- Abstract
In order to explore the coupling degree and interactive stress between ecological environment and economic development of the Yellow River basin and provide reference for the ecological protection and high-quality development decision-making of the basin, This paper analyzed the relationship between the ecological environment and economic development of nine provinces (regions) in the basin from 2007 to 2017 by using coupling coordination and interactive stress model. The results show that in terms of time series, the coupling coordination between the ecological environment and economic development of the Yellow River basin is in a serious maladjustment state in the early stage, and in a good coordination state in the late stage, and it is more and more coordinated in the whole researched period; in terms of spatial pattern, the coordination degree between the ecological environment and economic development of the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River is higher than that of the lower reaches of the Yellow River in the early stage, and the coordination degree of the upper and lower reaches of the Yellow River is higher than that of the middle reaches of the Yellow River, the relationship between ecological environment and economic development in the middle reaches of the Yellow River needs further adjustment; through the verification of the stress relationship, there is a certain interactive stress relationship between ecological environment and economic development in the Yellow River basin. In the early stage of the study period, the comprehensive index of ecological environment is larger than that of economic development, in the later stage, the comprehensive index of economic development is larger than that of ecological environment and the improvement of ecological environment has a certain lag.
