DELINQUENT behavior , *EXPLORATORY factor analysis , *STRUCTURAL equation modeling , *CONFIRMATORY factor analysis , *MORAL disengagement , *MACHIAVELLIANISM (Psychology) - Abstract
Within the context of a recent research tradition, certain psychological traits related to various socially reprehensible behaviors have been grouped under the name of "Dark Factor or dark side of personality." In this context, this paper studies the common variance that could exist between the three components of the Dark Triad construct (Machiavellianism, Narcissism and Psychopathy) and the constituent cognitive processes of Moral Disengagement construct, in order to relate them to the antisocial behavior of a sample composed of 800 adolescents (M = 15.36, SD = .99; 50.1 % boys). Exploratory factor analysis suggested retaining four factors using Horn Parallel Analysis. These factors were subjected to a bifactorial rotation in the exploratory context, and their fit indices were adequate ² (1219.42, 737) = 1.65 p <.05; RMSEA = .03 [.01, .05]; CFI = .98. The confirmatory factor analysis of this bifactorial model to represent the dark side obtained optimal fit indices ² (392.38, 150) = 2.61 p <.05; RMSEA = .04 [.04, .05]; CFI = .95; similar for boys and girls. The results of the structural equation model indicated that the "dark side", understood here as the common characteristics of the Dark Triad and Moral Disengagement, is directly and intensely related to antisocial behaviors in girls ( = .57, p < .001) and boys ( = .54, p < .001). Finally, the implications of these results for the prevention of a wide range of antisocial behaviors in adolescents are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

ANTISOCIAL personality disorders , *HUMAN behavior , *TEENAGERS , *PSYCHOLOGY , *REGRESSION analysis - Abstract
The aim of this paper is to analyze the influence and differential weight of some specific psychological variables on adolescent antisocial behavior. A sample of 1,851 adolescents (49.92 % men and 50.08 % women) from the Autonomous Community of Madrid was assessed. Several stepwise regression analyses were conducted, considering three different age groups (14-15, 16 and 17-18 years), with the criterion variables and the results showed that the main psychological risk factors associated with antisocial behavior were variables linked to sensation seeking construct (impulsiveness, disinhibition, excitement seeking, etc.), while the protective factors identified were variables such as empathy and religious practices. The age groups were considered, keeping a design of optimum prevention programs with psychological character in mind. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Codi: CS1044. Psychopathy remains one of the most serious threats to the society by the devastating consequences associated with the disorder personality disorders. Despite controversies in the clinical context, this concept has been of great interest in the field of criminal and forensic psychopathology due to the transgressive behavior of these individuals in relation to social and legal norms. Similarly, the relationship between this disorder and criminality, degree of accountability applied, the imposition of penalties, and alternative therapeutic treatment. In this paper, the empirical evidence of the clear relationship between frontal lobe damage and crime are studied, in particular the absence of emotionality in psychopaths. Hypothesis about the inability to experience empathy in psychopaths is also reviewed, because is one of the main inhibitors of violence and antisocial behavior. Finally, we have made reference to the criminality of psychopaths, the common criminals and mass murderers, taking into account the role of psychopathy at the penological, doctrinal and jurisprudential level. In conclusion, it is questionable whether it could get to consider some type of retail liability, because the relationship between frontal dysfunction and its ability to influence violent behavior.

This paper presents an evaluation conducted on a program of intervention with minors which for reducing risky behaviors based on intra-family conflicts. The evaluation scheme focused on two moments: firstly, a formal characterization of the groups was carried out; secondly, a questionnaire was administered to the technicians officially working in social programs that have certain responsibilities in the Guide program and they were asked about the suitability of the program according to some pre-established dimensions. At the same time, some information about the satisfaction degree of the parents teenagers was extracted through a questionnaire elaborated following the dimensions of the evaluation of the impact of the CINDA model González (2005). Afterwards, the obtained results were contrasted with the people directly responsible, those who applied directly the program, and depending on the results certain improvement proposals were established.

Esta figura profesional mantiene una constante coordinación con todos los profesionales, servicios y entidades que trabajan con menores en el municipio., Conflict resolution strategies in the juvenile field must start from the premise of incorporating young people themselves in intervention processes, since any decision that has not been taken with their consensus will not be useful in achieving objectives. This paper presents a model in which two parties are committed to the resolution strategy.

The existence of several causes of antisocial behavior during adolescence seems to respond, not only to the combination of many risk factors within different levels of human development, but also to cultural and historical processes affecting, in many ways, several generations since their early childhood. This paper revises the main explicative theories about antisocial behavior during adolescence and highlights the theory of the Neuropsychological Taxonomy of the Antisocial Behavior proposed by Terrie E. Moffitt (1993, 1994, 1996, 2003). Moreover, some studies are mentioned due to the fact that they confirm the cross-cultural validity of Moffitt’s theorical model and its contributions to the design of prevention programs against delinquency for youngsters and adolescents in our context.
