi), suggesting that additional study on the diversity of this group in the area is required. These species are characterized, keyed, and compared to similar congeners, supplemented with illustrations of the habitus and other morphological characters. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Why do provincial governments change policy, even when those policies have proven successful? This paper explores a debate regarding the determinants of provincial policy choice and the degree of discretion provinces are permitted in this area. It does so by scrutinizing the shift in Guizhou's development policy from a poverty reduction orientation to a wholehearted pursuit of economic growth, urbanization and industrialization. In contrast to those who argue that central experience, prospects for promotion or local conditions are key factors explaining policy choice, the paper concludes that Guizhou's shift in policy had more to do with the backgrounds and experiences of top provincial leaders. [Objective] The present paper aimed at determining the occurrence of chilli veinal mottle virus (ChiVMV) in tobacco in Guizhou and the genetic evolution relationship between the ChiVMV strains in Guizhou and in other provinces in China, so as to provide a basis for formulating scientific and reasonable prevention and control measures. [Method] 80 tobacco leaf samples suspected of virus infection were collected from the tobacco fields of Guiyang, Zunyi, Anshun and Tongren in Guizhou province, showing the symptoms of leaf mottling, wrinkling, necrosis and mosaic. Multiple viral primers were designed to detect the collected samples by RT-PCR method, and the detected ChiVMV was further amplified by PCR to obtain the whole genome sequence of Guizhou tobacco ChiVMV. Based on all ChiVMV genome sequences published by NCBI, sequence consistency analysis was performed and phylogenetic evolutionary tree was constructed to study the genetic evolutionary relationship of Guizhou ChiVMV tobacco isolates. [Result] The results of RT-PCR showed that the detection rate of ChiVMV was 37. 50%, the detection rate of tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) was 48. 75%, and the detection rate of potato virus Y (PVY) was 35. 00%. The detection rate of cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) was only 8. 75%. Four complex infection types TMV + PVY, PVY + ChiVMV, PVY + CMV and ChiVMV + PVY + TMV were detected, and the detection rates were 26. 25%, 6. 25%, 10. 00% and 3. 75%, respectively. Guizhou tobacco isolate ChiVMV-GZ (GenBank: OP589298) was obtained by PCR. Sequence consistency analysis showed that ChivMV-GZ was identical with tomato isolates from Sichuan (KC711055) and Sichuan tobacco isolates (MK405594) with high sequence consistency (98. 70% and 98. 50%). Phylogenetic tree was constructed and it found that ChivMV-GZ clustered with ChiVMV strains from Sichuan and Yunnan. [Conclusion] The damage of ChiVMV in Guizhou tobacco has been increasingly serious and sufficient attention should be paid. ChiVMV-GZ was isolated from Guizhou tobacco and amplified to obtain the whole genome of the virus in the study. This paper investigates the reconstruction of a county tea industry in order to help map capitalist agrarian change in contemporary China. The concentration of the tea industry in Meitan County, Guizhou, that began in the 1930s was further centralized under a state-owned farm and factory after 1949. Following the 1990s decline of the state-owned industry, the tea industry reemerged in a new form under a process of state-directed capitalist agrarian change in the early 2000s. Contemporary Meitan's almost 500 independent tea processors market their products to the changing tastes of Chinese consumers. With an increased attention to tea "quality," capitalist processors have had to take greater control over the labor process of farmers. Thus the industry has taken on a complex structure through a process of vertically integrating tea growers and processors, making use of a county tea producers association, dragonhead enterprises, specialized cooperatives, contract farming, and new property forms. In recent years, due to adverse geological conditions, intense human engineering activities, and extreme weather conditions, catastrophic landslides have frequently occurred in southwest China, causing severe loss of life and property. Identifying the kinematic features of potential landslides can effectively support landslide hazard prevention. This study proposes a remote sensing identification method for rotational, planar traction, and planar thrust slides based on geomorphic features as well as vertical and slope-oriented deformation rates. Rotational landslides are characterized by similar vertical and horizontal deformation rates, with vertical deformation mainly occurring at the head and gradually decreasing along the slope, while horizontal deformation mainly occurs at the foot and gradually increases along the slope. As for the planar slide, the dominant deformation is in the horizontal direction. It is further classified into the planar traction and planar thrust types according to the driving position. The vertical deformation of planar traction slides is concentrated at the foot, while the vertical deformation of planar thrust slides is concentrated at the head of the landslide. We identified 1 rotational landslide, 10 planar traction landslides and 10 planar thrust landslides in the basalt weathering crust area of Guizhou. Field investigations of three landslides verified the method's accuracy. Combining two-dimensional rainfall and time-series deformations, we found that there is a significant positive correlation between landslide deformation acceleration and precipitation. The landslide kinematic identification method proposed in this paper overcomes the shortcomings of the inability to accurately characterize landslide motion by line-of-sight displacement and realizes the non-contact identification of active landslide motion patterns, which is an essential reference value for geological disaster prevention and control in the study area. Paraphlomis kuankuoshuiensis (Lamiaceae), a new species found in the limestone areas of northern Guizhou, China, is described and illustrated in this paper. Based on its tubular-campanulate calyx, this taxon should be a member of sect. Paraphlomis Prain. The new species resembles P. patentisetulosa C.Y. Wu & H. W. Li, P. hispida C.Y. Wu, and P. hirsutissima C.Y. Wu & H.W. Li, but differs from these three taxa in the following aspects: the stems are very short (<7 cm), with one or two short internodes, giving the impression of having a tuft of basal leaves; it has sparsely setose hairs on the outer surface of the calyces and short fruiting calyces. The florescence, fruit period, habitat, and the geographical distribution of P. kuankuoshuiensis are also quite different from the three closely related species. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose/Background: This study investigated the impact of Miao-themed souvenir toy design on promoting tourism in Guizhou, China. The culturally diverse province has an opportunity to leverage ethnic arts for tourism growth. Authentic representation of minority groups through creative mediums can attract visitor interest. Methods: A qualitative approach was used involving semi-structured interviews with Miao artisans who design souvenirs. Detailed interviews examined artistic processes and cultural representations in toys. Interview transcripts were analyzed using coding and thematic analysis. Findings: Interviews highlighted the cultural significance of toys for promoting both Miao heritage and local tourism. Artisans play a key role in authentically conveying minority culture through creative souvenirs. Culturally symbolic elements in toys resonate with tourists seeking an immersive experience. Conclusions: Findings demonstrate souvenir toy design as an avenue for boosting tourism while preserving ethnic arts in Guizhou. However, time limitations prevented thorough investigation of tourist preferences and trends influencing market success. [ Purpose] The present paper aimed to study the physical properties, soil enzyme activities and their correlation characteristics of wild Bletilla striata soil in different producing areas in Guizhou, so as to provide a theoretical basis for realizing high yield and quality of B. striata artificial cultivation. [ Method] 8 soil sample plots for the wild B. striata were collected in Guizhou province to detect and analyze the soil physical and enzyme activity index characteristics and the correlation between them. [ Result]The soil density was between 2. 06 -2. 55 g/ cm³ with weak variation. The soil texture was mainly clay loam and sandy loam. In most soils, the proportion of the > 0. 25 mm size soil water-stable aggregates reached 70% . The distribution of the soil water-stable aggregates size fraction were different, 2 - 5 mm size fraction was the dominant size fraction in 4 soil plots, < 0. 25 mm size fraction was the dominant size fraction in 3 soil plots. The dominant size fraction of soil micro-aggregate was 0. 25 -0. 05 mm size fraction. The activities of urease, acid phosphatase and sucrase in soil were significantly different with strong variation. The activities of catalase in soil were not significantly different with weak variation. Soil enzyme activity was strongly influenced by the soil density, soil aggregates and microaggregates. There was a significant positive correlation between urease and acid phosphatase, which could promote each other. [Conclusion] Guizhou wild B. striata has strong adaptability to soil environment. It mainly grows in sandy soil or clay with soil clay content less than 25 %, and some wild B. striata can also grow in clay with soil clay content more than 30% ; Soil specific gravity, soil aggregates and micro aggregates are important factors affecting soil enzyme activity of B. striata. The suitable soil specific gravity is 2. 06 - 2. 55 g/ cm³, the dominant particle size is 2 - 5 mm or < 0. 25 mm, and loam is the best soil texture; Urease and acid phosphatase can promote each other. The Shuicheng area in Guizhou (China) contains extensive coalbed methane (CBM) resources in the Permian Longtan Formation and it has high potential for large-scale exploration and development. However, exploration and development have started in a few areas in these regions. Evaluating CBM exploration potential (EP) areas is crucial for efficient exploration. Using an artificial neural network (ANN) model, this research established a CBM EP model for evaluating prospective areas in the Dahebian, Shenxianpo, and Tudiya CBM blocks. Thirty-four coal seams exist in the research area, with coal seams 01# and 07# highly developed exclusively in Dahebian and Shenxianpo blocks, coal seams 09#, 11#, 12#, 13#, and 14# throughout the three blocks, and coal seam 25# in the southern portion of Tudiya blocks. The coal seam 11# is the thickest (0.2–11.48 m), with buried depth of 102–1522 m, and is characterized by a wide range of properties variation: low- to high-rank coal (Ro% 0.6–2.5), gas content range of 0.43–20.12 m3/t, and weak to highly deformed by a string of normal and reverse faults. Considering six key evaluation parameters (thickness, buried depth, gas content, rank, structural and roof sealing conditions), an EP model was developed, and the analytic hierarchy process membership function and pairwise comparison matrix were used to calculate the weight of each parameter. A mathematical model has determined the comprehensive CBM EP coefficient and the evaluation scores ranged 0–1; the high scores represent high CBM EP. In total, 101,965 data points of the six input neurons and one target neuron were extracted from the 3D parameter model and the result of the EP model, respectively, and were used to train the ANN model. The model performed high accuracy based on R and R2 and minimum mean square error and root mean square error. The results reflect that the model construction was 99% accurate, and the established EP model in this study was also 99% precise and adequate for evaluating the favorable areas for exploration. The results show that the EP values of > 0.8 represents medium to thick coal seam, weakly deformed medium-rank coal having high gas content and buried within 600–1200 m. The EP values of 0.65–0.8 indicate medium thick, medium to high-rank coal with weak-moderately deformed coal having a depth range of 400–1200 m. In areas with EP values of < 0.65, coal seams are thin, highly deformed, middle to high-rank coal with medium to high gas content and < 400 and > 1200 m buried depth. Two very high-potential (VHP), three high-potential, and two medium-potential areas were identified; among them, VHP-1 in the Biandanwan area had the most significant potential, which is supported by CBM development data. 【Objective】The present paper aimed to verify pathogenic bacteria of kiwifruit canker and provide effective strain resources for biological control against kiwifruit canker.【Method】The pathogenic bacteria were isolated from infected issues of kiwifruit plants infected with canker by a convention tissue isolation method. The antagonistic strains were screened from the bacteria isolated from soil and healthy kiwifruit tissues by an inhibition zone method. The isolated antagonistic strains were identified by morphology and molecular biology methods. 【Result】9 strains isolated from the infected tissues of kiwifruit plants infected with canker were identified as Pseudomonas syringae pv. Actinidae. 35 strains were isolated from soil and healthy kiwifruit tissues. 3 screened Bacillus strains had the good antagonism effect against Pseudomonas syringae pv. Actinidae and the average diameter of inhibitory zone was 20.8-23.7 mm.【Conclusion】Three screened Bacillus strains lay a foundation for development and application of biological agents against kiwifruit canker. Land use change and water supply–demand assessment are critical to achieving regional sustainable development and improving human wellbeing. In the context of complex climate change and socioeconomic development, there is an urgent need for systematic assessment and forecasting studies on how to combine physical, geographical, and socioeconomic factors to clarify patterns of change in the land use change and water supply–demand, as well as to respond appropriately to different climate and socioeconomic development scenarios in the future. Based on the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways-Representative Concentration Pathway (SSP-RCP) scenarios, a framework for simulating future land use change and assessing water supply–demand in the coupled SD-PLUS-InVEST model was constructed. The land use change in Guizhou Province from 2020 to 2050 was simulated using the SD-PLUS model, and the water supply–demand conditions were projected for 2030, 2040, and 2050 under multiple scenarios (SSP126, SSP245, and SSP585). The research results indicated that (1) The land use change in the study area has significant spatial heterogeneity. It showed similar trends in the land use change in the SSP126 and SSP245 scenarios, with both artificial surfaces and forest showing an expansion trend, but the expansion of forest was most typical in the southwestern region in the SSP126 scenario, and there is a significant increase in the northeastern region in the SSP245 scenario. Additionally, there is a rapid expansion of artificial surfaces in the central region in the SSP585 scenario, and a more rapid expansion of cultivated land in the southeastern region, with a significant increase in the area of water bodies. (2) The changes in water supply from 2020 to 2050 under the three scenarios show a smaller increase (5.22–11.88%), a significant increase in water demand (29.45–58.84%), and an increase in the area of water shortage by about 2708.94–9084.40 km2, with the extent of the shortage increasing by about 23.71–79.50%. (3) According to the results of the SSP-RCP scenario projections, socioeconomic development has a significant impact on the growth of water demand, and climate and land use change may exacerbate the spatiotemporal heterogeneity of water supply–demand in the karst region. The systematic study of land use change and water supply–demand in Guizhou can provide a scientific basis for the sustainable management of regional ecosystems and the rational allocation of land and water resources. [Objective] The present paper aimed to provide the scientific basis for rational land-use planning, soil resources conservation and pollution-free agricultural development in Luodian County, Guizhou. [Method] The effects of five typical land-use patterns (forestland, natural grassland, artificial grassland, cropland and abandoned farmland) on content and environment contamination of Cd, Cr, Pb, Ni, Hg and As in topsoil were evaluated by Nemerow comprehensive index, single-factor contamination index and Hakanson potential ecological hazard methods. [Result] The content of 6 heavy metals in topsoil was Cr > Pb > Ni > As > Cd > Hg and lower than the contamination background value of heavy metals in Guizhou overall. The topsoil Cd content was the highest in abandoned farmland and lowest in forestland. The topsoil Cr content was the highest in abandoned farmland and lowest in natural grassland. The topsoil Pb and Hg content was the highest in cropland and lowest in forestland. The topsoil Ni content was the highest in artificial grassland and lowest in natural grassland. The topsoil As content was the highest in natural grassland and lowest in cropland. The topsoil Cd, C.r, Pb and Hg content was high relatively and greatly influenced by human activity. Topsoil Cr had the same source as Ni, Hg and As. The topsoil As content was closely related to soil pH. The topsoil Cd and Cr content was closely related to soil cation exchange capacity (CEC) . The topsoil Pb, Hg and As content was closely related to soil organic matter (SOM). [Conclusion] Six heavy metals in topsoil do not cause soil contamination. The single-factor contamination index and potential ecological hazard index both are at the clean level. [Objective] This paper aims to provide theoretical and technical support for the efficient pesticide application of spring potato in high altitude areas of Guizhou. [Method] A field experiment was conducted on Weiyu 5, to explore the effects of different pesticide application dosage on disease index and biological effect of spring potato in Guizhou. [Result] After spraying the potato seedling rate were 89. 63% — 93. 37%, the disease index were 2.71% — 6. 17%. Compared with CK, the yield, number of single tuber and the yield of single plant increased by 1.55% —22.97%,2. 50% —30.00%,and 12.29% —42.68%,respectively. The best performance was obtained with 80% of the customary spraying dose. Pesticide spraying can significantly improve reducing sugar and starch content of potato, increase the reducing sugar content by 0. 01 —0. 14 percentage and starch content by 0.76 —7.43 percentage compared with CK. But the nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and moisture content were not obviously affected. In terms of soil nutrient changes, the contents of soil organic matter, available potassium, available phosphorus, and alkalize nitrogen were increased by 6. 96% — 15. 47%, 1 . 75 — 36. 84%, 3. 57% —56. 09% and 10. 00% —14.99% respectively compared with CK. The area of karst terrain in China covers 3.63×106 km2, with more than 40% in the southwestern region over the Guizhou Plateau. Karst comprises exposed carbonate bedrock over approximately 1.30×106 km2 of this area, which suffers from soil degradation and poor crop yield. This paper aims to gain a better understanding of the environmental controls on crop yield in order to enable more sustainable use of natural resources for food production and development. More precisely, four kinds of artificial neural network were used to analyse and simulate the spatial patterns of crop yield for seven crop species grown in Guizhou Province, exploring the relationships with meteorological, soil, irrigation and fertilization factors. The results of spatial classification showed that most regions of high-level crop yield per area and total crop yield are located in the central-north area of Guizhou. Moreover, the three artificial neural networks used to simulate the spatial patterns of crop yield all demonstrated a good correlation coefficient between simulated and true yield. However, the Back Propagation network had the best performance based on both accuracy and runtime. Among the 13 influencing factors investigated, temperature (16.4%), radiation (15.3%), soil moisture (13.5%), fertilization of N (13.5%) and P (12.4%) had the largest contribution to crop yield spatial distribution. These results suggest that neural networks have potential application in identifying environmental controls on crop yield and in modelling spatial patterns of crop yield, which could enable local stakeholders to realize sustainable development and crop production goals. A c. 0.30 m thick cherty limestone bed in the Dalong Formation at Gujiao (Guizhou) has yielded a highly diverse Changhsingian nautiloid assemblage. Its age is late Changhsingian, indicated by the co‐occurring ammonoid Pseudotirolites sp. This assemblage is composed of nine species and five taxa in open nomenclature in nine genera, including one new genus and three new species: Neotainoceras zhaoi sp. nov., Nodopleuroceras gujiaoense sp. nov. and Gujiaonautilus longliensis gen. et sp. nov. Sholakoceras is for the first time recorded in South China. Compared with literature data from 52 sites in various regions worldwide, the material described here presents the most diverse Changhsingian nautiloid assemblage. Among the genera of the Gujiao assemblage, Pleuronautilus, Tainoceras and Liroceras are cosmopolitan, while the others are more endemic or genera known so far only from South China. [Objective] The objective of the paper is to explore a rapid and accurate method for diagnosing the biochemical components of Guizhou premium fruit plant. [ Method] Taking hyperspectral data of Passiflora edulis leaves and its corresponding leaf chlorophyll content as the data source, mathematical transform and discrete wavelet transform algorithm were used to process and analyze the spectrum data of P.edulis leaves, the sensitive bands were extracted by correlation analysis, and then the estimating model of chlorophyll content in P.edulis leaves was established by using partial least square algorithm. [ Result] The low frequency information of logarithmic transform separated from discrete wavelet transform and mathematical transform could significantly improve the estimation of spectrum to chlorophyll content in P. edulis leaves. The model established based on discrete wavelet transform L1 scale was optimum, which had high estimated accuracy and stability with R² = 0. 578 and RMSE = 1. 104. [Conclusion] As affected by complex geographical environment and climate condition, the spectrum data of P. edulis leaves contains a large amount of noise. The high frequency information extracted by mathematical transform and discrete wavelet transform has weak abilitying estimating chlorophyll content in P. edulis leaves. 【Objective】The objective of this paper was to understand the content and enrichment characteristics of trace elements in soil and plant(root) of wild Berberis in Guizhou Province and to provide the theoretical reference for cultivation of wild Berberis. 【Method】The contents of trace elements in soil and plant(root) were determined, and the correlation of trace elements between soil and plant(root) and the enrichment ability of plant(root) to trace elements were discussed. 【Result】Total amount of soil trace elements of Berberis guizhouensis Ying, B. pruinosa var. barresiana Ahrendt, B. weiningensis Ying, B. tsienii Ying and B. deinacantha Schneid. was Fe > Mn > Zn > Cu > Mo; B. veitchii Schneid., B. wilsonae var. guhtzunica(Ahrendt) Ahrendt, B.pingbaensis M.T.An was Fe>Mn>Cu>Zn>Mo. The highest content of the soil total amount of Cu was B. veitchii, the total amount of Fe was B. tsienii, the total amount of Mn was B. weiningensis, the total amount of Mo was B. deinacantha, the total amount of Zn was B. weiningensis. The highest content of the soil available amount of Cu was B. guizhouensis, the available amount of Fe was B. veitchii, the available amount of Mn and Mo was B. weiningensis, the available amount of Zn was B.wilsonae var.guhtzunica.The highest content of Cu and Mn in the roots of was B.wilsonae var.guhtzunica., Fe was B. deinacantha, Mo was B. deinacantha, Zn was B. tsienii. 【Conclusion】The trace elements between soil and plant(root) were correlated to some extent. The enrichment coefficient of Cu of B. guizhouensis was the highest and was greater than 1, and the other trace elements enrichment coefficient was less than 1.The content of the available trace elements in the soil of non-area of Berberis in Guizhou Province was more obvious than that of the whole area. [Objective] The objective of the paper is to provide the scientific basis for rational fertilization in Jianhe County of Guizhou Province and similar areas. [Method] The effects of soil nutrient indexes(total N .organic matter, available N .available K, available P, total P and total K)on soil fertility are explored by using variation coefficient method, correlation coefficient method and weighted mean method, and then the soil fertility in paddy field and dry' land is evaluated by using improved Nemerow comprehensive evaluation method combined with the weight coefficient mean value of the three methods. [Result] The soil available k in paddy field and total P in dry land were at a lower level, while other nutrient indexes were at a medium-high, high and higher level. The soil available N content in six dry' land sampling sites with different plants was high. Soil total P and available k fluctuate greatly among sampling sites, while organic matter content fluctuates less. The soil available P in fertility factor weighted coefficient of paddy field and dry land was the highest, respectively 0. 2710 and 0. 2358 comparing the mean value of the three weighted method weighted coefficient. The available P is the main factor influencing soil fertility in paddy field and dry' land and soil fertility indexes is 1.52 and 1.63 separately. The soil comprehensive fertility was at a fertile level. [Conclusion] The soil fertility of paddy field and dry land in Jianhe County is at a fertile level, and available P is the main factor influencing soil fertility in paddy field and dry land. The soil N content in paddy field and dry land is high, which can meet the demand of crop production. Therefore, N fertilization should be reduced in production. [Objective]The aim of this paper was to provide a reference for edible rose cultivation and industrial development in Guizhou, and to know the adaptation of the four edible roses, Rosa glauea(RG), Rosa damascene(RD), Pingyin rose(RP) and White rose(RW), to the climatic environment in Guiyang, Guizhou, through the quality analysis of color of flowers, shape of petals, weight of flowers, characteristic of leaves, and composition of essential oils. [Method]Biological traits were obtained by field invesligation and statistics;the essential oils were extracted with steam distillation, and analyzed by GC-MS. [Result] 39 aroma components were observed in RG, RD, RP and RW19, 22, 10, and 26 kinds of components were respectively detected from RG, RD, RP, and RW, accounting for 99. 48 %, 98. 00 %, 94. 00 %, and 100. 00 % in total aroma components. Flavoring composition in RG were citronellol and geraniol(51. 44 % and 20. 47 %), and that in RD were geraniol and nerol(32. 72 % and 22. 71 %), in RP were citronellal and geraniol(55. 87 % and 24. 59 %), and in RW were also citronellal and geraniol(28. 21 % and 30. 38 %). Essential oils component in RD and RW were the closest to ISO 9842:2003. Linalool, terpineol, geraniol, acacia alcohol and n-heptadecane were observed in volatile oils of RG, RD, RP, and RW, accounting for respectively 24. 78 %, 46. 28 %, 30. 83 %, and 37. 54%. Piroplasmosis is a zoonotic disease mainly caused by the Babesia and Theileria parasites. Piroplasmosis is often a subclinical infection in dogs and cats that is difficult to detect and is often suspected when clinical signs such as anemia are present. It has been reported to be prevalent in China. However, molecular evidence of the disease has not been reported in pet dogs and cats in Guiyang. In this study, we collected 307 anticoagulated blood samples from an animal hospital in the Wudang District of Guiyang during the period March 2021 to November 2021 and extracted DNA from the samples. The 18S rDNA gene was amplified using PCR, and the positive amplification product was sequenced. The sequences were then analyzed for homology and phylogeny. Of the 307 samples collected, 164 were feline and 143 were canine, with a total of 23 amplifying a target band of approximately 400 bp. The percentage of positives of piroplasms infection in pet cats was 4.27% (7/164), with the pathogens being T. uilenbergi (3) and T. luwenshuni (4). One Colpodella sp. and two undetermined species were also detected in the cat samples. The percentage of positives of piroplasms infection in pet dogs was 7.69% (11/143), with the pathogen being T. uilenbergi (11). One Colpodella sp. was also detected in the dog samples. The results confirmed that T. uilenbergi and T. luwenshuni are prevalent in pet cats and dogs in this area. In addition, the study found a rare zoonotic pathogen, Colpodella sp., in cats and dogs. With the large-scale implementation of China's ex situ poverty alleviation relocation (ESPAR) policy, China's poverty-alleviation migrants (PAMs) have increased significantly in a short period of time. The majority of the literature has indicated that the changes associated with resettlement in, for example, livelihood, living environment, and living standards have improved the lives of the PAMs. However, a few researchers have studied PAMs' subjective well-being (SWB) after relocation. Taking the PAMs in Anshun City, Guizhou Province of China as an example, this work used interviews and questionnaire surveys to investigate the well-being of PAMs under three resettlement models––resettlement in nearby villages and townships, resettlement in county seats, and resettlement in cities. Through a multiple linear regression model, we analyzed the SWB level and influencing factors of PAMs, and the differences in SWB under different resettlement models. The results show that: (1) the overall SWB level of PAMs is relatively high; (2) living conditions and public services, livelihoods and housing, lifestyle, and social networks all have significant impacts on the SWB of PAMs; and (3) the SWB levels of the migrants resettled in county seats is the highest, followed by resettlement in cities, and resettlement in nearby villages and townships. We also put forward relevant guiding suggestions, hoping to provide references for the sustainable development of future ESPAR projects. The evolution of the global sulfur isotope curve was plotted based on the δ 34S values of evaporates resultant from oceanic evaporation. In the long period of geological history the δ 34S values showed obvious peaks for three times during the process of ancient oceans’ sulfur isotope evolution, namely the Early Cambrian (+30‰), the Late Devonian (+25‰) and the Permian-Triassic transition interval (+17‰), but the causes of the abnormal rise of sulfur isotopic values during the geological period are still in question. In this paper, 18 samples collected from a large Devonian barite deposit from Zhenning County were analyzed to determine their δ 34S values, revealing that the 18 samples have very high δ 34S values (δ 34S=41.88‰–+68.39‰), with an average close to 56.30‰, which are higher than the isotopic values of contemporary sulfates (+17‰–+25‰). A comparative analysis was conducted of the emerging of high δ 34S barite deposits (from Cambrian and Devonian) and the δ 34S variation curves of the ancient oceans. The results indicate that the time when the obvious peaks of δ 34S values appeared and the time of massive sedimentation of high δ 34S barite deposits are very close to each other, which, in our opinion, is not a coincidence. There may exist some correlations between the sulfur isotope evolution of ancient oceans during the diverse periods of geological history and the massive sedimentation of high δ 34S barite deposits. Therefore, it is inferred that perhaps it was the massive sedimentation of high δ 34S barites that caused the sharp rise of δ 34S values in a short period of time. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With the continuous development of gold ore prospecting and exploration in recent years a new type of micro-disseminated gold deposits have been found in the regions of Southwest Guizhou Province and Northwest Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with the orebodies directly occurring in diabase or in the contact zone between diabase and strata. The orebodies are strictly controlled by fault structures. The discovery of this type of gold deposits has brought about new prospects for gold ore prospecting in the Yunnan-Guizhou-Guangxi Golden Triangle region. From the preliminary analysis of the geological characteristics of the Qiaoxiang gold deposit in Wangmo County, in combination with the results of research work in the adjacent areas in recent years, this paper roughly described the geological characteristics and metallogenic conditions of this type of gold ore deposits with an attempt to make more and more geologists pay enough attention to this type of gold ore deposits, so as to promote gold ore prospecting in Guizhou Province to develop toward a variety of types of gold deposits in all round way. [Objective] The present paper aimed to understand chemical properties and available microelement characteristics of soil for growth of wild Bletilla striaes, explicit suitable soil environment of Bletilla.striaes cultivation and provide a reference for soil environment selection of Bletilla.striaes artificial cultivation. [Method] The microelement effective state and chemical properties of soil for growth of wild Bletilla.striata were investigated by field survey and the sufficient and lack level was analyzed by indoor analysis to discuss restriction factors affecting soil available microelement content. [Result] The pH and content of organic matter, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, total potassium, available nitrogen, available phosphorus, rapid available potassium, available Cu, available Zn, available Fe and available Mn in soil of Bletilla.striata cultivation are 7.65-7.99, 26.86-280.58 g/kg, 1.55-14.44 g/kg, 0.47-0.99 g/kg, 1.89-19.52 g/kg, 99-641 mg/kg, 2.40-18.75 mg/kg, 70-122 mg/kg, 0.45-1.70 mg/kg, 0.83-14.66 mg/kg, 11.80-119.85 mg/kg and 24.88-52.55 mg/kg respectively. [Conclusion] The suitable soil environment for Bletilla.striats growth is alkalescence and needs higher content of organic matter, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, available nitrogen, available phosphorus and rapid available potassium. The soil organic matter, N, P and K content has no obvious effect on Cu and Mn content in soil. The content of organic matter, total nitrogen, available nitrogen and available phosphorus in soil is positively related to Zn and Fe content very significantly.Selecting the soil with higher content of organic matter, total nitrogen, available nitrogen and available phosphorus can improve available Zn and Fe content in soil during Bletilla.striata artificial cultivation process, which is beneficial to growth and quality of Bletilla striata. [Objective]The aim of this paper was to explore the distribution characteristics of soil nutrients in different recovery modes of rocky desertification control, and to provide scientific basis for further optimizing the vegetation allocation of rocky desertification control. [Method] Taking soil from five sampling sites as the study object, including Zanthoxylum bungeanum, Lonicera japonica, mixed forests, cardamom and abandoned farmland in Huajiang Rocky Desertification Control Demonstration Area in Guizhou. Soil layers of 0 - 10, 10 -20 and 20 -30 cm were sampled and monitored for 3 years before, during and after rainy season, and the distribution characteristics of soil nutrients under different recovery modes were analyzed. [Result] With the restoration of vegetation, compared with abandoned farmland, average values of soil bulk density, soil retention ability and capillary porosity in the four plots decreased respectively by 0.61 %, 7.97 % and 1.12 % , soil organic carbon, total nitrogen, total phosphorus and total potassium increased by 53.45 %, 45.72 %, 80.81 % and 1.44 % respectively, hydrolyzed nitrogen and available phosphorus increased by 53.36 % and 25.80 % , respectively. In the same plot, the contents of soil organic matter and soil nutrient contents were all shown as during rainy season > after rainy season > before rainy season. With the increase of depth of the soil layer, content of soil nutrients of different recovery models decreased, nutrients mainly concentrated in the surface layer. [Conclusion] There were differences in nutrient contents between different restoration models, and vegetation restoration in karst rocky desertification area had an ameliorative effect on ecological environment. The cultivation of the economic crop flue-cured tobacco is greatly impacted by natural climates, making it a risk industry. In recent years, flue-cured tobacco production is influenced by extreme weather such as typhoon, low temperature, hail, frost, drought, plant diseases and insect pests. It is imperative to establish a sound insurance system for tobacco planting. In this paper, the practice and functions of tobacco planting insurance in Qianxinan Prefecture were summarized, the experience and existing problems in the practice process were analyzed, and finally the countermeasures and suggestions were proposed to further improve the tobacco planting insurance. This article explores the chili pepper industry in Guizhou and how it intersects with a push toward high-tech, digital agriculture schemes as part of Guizhou's economic development driven by a data economy. State bureaus, tech companies, and research institutes around rural development cast digital, data-driven agriculture as a broadly positive development that will provide environmental sustainability and economic benefits to small farmers. In examining Guizhou's Chili Pepper City, I argue that such initiatives maintain state power through accelerating complexity and implementation of universalizing technologies. In the context of Guizhou, these universalizing technologies are intertwined with a legacy of China's own settler dynamics, the political uses of poverty alleviation and environmentalism to control land, and socialist legacies of using agricultural modernization toward nationalist ends. Globally, the loss of forest vegetation is a significant concern due to the crucial roles that forests play in the Earth's system, including the provision of ecosystem services, participation in biogeochemical cycles, and support for human well-being. Forests are especially critical in mountains environments, where deforestation can lead to accelerated biodiversity loss, soil erosion, flooding, and reduced agricultural productivity, as well as increased poverty rates. In response to these problems, China has implemented a series of ecological restoration programs aimed at restoring forests. However, there is a lack of knowledge as to whether the forest cover is increasing or decreasing, as well as the relative roles played by natural and human factors in forest change. Here, we aim to address these issues by analyzing the pattern and process of the forest changes in Guizhou province, a typical mountainous karst area with a fragile environment in southwestern China, between 1980 and 2018, and evaluating the extent to which these forest changes were influenced by natural and anthropogenic driving forces. Using a temporal sequence of satellite images and a Markov model, we found that the forest cover increased by 468 km2, and that over 33% of the cropland in Guizhou province was converted into forest between 1980 and 2018, with the most significant increases in the forest cover occurring in Qiandongnan. Through correlation analyses and generalized linear model (GLM) regression, we demonstrate that management factors exerted a more significant positive impact on the forest cover than climate change. While the mean annual precipitation and temperature were mostly stable during the period studied, the effects of population and gross domestic product (GDP) on the forest changes weakened, and the influence of land-use change markedly increased. A late Kasimovian (Pennsylvanian) coral reef is reported in the Yanbanzhai (YBZ) area, southern Guizhou Province, South China. The YBZ coral reef, with a thickness of approximately 5.5 m and a lateral exposure of nearly 50 m, is primarily composed of the colonial rugose coral Fomichevella. The fusulinids collected from the reef indicates a late Kasimovian age. Five microfacies types have been identified, including coated bioclastic grainstone, coral (Fomichevella) framestone, bioclastic wackestone, bioclastic grainstone, and peloidal grainstone. The vertical evolution of the microfacies in the YBZ coral reef indicates major sedimentary environmental changes associated with relative sea‐level changes. The growth of the reef‐builder Fomichevella was controlled by the transgression and regression. Deep water promoted the upward expansion of Fomichevella, while shallow water inhibited its growth. Published records of atmospheric pCO2 estimation and sea‐surface temperatures, combined with geochemical proxies, confirm a warm climatic period during the late Kasimovian. This is an interglacial period conducive to the growth of the coral reef. Sea‐level and climate changes associated with the Late Palaeozoic ice age (LPIA) are interpreted as significant controls of the development of the YBZ coral reef. This research of the YBZ coral reef in South China provides practical palaeobiological evidence for global sea‐level rising during the late Kasimovian period caused by the high‐latitude Gondwana delaciation. As a province inhabited by ethnic minorities in southwest China, Guizhou is rich in tourism and ICH (intangible cultural heritage) resources. The spatial distribution of ICH and the utilization of tourism and ICH resources in Guizhou worth studying, which is better for understanding the tourism competition situation and the tourism utilization of ICH. This research uses GIS tools for spatial analysis, mathematical formulas for calculating the abundance of ICH and tourism resources, as well as the matrix analysis for ICH and tourism competition, to identify the spatial distribution and tourism competition situation of ICH in Guizhou Province in 2019. The results show that: (1) in terms of the structural characteristics of the number and types of ICH in Guizhou Province, folk custom, traditional craftsmanship and traditional music have the highest number and proportion, while Quyi has the lowest. (2) Grade A scenic spots are mainly located in Zunyi City, while ICH scenic spots are mainly in Southeast Guizhou, Zunyi City, South Guizhou and Southwest Guizhou. Zunyi City ranks first in the abundance of tourism resources, and Liupanshui City ranks last. Southeast Guizhou has the highest ICH resources abundance, while Liupanshui City has the lowest. (3) Both the distribution of national-level and provincial-level ICH in Guizhou are aggregated. The national-level ICH are clustered in a large core area in geographical space, which is located in the southeast of Guizhou. The provincial-level ICH sites form a belt extending from southwest to southeast of the province, which is distributed at the junction of southeast of Guizhou, Guiyang and Anshun. (4) The provincial-level ICH in Guizhou has formed a belt-like high-density zone extending from southwest to southeast and three high-density core areas. (5) Through the analysis of a tourism competition matrix, we found that there are three types of development in nine cities in Guizhou Province. Zunyi City and Southeast Guizhou show the development characteristics of "tourism prosperity-ICH tourism prosperity". Guiyang, Bijie, Anshun, Southwest Guizhou, Liupanshui and Tongren City show the development characteristics of "tourism depression-ICH tourism depression". South Guizhou shows "tourism depression-ICH tourism prosperity". These findings and methods will help cities determine their own strengths and weaknesses according to their resources, and narrow the regional development gap through formulating cultural and tourism development plans. Ecological environmental security in karst areas is an issue of global concern. Identifying the ecological landscape security pattern (ELSP) is key to promoting environmental protection and alleviating the land development and utilization impacts. Ecological sources (ESs) and ecological corridors (ECs) are important bases for constructing an ELSP. We used five influencing factors (land use type, digital elevation model (DEM), rocky desertification degree, normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and slope) to obtain the distribution of the importance and sensitivity values of ecosystem services in Guanling County, Guizhou Province. The probability of the connectivity index (PC) was calculated, and the ES was extracted by combining the importance of ecosystem services, ecological sensitivity, and landscape connectivity. According to the topographic and geomorphological characteristics of Guanling County, seven indicators of elevation, slope, landscape type, degree of stone desertification, distance from rivers, distance from settlements, and distance from roads were selected as resistance factors for the outward expansion of the ESs to calculate the comprehensive resistance surface of Guanling County. Based on the gravity model, an interaction matrix between 10 ESs was constructed, and the magnitude of the interaction forces between the source sites was quantitatively evaluated to distinguish the important ECs and general ECs. The study showed that the total length of the ECs in Guanling County was 509.78 km, and the core area of Guanling County was large, accounting for 65.73% of the ecological landscape area. By assessing the importance of ecosystem services, ecological sensitivity, and landscape connectivity, 10 ES and 45 EC were obtained based on ArcGIS10.8, which constituted the landscape security pattern of Guanling County by ESs and ECs. Suggestions were proposed for a planning layout that will benefit the ecological restoration of Guanling County and environmental protection of the karst region according to the study area characteristics. Primula chishuiensis C.M. Hu, G. Hao & Y. Xu sp. nov. (Primulaceae) is described and illustrated from Guizhou, China. It is morphologically belonging to P. sect. Monocarpicae and allied to P. centellifolia and P. scopulicola, but can be distinguished by its homostylous flowers and broadly campanulate calyx which split to 3/4 of its length, and the broadly lanceolate lobes. Background: Strong laboratory capacity is essential for detecting and responding to emerging and re-emerging global health threats. We conducted a quantitative laboratory assessment during 2014-2015 in two resource-limited provinces in southern China, Guangxi and Guizhou in order to guide strategies for strengthening core capacities as required by the International Health Regulations (IHR 2005).Methods: We selected 28 public health and clinical laboratories from the provincial, prefecture and county levels through a quasi-random sampling approach. The 11-module World Health Organization (WHO) laboratory assessment tool was adapted to the local context in China. At each laboratory, modules were scored 0-100% through a combination of paper surveys, in-person interviews, and visual inspections. We defined module scores as strong (> = 85%), good (70-84%), weak (50-69%), and very weak (< 50%). We estimated overall capacity and compared module scores across the provincial, prefecture, and county levels.Results: Overall, laboratories in both provinces received strong or good scores for 10 of the 11 modules. These findings were primarily driven by strong and good scores from the two provincial level laboratories; prefecture and county laboratories were strong or good for only 8 and 6 modules, respectively. County laboratories received weak scores in 4 modules. The module, 'Public Health Functions' (e.g., surveillance and reporting practices) lagged far behind all other modules (mean score = 46%) across all three administrative levels. Findings across the two provinces were similar.Conclusions: Laboratories in Guangxi and Guizhou are generally performing well in laboratory capacity as required by IHR. However, we recommend targeted interventions particularly for county-level laboratories, where we identified a number of gaps. Given the importance of surveillance and reporting, addressing gaps in public health functions is likely to have the greatest positive impact for IHR requirements. The quantitative WHO laboratory assessment tool was useful in identifying both comparative strengths and weaknesses. Ten new karst cave-dwelling rhaphidophorids species of the subgenus Gymnaeta of the genus Tachycines are described from Guizhou Province, southern China; i.e., Tachycines (Gymnaeta) zhongi sp. nov., Tachycines (Gymnaeta) jinniui sp. nov., Tachycines (Gymnaeta) shibenzhangi sp. nov., Tachycines (Gymnaeta) lahaidensis sp. nov., Tachycines (Gymnaeta) pinglangus sp. nov., Tachycines (Gymnaeta) shanduensis sp. nov., Tachycines (Gymnaeta) buyii sp. nov., Tachycines (Gymnaeta) portae sp. nov., Tachycines (Gymnaeta) ziyunensis sp.nov., and Tachycines (Gymnaeta) jialiangensis sp. nov. Stromatoporoids are the major constructors of a Givetian (Middle Devonian) fossil reef in shallow marine facies, in the Jiwozhai Member of the Dushan Formation, at Dahekou, near Dushan, Guizhou Province, South China. Stromatoporoids, together with other reef building and dwelling components (rugose corals, tabulates, chaetetids and others), form a high diversity community, making the Jiwozhai reef a palaeobiodiversity hotspot. In this study 11 species belonging to nine genera and four orders are identified, including Gerronostromaria grossum (Clathrodictyida), Pseudotrupetostroma porosum, and Salairella buecheliensis (Stromatoporida), Clathrocoilona spissa, Stictostroma saginatum, and Synthetostroma actinostromoides (Stromatoporellida) and ?Habrostroma laminosum, Parallelopora sp., Stachyodes costulata, Stachyodes fasciculata and Stachyodes sp. (Syringostromatida). Among them, Clathrocoilona spissa and Gerronostromaria grossum are the most abundant stromatoporoid taxa. Stromatoporoid growth form, size, substrate and growth interruption are considered to be key autecological parameters to evaluate their growth behaviour and contribution in reef formation. Skeletons of laminar Clathrocoilona spissa are commonly smaller (up to 40 mm in basal dimension and less than 2 mm in thickness) than other stromatoporoid taxa and frequently encrusted on other organisms. In contrast, Gerronostromaria grossum dominates the assemblage, with its larger laminar growth form (up to 500 mm in basal dimension and 40 mm in thickness) expanding both on bioclastic and clay-rich micritic substrate and shows repeated growth interruptions, altogether evidence that this taxon was resilient to environmental pressure and may have pioneered the reef development. The variation of growth preference among stromatoporoid taxa therefore indicates a different growth strategy of each stromatoporoid in this reef environment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: Fengshui forests, very popular among the ethnic minorities in the rural areas in Guizhou Province of China, have spiritual symbolic meanings and are strictly managed. This paper examines the nature, history, local perceptions and management of fengshui forests in two Buyi villages in the Guizhou Province. With their long history, the fengshui forests are perceived to provide good wishes, security, unity, fortune, wealth and health to the local communities. Fengshui forests act as a form of “community based nature reserve” which maintains the health of natural forests, especially hydrological features and prevention of soil erosion. Cunguimingyue (Folk Regulation and Customs) is the primary local normative mechanism that maintains the fengshui forests in a good condition. The lessons learnt from local fengshui forest management needs to be incorporated in for contemporary China''s forest policy formulation as these forests play an important role in rural livelihoods. Two new genera and three new species of cave-adapted ground beetles belonging to the tribe Trechini are established and described: Wulongius qilinger gen. nov. and sp. nov. from limestone cave Qiankou Dong (Chongqing: Wulong), Qianotrechus congcongae sp. nov. from cave Shigao Dong (Chongqing: Nanchuan), and Qianlongius zhoui gen. nov. and sp. nov. from cave Qianlong Dong (Guizhou: Songtao). Wulongius qilinger sp. nov. is a small aphaenopsian beetle with a thin and elongated body, while Qianlongius zhoui sp. nov. is a semi-aphaenopsian with a stout body. Aim to classify typical hot springs in Guizhou, China and their relevance to health. Assessing geochemical characters of typical hot springs of Guizhou and classifying through hierarchical cluster analysis, an epidemiologic study was conducted to analyze the correlation between hot spring types and health, which showed typical hot springs in Guizhou can be divided into two types, A and B. Type A is rich in fluorine, metasilicic acid, radon components and a large number of essential elements, such as Na, that the human body needs, with trace elements, such as Cr and V, that are essential or possibly essential. Type B is rich in fluorine, metasilicate, strontium components and a large number of essential elements, Ca, Mg, and S, with trace elements, Cu, Mn, Mo, Co, and Ni, that are essential or possibly essential. These hot springs' effects on the health of those bathing in them showed both types were associated with bone and joint diseases. Having bathed in hot springs during the past year was associated with skin symptoms and bone and joint symptoms, and having bathed within the past two weeks was linked to sleep quality and levels of appetite and energy. However, differences do exist between the correlation between the two types and some chronic diseases, with Type A hot springs significantly related to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and diabetes and Type B to hypertension. A new species of the Rhododendron (Ericaceae) in subgen. Tsutsusi sect. Tsutsusi from Puding county of Guizhou, China, is described and illustrated. The new species, R. pudingense X.Y. Dai, C.H. Yang & Y.P. Ma, is similar to R. myrsinifolium Ching ex Fang et M. Y. He and R. minutiflorum Hu, but it can be easily distinguished by its length and being pubescent on inner surface of corolla tube, sparse hairs below the middle of filament and the glabrous style. Evaluation of tourism resources can help the government adjust policies and foster the development of tourism. As one of the ethnic areas, Guizhou has abundant tourism resources. In this study, five tourism resources in Guizhou, a minority area, including Huangguoshu Falls, Qianhu Hmong Village, Qingyan Ancient Town, Hailongtun Tusi Town and One Hundred Miles Azalea Park, were evaluated by using grey relational analysis theory (GRA). Through the establishment of the evaluation system, the appropriate evaluation indexes were selected and evaluated by the expert group to obtain index weight and specific index value. After dimensionless processing of the data, the relevancy coefficient and relevancy degree were calculated by grey relational analysis. It was found that the relevancy degree of the five tourism resources were 0.6907, 0.6329, 0.6421, 0.6129 and 0.6785 respectively, which indicated that the values of Huangguoshu Falls and One Hundred Miles Azalea Park were high and tourism value of Hailong Tusi Town was relatively low, and the results obtained were consistent with the actual situation. Of the 280 species of Elatostema documented in China, 189 are known only from a single collection. Elatostema setulosum is one such species, having been known only from the type collection for nearly half a century, until recent field investigations in Guangxi. Due to its morphological similarity to E. huanjiangense and E. tetracephalum, we undertook a critical review of all three species using morphological and molecular evidence. Our results suggest that all three names refer to the same species, which based on priority should be known as Elatostema setulosum. We recognize E. huanjiangense and E. tetracephalum as synonyms. A distribution map of E. setulosum and the extinction risk according to the IUCN criteria is provided. After recircumscription, the taxon must be considered as Least Concern (LC).
