The objective of this paper is to identify and evaluate the issues related to communicating in the process of change management in public organisations. Design/methodology/approach: There were 576 properly filled out survey questionnaires, in which the respondents assessed individual statements, which are – in their opinion – important in the implementation of change in their organisation. The Likert scale was applied to assess these factors. In order to assess the relationship between the opinions and the features describing a study group, a stochastic independence analysis was performed. Two non-parametric tests for independent samples – the Mann-Whitney U test and the KruskalWallis test – were applied. The minimum level of significance of α = 0.05 was adopted. SPSS IBM was applied for statistical calculations. Findings: The study findings show, in most cases, that there are issues in the public organisations under study associated with communication with change implementation. The study findings show that the individual scores depend mainly on the respondents’ education, on the fact that the employees are involved in the change implementation, which is a key element of their function in the organisation and on the position occupied. There is no significant differentiation of the responses for the other features. Research limitations/implications: There are certain limitations of the study, which is a consequence of the choice of articles for the literature review and the findings of studies published on change management in public organisations. The limitation in the case of empirical studies lies in the sample not being representative. Practical implications: The findings should help public institution managers to identify the areas which could become a point of interest in change management. Originality/value: Research in a practical dimension has the potential to raise public managers' awareness of the impact of communication on change management in public organizations. Purpose: Paper aims to fill the cognitive gap regarding the role, importance and potential of integrating eye tracking research and artificial intelligence. The main goal of the work was to design a proposal for the synergistic use of eye tracking and artificial intelligence for marketing communication management. Design/methodology/approach: To achieve the planned goal and answer the research questions, methods of systematic literature review, online content analysis, expert interviews and pilot eye tracking studies using the Gazepoint GP3 device and Gazepoint Analysis V6.9.0 software were used. The considerations are conducted in the field of behavioral economics. Findings: During the discussion and analysis of various aspects related to the use of eye tracking, artificial intelligence and neuro research in the context of marketing communication management, the following was established: the importance, applications and synergy of eye tracking and AI in marketing communication; the future of new technologies in marketing; key benefits, challenges and potential of the tools discussed, with particular emphasis on the need for their responsible use along with continuous development in this field. Research limitations/implications: Suggestions for future research on the issues discussed include: ethics and privacy; technological limitations; future dynamics changes. Suggestions for future research include broader analysis of user experience, integration of methods with other technologies, longitudinal research on the impact of AI-generated content personalization, measurement of consumers' emotional engagement. The indicated research areas may contribute to better use of technology in marketing and expand knowledge about nondeclarative consumer behavior. Originality/value: The value of the article lies in providing conclusions and practical recommendations as well as identifying areas for further research, which may contribute to a better understanding and use of eye tracking, AI and neuro research in the field of marketing. The entire research project allowed for the design of a proposal for the synergistic use of eye tracking and artificial intelligence for marketing communication management. Purpose: Higher education (HE) institutions can play a fundamental role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. However, universities often face various obstacles to sustainability management, leading to a lack of strategies for implementing governance for sustainability (GFS). The purpose of this paper is to propose a model, based on work and organizational psychology (WOP), for the analysis, promotion and implementation of GFS in HE. The model includes five dimensions: culture, leadership, teamwork, communication and transition management. Design/methodology/approach: Using a mixed methods approach, GFS was investigated in four Piedmontese (Northern Italy) universities and in their sustainability network, applying the model proposed in this paper. Findings: The five dimensions of the model have proven to be fundamental to the development of GFS in HE. Each dimension was filled with experiences from specific contexts through data collection, highlighting specificities and barriers. Furthermore, the mixed methods approach and the WOP perspective proved to be effective in addressing sustainable transitions in HE. Originality/value: A practical proposal for analyzing and improving HE sustainable transitions in a WOP perspective is still missing, as well as a model that identifies organizational dimensions that should be monitored. This study not only provides an example of this transition but also confirms the importance that the literature attributes to the specificities and barriers of dimensions such as culture, leadership, teamwork, communication and transition management in this context. In light of the escalating demand and intricacy of services in contemporary terrestrial, maritime, and aerial combat operations, there is a compelling need for enhanced service quality and efficiency in airborne cluster communication networks. Software-Defined Networking (SDN) proffers a viable solution for the multifaceted task of cooperative communication transmission and management across different operational domains within complex combat contexts, due to its intrinsic ability to flexibly allocate and centrally administer network resources. This study pivots around the optimization of SDN controller deployment within airborne data link clusters. A collaborative multi-controller architecture predicated on airborne data link clusters is thus proposed.Within this architectural framework, the controller deployment issue is reframed as a two-fold problem: subdomain partitioning and central interaction node selection. We advocate a subdomain segmentation approach grounded in node value ranking (NDVR) and a central interaction node selection methodology predicated on an enhanced Artificial Fish Swarm Algorithm (AFSA). The advanced NDVR-AFSA (Node value ranking-Improved artificial fish swarm algorithm) algorithm makes use of a chaos algorithm for population initialization, boosting population diversity and circumventing premature algorithm convergence. By the integration of adaptive strategies and incorporation of the genetic algorithm’s crossover andmutation operations, the algorithm’s search range adaptability is enhanced, thereby increasing the possibility of obtaining globally optimal solutions, while concurrently augmenting cluster reliability. The simulation results verify the advantages of the NDVR-IAFSA algorithm, achieve a better load balancing effect, improve the reliability of aviation data link cluster, and significantly reduce the average propagation delay and disconnection rate, respectively, by 12.8% and 11.7%. This shows that the optimization scheme has important significance in practical application, and can meet the high requirements of modern sea, land, and air operations to aviation airborne communication networks. This article examines the impact of training, communication, and the work environment on employee performance at PT. Lestari Dini Tunggul, a garment industry company in Jakarta, Indonesia. The study uses quantitative research methods and a questionnaire to gather data. The results of the analysis show that training, communication, and the work environment all have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. The article suggests that PT. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between perceived communication and career management of employees working at various levels in different sectors in Turkey in terms of demographic variables. The research covers 260 employees working in the public and private sectors in Istanbul. Results showed that employees' perceived communication barriers have a significant negative and weak correlation with career management and also regression analysis indicated the same results. Further, differences were reported for participants' age and work experience in terms of perceived career management and no significant differences were found for the other demographic variables in terms of employee communication barriers and career management. Based on the findings, it is suggested that to increase the positive perceptions of career management of employees, communication barriers should be eliminated and organizational communication effectiveness should be improved. Destinations increasingly use chatbots in the management and communication with tourists. This study analyzes the mediating effect of chatbot usage satisfaction on forming the destination's image. As a case study, we use the Chabot "Victoria la Malagueña," Spain. Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equations were necessary to identify the relationships between the constructs. The results show that informativeness and empathy are the main attributes that influence user satisfaction and mediate forming a destination image. This work analyzes the management of external digital organizational communication in the social media of university libraries belonging to the Network of Catholic and Catholic-oriented Universities of the Argentine Republic (BUCOC), and its possible relationship with the professional training of those responsible and collaborators in charge of this task. The study was carried out between July 1, 2020 and January 31, 2022, using a descriptive approach and a non-experimental design of transectional or cross-sectional type. Direct observation techniques were used for the analysis, using criteria guides to analyze websites and social media profiles, and surveys of library managers and their collaborators involved in communication management. The results reveal that most libraries use social media to promote their services, but hardly use them to establish public relations with users. Weaknesses in communication practices were identified, possibly related to the lack of training in the strategic management of digital communication. This experimental study, extending the communication accommodation theory and the Communication Predicament of Disability Model, examined people with disabilities' perceptions of four manipulated communication styles and tested the effects on their cognitive, emotional, and behavioral responses. Results revealed that participants in the integrative talk condition judged the coworker as the most competent and satisfying and had the least anxiety, followed by a relational talk, dismissive talk, and directive talk. Additionally, integrative talk resulted in the least internalized stigma and the highest likelihood of participants using accommodative response strategies, such as problem-solving and obliging. Furthermore, results revealed indirect effects of the communication styles on communication competence, satisfaction, stigma, and response strategies through communication anxiety. Against the background of the development of network security technologies such as railway communication data network and transmission network, and in accordance with the strategy of "integration, centralization and protection" for security protection in railway communication networks, this paper puts forward the concept of using the virtual firewall technology to share one network security protection system at the network security boundary of various communication network management systems. The proposed concept aims to achieve the purposes of service isolation, management and control isolation, and equipment resource sharing among various systems, so as to meet the network security needs of various network management systems for communication systems. This paper aims to discuss the common obstacles detected during the maintenance of railway communication optical cables, and explore the methods to analyze and locate and deal with such obstacles. According to the situation of fiber core blocking, the obstacles of optical cables are divided into several types, such as complete blocking, partial blocking, and excessive fiber attenuation. The causes of optical cable obstacles are analyzed, and are divided into natural disasters, external forces, human factors, and cable defects. For diff erent types of optical cable obstacles, corresponding handling methods are proposed, including the principles for dealing with faults and obstacles, the sequences for achieving emergent reconnection and recovery, and the methods for locating and dealing with cable fault points. This paper emphasizes the importance of day-to-day maintenance management of railway communication optical cable lines, to ensure the safe operation of railway communication equipment, so as to guarantee the safety of railway transportation. Purpose: Governments around the world have shown poor capabilities in responding effectively to the COVID-19 health emergency outbreaks. After the declaration of COVID-19 as an international pandemic by the World Health Organization on January 31, 2020, three countries experienced the greatest initial impact in Europe. Sequentially Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom (UK) were hit by the highest numbers of contagion and death in the first few months in Europe. The aim of this paper is to assess how information channels and sources influenced the public's evaluation of the three government's communication response strategies. Design/methodology/approach: An online survey was conducted between March 14 and April 14, 2020, during the first wave of lockdowns and declarations of States of Emergency in the three countries. Findings: Findings show particularities for the different countries, but also similarities in response and reactions of the public in the three scenarios. The response strategy of the UK Government was the most untrusted and criticized by citizens. In contrast, the Italian and Spanish Governments, which both chose to respond with the severest restrictions, attracted more support from citizens, especially in Italy, which was the first to close borders and impose lockdowns for the population. Research limitations/implications: Despite the national differences in the preference of information channels and sources, overall, an empirical relationship between government communication assessment and media use were found in all the scenarios. Practical implications: This empirical study has theoretical and practical implications. Theoretically, findings will add evidence of implications of the Channel Complementary Theory to the field of risk, crisis and emergency communication. The results also provide insights for communication practitioners in the public sector on how forms of information and trust in sources influence the public's assessment of authorities' communication. Originality/value: Implications for theory and empirical research about communication during a health pandemic are identified and discussed. Highlights: Citizens engage at a high level and synchronize their use of multiple media and platforms in all the three national scenarios. Stronger criticism is provided by online media, especially social media and online press in the different national contexts. Results corroborate that factors related to media choice need to be operationalized for risk and crisis communication research. When public health depends on people understanding the actions they need to take, the possibility of disobedience is highly dependent on trust. Compared with Spain and the United Kingdom (UK), trust in government institutions in Italy was stronger and could be explained by the higher use of owned media for information-seeking. Purpose: The main purpose of the article is to identify the ways in which sports organisations communicate online, mainly using social media. An additional objective is to find differences in the target audience in social media on the basis of the numbers determining the activity of the audience of the communication pages. The reason for the article was also to identify a relatively novel and easy mathod to measure the effects of communication through these media. Design/methodology/approach: To achieve the intended purpose, a method of desk research and numerical data covering the activity of selected sports clubs (organisations) on the most popular portals in the period from 1 to 31 July 2023 was used. The data will be statistically analysed using standardised indicators to enable comparison. The subjects of the study were the three leading sports clubs of the highest men's football competition class in Poland, as the most active in the online space and generating the highest interest. Findings: The outcome of the study was to establish a ranking of the use of social networking sites in the clubs' communication with their stakeholders and the differences between the effects of messages in these media. Research limitations/implications: The main limitations of the study are the variety of factors that can influence communication management in sports organisations, as well as the multichannel nature of the methods of reaching stakeholders. The main focus of the paper is on social media and how to use data from this source. In the future, this approach can be adapted in solving communication management problems. Practical implications: The method used in the article is flexible, allowing it to be used freely to find out the effectiveness of companies' social media activities. Companies operating in homogeneous markets receive, thanks to the presented one, a tool for recognising their competitive position in terms of marketing communication and the effectiveness of its tools on the Internet. Social implications: It is assumed that with the optimal application of the proposed survey method, a tool is gained for the objective evaluation of the communication management policy through social media. The method replaces a qualitative assessment of this management, showing the position among different types of media or competitors. Originality/value: The article is aimed at various companies active in the online space in multiple social media. The novelty is that publicly available data is standardised and thus comparable. We proposed a modification of the Rotterdam classification for thumb triplication and tetraplication. Twenty-one patients were included (24 cases of thumb triplication and four cases of tetraplication). These were analysed and classified according to a modification of the Rotterdam classification involving three steps; from the radial to ulnar side, we first identified each thumb on radiographs and gross appearance to divide into triplication or tetraplication. Second, we define the levels of duplication and established the nomenclature. Third, the aberrant features and their location were assigned for each thumb, again from radial to ulnar side. A surgical algorithm was also proposed. This modified classification may be helpful for characterizing the rare conditions of thumb triplication and tetraplication for use in patient and management and communication between surgeons. During the past year, FCC economists have evaluated competitive changes in the satellite marketplace—including an analysis of the recently approved Viasat-Inmarsat and Eutelsat-OneWeb mergers. Renovation of existing buildings pose unique challenges to the projects, especially when facilities must remain operational during construction. Building Information Modeling (BIM) methods offer a potential solution by enhancing project management and coordination. Nevertheless, comprehensive case study research on BIM implementation challenges and benefits in renovation projects is lacking. This research addresses this gap through an ethnographic investigation of BIM implementation in a complex renovation project. The ethnographic methods involved direct observation of project meetings, active engagement in all project communications, and access to project data resources. Additionally, surveys and expert interviews with key decision-makers were conducted. The findings reveal how BIM implementation streamlined project management and improved communication, decision making, and output quality, despite limited prior BIM expertise among the major stakeholders. Challenges included a lack of BIM skills, absence of standardized practices, and unclear data management. Furthermore, valuable lessons were identified, including that the necessity of BIM requirements and proper procurement methods encompassing the entire project workflow, formalizing information exchange, preventing information fragmentation, facilitating model accessibility, and ensuring clarity in model detail and content are crucial for project success. Vehicular communication is gaining popularity, and seamless handover is critical to maintaining a stable and uninterrupted network connection between vehicles and roadside units. This paper investigates the advancements in handover approaches in vehicular networks, with a specific focus on fifth generation (5G) technology. Vehicular Ad-hoc networks (VANETs) face challenges due to high mobility, dynamic network topology, and frequent information exchange. The paper discusses handover issues in 5G-VANET environments, such as too-late and too-early handovers, wrong handover decisions, and unnecessary handovers. It also explores key performance indicators (KPIs) used in handover evaluation. The advancements in handover approaches presented in this paper pave the way for enhanced connectivity and communication management in 5G-VANETs, contributing to the development of safer and more efficient intelligent transportation systems. In this paper, we aim to propose formulas based on indicators to develop the transcendent happiness of employees in the tourism industry. Specifically, three factors are proposed as determinants of transcendence happiness (THP): corporate culture (CO), internal communication (IC), and employee-centered personnel management (EPM). To this end, a model proposes to help guide employees in the tourism industry toward happiness. From a sample of 443 employees in tourist accommodations in Spain, we explore the feasibility of an SEM-PLS model based on already validated scales. Our results show, on the one hand, the critical role of organisational culture in the pursuit of employee happiness and, on the other hand, the mediating effect of internal communication between personnel management and transcendent happiness. This ground-breaking study fills two gaps in the current happiness management literature. The first is considering transcendent happiness as an innovative key to corporate governance. It requires a corporate culture that fosters all human capital's personal growth and work-related well-being. In addition, secondly, to demonstrate that the variables of internal communication and passion at work positively influence the transcendental happiness of internal customers in rural establishments. Between internal communication and personnel management based on the employee's growth, the organisational culture has the most significant impact not only on personnel management but also on the achievement of the happiness of private employees. Building on scholarship on the mediatization of organizations, we propose a conception of the social media orientation of organizational leaders and apply it to higher education. Based on an online survey of 276 leaders of Swiss higher education institutions, we show that social media platforms have made their way into university management and communication but are still not as important as news media. The aim of the study is to analyze the communication management strategies of the top 40 hotel companies, in terms of turnover, using their corporate accounts on social networks during the Easter holiday campaign in 2021 and 2022. By using apps such as "Data Analytics" and "Content Analytics" from Welovroi, a comparative, quantitative and qualitative study, using content and discourse analysis, was designed. The comparative study seeks to identify possible changes and offers data on activity, impact and the published content. The results reveal a considerable difference—both quantitative and qualitative—from one period to the other in terms of behavior and networking on social media of the brands studied. Despite the increase in publications from 2021 to 2022, the level of engagement falls, the frequency of publications and content varies and, in addition, the importance of Instagram and Facebook, as networks which generate more interaction with the public, can be noted. Sharenting refers to parents sharing private information about their children online. While satisfying important needs among parents, sharenting poses privacy risks to children and may interfere with children's autonomy in constructing their own online identity. Drawing on the concept of psychological ownership in organizational psychology and applying it to the Communication Privacy Management (CPM) framework, this study examines the interrelationships among parents' psychological ownership of their children's private information, their motivations for sharenting, and the frequency and types of sharenting behaviors they engage in. An online survey was administered to 429 parents who reported having ever shared private information about their underage children on social media. Based on previous research, two potential dimensions of psychological ownership (possession and responsibility) were proposed and their relationships with each other and with sharenting behavior and motivations were examined. The findings showed a modest correlation between possession and responsibility. Both demonstrated significant relationships with sharenting behavior and motivations, but not always in the same direction. The findings suggest value of adding psychological ownership to the CPM framework. Practical implications for parents, educators, and advocates are discussed. Prior state of knowledge: Parents are actively sharing private information about their children on social media (sharenting). It poses risks to children's privacy and interferes with children's construction of their own identity. Novel contributions: This is the first study to apply the concept of psychological ownership in organizational psychology to the communication privacy management theory (CPM). This advances both the CPM theory and understanding of the sharenting behavior. Practical implications: The findings have practical implications for parents, educators, and advocates who are concerned about children's identity and privacy online. This paper presents a simulation framework for evaluating building control strategies (BCSs), developed with VOLTTRON, an opensource platform that integrates data, devices, and systems for sensing and control applications, and is based on co-simulation interfaces. It realizes an integrated environment for both testing and deploying BCSs, thereby eliminating the need for having a dedicated implementation of BCS for testing. For the first time, this framework provides critical functionalities, including scalable communication management and time-drive simulation advance, i.e., advancing the simulation based on clock time. We applied this framework to evaluating two BCSs from ASHRAE Guideline 36-2008 and ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2019. The evaluation results show that those BCSs primarily benefit the heating operation by reducing gas usage but yield insignificant savings in electricity consumption. The results also emphasize the importance of tuning the parameters of the BCSs to achieve better performances. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Virtual working became the norm for most organizations since March 2020, and it brings well-recognized challenges. But we know little about the impact of virtual working on managerial behavior. This article presents the results of three surveys conducted before and during lockdown to understand what changed. It shows how managers became more blinkered: turning inward, becoming task-focused at the expense of relationship-building, and finding few opportunities to develop new skills. The article offers practical suggestions for how the evolution of managerial work might be accelerated, so that managers can become more effective in this changing environment. Depending on how leadership and the behavior of leaders are used in educational organizations, it can lead the organization to success by achieving the goals originally set. Analyzing leadership as a scientific concept in educational management and as a management function, according to international references, two of its basic structural elements are decision making and communication with the members of the organization and all those involved in it. In this context, the way and characteristics of communication of the leader with the members of the educational organization during human resource management can contribute to the successful performance of leadership roles and functions such as motivation, incentives, empowerment, etc. In this paper, we analyzed the implementation of certain leadership behaviors, leadership roles, and actions by the leader of an educational organization in the context of communication during human resource management. Based on the analysis conducted, we have concluded that encouraging, inspiring, rewarding, innovating, and expressing creativity to the members of an educational organization can be achieved through the leader's ability to effectively use written and oral communication in a way that directs the actions, behaviors, and reactions of the organization's members in a specific direction, thereby contributing to the optimal management of human resources while establishing a positive, open, and honest relationship with them. In addition, leaders can have communication skills that promote effective communication with their subordinate colleagues, support the optimal management of human resources, create a favorable working climate, which, contributes to the effective exercise of the leadership role and to the high efficiency of the educational institution.

The main objective of this study was to identify editorial practices related to time management in Spanish Communication journals and determine whether their time management is homogeneous, as well as to evaluate which journals are more agile, discover the differences between general and special issues, and identify practices that could streamline the publication process. To this end, we worked with an exploratory‐type methodology focused on content analysis. The sample analysed included 1,581 articles published in 2021 by the 62 Communication journals included in the Índice Dialnet de Revistas (IDR) 2020, differentiating between those published in general and special issues, with the aim of focusing attention on the time elapsed from when journals receive articles until their final publication. The results reveal little homogeneity in policies regarding information on dates and confirms average times of more than 6 months for the duration of the process, with the publication process for special issues being more agile. The strength of this work lies in the demonstration of the need to work on common policies that enable the publication process to be streamlined while accelerating the availability of research results for the benefit of academia as well as society. This research focuses on how Communication Management in Preventing the Negative Impact of Online Games on Students at SD Negeri 09 South Jakarta. The phenomenon of using online games among elementary school children is very widespread, which is feared is the negative impact experienced by elementary school students. These elementary school children have not been able to filter out what is right or wrong to apply in their lives. For this reason, it is necessary to manage school communication in order to develop good communication to prevent the negative impact of online games at SD Negeri 09 Jakarta. Because through good communication management carried out by school residents, students in this elementary school can take advantage of technology and become media literate so as to avoid negative behavior of online online games. By using the concept of communication management, and the concept of online games, and the concept of elementary school. The methodology used in this research is a qualitative method with indepth interviews with principals, teachers, students and parents and conducting data validity tests with data credibility tests. So the results of the research show that the management of communication carried out by SD 09 elementary school to prevent the negative impact of playing online games through the stages of communication planning then determining the best communication method and conducting socialization and education as well as collaborating with parents and monitoring and evaluating in monitoring student activities. This study aimed to describe and analyze social responsibility communications management at large companies in Ecuador, Colombia, and Chile and contribute empirical observations to understand sustainability management in Latin America better. The study followed a quantitative approach and conducted a survey based on the Communications and Sustainability Convergence Model. The survey was administered to 96 executives in the three countries, who were asked to rate their practices in these two dimensions. Notwithstanding the limitations associated with survey respondents self-evaluating their practices, we found that most of the companies surveyed categorize their communications and sustainability management as more strategic than tactical and that their practices fit within a scenario known as the Common Good, which aims at creating a triple social, economic and environmental value. However, conceptual differences emerge when understanding sustainability and where it should be focused within the organization. Further research is recommended to help achieve a consensus on the concept of sustainability and how it can be implemented through communications initiatives that benefit both organizations and the communities in which they operate. The purpose of this paper is to show what are the applicants' institution selection criteria in higher education in Hungary and what changes this will imply in higher education management and communication. These questions were investigated based on a review of the most relevant literature and the analysis of 1396 Hungarian higher education University of Pécs applicants in two consecutive years. Exploratory and confirmative factor analyses were used to identify the relative order of the application influencing factors: as a result, the first most important is the vivacity, followed by career and costs, fourth is image and the last one is the low commitment. In this context, the paper has shown that the identification of the application strategies requires renewed management and communication techniques. The results help the institutions to determine the possible actions to be implemented to attract more students and improve the level of offered services. The permanent system change of the Hungarian higher education as a phenomenon versus the applicants' institution selection criteria gives the uniqueness of the Hungarian situation, and this study provides information for researchers in higher education in this field additionally. Previous research applied an affordance approach to the literature in instruction and pedagogy. Because of the continued trend in online instruction and course management, there exists a need to study the impact of technological affordances and communication in learning management systems. The current study replicates and extends research investigating the responses of undergraduate students to discussion comments on a course management page, in which the presence or absence of peer identity and the helper heuristic of fellow students were manipulated. Results suggest that the act of being helpful (through the helper heuristic) positively impacted source credibility, perceptions of an assignment-related message, and computer-mediated competence. Findings for student rapport and task attraction did not replicate. Furthermore, identity cues continue to be unrelated to the variables of interest. The progressive adoption of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the business world has generated a radical transformation in operational and communication management, both internally and externally. ICT are present at all levels of today's society, from the largest multinational corporations to individuals. The objective of this research is to provide an analysis of the trends and prospects of ICT in business management. For this purpose, a scientometric analysis and a systematic review in Scopus and SciELO was conducted during the last 5 years, from 2018 to 2022. The inquiry indicates that the thematic relationships show divergences, in turn, the emerging trends represent a greater variety with respect to the intermediate and consolidated ones. Likewise, it is necessary to opt for the democratization of knowledge regarding technology; in this way, ICT must be an indisputable part of organizations, regardless of the category, size or purpose. The main limitation to the application of ICT is the lack of knowledge about them, or their misleading praxis; therefore, emphasis is placed on the adoption or efficient learning of the tools that will be the protagonist of future progress. The COVID-19 pandemic has seriously affected the world's cultural institutions, as well as driving digitization and a change in the relationships with their audiences. This study explores how the most visited art-museums in Spain have reacted through their social networks to the pandemic. Two key moments, the confinement and a period one-year after the declaration of the health crisis are compared. A mixed method by combining a content analysis of 2392 publications on Twitter and Instagram and two regression models evidence that COVID-19 has been a turning point in the management of museum communication in digital ecosystems. The main findings highlight the importance of active listening and the ability of these channels to create experiences beyond the physical visit. The strategic value of its implementation is underlined. Practical implications are included and it emphasized the role of entertainment and social support of the museums in crisis situations. Purpose: The aim of the study is to deepen the knowledge about municipalities' risk communication for preparedness. This objective was pursued by analyzing how risk communication functions were organized in municipalities and by scrutinizing tensions in risk communication management. Design/methodology/approach: The study relies on 19 qualitative, semi-structured interviews with communication practitioners in Swedish municipalities. The sample was purposive and included Swedish municipalities varying in number of inhabitants, geographical location, degree of urbanization, size and risk profile. Findings: Risk communication is seen as a sub-field of crisis communication in municipalities' communication management. The task of initiating risk communication activities and campaigns is frequently assigned to the municipalities' safety units or emergency coordinators and is normally not part of communication practitioners' duties. Municipal communication practitioners often face challenges in trying to demonstrate the significance of the practitioners' role in risk communication and other risk-related activities within the municipality. The practitioners' work is characterized by four categories of tensions that are identified as follows: constitutional/legal, organizational, cultural and technological. Practical implications: The identified tensions in risk communication are important for reflexive practitioners to consider, and the paper suggests three steps that municipal communication managers can take to handle them. Originality/value: The study contributes with novel knowledge about municipal communication management in a context of risk communication. The study challenges the existing and dominant risk communication research and offers a more contextual and reflexive understanding of actual risk communication processes in municipalities. Research Summary: Solving non‐routine problems—problems for which current organizational, recurrent action patterns do not offer a predetermined, effective solution—can be an important source of value creation. When these problems occur in subsidiaries of multinational corporations, senior headquarters managers can potentially help solve them. However, whether their involvement is beneficial rests upon the assumptions that they know which knowledge is appropriate and that their involvement does not negatively influence the problem solving process. We challenge these assumptions and theorize that the involvement of senior headquarters managers is negatively related to solution effectiveness, unless senior subsidiary managers are also involved, and especially if problems have an external locus (i.e., primarily relate to the firm's products and services). Our robust results are consistent with our theory. Managerial Summary: Companies are often faced with new problems, which represent an opportunity for organizational improvements. But how different types of senior managers influence problem solving effectiveness has remained unclear. Studying problems occurring in foreign subsidiaries of multinational corporations, we find that the involvement of senior headquarters managers is negatively related to problem solving effectiveness. Two reasons explain this result: senior headquarters managers often lack necessary understanding of their subsidiaries' contexts; and their involvement diminishes active participation of subsidiary employees. The negative relationship is especially strong when problems relate to products and services (as opposed to internal processes). The COVID-19 pandemic has caused extensive influence on the world's economy and society. Many industries suffer from enormous losses in China, while the construction industry achieves a "V' shape revival in performance. Based on an online survey of 283 Chinese civil engineers, this study reveals that the construction industry encountered difficulties of lack of workers, blocked transportation, shortage of materials, and inadequate funds, which led to common problems of schedule delay and cost overrun during the pandemic. Key measures to mitigate the impact of the pandemic and help the construction industry transit from survival to revival include efficient epidemic control, various government support, usage of digital technologies, and flexible management and communication schemes. These responding strategies imply that the government, the construction industry, and construction enterprises should improve information technology intelligence to meet the challenges of a global pandemic. Bumble and Tinder are dating apps for those who struggle with online dating-based romance. They allow you to share personal data through a smartphone application, without the need for direct conversation. This study aims to explain the phenomenon of online dating with Dating Apps and the meaning of using Dating Apps Bumble and Tinder from the perspective of Computer-Mediated Communication and Coordinated Management of Meaning. The basic concepts used in this research are the theory of Computer-Mediated Communication from Joseph Walther and the Coordinated Management of Meaning from W. B Pearce and V Cronin. In this qualitative research, informants are determined using purposive sampling and participant observation. The data collection techniques used in this study were observations and interviews with six women and three men who were active users of Bumble and Tinder. The results of this research show a pattern of gender relations in the use of the Bumble or Tinder applications. Bumble gives women more control over relationship development or termination compared to Tinder. Shared meaning of "dating" sustains gender relations, built through communication, relationships, and culture. Flood is a hydrometeorological disaster whose intensity and geographic scope continue to increase due to climate change, global warming, and lack of environmental management. Floods often need to be better managed through policy implementation and communication. This study reviews the communication of public policies for flood management. This review uses a traditional approach by referring to previous publications from articles and books, whereas analysis and synthesis refer to the qualitative methods. Public policy must pay attention to fairness, transparency, accountability, participation, and accommodating all parties' interests. The implementation for flood disasters needs to consider elements, the existing programs, and target groups that will receive policies. Flood disaster communication has principles such as transparency, responsiveness, efficiency, effectiveness, accountability, participation, measurement, fairness, and environmental sustainability. Effective and timely communication is very important in dealing with disasters because it can help reduce losses and increase community preparedness. The infrastructure system, which includes drainage, reservoir management, water infiltration zones (green space and densely vegetated land), and mapping of floodprone areas, must also be communicated adequately. Flood management requires adequate public communication, thus the policy synchronization between different institutions and regions to address socioeconomics and environmental interests within a participatory-based flood management framework. Soft skills like communication and team management have been increasingly gaining importance to improve the employability of students graduating out of college. The educational institutes have been trying to incorporate soft skills in the curriculum of these students to make them more employment ready though the output is far from satisfactory. This research aims to identify the reasons why the educational institutes are unable to fill the gap even though soft skills, specifically communication, has been a part of the module and what are some of the steps that can be taken to make this whole exercise more effective.
