This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric and content analysis of scholarly articles investigating the relationship between leadership and organizational commitment. Utilizing the Web of Science Core Collection database, the research encompasses a rigorous search strategy focused on terms such as "leadership", "distributed leadership", "transformational leadership", and "organizational commitment". We selected a final dataset of 2110 peer-reviewed papers from the management and business domains after filtering through over 10,000 sources. The analysis identifies five key clusters to expand the understanding between leadership and organizational commitment: (1) "The Future of Remote Work and Its Impact on Organizational Commitment", (2) "Authentic Leadership in the Age of Climate Organizational Change", (3) "Job Satisfaction Promotes Leadership and Organizational Commitment by Empowering Attitudes and Perceptions", (4) "Study of Leadership Style and Culture as Antecedents of Organizational Performance", and (5) "Leadership in the Digital Age: Exploring the Intersection of Transactional and Transformational Leadership Styles". This study's originality lies in its extensive bibliometric examination, offering novel insights and guiding future research directions, thereby significantly contributing to the understanding and advancement of the field. The success of education is largely determined by the performance of quality teachers in planning, implementing, and evaluating learning, maintaining task discipline, and being active in the classroom. This study examined the interrelationships between transformational leadership style, teacher competence, organizational commitment, and teacher performance within educational environments. This quantitative study used the SmartPLS software with the bootstrapping method. A questionnaire was used to collect data from the 75 participants. Transformational leadership has a significant influence on both teacher and organizational commitment. Although competence positively influences organizational commitment, it does not affect teacher performance. Likewise, organizational commitment does not affect teacher performance. Furthermore, Transformational Leadership did not significantly affect Teacher Performance through Organizational Commitment. Similarly, Teacher Competence does not have a significant effect on teacher performance through Organizational Commitment. Understanding these dynamics could enhance strategies for improving teacher effectiveness and organizational outcomes in educational settings. The findings contribute both practically, by informing leadership practices and teacher development programs, and theoretically, by advancing the understanding of the complex relationships among leadership, competence, commitment, and performance in educational contexts.

This study aims to determine the relationship between job satisfaction to OCB and organizational commitment partially and simultaneously, by investigating the role of transformational leadership as a moderator variable at CV. Bangun Mandiri. The population of this study were all employees of CV, using testing techniques with the Smart PLS application. This study uses Measurement Model Analysis (Outer Model), Structural Model Analysis (Inner Model), and Hypothesis Testing. The results of this study indicate that Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction have no significant effect on OCB. In contrast, Transformational Leadership has a substantial effect on OCB but does not moderate the relationship between Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction with OCB. Thus, only Transformational Leadership has a direct impact on increasing OCB without strengthening other relationships.

Given the global challenge of increasing teacher attrition and turnover rates, the exploration of factors and mechanisms that improve teachers' organizational commitment has become a pivotal topic in educational research. In this context, the present study examines the influence of teachers' emotional intelligence on their organizational commitment, with a specific inquiry into the mediating role of teachers' psychological well-being and the moderating role of principal transformational leadership, as informed by the broaden-and-build theory of positive emotions and the trait activation theory. We verified this study's hypotheses based on 768 valid questionnaires collected from Chinese primary and secondary school teachers. The results reveal that teachers' emotional intelligence can predict their organizational commitment both directly and indirectly through the mediating role of psychological well-being. Additionally, principal transformational leadership amplifies the positive effect of teachers' emotional intelligence on psychological well-being and, subsequently, organizational commitment. These findings theoretically deepen our understanding of the psychological pathways and the boundary conditions linking teachers' emotional intelligence to their organizational commitment, while also offering valuable practical implications for building a stable and effective teaching workforce. This study proposed a conceptual model and examined the nature of the relationship between transformational leadership (TFL), perceived organisational support (POS), employee engagement (EE), and organisational commitment (OC) among employees in the Indian IT sector. It then examined the mediating effect of EE on the relationship between TFL, POS, and OC. The partial least squares equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was applied to validate the conceptual model. The findings revealed that TFL, POS and EE were significantly and positively related to OC. TFL had a greater significant effect on OC than POS. EE was found to partially mediate the relationship between TFL, POS, and OC. Control variables had a weak effect on EE and OC. However, Multigroup Analysis (MGA) revealed a significant difference in the EE of TFL between the lower and middle level managers. The findings confirm that direct policymakers and HR departments influence TFL and EE by adopting organisational interventions. This study investigates the direct or indirect impact of transformational leadership and adaptive resilience on affective commitment and turnover intention. Qualitative research was conducted to validate the concepts and the research model and quantitative research was carried out to analyze data from 310 employees selected via convenient sampling in Vietnam. The results reveal that transformational leadership does not only directly affect adaptive resilience and turnover intention, but also indirectly and fully affects affective commitment via adaptive resilience, and indirectly and partially affects turnover intention via affective commitment and adaptive resilience. Furthermore, adaptive resilience significantly impacts turnover intention via affective commitment. There is no proof in the research that adaptive resilience directly affects turnover intention. This research has documented valuable experiences related to the adaptive resilience of organizations following social crises in the relationship between leadership and turnover for scholars and managers in the future. This study aimed to determine the level of transformational leadership style, employee job satisfaction, and organizational commitment in pesantren (Islamic boarding school) and assess the role of job satisfaction as a mediator in the relationship between transformational leadership style and organizational commitment. The study used the quantitative method by surveying 556 educators from each Darunnajah Islamic boarding school branch in Indonesia. Information examination utilized numerous relapse investigation to test the inquire about theory and progressive relapse examination to test the intervention speculation. The study found that transformational authority, representative work fulfillment, and organizational commitment at Islamic boarding schools were more than direct. The study aims to analyze the effects of transformational leadership and the perception of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on the commitment and organizational citizenship of managers in one of the largest banking institutions in Latin America. Based on the literature review, six hypotheses were developed and tested using structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), gathering evidence from 163 managers. The main findings reveal that for the sample investigated, transformational leadership and CSR directly influence organizational commitment, and indirectly influence organizational citizenship. It was also found that transformational leadership encourages the development of CSR awareness. The findings indicate that the effort to maintain a socially responsible company brings benefits in organizational commitment and leads to a positive benefit in organizational citizenship. Thus, the expectation is that there will be more and more socially responsible companies, encouraging CSR practices through programs, courses and training and delivering CSR values, which has repercussions for society, since with these traits and stimuli, people tend to work in a more committed way and with positive behavior coming from employees, there is greater employability, personal development and motivation for these professionals, in addition to eventually being able to generate benefits for the region. In this modern era, schools require Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) of organization members as one of the determining elements for the smooth process of achieving school goals. Leadership can transform an organization's entire potential as a learning community towards better organizational change, which is needed to increase OCB. This article aims to analyze the direct and indirect relationship between transformational leadership (TL) and OCB with quality of work-life (QWL) and organizational commitment (OC) as mediators. Another aim is to analyze the role of QWL as a mediator of the relationship between TL and OC. The research sample was 165 permanent teachers from several high schools in Madiun City. Research data was collected through questionnaires, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used for data analysis. The data analysis results prove a significant direct relationship between TL, QWL, and OC with OCB in a positive direction. The results of testing the role of mediating variables contribute to the novelty of this research, namely: 1) QWL partially mediates the relationship between TL and OC, as well as the relationship between TL and OCB; 2) OC partially mediates the relationship between TL and OCB. The analysis results indicate that increasing teacher OCB can be done effectively through increasing transformational leadership practices, programs to improve the quality of work-life, and increasing teacher organizational commitment.

Human resources in the organization are a source of competitive advantage, and it was found that 90% of the success of modern organizations is due to organizational commitment (OC). On the other hand, transformational leadership (TL) is among the most significant forms of modern leadership, but many leaders still struggle to survive using traditional leadership techniques. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the impacts of transformational leadership on organizational commitment between the heads of administrative departments in a number of general directorates in Duhok Governorate. Samples of 130 persons from the head direction of the administration department of the directorate general of Duhok province were selected using convenience sampling. In total, 130 questionnaires were distributed; a total of 124 valid questionnaires were collected, and 95.38% of the participants responded. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences Statistics software was utilized for data analysis. The results of linear regression show that transformational leadership has a positive and significant impact on employees’ organizational commitment. Also, the average score of transformational leadership and organizational commitment in the sample group is significantly higher than the average level of society at the 99% confidence level.

Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) is work behavior employees outside the formal job description that is done voluntarily. OCB displayed by employees can support the performance and achievement of organizational goals. This study aims to determine the role of organizational commitment in mediating the effect of transformational leadership and workload on OCB, a study on employees in administrative positions in the logistics & warehouse and sales & marketing departments at PT. Saka Agung Abadi for Bali, NTB, NTT and East Kalimantan. This research was conducted at PT. Saka Agung Abadi for the Bali, NTB, NTT and East Kalimantan regions with a sample of 134 respondents spread across 16 head offices and branch offices. This research is associative and causal by using quantitative analysis methods. Determination of the sample is done by using saturated sampling. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results showed that transformational leadership had no positive and significant effect on OCB, workload had a positive and significant effect on OCB, organizational commitment had a positive and significant effect on OCB and organizational commitment was able to partially mediate the influence of transformational leadership on OCB. and organizational commitment is able to partially mediate the effect of workload on OCB. These results illustrate that the OCB displayed by employees will be higher if organizational commitment increases, as well as transformational leadership that is played well by leaders and the workload provided by the company is in accordance with the abilities and working hours of employees.

The aim of this research was to investigate the effect of principlas’ transformational leader behaviors on teachers’ organizational commitment. In the research, causal-comparative and relarional survey methods were used. The study group, defined according to convenient sampling method, was composed of 260 public school teachers working in five provinces in the Central Anatolia Region in Turkey. The data was gathered with “Transformational Leadership Scale” and “Teachers’ Organizational Commitment Scale”, in the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. Descriptive statistical analysis, independent groups t-test, test of variance (ANOVA), Pearsons’ corelational analysis and regresion analysis were employed in the analysis phase. The findings showed that both principals’ transformational leadership levels and teachers’ organizational commitment levels were moderate. It was observed that teachers’ perceptions about their principals’ transformational leadership behaviours and organizational commitment levels didn’t show a significant difference among the groups of gender, age and work experience. It was found that there was a significant relationship between principals’ transformational leadership behaviours and teachers’ organizational commitment, and the former was a significant predictor of the latter. It was concluded that principals’ transformational leadership behaviors might be effective in enhancing teachers’ organizational commitment. In this frame practical, theoretical and research recommendations were developed.

AbstractThis study has explored the link between school principals’ transformational leadership style to teachers’ organizational commitment in Addis Ababa government secondary schools employing correlational research design. Stratified random sampling technique was applied to draw a representative sample of 385 teachers for the study. The result of this study shows that transformational leadership is less practiced in Addis Ababa government secondary schools. The study further reveals that transformational leadership is positively and significantly related to teachers’ organizational commitment. Hence, improving the exercise of transformational leadership in schools may heighten the teachers’ organizational commitment. Further research is required with more sample of the study including school principals, students and parent teacher association to examine the link in more detail in Ethiopian context.

In recent years, styles of transformational and transactional leadership have become an important area of research because of its significant impact on teachers' outcomes such as commitment, job satisfaction, self-efficacy. However, the relationships between transformational and transactional leadership styles of school principals and teachers' organizational commitment have been rarely investigated in the educational context in Vietnam. This study aimed to determine how transformational and transactional leadership styles influence the organizational commitment of Vietnamese high school teachers. The study employed two standardized surveys to collect data from 387 teachers at 24 public high schools in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam. The results of correlation coefficient analyses indicated that teachers' organizational commitment was positively influenced by transformational leadership and negatively influenced by transactional leadership. In addition, the results of multiple regression analyses showed that the organizational commitment of teachers was predicted by all components of both leadership styles of principals. The present study suggested that school leaders might combine both transformational and transactional leadership styles in their leadership practices to improve teachers' organizational commitment. This study aimed at testing the influence of organizational culture, transformational leadership, and personality on organizational commitment, with job satisfaction as the intervening variable. This study employed a quantitative method with path analysis technique and SITOREM (Scientific Identification Theory to Conduct Operation Research in Education Management) analysis. The study was carried out in a Private Madrasah Aliyah, East Jakarta, with hundred and forty (140) full-time teachers of the institution as the samples. Data were collected through questionnaires. The result of the study shows that there is a positive and significant direct influence of organizational culture on organizational commitment; transformational leadership on organizational commitment; personality on organizational commitment; job satisfaction on organizational commitment; organizational culture on job satisfaction; transformational leadership on job satisfaction and personality on job satisfaction. On the other hand, the study revealed that organizational culture does not significantly influence organizational commitment through job satisfaction; transformational leadership does not significantly influence organizational commitment through job satisfaction; and personality does not significantly influence organizational commitment through job satisfaction. From the result of the SITOREM analysis, seven (7) indicators of priority that requires handling were obtained. This study recommends that the institutions should improve their policies so that the level of teachers’ commitment is increased.

The COVID-19 pandemic that hit the world during 2019 has set an enormous challenge for the healthcare industry in B&H as well as for the entire world. The Healthcare industry was forced to find new strategies overnight to survive. This study aims to investigate the impact of transactional and transformational leadership styles on employees’ intention to stay in mediating the role of affective commitment in healthcare organizations in B&H during the COVID-19. This research has high implications for decreasing turnover in workplaces and increasing organizational commitment by contributing high commitment to the employees that will be more motivated and perform better. The data of the study were analyzed using SPSS (v20) software packages and mediation tests were applied, using 178 sample data from private healthcare institutions in B&H. The results indicate that effective commitment mediates the connection between transformational and transactional leadership and turnover intention.

This study aims to investigate the relationships among transformational leadership, followers' innovative behavior, commitment to change, and organizational support for creativity. First, we examine the mediating role of commitment to change in the relationship between transformational leadership and followers' innovative behavior, using both objective and subjective measures. Our results reveal that commitment to change indeed mediates this relationship. Second, we analyze whether the link between commitment to change and followers' innovative behavior is moderated by organizational support for creativity. We find that this relationship is stronger for individuals with high organizational support for creativity compared to those with low support. Empirical analysis was conducted using data collected from 535 managers in 11 subsidiaries of a financial institution in South Korea. This study contributes to the management discipline by resolving mixed outcomes between transformational leadership and followers' innovation and highlighting the influence of commitment to change and perceived organizational support for creativity on innovative behavior. The shortage of nursing faculty around the world is known to have an adverse effect on the quality of nursing education and the number of qualified nursing graduates. This is particularly alarming when globally, there is a shortage of millions of nurses in practice. Measuring the intent of nursing faculty to stay within academic settings is crucial in many countries to determine the state of the academic workforce and to strategize to address the issues. This cross-sectional study aimed to identify the predictors of intent to stay among 330 nursing faculty members randomly selected from 50 nursing and midwifery training schools in Myanmar, where nursing research is still in its infancy. The research instruments used were a demographic data form, Price's Intent to Stay Scale, the Global Leadership Scale, the Work Autonomy Scale, the Workload Scale, the Faculty Stress Index, the Job Satisfaction Scale, and the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, biserial correlation, and binary logistic regression analysis. The findings revealed that 68.5% of nursing faculty members reported a high intent to stay in their schools. Transformational leadership, workload, job stress, and organizational commitment were significant predictors of intent to stay, accounting for 39.2% of the variance. Job stress had the strongest negative effect on the intent to stay. Nursing faculty administrators, nursing and health leaders, and health policymakers can utilize the results of this study as baseline information to create effective strategies to improve transformational leadership, reduce workload and job stress, and promote organizational commitment among nursing faculty members to remain in academia. This study was conducted to determine the Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) of correctional officers at the Super Maximum-Security Prison in Indonesia which is influenced by Transformational Leadership (TL) either directly or indirectly through Affective Organizational Commitment (AOC), Job Satisfaction (JS) and Job Self-Efficacy (JSE). This research was conducted on 224 prison officers as a sample size. Data was collected by means of a questionnaire distributed via Google Form. Robustness was built in two stages; the first stage was through a try out of research instruments and the second stage was through data collection which was done with the time lagged method. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of AMOS 24 software. The results of this study indicate that triple mediation consisting of AOC, JS and JSE fully mediates the effect of TL on OCB. The novelty of this research lies in the role of triple mediation as the focuses of the study. Furthermore, the triple mediation has been proven to fully mediate the effect of TL on OCB thus may serve as empirical evidence that contribute to theoretical and practical developments in the fields of Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior. Background: Nurses´ perceptions of leaders´ leadership styles has a significant impact on their well-being. Effective leadership in health care is crucial for improving and enhancing the effectiveness of health care systems. This study aimed to assess the perceived utilization of leadership styles among nurses at Jimma town public health facilities, Ethiopia. Methods: This facility-based cross-sectional study was conducted with 403 nurses. Data were collected through a self-administered structured questionnaire. Data were entered into Epi-Data version 4.6 and then exported to SPSS version 25. The strength of association was described using unstandardized adjusted β with a 95% confidence interval (CI) and p-value < 0.05. Results: Of the 422 participants, 403 completed and returned the questionnaire correctly, thus achieving a response rate of 95.5%. Staff nurses perceived that their head nurses fairly often or commonly used transformational leadership styles, with a mean of 2.77± 0.60. The multivariable linear regression analysis model indicated that there was a positive relationship between perceived leadership style and gender, overall organizational commitment, overall job-related stress, overall innovative work behavior, and overall leadership practice. However, there was a negative relationship between perceived leadership style and nurses who had not received previous training on leadership. Conclusion: This study highlights that transformational leadership is a commonly utilized leadership style by leader nurses. Effective and balanced use of various leadership styles requires knowledge (training), organizational commitment, and innovative work behavior from both leaders and staff nurses. The covid pandemic requires the readiness of employees to deal with the work system. This study aims to determine the effect of Transformational Leadership, Self-Efficacy, and Organizational Commitment on Readiness to Change and to determine the role of Organizational Commitment in mediating the relationship between Transformational Leadership and Self-Efficacy on Readiness to Change. This study was conducted at the Civil Servants of the Regional Secretariat of Poso Regency with a population of 260 people. The sample in this study used a purposive sampling technique of 118 respondents. The exogenous variables in this study are Transformational Leadership and Self-Efficacy, while the endogenous variables are Readiness to Change mediated by Organizational Commitment. Variable measurements were carried out using a Likert scale. Data analysis was performed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the PLS (Partial Least Square) approach. The software used for structural analysis uses Smart PLS 3.2.9. The results of the analysis show that Transformational Leadership and Self-Efficacy have a positive and significant effect on Organizational Commitment. Transformational Leadership, Self-Efficacy, and Organizational Commitment have a positive and significant impact on Readiness to Change. Organizational Commitment partially mediates the relationship between Transformational Leadership and Self-Efficacy and Readiness to Change.

Open government data (OGD) are considered a sustainable driver of firm innovation. Leadership is a crucial decision-maker for firms to employ OGD in innovation. The present study focuses on two of the most prominent leadership styles: transformational and transactional. Drawing on the Organizational Commitment Theory, we claim that affective and normative commitment are the two parallel mechanisms that explain how leadership promotes OGD-driven innovation in firms. Our results show that transformational leadership promotes OGD-driven radical innovation through affective commitment. In contrast, transactional leadership promotes OGD-driven incremental innovation through normative commitment. More importantly, we suggest that the OGD application stage moderates the effect of leadership on organizational commitment. Specifically, in the initial stage of the OGD application, higher transformational leadership triggers higher affective commitment in employees. Organizational commitment is posited to be influenced by organizations' leadership styles. This is due to leadership provides guidance and influence the organizations' members to move towards attaining the collective objectives. Within the context of a high compliance organizations such as the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM, leadership style is expected to impose stronger influence on the members' work behaviors including the organizational commitment. Thus, this study aims to analyse the effect of transformational and transactional leadership styles on the organizational commitment of the lower rank police officers in the PDRM. The study employs quantitative research design which based on the survey technique. Questionnaires are distributed to 226 respondents among the lower rank police officers who are involved in the crime prevention and enforcement task in the Police Headquarters in one of the districts in Selangor. The study sample has been selected through the random sampling technique and consist of members from the Sub Inspector, Sargent Major, Sargent, Corporal, Lans Corporal and Constable ranks. The Multiple Regression analysis is used to test the influence between variables in the study framework. The study findings show a significant relationship between the transformation and transactional leadership style with the members' organizational commitment. As a result, transformational and transactional leadership styles are essential leadership styles that have influence on the lower rank police officers' organizational commitment. The study result further indicates transformational leadership styles has more positive influence and dominance in contributing to higher level of organizational commitment compared to the transactional leadership style. Over the last several decades, the attention of scholars in the field of leadership in higher education (HE) has been rapidly growing. A corpus of literature on leadership research has established how leadership styles affect institutional performance, organizational commitment, culture, employees' motivation, effectiveness, retention, and job satisfaction. Although a considerable amount of research on how leadership is related to employees' job satisfaction across literature exists, however, little research has studied the influence of academics' perceived leadership styles on their job satisfaction in African countries and particularly in Tanzania. Drawing from Bass and Avolio's (1994) Full Range Leadership Theory (FRLT) and Herzberg's two-factor theory, the present study examined the association between academics' perceived leadership styles employed by either their deans or head of departments on their job satisfaction as measured by the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ). The study was quantitatively driven with a cross-sectional survey design. A convenient sample of academics (N = 411) of which (Men: N = 310, Women: N = 101) from four Tanzanian universities responded to a Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ-5x short) and MSQ. A hierarchical multiple regression analysis was performed by using SPSS version 25 to detect significant predictors of academics' job satisfaction. Results demonstrated that both perceived transformational and transactional leadership styles statistically significantly related to academics' job satisfaction over and above their marital status, gender, age, academic rank, and institutional type. Orientation: Organisations are facing several challenges pertaining to effective leadership, fairness and loyalty of employees. The moderating influence of transformational leadership (TL) on the relationship between justice and employee commitment is still largely unknown and needs to be explored further, especially within the customer service industry. Research purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between organisational justice and employee commitment and to examine the moderating effect of TL on the relationship between organisational justice and employee commitment in a customer service organisation. Motivation for the study: The research setting of this study is a customer service organisation. This organisation calls for a role model leadership approach, such as TL, to create a just, fair workplace and ultimately increase the level of employee commitment. Research approach/design and method: A quantitative cross-sectional survey design was used to collect the data from a sample of 111 permanently employed staff in a South African customer service organisation. Main findings: The findings indicate that TL had a significant positive relationship with organisational justice and employee commitment. Furthermore, the results indicate that TL moderated the relationship between organisational justice and employee commitment. Practical/managerial implications: The findings showed that TL could be vital as an effective leadership approach that can enhance justice perceptions and psychological attachment in the workplace. One of the main issue to extensive concept analysis from the perspective of healthcare sector is the domain's rapid-changing panorama. The concept of transformational leadership in terms of health managers is a new insight that has been highlighted in the study. In this current study, a sample of 261 individuals employed in managerial roles within the hospitals was included. Results show that there is a positive correlation between the sub variables of transformational leadership with organizational commitment and its dimensions. The results also indicate that the emotional Intelligence have a significant moderator effect on the association between the dimensions of transformational leadership and organizational commitment in the context of Pakistani health sector. Moreover, the results also indicate that the study also found that perceived benefits of training has a significant mediating role in the relationship between the dimensions of transformational leadership and organizational commitment. This shows that the training programs may produce more positive results when health managers understand the training benefits, which is likely to boost their commitment to the hospitals. Hence, it is suggested that hospitals should arrange training sessions timely to improve transformational leadership competencies of health managers. The aim of this research was to investigate the effect of principlas' transformational leader behaviors on teachers' organizational commitment. In the research, causal-comparative and relarional survey methods were used. The study group, defined according to convenient sampling method, was composed of 260 public school teachers working in five provinces in the Central Anatolia Region in Turkey. The data was gathered with "Transformational Leadership Scale" and "Teachers' Organizational Commitment Scale", in the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. Descriptive statistical analysis, independent groups t-test, test of variance (ANOVA), Pearsons' corelational analysis and regresion analysis were employed in the analysis phase. The findings showed that both principals' transformational leadership levels and teachers' organizational commitment levels were moderate. It was observed that teachers' perceptions about their principals' transformational leadership behaviours and organizational commitment levels didn't show a significant difference among the groups of gender, age and work experience. It was found that there was a significant relationship between principals' transformational leadership behaviours and teachers' organizational commitment, and the former was a significant predictor of the latter. It was concluded that principals' transformational leadership behaviors might be effective in enhancing teachers' organizational commitment. Nowadays, sustainable performance (SP) has become an obligation of every organization globally, which captures the attention of recent researchers and policymakers. Following the green theory, this study aims to examine the impact of corporate social responsibilities (CSR), transactional and transformational leadership on the SP. Besides, examining the moderating role of sustainable entrepreneurship and mediating role of organizational commitment among the nexus of CSR, transactional and transformational leadership, and SP is another target of this research. This study adopted the questionnaires to collect the data from the respondents of the internet services industry in China, and structural equation modeling (SEM)was employed to analyze the data. This research revealed that CSR, transactional, and transformational leadership have a positive effect on SP. Secondly, this study also indicated that sustainable entrepreneurship significantly moderates among nexus of transactional and transformational leadership to SP. Besides, our results show that organizational commitment positively mediates the links between CSR, transactional leadership, transformational leadership, and the SP. The conclusion of this research signifies that organizational leadership strongly influences the adoption of green and sustainable operations, which further influences the SP. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to investigate the structural relationships among transformational leadership, affective organizational commitment and job performance, as well as the mediating effect of employee engagement on their relationships. Design/methodology/approach: To examine the structural relationships among the research variables, structural equation modeling analysis and bootstrap estimates were performed using the data of 600 full-time employees working in Korean private organizations. Findings: The results of the data analysis suggest that transformational leadership had a significant impact on employee affective organizational commitment and job performance through employee engagement as a mediator. Specifically, employee engagement partially mediated the mechanism in which transformational leadership affects employee affective organizational commitment, whereas there existed a full mediation of the association between transformational leadership and job performance. Practical implications: The study finding suggested that transformational leadership was the key catalyst in both encouraging affective organizational commitment and task performance of employees throughout the mediator, employee engagement. Thus, organizations need to create a safe and positive environment that promotes employee engagement and should offer interventions for leaders to build skill sets of transformational leadership. Originality/value: Because previous studies had explored the impacts of transformational leadership on employee positive attitude and job performance separately, there is little known about how these three constructs correlate. By investigating the impacts of transformational leadership on attitude and performance simultaneously in this study, this study expanded to the extant literature by providing better understanding of transformational leadership. Moreover, given that articles on transformational leadership have been limited in the HRD literature, findings of this study can offer trustworthy information for HRD practice and encourage HRD scholars to explore transformational leadership-related research. AbstractThis paper aims to evaluate the impact and analyze the effect of transformational Leadership on organizational performance mediated by organizational Commitment, Transformational Leadership, and organizational Commitment moderated by Altruism. This research was conducted using a descriptive method at the A-certified Child Welfare Institution (LKSA) in Indonesia with a sample of 185 respondents. The approach used in this research is Structural Equation Model (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS) 3.0 analysis tool. This finding shows that altruism towards organizational Commitment is not able to improve organizational performance even though altruism has been included as a counterweight, meaning that it increases the welfare of others without realizing it for one’s benefit. It should be expected that the altruistic individual cares and wants to help even when no benefits are offered or there is no hope of getting them back. Other findings suggest that the benefits are more than just altruistic when transformational Leadership exhibits high levels of altruism. Altruistic behavior is judged relative to the norm and has the potential for much better organizational performance.

Integrating leadership and creativity theories, this study proposed and examined a model linking transformational leadership, perceived organizational support, affective organizational commitment, creativity, and performance. Structural equation modeling was thus performed using 362 employee–supervisor dyads from the international tourist hotels in Taiwan. The results indicated that both transformational leadership and perceived organizational support were significantly and positively related to employee affective organizational commitment, creativity, and performance, while affective organizational commitment had significantly positive influences on creativity and performance. Support was also found for the significant and positive mediating relationships between affective organizational commitment and the influences of both transformational leadership and perceived organizational support on creativity and performance. This study aimed to uncover the role of transformational leadership through its dimensions (exemplary influence, individual considerations, intellectual stimulation, and inspirational stimulation) in strengthening the organizational commitment in the National Employment Agency. The questionnaire is used as a means of collecting data, and the number of answers is 226 and the software adopted is the plspm R 3.5.1.The results revealed that transformational leadership has no significant impact on the organizational commitment, and that transformational leadership in its four dimensions does not affect organizational commitment as well. The study recommended raising the level of commitment in order to reduce the work pressures and encourage competencies and initiatives.

The objective of this study was to investigate the leadership style of the supervisor to develop the organization's sustainable workplace of and the extra-role behavior of employees (i.e., OCB). An organizational context of the immigration officer is explored by using the data collected from a survey of 453 immigration officers from 26 immigration officer teams in Taiwan. This study has verified the transformational leadership and organizational commitment that they have positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) of the immigration officers. Moreover, it showed that the organizational climate has a context effect on organizational commitment and OCB. Furthermore, the results of this study have shown that an aggregated transformational leadership has cross-level interactions on OCB. This study also found that the transformational leadership has strong effect on organizational commitment and OCB. This study adopts a cross-level study taking organizational environmental factors and cross-level interactions as research considerations. Because of the focus on group-level impact, the research methodology can apply the supervisor's leadership style and the organizational climate to measure whether the immigration officers have a high degree of organizational commitment and influence their OCB performance across levels. The organizational commitment of the immigration officers and their individual OCB performance could be improved by converging the organizational context effect of aggregated transformational leadership and organizational climate. This study found that the application of the transformational leadership is extremely helpful for an organization to develop sustainable workplace and extra-role behavior of employees. The authors aim to explore a better fitting leadership style that is designed for the sustainable era in believing and committing to work for cherishing resources and developing the organization toward a new sustainable direction. This study developed the questionnaire items of the Resource-Dilemma-Handling-Leadership (RDHL) scale, representing a new sustainable era's new leadership style, and then to compare it with the transformational leadership style in order to highlight the importance of RHDL for sustainable development. This study took companies, which have more than 100 employees in Taiwan as research samples. Those companies were selected because they were socially tagged as being operating continuously for more than 20 years and identifying themselves with the operational orientation of social responsibility as their business philosophy and core values for management. A total of 532 valid questionnaires were collected, with a 90.6% valid return rate, and tested with the SEM method. Consistent with the authors' inferences from the literature, the test results suggest that CSR plays the role of full mediator between RDHL and OC. CSR itself is like a sense of responsibility, giving employees a sense of mission, to complete meaningful sustainability-relevant tasks in the organization. RDHL, compared with TL, has a better prediction power on CSR and OC. Theoretically, this study implies that the impact of leadership of the organization on OC in the aspects of sustainable development should be going through the influence of the ELB system in the form of CSR to promote the organization's internal and external organizational CSR performance, with added internal strengthening power from OC. Practically, the new RDHL concepts brought up by this study include the training and enhancement of leadership skills based on the content of the scale items being explored. The new RDHL scale contains a comprehensive description of the spirit of the new sustainable era's leadership style. Background: Leaders influence and inspire others, develop strategies, organize the work and coordinate resources. Leadership style may affect nurses' performance directly and it may have positive or negative effects on nursing performance. We investigated the relationship between transformational leadership (TL), job satisfaction, and organizational commitment (OC) in Jordanian nurses. Methods: The study utilized a correlational, cross-sectional design. A sample of 253 registered nurses was recruited using a convenience sampling method from two government hospitals in Jordan. The Global Transformational Leadership (GTL) scale, job satisfaction survey, and Organizational Commitment Scale (OCS) were used to collect the data. Results: A total of 253 participants completed the study. The results showed that there was a significant and positive association between TL and job satisfaction, (r = 0.297, P = 0.000). There was a positive relationship between TL and OC (r = 0.200, P = 0.001). Conclusion: Considering the outcomes of the current study, it can be concluded that transformational leadership is one of the important leadership styles that has the potential to support nurses and improved nurses' job satisfaction and organizational commitment in Jordanian hospitals. Hence, a significant methodology is required to tackle the complicated concepts of transformational leadership (TL) and social factors in an arts industry context. This article aims to observe the direct impacts of TL on organizational commitment (OC). Furthermore, it examined the indirect effects of TL on OC and intention to stay (ITS) via person–job fit (PJF), social capital (SC), and psychological capital (PC). According to the results of this research, TL was discovered to have a positive impact on OC and PJF while having no significant effect on ITS. Furthermore, PJF had a significant impact on SC. Moreover, SC significantly influenced PC. In addition, PC was discovered to be in a significant correlation with OC while having no significant association with ITS. The influence of transformational leadership (TL) on employee turnover intention (ETI) in SMEs is explored in this research, including the mediating and moderating function of affective organizational commitment (AC) and job embeddedness (JE). Data was obtained from 456 workers of SMEs using convenience sampling. The numerous associations were estimated using Smart PLS structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). The study's findings indicate that transformative leadership and ETI have a negative and substantial association. Consequently, AC and JE mediated the association between transformative leadership and employee turnover intention. Lastly, the transformative leadership and employee turnover connections are favorably moderated by job embeddedness. To improve JE and AC and reduce employee turnover, SMEs should implement transformational leadership abilities such as developing a compelling vision for the workforce, fixating on goal attainment, having conflict approaches, a feeling of belonging, and interacting on staff professional development. Leaders should employ transformational leadership traits include creating a vision statement for employees, emphasizing on desired outcomes, implementing challenge solutions, having a purpose and direction, and devoting time to team professional development. The present research paper analyzes the relationship between employee personality, their organizational commitment and their perception of their leaders' behavior and communication quality. Following this leading research scope, a literature review is conducted, describing different models of organizational commitment and its multi-factorial structure. Leadership is discussed within the framework of transformational and transactional leadership. In these regards, the influence of leadership on organizational commitment is discussed, leading to the description of the big five framework, as a relevant concept in research on personality. The empirical study followed a quantitative approach, using a sample of n = 300 business professionals measures of emotional and behavioral commitment, perceived leadership communication quality, perceived leadership style and employee personality were administered using an online survey. Analyses followed a correlational approach, aiming at explaining the relationships between the relevant variables. Using multiple, stepwise regression analyses, the study was able to show how both emotional and behavioral commitment are predicted by employee personality (conscientiousness for both measures, neuroticism additionally for emotional commitment), by perception of transformational leadership style and by perceived leadership quality. A total of around 30% of overall variance in both measures of organizational commitment could be explained using these predictors, the multiple regression analyses revealed. Thus, the importance of leadership and leadership communication on organizational commitment could be shown alongside the role that employee personality plays. The criterion validity of the measure for emotional and behavioral commitment could also be confirmed.

This study investigated the impact of transformational leadership on affective organizational commitment and job performance with the mediating role of employee engagement. This study gathered data from 845 hotel employees in China and the structural equation modeling technique was used to verify the results. The findings indicated that transformational leadership has a positive effect on affective organizational commitment and job performance. Meanwhile, results showed that employee engagement partially mediates in the relationship between transformational leadership, affective organizational commitment, and job performance. This study contributes to the research on transformational leadership in the Chinese hospitality sector and analyzes its effects on work performance metrics. Effectively implementing leadership is critical for organizational success. In consideration of this issue, this study investigated effective leadership in US- and Germany-based multinational companies (MNCs) operating in South Korea. Drawing on transformational leadership (TL) theory and leadership contingency theory, the study clarified the contextual dependency of TL effectiveness. A survey was administered to 258 employees of the target MNCs, during which the participants were asked to rate their supervisors' transformational leadership behaviors. The responses were empirically analyzed on the basis of the research framework. The findings showed that a leader's group-focused TL behaviors indirectly influenced organizational commitment and that this relationship was mediated by psychological empowerment in the US-based MNCs. Conversely, a leader's individual-focused TL behaviors demonstrated a pronounced effect on organizational commitment and that this association was also mediated by psychological empowerment in the Germany-based MNCs. The leadership behaviors that effectively empowered employees and increased their organizational commitment differed depending on the cultures prevalent in the organizations' countries of origin. Adopting the two-dimensional model of TL, this study confirmed the contextual dependency of TL behaviors and suggested the need to incorporate an organization's cultural context into predictions regarding the effects of certain leadership behaviors. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationships between the idealized influence component of transformational leadership (TL) and employee organizational commitment in two different cultural contexts. Design/methodology/approach: Data were collected from the members of two manufacturing organizations, one in Australia and one in Iran. Questionnaires were distributed to all levels of the two organizations. In total, 189 completed questionnaires were returned from the two countries, representing a response rate of 56.7%. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed to test the hypotheses. Findings: The results demonstrated statistically significant relationships between two forms of idealized influence –attributed and behavior – and the employees' organizational commitment in the Iranian sample. However, in the Australian sample, only idealized influence behavior showed a significant impact on employee commitment. Furthermore, the findings showed that identified motivation mediates the relationship between idealized influence behavior and organizational commitment. Practical implications: The findings of the current research point to additional ways of increasing identified motivation that, in turn, enhances organizational commitment through leadership practices that are culturally informed. These findings are especially salient in culturally diverse and multinational organizations. Originality/value: This paper has arrived at a deeper explanation of the processes through which leader behavior can produce employee commitment by clarifying the mediation role of identified motivation between idealized influence behavior and organizational commitment. This study aimed to measure the effect of dimensions of transformational leadership (i.e., idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration) on organizational commitment of the teachers of four private vocational school in Tangerang which are mediated by job satisfaction. Data collection was done by simple random sampling to 175 population of lecturers. The returned and valid questionnaire results were 131 samples. Data processing was used SEM method with Smart PLS 3.0 software. The results of this study concluded: first, the dimensions of transformational leadership: idealized influence, intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration have positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, except inspirational motivation. Second, the dimensions of transformational leadership: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, and individualized consideration have not significant effect on organizational commitment, except intellectual stimulation. Third, job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment. Fourth, the dimensions of transformational leadership: idealized influence, intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration have positive and significant effect on organizational commitment through job satisfaction as mediation, but inspirational motivation have not significant effect on organizational commitment through job satisfaction as mediation. This research could pave the way to improve the lecturer readiness in facing the era of education 4.0.
