As the rapid increasing of the number of the satellites, the number of facilities of the satellite ground stations is becoming insufficient and the conflicts of serving satellite data missions exist. To make full use of the facilities of the China Remote Sensing Satellite Ground Station (RSGS), scheduling optimization of these facilities was studied in this paper, which was not well-solved by the original method in the operation system of RSGS. The problem is formulated as a continuous time-based mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model. A decomposition optimization algorithm is proposed to solve the large-scale problem, which is difficult to solve using traditional methods. In the first step, the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is used to optimize the multi-ground station relay tasks, and the multi-ground station optimization problem is transformed into several single ground station optimization problems. Next, in two additional steps, optimization of the facilities at a single ground station is performed to further reduce the size of the model. The proposed method has been applied to operations systems of RSGS, and the approach presented in this article has demonstrated stable performance and sufficient efficiency online, resulting in the automation of facility scheduling. To compare the efficacy and safety of hyperthermic intrathoracic/intraperitoneal chemotherapy versus conventional intrapleural/intraperitoneal chemotherapy in the treatment of malignant pleural or peritoneal effusion. A randomized clinical trial was carried out in 8 cancer centers across China. Patients with malignant pleural or peritoneal effusion were randomly assigned to the study group or control group. Patients in the study group were treated with cisplatin-based hyperthermic intrathoracic chemotherapy (HITHOC) or hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), while the control group was treated with conventional intrapleural or intraperitoneal chemotherapy using same chemotherapeutic regime as the study group. The objective response rate (ORR) was analyzed as primary outcome. Quality-of-life (QOL) score was recorded as secondary outcome using the questionnaire 30 (QLQ-C30) of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC). The efficacy and safety of the two treatments were compared. Total 135 patients were recruited and randomized in this study, with 67 patients in the study group and 68 patients in the control group. The ORR in the study group (80.70%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (31.03%, p < 0.001). However, neither changes of QOL scores, nor incidence rates of adverse events were significantly different between the two groups (p = 0.076 and 0.197, respectively). Xanthabraxas hemionata (Guenée, 1858) is a medium-sized and slender-bodied forest pest in China. In this study, we sequenced and analyzed the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of X. hemionata. This mitogenome was 15,309 bp long and encoded 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 transfer RNA genes (tRNAs), and 2 ribosomal RNA genes (rRNAs). The gene order was conserved and identical to that of most other previously sequenced Geometridae species. Most of the PCGs of X. hemionata, except for cox1, have the conventional ATN start codon. Except for four genes (cox1, cox2, nad5, and nad4) that end with the incomplete stop codon T−, all other PCGs terminated with the stop codon TAA. Phylogenetic analysis positioned X. hemionata in a well-supported clade with the other Ennominae species. The relationships (Ennominae + (Sterrhinae + Larentiinae)) were supported by Geometridae. Patients with urothelial carcinoma (UC) of the bladder have a high risk of death in China. However, a lack of comprehensive molecular profiling in Chinese Han population hinders the development of targeted therapies for bladder cancer. In our present study, we collected fresh bladder tumors from low-grade (T1, N0, M0, G1) non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) patients (n = 16) and high-grade (T2-4, N0, M0, Gx) muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) patients (n = 16) with their paired normal bladder tissues, and subjected the total genomic DNAs to targeted next-generation sequencing (NGS) for 94 cancer-associated genes. NGS results showed that 30.9% of detected genes (29/94) was mutated in 32 urothelial carcinoma bladder tissues. Furthermore, our results and ICGC database showed that FGFR3, KMT2D, TP53, KDM6A, and ARID1A were the most frequently mutated genes in UC patients. Of note, NMIBC and MIBC displayed distinguishable genomic alterations. FGFR3, KMT2D, AKT1, ARID1A, and STAG2 were the most frequently mutated genes in NMIBC patients, whereas mutations of TP53, CREBBP, FGFR3, KDM6A, KMT2D, and ARID1A were frequently detected in MIBC. Intriguingly, gene ontology and clustering analysis revealed that these frequently mutated genes were highly enriched in signaling pathways responsible for cancer development. Taken together, the mutation frequency of genes associated with UC development in NMIBC and MIBC was screened out in Chinese Han population and elucidation of the related mechanisms provides theoretical basis and technical support for the development of early diagnosis and therapeutic strategies in UC. Elodea nuttallii (Planch.) H. St John is an invasive alien submerged macrophyte, which grows very fast and dominates in many Chinese waters. Bellamya aeruginosa (Reeve) is a widely distributed benthonic organism in China. This snail species rarely grazes submerged macrophytes and may promote their growth by feeding on epiphyte and phytoplankton. The above two species can commonly be found together in nature waters and their interaction may promote the growth of both species, which could disturb the ecological balance. In this paper, effects of different densities of B. aeruginosa at two different nutrient stages on water quality and the growth of E. nuttallii were studied. The results showed that the growth rates (GRs) of E. nuttallii were not significantly affected by different B. aeruginosa densities in the low nutrient (LN) stage. However, in the high nutrient (HN) stage, the GRs of the aboveground parts of E. nuttallii in the high density (HD) groups were considerably higher than the control (CK) and low density (LD) groups. The water chlorophyll (Chl) and nitrate-nitrogen (NO3-N) contents increased substantially with increasing B. aeruginosa density in the LN stage, while the Chl and NO3-N contents in the LD groups were significantly higher than in the HD and CK groups in the HN stage. The results of this paper indicated that B. aeruginosa could promote the growth of E. nuttallii by reducing the Chl contents in the water in high-nutrient environment rather than in low-nutrient environment, which highlighted that B. aeruginosa may strengthen the invisibility of E. nuttallii in eutrophic water caused by human activities. Monolepta hieroglyphica (Motschulsky, 1858) is a major pest of potato, maize, cotton and sorghum in China. In this study, we sequenced and analyzed the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of M. hieroglyphica. This mitogenome was 15,761 bp long and encoded 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 transfer RNA genes (tRNAs) and two ribosomal RNA unit genes (rRNAs). Gene order was conserved and identical to most other previously sequenced Galerucinae Most PCGs of M. hieroglyphica have the conventional start codons ATN (six ATT, five ATG and one ATC), with the exception of nad1 (TTG). Except for three genes (cox1, nad4 and nad5) end with the incomplete stop codon T––, all other PCGs terminated with the stop codon TAA or TAG. The whole mitogenome exhibited heavy AT nucleotide bias (80.0%). Phylogenetic analysis positioned M. hieroglyphica in a well-supported clade within the subfamily Galerucinae with Monolepta occifluvis, Monolepta sp. and Paleosepharia posticata. Pinus densiflora var. zhangwuensis S.J.Zhang, C.X.Li & X.Y.Yuan, a tree species with promising afforestation potential in northern China. Here, we assembled and annotated the complete chloroplast (cp) genome of P. densiflora var. zhangwuensis using the Oxford Nanopore sequencing technology. The cp genome was 119,725 bp in length, exhibiting a typical quadripartite structure with a large single-copy (LSC: 65,552 bp) and a small single-copy (SSC: 53,183 bp) separated by a pair of inverted repeats regions (IRA and IRB: each of 495 bp) region. The overall GC content is 37.3%. The genome was predicted to encode 112 distinct genes, including 72 protein-coding, 36 tRNA, and four rRNA genes. Maximum-likelihood (ML) phylogenetic for cp genome sequences of 18 Pinaceae species revealed that P. densiflora var. zhangwuensis was closely related to Pinus sylvestris. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

During the examination of specimens of Theleporus and Grammothele (Polyporales, Basidiomycota) from tropical China, three new species, Theleporus membranaceus, T. minisporus and Grammothele denticulata, were identified based on both morphological and phylogenetic analyses. They are described and illustrated. T. membranaceus is characterized by its extremely thin basidiocarps (0.12 mIn), small pores (7-10 per mm) and ellipsoid to broadly ellipsoid basidiospores. T. minisporus has the smallest basidiospores among the species in the genus. Grammothele denticulata is distinguished in the genus by gray pores, continuous hymenia over dissepiment edge and cylindrical basidiospores with tapering apex. Two annotated identification keys are provided for species thus far accepted in Theleporus and Grammothele. The phylogenetic relationships of Theleporus and Grammothele were inferred based on nITS sequences and are briefly discussed. Species of PhyUoporia (Hymenochaetales, Basidiomycota) are polypores with tiny, yellowish and thick-walled basidiospores and are highly divergent in morphology. The monophyly of 35 cosmopolitan isolates of Phylloporia was strongly supported based on analysis of the nLSU rDNA gene but with exclusion of P. resupinata. Among the 19 lineages recognized in the nLSU rDNA phylogeny five new species from China, Phylloporia crataegi, P. fontaneo siae, P. gutta, P. nandinae and P. oreophila, were revealed and these species are introduced with additional morphological evidence. Polypores produce poroid basidiocarps and have the capacity to degrade lignocelluloses. Their ecological patterns are generally related to the type of forest ecosystem. Here, we investigated diversity and preferences for hosts and substrates for polypores from a boreal forest zone, a temperate and warm temperate forest zone, and a tropical and subtropical forest zone in China. The tropical and subtropical forest zone harbored the highest polypore diversity. The temperate and warm temperate forest zone showed a greater similarity of polypore diversity to the boreal forest zone than to the tropical or subtropical forest zone, although the representative areas of temperate and warm temperate forest and tropical and subtropical forest zones are geographically closer. The species number and proportion of brown rot polypores decreased from the boreal forest to tropical and subtropical forest zone by 22 and 21.8%, respectively. Fallen trunks were the most attractive substrate for polypores in all three zones, but the proportion of polypores on fallen trunks decreased from the boreal forest to tropical and subtropical forest zone by 20%. Generally, these distinctions could be explained by the varied proportion of gymnosperm and angiosperm trees, as well as different substrate diversity in the three forest zones with different climatic conditions. In this study we describe a new Neotyphodium species, Neotyphodium sinicum, found in natural symbiosis with asymptomatic Roegneria spp. (Elymus spp.) native to China. We investigated the host specificity, morphology, mating compatibility and molecular phylogenetic evidence for recognition of this new species. N. sinicum is host specific and seedborne and widely distributed in China. Most morphological characteristics of this new species are typical of other Neotyphodium species, but the growth on PDA plates tends to be more rapid. Three of five N. sinicum strains examined had double alleles of tefA and two of the five strains had double alleles of both tubB and tefA. Phylogenetic relationships based on sequences of tubB introns and tefA introns revealed that the allele-1 of tefA and tubB clustered together in a distinct subclade in the Epichloë bromicola/E, yangzii clade. The allele-2 grouped in the Epichloë typhina clade (ETC). N. sinicum therefore appears to be an interspecific hybrid related to both E. yangzii and members of ETC. Ilex viridis Champ. ex Benth. is domestic to southern China. In the present work, the complete chloroplast (cp) genome sequence of Ilex viridis was assembled and characterized by high-throughput sequencing analyses. The chloroplast genome was 157,701 bp in length, consisting of large single-copy (LSC) and small single-copy (SSC) regions of 87,177 bp and 18,394 bp, respectively, which were separated by a pair of 26,065 bp inverted repeat (IR) regions. The genome was predicted to contain 134 genes, including 89 protein-coding genes, 37 tRNA genes, and 8 rRNA genes. The overall GC content of the genome is 37.7%. The phylogenetic tree reconstructed using 13 chloroplast genomes reveals that I. viridis is mostly related to Ilex szechwanensis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Vaccinium fragile, an endemic species in China, is a plant of the family Vacciniaceae. It is an evergreen shrubby tree distributed in Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, and Tibet province of China. The chloroplast (cp) genome of V. fragile is 169,480 bp in size containing 123 unique genes, including 8 rRNA genes, 38 tRNA genes, and 77 protein-coding genes (PCGs). Phylogenetic analysis exhibited that both V. macrocarpon and V. fragile were phylogenetically closer to Arbutus unedo than other taxa in this study. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Streaked Rosefinch (Carpodacus rubicilloides) is a poorly-known bird species distributed in China and Himalayas. In this paper, we described the whole mitochondrial genome of the Streaked Rosefinch. The entire mitochondrial sequences were determined using long-range PCR and conserved primer walking approaches. The results demonstrated that the whole mitochondrial genome of C. rubicilloides was 16,805 bp in length with 53.9% A + T content; the genome harbored the same gene order as that of other passerine birds, including 13 protein-coding genes, 2 rRNA genes, 22 tRNA genes, and 1 non-coding control region. The control region (D-loop) of C. rubicilloides was located between tRNA-Gln and tRNA-Phe with 1228 bp length. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that the genome of Carpodacus species clustered within a clade and is closer related to other Fringillidae species than Anatidae species.
