Abstract

The article discusses the impact that high deductibles in health insurance plans have on the economic conditions of U.S. employees. An overview of the U.S. employers' shifting of health costs to their employees from 2010 to 2014, including in regard to employers' offering a health savings account with a high-deductible health insurance plan, is provided.
